"Well, Two more questions before we retire for the night," Lind said, stretching a little.

"Who made you the boss?" Urd asking, getting a little annoyed.

"It is a suggestion, Urd. For I thought we were goddesses, not couch potatoes," Lind replied, not bothering to look at the Norn of the past.

When Skuld giggled a little, Urd glared at her and said, "That wasn't funny. Besides, it was also aimed at you."

Skuld looked incensed, but retorted with, "At least I get out of the house in one week than you have in one month. I think you're becoming a NEET!"

Belldandy looked at Keiichi, who answered, "It's an acronym. It means 'Not in Education, Employment, or Training' and it's pretty much an insult."

Urd growled a little and curled her hands into fists. Before a fight could break out, Belldandy said, "Enough! someone ask a question!"

"Machine, please show us one of the possibilities of what if this human world learned of our divinity," Peorth asked.

The television quickly came up with something. The image was of Urd sitting at a desk, staring at the camera. A keyboard was just barely out of view.

-oOoOo-

Urd sighed as she ran her hands through her hair, giving off the feeling that if she were not a goddess, she'd have bags under her eyes.

"I've been told that keeping a diary might help things. Dunno how true it might be, but I'm not gonna complain if it works. Since I don't feel like writing, I'm gonna do it in a video."

She typed for a little bit before a picture of a rally near N.I.T. appeared in the upper right corner.

With a bit of an angry tone, she said, "It's been almost a year since that event with Sayoko and Mara. The one where we were forced to reveal ourselves as goddesses to the world at large. I still haven't got a good reason why the brats in the Time and Memories division didn't fix the problem. I mean, it was a minor event compared to when I was possessed by-"

Urd stopped to do some breathing exercises. When she was done, she regained some of her composure.

"They gave some hoohaa about some crap involving the specifics about the wish that Keiichi made with Belldandy, some deals that Heaven was making, and some other stuff that honestly sounded like they were pulling stuff out of their asses. But they offered some crap of an option. One that we accepted because it seemed good at the time. Whenever we contact Heaven about it, they still try telling me that it's a good option."

She pressed a key and the picture in the corner changed to an image of a white wolf with red markings all over it.

"Because of the amount of manpower and energy demands, they added alongside our main power source and secondary ones... a really old, outdated one. While we still can grant a single wish that gives a major boost of energy to Yggdrasil, we Norns can also work our asses off to get minor boosts of power from getting praised by humans. Oddly enough, there's a video game with that mechanic. Haven't played it and don't really feel like it."

Urd rested her elbows on the table and rested her head in her hands.

"So because we were revealed to the world at large because of the news being broadcasted to a number of places in Japan, a few TV watchers and anyone in Nekomi with a phone that has a camera decided to send a few videos across the web. Cue the world governments freaking out."

She stat up and pressed a few more keys. The image in the corner now became a video of The Norns and Keiichi at the general assembly building at the Headquarters of the United Nations. Belldandy was seen speaking, but no sound was being heard. Urd gestured to the video.

"You'd think that humans would be happy that there are gods and that their prayers are being heard. True, a large number were pleased, almost beyond relief. That gave us a good amount of energy to work with."

The video then showed Belldandy shocked at something being said to her, but she then grew annoyed and appeared to argue back.

"A dangerous number of humans in various positions of power decided that we were demons, there to begin the end times"

Urd began to chuckle for a bit before going onto a laugh.

"If we were demons, we wouldn't be revealing ourselves for just any purpose. Greed for more shares and pride for being able to lord both wealth and power over you all would be reason enough to keep our identities a secret. Only a complete moron would give it all up for something as petty as laughing at the masses at large. With that in mind, I understand Mara revealing herself, but not Hagal. Hild's up to something and I'm not sure what."

In the video, someone asked a question to Belldandy. As she answered the question, more than a few members of the United Nations seemed to get angier

"Ah, I remember this part. Someone asked what happens to human souls when humans die. Belldandy explained that the souls are reincarnated as soon as possible, so to prevent them from dissipating into nothingness. More often than not, they are put into a simulation that allows them to relax and get ready to be reincarnated. As for what the simulation is, it's whatever the soul is willing go through to accept reincarnation. The idea that a few people had that their hated enemies might be their cherished loved ones in a previous life got a large number of people pissed off."

Urd fast forwarded the video a bit. From what could be seen, Belldandy was doing her best to calm down everyone that was yelling at her and her sisters, as well as placating those who seemed to be giving a murderous glare at Keiichi and the Norns.

"Then came a few questions that we couldn't answer. It wasn't that we didn't know the answers, it's more that certain program protocols preventing us from even trying to think of how to give the answers to humans. The question? Did anything exist before the current reality and how did existance begin? Thankfully, a few showoff spells did help allow us to get things back on track, even if the spells were more suited to some shows in Vegas."

The people in the video then asked a few more questions. Whatever answer Belldandy gave shocked the audience.

"Ah yes… The moment where we let them know that demons really existed. Kinda funny the difference between believing something exists and then being told that it exists by an entity that can provide proof of it by being similar to it in a few ways. One or two numbskulls of representatives of some nations decided that being able to show proof that demons existed was proof that we were demons. I only half-count, but I didn't tell them that and Bell thankfully avoided answering about it."

Urd then fast forwarded the video even faster this time. It was a long drawn out argument between the Norns and the United nations, but it appeared to end well, as the Norns and Keiichi seemed really pleased. Urd even seemed to have a smile on her face as she watched the video.

"Anyhoo, we managed to get the humans' United Nations to let us prove ourselves in a few crapsacks of a nations, even with us making sure that we were neutral to all nations and a large number of religions condemning us as demons. The tests were kinda fun and we even were reminded how good it feels when granting wishes."

Another key stroke and the video changed to one where Belldandy was using her powers to cure someone of injuries and diseases. In the upper left corner, a video of Urd using her potion knowledge to clean a river was shown. In the lower right corner corner was an image of Skuld and an army of Mini-Banpeis making a Dam.

Urd's smile faded into a smirk, but was no less happy.

"Of course, as we passed the tests, and moved onto different countries, we were contracted by various companies. To the surprise of no one, I was contacted by a number of pharmaceutical companies and Skuld was sought out by any company with a robotic bent. Belldandy was pretty much our spokesgoddess for the United Nations."

A press of a button and the three windows changed. The one in the upper left was now a picture of Urd at a meeting with various people, each had papers with different logos on them. The one in the lower left was the two older Norns studying various papers as a pensive Skuld looked on. The picture at the upper right was similar to the video where the Norns and Keiichi were at the United Nations, but Belldandy was not with her sisters and was dressed far more professionally.

"It took quite a bit of time to sift the gems from the slime. Even with the unspoken threat that we could call the elements all around the world, there'll always be someone who'll try to scam us to make some easy cash. Belldandy was the least targeted and I was the most targeted. Skuld was somewhere in the middle."

She then leaned back far enough that she was now looking up at the ceiling. Urd began to spin her chair around.

"And I've gotten at least 10,000,000 marriage proposals as well as 9,000,000 death threats and everything in between on my very own Facebook page… I just don't have the time. And I'm a Norn of it~!"

From what could be seen of Urd's face, a thought came to her. She stopped her chair, so she was facing the camera again. She looked downwards and began to ponder for a moment.

"At least I think Bell was the least targeted. She might not even consider it being scammed. I really should ask her harder, but she's been under a lot of stress lately. "

Urd sighed as she pressed a button to close the windows.

"As for Keiichi… Well, both fame and hatred hit him hard. He was the one who called us to Earth, so he now has a place in the spotlight for reasons he never wanted to. Sure, he wanted to become famous for coming up with an incredible motorcycle design…"

She began to tap the table for a few moments.

"...But from what I can gather, he gave up that dream in a matter of weeks after our secret was out. He never said anything, but it's the look in his eyes."

Urd tapped a button as she looked at the camera. In the upper right corner, a picture of Keiichi looking at a pond in an unfamiliar area was shown. Keiichi looked fairly calm, but there was a feeling of depression in his eyes, like a sense of purpose had been lost from him for some time.

"For someone who wants to stand on his own and realize his dreams with his own two hands, the knowledge that your girlfriend's divinity will make anything you design an instant success, regardless of its merits, must have been soul crushing. He's been doing an excellent job in fooling Skuld, but not me or Bell. As for what he's been doing when not with Belldandy. He still has been going into races. Quite a few of them, he's actually won! Yeah, it seems like racing is one of the few pleasure's he has from before..."

Urd looked at the screen. She trembled for a moment before she pressed another key, removing the picture. She let out a sigh of relief once she saw the picture was gone.

"As for where Keiichi was in that picture, it's in some protected area where we can live in peace. Nekomi isn't a safe area for us to live there anymore. It's now a hotspot for all our fans, though. Last I heard, Chihiro's business is doing really great! She opened her ...sixth or seventh store a few days ago. Yeah, Chihiro's still in contact with Belldandy and Keiichi, though the paranoid part of me thinks the Japanese Government is making Chihiro do whatever she can to make Keiichi and Belldandy think of Japan first. The gruesome Twosome is sorta in contact with Keiichi, though it's more of a side-effect of them working under Chihiro."

Another click of a key and some pictures popped up. One showed Skuld working on a metal skeleton of an arm and another was of a cheerful Urd in a labcoat looking over some vials of chemicals.

"Skuld's been having a wonderful time with both making all kinds of robots, though she seems focused on mostly making humanoid robots. Skuld sometimes dabbles in making robots that are somewhat designed like animals every once in awhile. Still, the humanoid robot-making does have a nice little benefit. The extra arms and legs of the robots have been given to anyone who's lost an arm or a leg, though I've heard some rumors that some have been 'appropriated' by some folks who wanted to become a cyborg or a would-be superhero. As for my career in medicine, it's so-so. Like I expected, for every disease I cure, another one pops up. Sometimes, it's because there's a number of people who refuse whatever cure I whip up. Other times…"

Urd shrugged.

"Mara's as skilled in biology as I am in chemistry and Skuld in technology, but Mara's been a bit of a good girl lately, since she and Hagal are Hild's ambassadors. How the two of them avoided getting denounced by the UN, I'll never know. I don't think Mara's spent much time with Sayoko, so I guess I can't go with that theory... Speaking of her, Sayoko's also been a bit too quiet, at least for her. I had expected her to be one of our denouncers, but she's been fairly neutral. I suspect that her father is keeping her close and doing whatever he can to keep her quiet. Maybe he's worried, scared, angry, or whatever, but Sayoko was a bit pensive when I saw her last, almost begging me or Bell to do something or not do something. Don't know her well enough to tell the difference."

She pressed another button and removed the pictures.

"So to sum it up, Skuld and I are practically worshipped because our skills in medicine and robots are bettering lives. Belldandy is working with the United Nations and seems to be doing her best to bring peace to the world. Keiichi is kinda our glue keeping us together and probably the one person who we can all trust to tell his honest opinion without getting scared of us getting upset… at least not too much,."

She pressed a button, bringing up a picture of a younger Mara and Urd cheerfully smiling at the camera and waving. Urd hissed and pressed another key, replacing the picture. This one was a more recent one, where Mara was glaring at the camera.

"As I mentioned before, Mara has been behaving. No pranks, schemes, or deals heavily weighted in her favor. She's practically acting like... Well, can't say a saint, but she's been doing remarkably well. Especially with people who either don't believe in getting something for free or the kind of people who believe in paying back miracle workers. Then again, There's a number of people who purposely do deals with Mara and Hagal simply because they don't call themselves gods. Go fig. So that's it for now. In about an hour or two, I have to go with some agent dude assigned to us and check out the results of a project that Skuld and I are working on.."

A picture popped up of a small army of Mini-Banpeis gathering garbage from a dump.

"It's more of a test run, but I hope it goes well. Skuld's made a few devices that'll recycle stuff. What it can't recycle, it turns into fuel.. somehow. I'm not too sure of the specifics. As for my part in it, I use a few potions to rejuvenate the Earth after any garbage dump has been picked clean. Skuld and I can't take the whole credit for it. It was agent dude from some country who came up with it. Can't really remember their name at the moment."

Urd shrugged for a moment before she clicked something that ended the video.

-oOoOo-

For nearly a minute after the video log had ended, no one spoke.

"Huh... Guess Keiichi's worries had some validity... That's quite a crazy situation. I may not care too much about that kind of stuff, but... I'd rather not have to deal with it either," Urd muttered. "And I wonder how much we heard was the truth?"

"You lie to your diaries?" Belldandy asked, looking a bit shocked while her sister turned around and saw that the others were surprised as well.

"Maybe a few times. Even if I sit there and try to make something like that, I occasionally say I'd like to hear, not what really happened. I know that it's not accurate, but... hey! It make me feel better," said Urd with a sigh. "Even if I say the truth, it may not be the whole story, so, getting a conclusion from that might be difficult."

"Well, I wonder if my counterpart will appear? With the situation being this volatile, I suppose it's only going to be a matter of time before we might need to protect Keiichi from all sorts of people who might wish to get their hands on him," said Lind. "Still, I wish it was merely to pay a visit instead of just being a bodyguard for him and the others. While i enjoy fighting, this is a situation that could go really grim if handled poorly."

Peorth nodded before she said, "I really hope so, Lind. Humans can be very sensitive when some of their beliefs are debased and... things might get a bit out of hand I hope so for my counterpart as well.

"If they saw what you wear on a regular basis, the word beleif would simply disappear from their vocabulary," muttered Urd with a smirk.

"Excuse me, miss Modesty!" sneered Peorth back at the goddess of the past. "Not only you're the last person who has the right to say this, but... it's not like we live in the middle ages! Human society has grown out of that phase and is much more open minded nowadays. On the other hand, it would be nice to see how we might act in a human world where we can freely use our powers."

"Well, I won't argue with that..." said Urd with a shrug.

Skuld smiled as she recalled all the robots her counterpart was working on. 'I think I'm jealous... out of everyone, I think I got the best part of the deal...'

-oOoOo-

Mara glared at the screen for a few moments before she looked down. "Even in another world, Urd thinks I'm a loser."

Chibi-Hild made a 'tsk' noise a few times before she said, "Mara, not everyone is completely honest with diaries. I doubt even Belldandy would be completely honest with whatever diary she might have. Besides, you do well when you're given time and room to think. It's when you get even the slightest bit impulsive that you fall flat on your face."

Mara merely groaned in depression.

"Mokkurkalfi? your thoughts?" Chibi-hild asked.

"I can't really say. It seems kinda biased in the goddesses' favor, but like you referred to, we're only learning only what the video-Urd is talking about. Otherwise, I'm miffed at the idea that the video-version of me isn't showing off her awesome skills to the humans," Mokkurkalfi answered.

"Well, you do bring up a good point. We're only getting one side and it's doubtful that we'll get a demonic viewpoint. I'm kinda sad at that," Chibi-Hild said.

Notes from HotelKatz : And here is Nevermore's question. They're another person I know from the Goddess Relief Office forum. And here is something potentially awesome. They are planning on writing their own answer to their question and it will be its own fic! So if you guys want to help them with it, let me know and I'll let Nevermore know.

elgordo of The Goddess Relief Office forums was the betareader of this chapter. They also came up with the part where Urd mentions Facebook, but left the numbers to me.

While I wrote the original version of the Temple's commentary, zeroIQ improved it.

The part about reincarnation was something I borrowed from a manga called Happy World.

I really do apologize for taking so long putting this chapter out. This chapter and the next are tough to write. As for how tough the next one is... the next goddess journal is Belldandy's.
