and Eve can sense his aura fading which makes her sad
RUN!
Grovyle had been running ever since they had set foot outside and Eve was starting to tire. When she just stopped dead in her tracks Grovyle stopped too. "Come on Eve they'll catch up if we stop now" he said turning around to look at her. She seemed to be staring past him at something he couldn't see. "Eve" Grovyle swallowed as he saw the look of dread on Eve's face. "He's dead" she whimpered "They killed him, he's dead" she wailed. "What" Grovyle yelped "Who" he asked trembling as he saw that Eve's eyes were shining like she was having a Dimensional scream but with her eyes open. "Snow, he's dying" Eve blurted out but not really quickly "I can feel it, his aura drifting away" she whispered. "She's there to though and now their together again" Eve continued without a blink. "Who" Grovyle asked.
"Snow's love, his mate, the only one he truly cared for" Eve explained watching intently at some scene unfolding before her and only her. "Their leaving together to a sunny place, a happy place, one with no pain…" Eve voice drifted off and she blinked. The shine gone from her eyes she turned to look at Grovyle "What are you staring at Grovyle" she asked putting her hands on her hips. Grovyle's mouth was wide open but he hadn't noticed and clamped it shut quickly. He hadn't known Eve could sense aura, she did mention that Lucario had tried her but he hadn't realised the training had worked. From what he understood only a select few human's had the ability to control or even sense aura and well Eve was one of them now he guessed. Just then a "Weh-heh-he" was heard not far in the distance.
"WAH Sableye, run" Eve called pelting off in the opposite direction to the noise. Grovyle jumped into the trees and scrambled off after Eve, her strange 'vision' forgotten.
Eve and Grovyle ran not knowing where they were running or if it was in the right direction. They had run non-stop through several forest dungeons and one kinda rocky dungeon. Then had stopped to rest for a short time before continuing on at a slower pace. Eve hopped that the dungeon had slowed Dusknoir down or maybe even lost some of his minions to the aggressive inhabitants of the separate dungeons or better yet they had lost them all together. Eve walked on, her muscles protesting every step. Eve felt like she was wearing metal boots with stones in the bottom. Finally she couldn't take it any longer and just slumped to the ground. "I can't go any further" Eve huffed out of breath as Grovyle dropped to the ground from the tree tops.
"Fine" he said looking around he jumped into a grey leafy tree and used leaf blade to cut masses of leaves from the branch. The leaves fell to the ground and Grovyle shifted them into a rough nest. Eve fell into the leafy bed immediately "Thank you Grovyle" Eve mumbled her eyes barley open. "Don't go to sleep yet" Grovyle pleaded "do you know where we have to go" he asked. "To the desert, there's one in the north" Eve mumbled stifling a yawn. "Ok" said Grovyle nodding thoughtfully but Eve was already asleep. Her chest rose and fell slowly and her hair was in her face, flicking whenever she breathed out. Grovyle stayed awake keeping an eye out for any movement. His yellow eye reflected the moons light allowing him to see very well in the dark.
Grovyle keep watch and silence for what Grovyle guessed would have been hours on end. Eve stirred in the nest and rolled onto her side. Grovyle looked down at her from the corner of his eye, she didn't look very happy. In fact it looked like she was upset and a single tear rolled down her cheek and dropped to the ground. No more tears came though; Eve breathed in deeply then exhaled calming herself. The silver streak left by the tear soon dried and Grovyle would never had known that she had cried if he hadn't looked at the right moment. Grovyle usually dismissed these kinds of things; he thought Eve would tell him if it was important. Nothing was ever as he thought it seemed now and Eve was one of those people that kept everything bottled up inside. She was strong and independent but in a way that was her weakness, she wasn't like other females that would spill everything they knew within seconds, no.
He'd see how it went, observe before you act was one of Grovyle's top rules; it contrasted well with Eve's charge in without thinking rule. She was always happy though always jolly always positive. So Grovyle would watch, watch and see and if Eve was acting strangely he would finally confront her about it. She was the only person he cared for, in this world and it broke his heart to see her sad.
