Chapter 20 C: Time's up

The next day...day of invasion

Both sides flew their flags proudly and both sides were once again ready to draw each others blood. Each faced each other, giving both sides a distance of over three thousand feet. Once again, as if they weren't sick of it, silence overtook the area. This time Celestia was prepared for their attack, clearing all of the clouds from the sky and preparing the wolves for bombardment before the artillery had even been set up. Nothing was going to surprise them or take them off guard this time around.

"The traps are set, Celestia. I hope you know what you are doing." Yuko said.

"I have stayed on the side lines long enough. If I am suppose to be princess of Equestria then I must be ready to face my enemies head on." Celestia said, narrowing her eyes. "The time to be merciful is over...it's time for judgement. FORM UP!"

The army behind Celesita stood in formation as Sombra, Luna, Cadance, Chrysalis, and Nightmare stood alone on the wall.

"Where are the others?" Yuko asked Celestia.

"The elements are safe inside along with Blueblood, and Lightning Dust. Discord is down below with the wolves, being himself as usual."

"And Enderpearl and Endershine?"

Celestia pointed out towards the open field.

"Front lines...waiting to spring the trap."

"What should we do now?"

"Wait...it's their move."

Minutes later, Death Fire himself stepped out into view, demanding the attention off all that saw him. He wore faded gold armor and his stolen royal robes as if to mock the princesses he was about to face. Simply embracing the moment, he stood in the field of snow, watching as if he was waiting for something to happen. Only moments later did he began to laugh to himself before raising his hoof into the air.

"Prepare the guns!"

Just like Celestia had witnessed before, huge artillery cannons rolled into view and positioned themselves, raising the canons high into the air and readying to fire.

"Was I not telling the truth all those years ago, Celestia? Were you that oblivious to what was to come. You had your chance a thousand years ago to end it there, but you chose to spare me when you cast away your very own sister. Blood will be spilled like wine, war will erupt like pillars of fire and steel will be crafted into creations never before seen by our eyes. The dead will rise again from desolation and the army of shades and shadows will conquer all through the dark bearer of magic. There will be nowhere to hide…peace will forever die…and none will survive the reign of death and fire." Death Fire quoted, remembering his past. "Now...it's time to fulfil my prediction with your demise and ensure my rightful place as ruler of this world forever."

"Guns ready!" A commanding officer informed form a distance.

"Open fire!"

Celestia watched as the cannons blazed in the distance, hering the thunderous sounds of their power seconds later, frightening all that heard them.

"Here they come." Celestia said to the others.

Magic sparked inside of her horn as the others followed shortly afterwards. The sound of the shells flying through the wind could now be heard clearly as they approached the city. Several seconds passed before the shell came into view, hurling down towards them.

"Now." Celestia ordered.

Just before the shells hit, a magical shield was conjured around the entire city, blocking everything from entering indefinitely. As the shells exploded onto the shield, the force of the blasts and sure sound alone shocked and frightened everyone that heard it, forcing some to take cover even though they were perfectly protected. The only thing they could only compare the shells explosions to was meteors colliding into the earth as they crashed into the barrier.

"Discord, get ready!" Celestia called out.

Dicord was wearing sunglasses, watching the explosions above like they were fireworks.

"Did you say something, Celestia?" Discord asked.

"Get ready!"

"Yeah, I got that covered, stop worrying."

"Well in case you haven't noticed, we're kind of in trouble here!"

"Like I said, stop worrying so much."

Cannon after cannon was fired and each time the shield blocked the attack, making Death Fire agitated.

"More firepower on the double!" He ordered.

"They're dishing out what they can, let them do their job!" Crystal shield yelled.

"I said more, throw yourselves into the cannons if you must, just bring that city down!"

"Sire, the cannons are going to overheat at this rate. If you don't let them cool off then they are going to malfunction!"

"Then fire everything we got!"

"Everything!?"

"Did I stutter! I said everything!" Death Fire ordered.

Crystal shield punched in some number into his com, bringing it up to his mouth.

"Flash, he wants everything we got."

"Then we'll give him a light show." Flash said before the connection was disconnected.

Minutes later, several thousand ponies with huge rocket launchers and lasers cannons walked onto the field along with hundreds of smaller artillery units. Once they had set up there was no second thought as they unleashed everything they had into the shield. From what Death Fire could see...or rather couldn't see, was the city being lit up like a christmas tree on fire. Yet after all this, the shield still did not budge.

"Why won't it break!" Death Fire screamed. "I ordered them to fire everything we had, so why won't it break!"

At that same moment within the shield, Celestia turned to Discord.

"Do it!"

Discord snapped his fingers and just like that, everything that made contact with the shield suddenly stopped dead in it's tracks. It took several moments before Death Fire realized what just happened.

"Stop firing, now!" He ordered frantically.

As the onslaught ceased, everyone could now see thousands of shells, rockets and other projectiles simply floating in midair above the city. Celestia then turned to Nightmare with a saddened look.

"What you are about to do will forever haunt my memories...but I see no other way to put an end to his reign." She said softly.

"We had no choice…" Nightmare said as her horn burst into a dark blue color.

All of the projectiles of war were then coated in a dark blue color as they were spun around to face the enemy.

"And they will forgive us for what we have to do."

With just one flash from her horn the objects were flung back at the enemy at ten times the speed, breaking the sound barrier effortlessly. Death Fire was the only one that reacted as he teleported out of the way before thousands of shells collided into the army, starting a chain reaction of explosions that lit up the field like the sun. It took over ten minutes before the smoke cleared, revealing what many would erase from their memories if they could.

Death Fire appeared once again at the exact spot he left minutes before, standing in a crater almost two-hundred feet long and fifty feet deep.

"They actually fired back...those little #* #^ actually fired back!"

Death Fire jumped out of the crater, witnessing first hand what his weapons could do to anything they were pointed at. Metal was scattered everywhere and craters filled the battlefield as if the ground had turned into honey comb. He took one step forward before he stepped onto what he thought was a disembodied foreleg. He picked it up with magic and started to eat the leg before Crystal Shield popped his head out from the rubble.

"What the heck was that?!" He asked, still dazed.

"Failure...pure, delicious failure." Death Fire said, muffled by the food in his mouth.

Crystal took one look at what Death Fire was doing before turning away in disgust.

"How many did we lose." Death Fire asked, not even showing a hint of remorse.

"Considering how many we assigned to the front lines and then the added forces...one-hundred twenty…"

"That does seem so-
"One-hundred twenty thousand."

Death Fire threw the foreleg to the side, growling in annoyance as the rest of the army moved in behind him.

"Send in waves battalions twelve, fifteen, and nineteen ." Death Fire ordered.

"Sir, that would include the newest-
"I am aware of what they hold and at this point I could care less. Call them in."

Crystal Shield looked down to his comlink, seeing that is was broken and beyond repair before he turned to face the army behind him.

"You heard him, send in the battalions!"

Moments later, Flash Sentry flew into view and landed next to Death Fire.

"Shining Armor has been informed of what has happened, he is sending in the special units you requested now."

"Good, the faster the better."

"Infact, here comes one now."

They looked behind them to see what looked like a heavily armored box with a cannon strapped onto the top. It rolled up slowly, stopping only inches away from where Death Fire stood. Shining opened the hatch from the top and jumped out onto the floor below.

"Here you go, just as asked." Shining said, kneeling.

"What is thing again?" Crystal asked.

"Oh, I'm sure I'll come up with a name for it. For now...tank should suffice." Death Fire said, looking towards the city with new found resolve. "Burn it to the ground!"

With that, the tank rolled onto the field along with eighty-thousand others, all information and pointing right at the city. Celestia looked to Sombra and nodded to him.

"Is it time?" Sombra asked.

Celestia only nodded as a reply.

"Hold the fort while I'm gone then, will you?" Sombra said with a smirk before he faded away in black smoke.

Minutes passed after he left, making the others wonder if Sombra had abandoned them without even a proper warning until black smoke started to surround the city. Just when the tanks were about to fire, Sombra appeared before them as a huge cloud of darkness as big as the city itself, stopping everyone in their tracks. Sombra roared into the night sky, demanding all to gaze into his form just as he charge forward and swallowed everything in his path. Everything that touched the smoke simply vanished within and it was heading straight for Death Fire.

"You think I'm scared of a little cloud! HAVE A TASTE OF REAL POWER!" Death Fire screamed.

Without thinking, he powered up and blew away everyone that stood next to him, sending them out a good hundred feet. He formed a large ball into his hoof and threw it right into the cloud, forcing the smoke to disperse in a huge explosion of fire and energy. When the smoke cleared, Death Fire could only see the remains of what tanks were with no sign of life to be seen. As the tyrant slammed his hoof into the dirt in rage, Sombra appeared next to Celestia, putting out the fire in his hair.

"He's definitely curious if you can't tell already. We have him worried, keep this up and he will continue to slip up." Sombra declared.

"We may win after all." Luna whispered.

"We're not out of this yet." Chrysalis pointed out as she extended her hoof forward. "He seems to be calling in a lot more soldiers now."

Celestia looked out to see Death Fire was indeed sending out a lot more than before. Possibly five times as much as the last attacks.

"Are we ready to spring the trap?" Luna asked.

"Not yet…." Celestia said, looking to Chrysalis again. "You were once Camellia, one of the greatest sword fighters in history. Do you think you can demonstrate."

Chrysalis was shocked that she would asked such a thing as she looked out towards the approaching army.

"Celestia, despite my bravado from the Canterlot wedding, I'm not nearly as powerful as you or the others. I would have to have a vast amount of love to-
Cadence coughed loudly, grabbing Chrysalis' attention who in return smiled in excitement.

"That will do."

"Then quit talking and more loving." Cadance demanded.

"Do it quickly then."

Cadance focused all of her magic into her horn, causing it to glow bright pink within seconds.

"If you will." Cadance asked.

With a green flash, Chrysalis changed into Shining Armor and remained still. Cadance stepped forward and placed her horn onto Chrysalis', empowering her with so much love that it forced Chrysalis to drop the disguise almost instantly. When it was done, Chrysalis practically shined like a bright green star.

"One minute...that's all I need with this."

Chrysalis jumped down from the city wall and landed into the snow with a thud. She slowly stood onto her hind legs and extended her hooves out like an eagle. Green fire erupted from her hooves as large, black sword, looking exactly like her horn, formed before her. She closed her eyes and gripped the sword into her hooves before the sword split into two. She calmly brought the two swords down to her sides and reopened her glowing eyes, facing the army straight on.

"This is for the swarm!"

In only a blink of an eye, Chrysalis dashed forward in a flash of green light and appeared before Death Fire as if she tried to slash at the tyrant from a distance.

"You missed, changeling." Death Fire mocked.

"Did I?" Chrysalis asked as her swords started to drip blood.

Death Fire looked confused until everything behind Chrysalis suddenly dropped dead or exploded all at the same time. It would make an epic picture if Death Fire wasn't so pissed.

"I'll leave you to it...my king." Chrysalis mocked.

In complete rage, Death Fire shot out a large energy blast at Chrysalis, but she vanished just before it hit. As she appeared back onto the wall, she placed her swords down and gazed up at the others.

"Impressed?"

Everyone simply stared in surprise except for Sombra, who was looking away with a huge blush.

"I could have done better…"

Death Fire, for the third time, was left to witness another failure before his eyes, ignoring the fact that he was the one sending them out in the first place. Flash and the other commanders soon rejoined their "king", slightly nervous.

"My lord...are you alright?" Flash asked with concern.

"Send in….everyone." Death Fire whispered.

"Everyone?" Shining repeated.

"You heard me…" He whispered, grinding his teeth. "I SAID EVERYONE!" He suddenly snapped.

"But we are losing too many-

"Attention all troops, charge!" Flash ordered, cutting off Crystal shield.

"ARE YOU OUT OF YOU-
His voice was silenced as the full force of Death Fire's army stampeded past them and onto the field of battle. The sure number alone caused the ground to shake like a tremor, cracking the ice beneath them...something Celestia was about to use against them.

"Yuko...spring the trap."

Yuko took in a deep breath and gazed into the moon. Almost all at once, Yuko howled into the night, sending an eco across the battlefield that was both to be marveled and feared. Then, just when it ceased, the ice beneath the soldiers gave way, sending thousands crashing into the freezing cold water. Anything machine or metal was quickly lost as the ponies in the water struggled to reach solid ground. Those that were fortunate to stop before they fell into the water were greeted by two alicorns that suddenly appeared before them.

"let's show our friends here what they just got themselves into." Endershine said with a confident glance.

"Absolutely." Enderpearl replied.

As the two alicorns walked forward, thousands upon thousands of wolves appeared from the water with glowing yellow eyes, ready to hunt.

"MAKE THEM PAY FOR THEIR CRIMES, ATTACK!"

The two alicorns combined their magic and shot it forward, vaporizing all of the ponies weapons as they charged into the army head first. The ponies had absolutely no time to react before they were pounced upon and ripped to shreds. They also had no way of fighting the wolves back without weapons and those that still had them couldn't get a clear shot due to the massive amounts of ponies on the field. They were organized and in formation, but all it did was make them vulnerable to close range attacks.

"Don't let them get any distance on you! Stay as close to the enemy as possible, use their numbers against them!" Enderpearl ordered as dived right in to a large platoon of ponies.

As Death Fire witnessed the battle from a distance, his eyes became bloodshot and veins began to show through his fur.

"Those...miserable… & *#&!" Death Fire screamed as fire exploded from his hair.

"Having trouble, Deathy." Ntwi asked, enjoying his frustration.

"This has to be the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen." Desolent added.

"You...you forced me to do this!" Death Fire shouted, staring right at Desolent.

"I did? Please, tell me why I would ever bother with such a pathetic excuse for a pony. Even if I wanted to sabotage your army there would be no point, you are already doing a good job as it is."

"I'M GOING TO RIP THAT TONGUE RIGHT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!"

"That's it, let it all out! Let them all witness the 'great and powerful king at his best." Desolent mocked, getting right into his face. "Try it, TRY AND FACE ME WITHOUT YOUR PATHETIC ARMY AND WE'LL SEE WHO THE REAL STALLION IS!"

"Both of you shutup!" Ntwi ordered. "We came here to finish off Celestia, so that's what I'm going to do whether you help me or not."

Ntwi's horn glowed dark purple as she looked towards the city.

"I know you can here me, Celestia, so don't bother trying to ignore me." Ntwi said, sounding exactly like Death Fire. "You want to end this, here and now, then you will face me alone on the island to the west of my location. If you refuse I will blow up this entire country and you along with it! You have five minutes...five *(# minutes you royal piece of #* # before I kill every single soul on this entire island!" Ntwi yelled, pausing for dramatic effect. "I expect you to comply...or face your fate."

Ntwi's horn ceased glowing as she glared back to Death Fire.

"You are to tire out the princess until she can no longer fight. Once that happens, me and Desolent will move in. Me and you will bind her in place to allow Desolent to charge the spell, and Desolent?"

The green unicorn glared at Ntwi with an annoyed glance.

"Send her to the deepest hole in the underworld will you."

"I have sent many ponies there, even during my attack on Los Pegasus. It will be done as easy as a blink of an eye."

"Then I hope you're right." Ntwi said, looking towards Death Fire. "You have one shot at this...don't mess up."

Death Fire smirked as he stood onto his hooves, looking to his commanders.

"Here is my final order to you three, so listen closely."

"What is it, my king." Flash stated.

"Release...our new reformed prisoners."

Celestia heard the message clear as day as she looked out towards the battle. It made her nervous and afraid, but it also gave her a way to end what was started thousand of years ago.

"So that's how it's going to be…" Celesita whispered. "A duel between two leader to decide the fate of the other…"

The white alicorn looked towards the others with a saddened look, knowing what she had to do.

"I have to face him alone."

Luna and the others returned her gaze with confusion.

"What are you talking about?" Sombra asked.

"Death Fire has challenged me to a duel of fates. I have to except or he will destroy this entire nation." Celesita said grimly. "There isn't another way."

"No...no, Celesita. This is the exact same challenge Herus gave to our father! If you go out there he will kill you!" Luna said with fear. "We have to face him together, all of us!"

"That's not an option, Luna. I am the only one that can stop him now." Celestia said, flaring out her wings. "You are in command now, sister. Defend the city and her people till the last breath. My time has come to finally face my worst fear."

"Celestia! You don't have the strength to do it! Every time you faced Night Shadow before you couldn't do it, something always held you back! Sister...I forbid you to face him alone!" Luna yelled.

Celestia ran over to hug Luna patiently, shedding tears.

"If my dream is true...then these are my final moments with all of you. I made a promise to protect you...so that's what I'm going to do…goodbye..."

"Well you know what, Celestia! I made the same promise to!"

Without a second thought, Luna jabbed Celestia in the neck and forcing her to fall to the floor.

"Luna...what have you…"

As Celestia went unconscious, Luna reached down and placed her horn onto Celestia's head. Yellow magic flowed into Luna's horn, making her glow brightly with Celestia's aura. Moments later, Luna looked up towards the others with such determination that it sent chills down their spins.

"Lend me at least fifty percent of your power and I will ensure that this war will end today." Luna said as her eyes started to glow. "That means you to, Discord."

The group looked back and forth between each other before they all nodded in agreement. As they approached and put their hooves or claw onto Luna, the princess of the night shut her eyes and absorbed their power into her soul. The ritual lasted for at least four minutes before the other backed away from Luna.

"Thank you for everything, my friends. I won't let you down."

With that said, Luna's wings shot out from her body like springs as her aura glowed brightly, lighting up everything around her.

"Forgive me, Celestia...you gave me no choice."

Luna skyrocketed into the air and vanished like a lightning bolt, leaving the others to defend the city by themselves.

"It's up to us now." Nightmare stated, facing the others. "Let's give it everything we got!"

As Death Fire waited on the island, awaiting for Celestia. Luna dropped down abruptly before him, glaring into him with disgust.

"I was expecting Celestia to show up rather than you. What do you want?" Death Fire asked.

"I'm here to face you and put an end to you forever." Luna stated coldly.

"So Celestia is to much of a coward to face me herself then? Fine...no matter...killing you will be the next best thing to break her will and soul."

"So that's what you want...the satisfaction of shattering my sister's heart. You won't live to see the day."

"You know something? I'm not even mad that you showed up. In fact, I think this has gotten ten times more interesting." Death Fire said with a wicked smile as he removed his royal robes. "You were a fool to come here, you know what I'm capable of."

"And you are a fool to think you can challenge us." Luna stated.

"The last time I checked...Dark Fire was able to easily defeat you, so what gives you the false idea that you can even scratch me."

"I have gotten stronger since then. A new resolve if you may. I think you will like it." Luna said, taking a fighting stance.

"Fine...I'll humor you and prove my point yet again, and this time, you won't survive to live another day."

"Then put your words into action."

Death Fire's eyes began to shine bright red the whites of his eyes changed to pure black. The tips of his wings flashed red along with his hair until they glowed like fire. The tyrant started to laugh evilly as red and black energy started to surround his body before suddenly erupting like a huge windstorm. He stood up onto his hind legs and screamed out with such intensity that the snow around him slowly started to levitate and vaporise as the ground gave way beneath him.

At last, with one final shout, his energy exploded from his body in a wave of pure power that could be seen from space if anyone was looking down onto the planet. The dark king looked dead at Luna as lightning sparked form his body, softly chuckling.

"Now do you understand? You can't win." Death Fire stated.

"Try me." Luna said unfazed.

Death Fire dashed forward and threw the first punch in a burst of fire. Luna blocked the attack with her hoof just before Death Fire spun around and kicked her right on her side, sending her sliding along the ice. Luna shook it off just when Death Fire teleported behind her and slide beneath her, grabbing her hind leg and heaving her into the air. Luna had no time to react before she was slammed into the ice onto her back. Death Fire jumped and forced his hind leg into Luna's stomach, enjoying the sudden cry of pain from her as he pointed his hoof down at her.

Luna recovered much more quickly the second time around and slapped away the tyrants hoof just as he fired a flaming ball of energy. Having the advantage, Luna jabbed the leg that was forced into her stomach and vanished above him, slamming him into the spot she was once at. Unfortunately for her, Death Fire teleported just before she landed her next blow, accidentally forcing her hoof through the ice. She quickly removed her hoof and looked right up at Death Fire who was about to fire another fire ball. Luna dashed forward right as he fired and slapped it to the side, tackling Death Fire to the ground.

She realed back her hoof and punched Death Fire's face through the ice, forcing the ground to shatter beneath the two. When she realed back again, Death Fire launched her off with a spell from his horn and flipped back to his hooves. Luna landed roughly onto the ground, struggling to get a good grip on the ice until Death Fire appeared behind her and grabbed her tail. Death Fire yanked her tail as hard as he could and without a second though, slammed his hoof right between Luna's legs.

Luna, both in pain and anger, wrapped her tail around Death Fire's hoof and threw him forward with a spin. Once the tyrant was a good distance in front of her, Luna conjured her magic to her horn and unleashed a huge wave of magic that blasted him away from sight.

'I can't use all this power at once, otherwise he will notice and probably try to counter or run. I need to act like this is all I'm capable of to give him a false security.' Luna thought.

Death Fire soon reappeared, slightly wounded but clearly enough to make a difference as he simply healed himself with magic.

"That isn't your normal power, Luna. A blast like that would have never been able to hurt me before and you recover far too quickly from my attacks. What are you hiding from me?" Death Fire demanded.

"Come here and find out!" Luna shouted as she shot forward like a cannon ball.

Death Fire ducked and dodged her first punch, however, to his surprise, Luna predicted his next move and vanished right as Death Fire thought of his next attack. This surprised him so much that he was completely oblivious to the fact the Luna had appeared behind him. Luna spared no time as she unleashed her wrath of punches and kicks into Death Fire's back, delivering powerful blows that had the potential to shatter mountains. Just when Death Fire was about to turn around and counter, Luna had vanished before him and punched him right in the jaw, shattering it on contact.

Death Fire fell onto his back as Luna stood over him, overloading her horn with magic.

"Stay…down!" Luna commanded as she extended her hoof forward.

Death Fire looked up to see Luna's hoof glow brightly with blue magic, sending a chill down his back. Once Luna had enough power built up, she fired, sending out a massive wave of magic that exploded violently once it hit it's target. Once the smoke cleared, there was nothing left but a large skid mark in the dirt that looked like a dragon tried to perform a crash landing. Knowing better, Luna took flight into the air and rejoined her opponent floating above her. Death Fire snapped his jaw back into place and glared at Luna angrily.

"How are you doing that! You keep predicting my moves before I even think about them. And that blast...only I have that kind of power! Who are you!"

"You know exactly who I am! And I will be the one to finally finish you!" Luna proclaimed.

"I'm done playing around! I'M GOING TO COVER THIS ENTIRE ISLAND IN YOUR BLOOD!"

The moment Death Fire tried to charge up more power, Luna dashed in and slammed her hoof right through Death Fire's body, forcing him to cough out blood. Death Fire's eyes widened in pain and fear, desperately wondering how she was so powerful.

"Do you feel that?" Luna asked darkly. "That's what pain is...something you have caused to millions of ponies, zebras, and gryphons alike. And it's what you are going to feel for the rest of eternity when I send you straight to hell!"

"YOU…STUPID…&# &#! !" Death Fire cried out.

"You are nothing but a heartless monster! A curse that has yet to be broken! And after all these years...I WILL FINALLY RID YOU OF THIS PLANET!"

Luna ripped her hoof out from Death Fire and grabbed him by his hair. As Death Fire screamed out in pain, she used all of her strength to throw Death Fire back down to the surface. As the dark king slammed into the ground, Luna summoned everything she had into a huge magic ball above her horn.

"THIS IS FOR ALL THE PAIN YOU CAUSED TO MY PEOPLE! NOW FEEL THEIR WRATH WITH YOUR DYING BREATH!"

She threw down the ball with a cry and once it hit, a mile big explosion erupted from within the ball, wiping out everything within its reach. Luna looked down with joy and tears as she saw that the only thing left was a massive crater filling up quickly with water from the ocean. She soon descended at the edge of a now man made lake and sighed deeply.

"It's over...after all these years." Luna whispered.

At that same moment, she heard Death Fire laugh maniacally right behind her as if he had never even been harmed. Luna closed her eyes tightly, not wanting to believe what she was hearing.

"Did you like my acting Luna? Very believable to say the least." He said with a smirk. "You were so happy for a second, it's almost too enjoyable to know that I crushed your hopes with one simple preformance."

Luna reopened her eyes and spun around in rage, about to fire until she say Desolent and Ntwi standing right next to Death Fire.

"It's been fun, really, it has. But surely you know nothing can ever harm me, not from you at least. Your last performance has proven that you are indeed far more powerful than Celestia by a long shot. So...here is your reward!" Death Fire screamed.

The dark tyrant and Nightmare Twilight quickly froze Luna in place with magic, preventing her from even moving an inch. Desolent then stepped forward as his horn glowed pure black, ready to perform his wicked deed.

"You have everything you had in that blast, didn't you?" Desolent asked in a dark tone. "Which means there is no possible way for you to break out of this or call for help. This is almost too good to witness."

The second Luna tried to scream out, she was gagged by green magic thanks to Desolent.

"Shhhh...it will all be over soon my sweet, sweet princess. Just go to sleep...you will soon be part of something much greater than yourself."

Desolent leaned in and kissed Luna on the lips as he brushed her hair to the side.

"I would have loved to defile your body...but even you are unworthy to bear the child I have in mind."

Luna tried to lash out at Desolent, but the magic holding her in place was just too powerful.

"Goodbye, Luna...I'll be sure to send Celestia to you when this is all over." Desolent said he pointed his horn right at her.

Under all that was happening, Luna heard a small voice in the back of her head. A voice she hadn't heard in years speaking to her at the last possible moment.

"Do it..." Blaze Cast whispered in her mind.

With a sudden explosion of power, Luna's eyes shined bright gold as the power she borrowed flowed through her veins and body. With a loud shout, she launched the three aggressors thousands of feet away from her as she grew twice her size. Her aura shined with the same magical colors as the ones that shared their power with her, striking fear into all that witnessed it with their eyes.

"It's time to finish this."

"TAKE THIS!" Enderpearl yelled, slamming his hood into the ground.

A burst of magic flew out from his body, sending a large group of ponies flying into the sky. Traveling in a zigzag pattern, he dashed into several groups and destroyed them from within. Some groups ranged from only ten to a thousand, but it mattered little how many he took down, many more would take their place. Endershine appeared next to her brother, deflecting several laser bolts with her hoof as she got back to back with her older brother.

"How many is a million again, I think I lost track!" Endershine said, firing magical blasts from her horn.

"To many, that's all I know!" He replied under the heat of battle.

As they continued to fight, Enderpearl looked up to see artillery shells falling from the sky, crashing down around them and taking the lives of both wolves and ponies alike.

"We need to take out those artillery placements before they do more harm to our guys!"

"Right behind you!" Endershine said.

With a blast of magic from both of the siblings, they both dashed past the large blockade of pony soldiers. Their entire vision became filled with lasers, almost overwhelming them to the point of blindness if they hadn't reach the targets in time. Behind enemy lines, the number of soldiers dramatically reduced, but it was still enough to be a problem.

"See if you can make them shoot at their own guys!" Endershine said, blocking more laser fire.

"Good idea, you go left I will go right!"

"Right!"

"No I said left!"

"Right!"

"Aww, forget it!"

The two alicorns both threw a magical ball into the first cannon, blowing it up to bits before they dashed off into different directions.

"Ok girl, you can do." Endershine said to herself as she stopped at the second artillery gun.

Almost at once, several hundred ponies fired upon her without even a second thought. Endershine quickly jumped onto the massive artillery cannon and ran down the barrel until she reached what she thought were the ponies commanding the large gun.

"How many ponies does it take to use this thing?!" She asked in astonishment when she saw at least a hundred ponies working on the gun.

With a quick spell, she disposed of the ponies and looked at the control console.

"What are all these buttons for?!" She shouted as more ponies closed in on her. "WILL YOU GUYS JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Meanwhile, Enderpearl was having the same problems.

"Which button does what! They are all glowing at once!"

"HEY!" One of the soldier shouted behind him.

Enderpearl quickly grabbed the pony with magic and slammed him into the control console. At that same moment, the artillery gun suddenly dropped and fired into a large battalion of ponies.

"That works." He said, punching the pony unconscious.

He then jumped onto the cannon and ran all the way to the tip of the cannon before firing a large ball of magic down the barrel. Quickly dashing away, he heard the artillery gun hum loudly before detonating just like he planned. Looking far off into the distance, he could see that his sister was doing the same. They continued this tactic for several hours, exhausting over half of the militaries support.

The two siblings eventually meet in the middle, almost exhausted.

"If we keep this up we are certain to win." Endershine said with happiness.

"They just keep coming though, when will it end?" Enderpearl asked.

"It ends right now."

Enderpearl leaped out of the way of a purple magical blast and rolled next to his sister.

"What was that?!" Endershine asked in panic.

From what seemed like out of nowhere, a cloaked figure stood before the two alicorns, waiting.

"Who are you?" Enderpearl asked.

"You mean you don't recognize my voice?" The figure asked, removing the dark hood from it's head and letting it's red and green hair fall around her neck. "After all...you were the one that left us when we needed you the most."

"Maneful?!" They both shouted in shock.

The mare chuckled softly to herself as she looked to the two.

"You could say that." She said softly as her eyes shined bright red.

She quickly removed her cloak and shot several magical orbs at the alicorns. Both of the siblings jumped out of the way, avoiding the attack but were hesitant to attack.

"Maneful, snap out of it, you're one of us now!" Endershine tried to plead.

"The mare I once was is no more! Now die like the cowards you are!"

Maneful's wings glowed bright purple before her hooves did the same. This time they were ready for it and braced themselves. However, just before they could react, Stritin had grabbed Enderpearl and Eccentric grabbed Endershine, both holding them in place.

"Good, keep them from moving. I'm about to splatter their guts all over the floor."

Right when she fired, Enderpearl threw Stritin right at Eccentric, breaking his hold on Endershine. The two alicorns quickly teleported behind Maneful and were about to strike until Ammisive dashed in and kicked both other the siblings across the face, knocking them back into a pile of supply crates. Just when they got up, they were suddenly frozen in place and couldn't move. Castigate was the last to join the group and it was at that point that the two alicorns realised what had happened.

All five of the ponies had the same glowing red eyes and their coats had started to lose it's color along with their hair. They were devoid of the fighting spirit they once possess and were turned into exactly what Death Fire wanted. Obedient servants that would do what he so desired without question.

"You don't have to listen to him...he's only using you! Without you he's nothing!" Endershine said with rising emotion. "There's still a chance to be saved! There's still a chance to fight back!"

"It is foolish to deny his power." Eccentric said.

"His power is what makes us free." Castigate declared.

"Those that refuse our freedom, disobey." Ammisive stated.

"Those that disobey are to be punished." Stritin added.

"And those that are punished must never see the light of day!" Maneful finished.

"Then you will fall with him!" Enderpearl shouted, breaking out of the spell.

"Enderpearl! No!" Endershine shouted.

The older alicorn charged right at Maneful, dodging the other four and punched her right in the face. Maneful took the blow head on, barely even flinching.

"I'm a lot stronger then I look, alicorn!" Maneful yelled.

She spun around and bucked Enderpearl in the chest, knocking him back in the middle of the other four. Without a moment to spare, all five of the corrupted ponies charged at him and attacked all at once. From what Endershine could tell from her position, it was just a massive brawl of one against five. She struggled to break free from the paralyzing spell as they continued to fight, but each time she tried, the stronger the spell became. It was then that she saw that Castigate still had his horn glowing, meaning he was the one holding her in place.

"Hit Castigate on the horn! It will break the spell!" She shouted.

Enderpearl was abruptly kicked into the side of a disabled artillery battery, leaving a large dent in it's side.

"I'm a bit in a situation here!" He replied.

"What's it going to take to shut you up!" Maneful yelled, summoning two spheres into her hooves.

The moment she threw them, Enderpearl flipped up into the air and vanished before the spheres caused the artillery battery to exploded. Fire and metal shards flew everywhere around Maneful and the others, casting their shadows onto the ground as the fire grew more violently.

"Where did he go?!" Castigate asked.

Enderpearl appeared right behind the illusionist and swung at his horn, only for him to fade away abruptly.

"What the!" Enderpearl shouted in confusion.

Ammisive quickly dashed into the alicorn and kicked him across the face, throwing him into yet another pile of crates.

"Ok then...let's play dirty." The alicorn whispered.

He jumped out of the destroyed crates and casted a spell that caused everything in front of him to shine brighter than the sun. All five of the ponies quickly shielded their eyes but the spell already took effect. They were blinded for the moment and that's all he needed. He shot a blast of magic at Castigate, hitting him directly, but it was another illusion. Seconds later, another Castigate came into view and was blasted only to yield the same results. It wasn't long until there were at least twenty of the silver ponies staring right at him.

"Which one is the real me, Enderpearl?" The clones mocked all at once.

They all fired at once at the alicorn, catching him off guard. Enderpearl quickly created a shield to block the attack as he looked around frantically.

"Where the heck could he be?!" He yelled.

Under all of the noise he heard a faint sound from behind him and quickly turned around and punched the air. The real Castigate was punched to the ground from the hit, dropping both his invisibility spell and dagger in his hoof.

"Why you…" Castigate whispered, dropping the spell on Endershine.

Enderpearl looked up to his sister and ran to her.

"We can't fight them alone, we need to-

Several darts hit Enderpearl right in the neck, knocking him unconscious within seconds. Endershine's eyes widened when she looked up at Eccentric, struggling to see his target.

"Hold still!" He ordered, powering up his infamous wrist cannon.

Endershine quickly used her magic to throw all the crates behind her all at once right when Eccentric fired. Little did both of them know was that the crates were loaded to the brim with gunpowder and once they touched Eccentric's blast, it set off a massive chain reaction that blew away the five ponies back a good dozen feet. It wasn't long afterwards that the five ponies recovered their eye sight and looked around, desperately trying to find the alicorns.

"Did we kill them?" Stitin asked.

"Doubtful...but our mission isn't to kill them." Maneful said, turning to the city. "We have to break through the enemy lines and reach the cities gate, but before we can do that we have to create another ice bridge."

"Then get moving." Ammisive ordered.

Once the five ponies dashed off into the battle, Endershine reappeared, holding Enderpearl in her hooves.

"This can't be good...I have to warn the others."

Endershine teleported back into the city wall, placing Enderpearl onto the ground before Nightmare and the others.

"What happened?!" Nightmare asked, kneeling down to inspect Enderpearl.

"The elements of disharmony are closing in on us!" Endershine informed.

"I thought they were on our side, what changed their minds?" Chrysalis asked.

"Death Fire and his corruption did, we don't have much time. They are much more powerful than before and….why is Celestia unconscious?! Endershine asked frantically.

"There isn't time to explain. Get your brother into the bunker and then come right back." Nightmare ordered.

"On it."

Endershine teleported deeper into the city, noticing it looked almost abandoned from the inside. She eventually reached the underground bunker and teleported inside, almost instantly being tackled by Rainbow Dash in anger.

"You guys locked us in here! Why!"

"What the hay is going on out there anyways?" Applejack asked with concern.

"It sounds like fireworks out there, so why can't I join in?!" Pinkie asked.

"First of all those aren't fireworks!" Endershine yelled. "Second, we locked you in here so you wouldn't be harmed and so you could be safe. You see my brother, that's what could happen if you even try to walk out there!" She said in frustration. "I had to stand there and watch it happen because I was paralyzed by a stupid spell! So why can't you ponies realise that this is for your own good!"

Endershine practically had steam emitting off of her body as she continued to vent out her anger. The others were so frightened from her sudden outburst that they were scared to even make a peep.

"Celestia was right...we should have gotten you girls out when we had the chance…"

Applejack waited a good minute before she spoke up.

"That still doesn't answer my question, ma'am...what is going on out there?"

Endershine vanished suddenly, leaving the group in the dark and worried for what was to come.

Luna reappeared on a large chunk of floating ice just before Ntwi and Desolent landed nearby and fired upon her with magic. Luna easily deflected the blasts and fired back ten fold, forcing the two ponies to vanish. Luna then spun around and kicked Death Fire in the horn just when he reappeared, launching him into the cold water with a huge crash. Desolent appeared again, this time on the same block of ice as Luna, and locked her into a shot exchange. As they both threw punches and kicks at each other, Ntwi appeared next to Death Fire and focused their power in one big magical attack. Once Luna punched Desolent's chest and knocked him to the side, the Death Fire launched the attack. Luna looked towards the blast and leaped away before it hit and landed on the water, using her magic to remain a float. Desolent and Death Fire both dashed towards her and engaged combat while Ntwi focused her magic.

For almost two hours, the ponies went at it with with no clear sign of who would come out on top. Luna had the advantage ever since the battle began, having almost five times as much power as she would have normally. She could easily overpower one in combat if she got the chance, but they would constantly attack in pairs or all at once, never letting her catch her breath. It was almost as if they never ran out of energy or stamina. In the back of her mind, Luna knew she was running out of power and would soon not be able to keep up with the three aggressors.

If she was going to destroy one of them here and now it was going to be Death Fire, but she was running out of time and power.

"You can't keep this up forever!" Death Fire declared, missing her neck by only an inch.

"You might be right, but if I die here I'm taking one of you with me!" Luna shouted, dashing back away from the two fighters.

The moment Desolent charged to keep up, he was closed lined into the water with a huge crash as Luna rocketed right at Death Fire.

"Come on, I'm right here!" Death Fire taunted.

Right when they made contact with their hooves, they vanished into thin air. Desolent soon followed along with Ntwi, who was done charging her magic and ready to finish the job. The fight took to the skies as all four ponies would both appear and disappear in the night. Everytime they clashed, the force alone would create sonic booms and shake the ground violently. It sounded like a violent lightning storm from a distance except there was no lightning. Then there was a sudden pause, a break in the fight for an unknown reason.

Minutes passed until Death Fire appeared onto solid ground, panting and sweating buckets as he almost collapsed onto the ground.

"How is she getting the upperhand...I thought I was invincible!"

"You thought wrong!" Luna shouted.

Right as Death Fire looked up, he was slammed into the ice by Luna's drop kick. Luna grabbed the black pony and gripped him by the neck, choking him as she prepared to deliver her final blow. Desolent and Ntwi quickly appeared before her, pointing their hooves at Luna. However, they paused and stared at the two, as if in thought.

"What are you waiting for, attack her!" Death Fire ordered.

Desolent was the first to lower his hoof along with Ntwi.

"This battle has not only proved you can be defeated, but that you are nothing without your followers." Desolent proclaimed.

"Face it, Death Fire. You tried to kill us constantly when we were still under the treaty we created. It was only a matter of time before we decided to play our hand...sadly for you, we came out on top." Ntwi added.

Death Fire's eyes dilated, realising he had just been betrayed.

"Desolent...Ntwi...please...I need you right now!" Death Fire panicked as Luna powered everything she had into her next attack.

"Begging won't save you, Death Fire!" Ntwi yelled. "How many begged for their lives at your hooves before you killed them. How many families did you destroy before you decided to enslave them?! Far to many...far to many to forget now! If we were in the position you were in you would have done the same! You are heartless to your followers, a nuisance to what this world represented. Goodbye, fool...I have no need for you anymore!" Ntwi shouted, teleporting away without a trace.

The more Luna charged up, the more Death Fire panicked.

"Desolent, you can't seriously be working for that mare! Surely you have-

"I've heard enough from your foul mouth! Every word you spout out is just another lie stacked upon itself! I might despise Celestia and Twilight and wish to enact my revenge on them, but at least they were capable of leading their people without slavery and corruption! You gained power through deception and treasury while I earned mine with my own hooves!" Desolent said, turning his back to them. "I never needed you...and I will never help you again!"

Desolent vanished, leaving Death Fire alone with Luna.

"You won't kill me would you…" He asked with a weak grin. "You would go against everything you stand for."

"There's a difference between me and my sister." Luna said, placing her hoof where Death Fire's heart would be. "Unlike her...I'm not afraid to take your life!"

"You don't have the strength! You're to weak to finish the job!"

"Not this time, Death Fire! This time it's your turn! THIS TIME THERE WILL BE NO-

Luna's power abruptly faded once Death Fire reached out and grabbed her horn. Within a split second, all of Luna's magic was drained into Death Fire's, leaving her defenceless as she was kicked across the neck and into the ground.

"So this is what you were hiding from me…" Death Fire said in amazement as he looked at his hooves. "You took all of your friends magic in hopes that you could stop me! This power…it's unlike anything I have ever felt before...and it's now mine...IT'S ALL MINE!"

Death Fire laughing maniacally as he unleashed all his stolen power, causing a whirlwind of colors to surround his body.

"No….what have I done…" Luna whispered faintly.

Death Fire looked towards Luna and smiled as he relished in his new power.

"You should've seen the look on your face. Idiot, falling for the same trick of helplessness a second time. You good guys are so predictable! You have to get the last word in or say something heroic before you kill the bad guy. Now look at what happened! Because of you, I'm now the strongest pony in history!"

Death Fire's magic ceased to flow around him as he called it back into his horn, absorbing it into his body as he gave Luna a wicked grin.

"To think, with all that power, you could've actually killed me. Hahahahaha…well…I'm done with you...and I think the audience is getting a little tired of me tricking them."

Death Fire picked up Luna by her hair and placed his other hoof into her face, charging up an energy blast.

"In fact, I think they want me to kill you...yeah...I think they want you to die painfully as you slowly realise this was all your fault."

Luna slowly started to shed tears as Death Fire's hoof began to glow brighter.

"Awwww...are you really crying." Death Fire mocked. "Go ahead, cry for your parents, beg them to save your life! They're already dead! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Death Fire was blasted to the side by yellow magic, burning through his skin like acid. When he got back to his hooves he saw that Celestia had picked up her sister and quickly teleported away, leaving him the only pony left on the island.

"Surely even you know this by now, Celestia. You have nowhere left to hide."

Celestia reappeared with Luna on the city wall, witnessing the opposing army slowly finish off the offensive forces and approach the river. Once the last wolf was disposed of and pushed into the river, the army waited, not even bothering to shoot from the other side. Celestia tried desperately to calm her sister down as she continued to cry before Yuko approached them.

"That was over half of our pack, Celestia. All that remain are us and the defensive force of ten thousand." Yuko informed. "Yet with so many lives lost, we didn't even put a dent into their numbers."

"Stay confident, Yuko. As long as they can't cross the river they won't be able to reach us."

"I wouldn't be to sure on that." Chrysalis said, pointing out towards the water.

Celestia looked towards the location she was pointing and noticed the elements of disharmony standing before the river.

"They couldn't possibly…" Celestia whispered.

"They will…" Nightmare observed.

Maneful, Ammisive, and Castigate all reached their hooves out towards the water, causing the river to glow bright blue. Seconds later, hundreds of unicorns joined in on the spell, assisting the diselements. Celestia's worries were realised when she witnessed the river slowly freeze over with their magic, allowing them to cross.

"Well I'm not about to just sit here and watch them!" Sombra blurted out, pointing his horn towards the army.

"WAIT, IT'S A-

Sombra fired before Celestia was able to finish. Right before the spell crashed into the unicorns, the blast was absorbed, doubling their productivity.

"They were using an absorption spell to protect them." Celestia informed.

"That can't be right! Normal unicorns don't have the power to deflect an attack like that." Sombra stated with shock.

"You gave what seems like most of your magical power to Luna. At this point, you are only doing more harm then good."

"She only asked for half of our power! How could we be so exhausted?"

"She must have taken more than half because I too am missing most of my power as well. And that's not all…apparently Death Fire stole it from her right when she least expected it."

"You can't be serious!" Nightmare said.

"I am….I wish I could tell you otherwise….Death Fire has absorbed most of our power...and he's seeking to take it all for himself now. Cadance, I need you to take Luna to safety and await for me to arrive."

"On it." Cadance replied, taking Luna into her hooves and teleporting.

Endershine then appeared before Celestia with a saddened look.

"Is it too late now, Celestia? Is it too late to escape?" Endershine asked.

"Prepare to defend the city. This is our final stand against the enemy." Celestia ordered, looking to Sombra. "You are in charge now...stall them for as long as you can."

"Celestia, where are you going?" Sombra asked as the alicorn turned away from them.

Celestia paused in her tracks, not even bothering to turn back to them.

"Something I should have done long ago…"

Without a proper warning she vanished, leaving them to fend for themselves.

"Did...did she abandon us!" Chrysalis yelled in shock.

"Great, just when we needed her the most she runs away! Why did we even put her in char-

"Discord, enough!" Sombra yelled. "There has to be a reason why."

"She's trying to change the future…." Nightmare whispered, remembering Celestia's dream.

"Change what?!" Sombra asked.

"We have to buy her the time she needs! Quick, we need to-

The cities gates were suddenly blown open as thousands of troops flooded in and opened fire. Sombra quickly looked back to the remaining pack of wolves and pointed towards the gates.

"FIGHT TILL THE LAST BREATH! CHARGE!"

Both wolves and ponies alike charged head on and clashed in the middle, resulting in a bloody massacre. Endershine jumped back, avoiding several rockets before blasting away more groups of ponies. Despite what she or anyone else did, more and more ponies came, slowly decreasing their hopes of winning. Within only ten minutes they had been forced into a defensive circle with what seemed like no way out.

"So this is how it's going to end..." Endershine said, blasting back more ponies with her magic.

"Not for you." Nightmare said, grabbing her with her magic.

"Nightmare! What are you-

With a flash, Endershine had vanished, leaving the four reformed villains the last ones standing out of the group. They fought to the best of their ability to buy time...heck, even Discord was fighting off ponies...except he was using a giant flyswatter instead of a sword. Sadly, even with their combined power and teamwork, it still wasn't enough. Just before the four thought they were going to meet their end, the ponies eyes flashed. They all ceased fire on the four and were now running past them, as if avoiding them completely.

"Amazing is it not...one simple spell and the entire group obeys." Death Fire said, descending down from the sky and landing in front of them.

The rest of the army soon vanished into the city as gunfire could still be heard from the distance. They were alone until the elements of disharmony appeared from out of the shadows, taking their positions beside their "king."

"I'm surprised really...to think Equestria's greatest enemies would one day sacrifice it all for an empty promise. Let me guess...Celestia left you right when it mattered." Death Fire said, looking around for her. "You honestly shouldn't be surprised, she always did love to play the game hide and seek."

"I'VE HEARD ENOUGH!" Sombra screamed, firing everything he had at Death Fire.

The tyrant casually deflected the blast, smirking as he did.

"Maneful….silence your father."

"About time." Maneful said coldly as she vanished.

Sombra was roughly punched to the floor before Maneful slowly walked back to Death Fire, taking her place again by his side.

"Your daughter makes a great pet, Sombra. It's a shame I had to break her as I did. She had so much fight in her...believed you would come back to save her. Imagine her shock when she cried out for you and never came. Do you know how much she begged me to stop, Sombra...hahaha!"

"I'LL KILL YOU FOR HURTING MY DAUGHTER!"

Sombra dashed at Death Fire and tried to punch him right across the jaw, but he was just too fast. Death Fire simply ducked under the attack and jabbed his hoof into his stomach, instantly stealing his powers and encasing him in a prison of ice. The remaining three stared in shock as Sombra fell to the ground as an ice statue, never meant to be free again. Death Fire pointed his hoof towards the others, summoning bright blue fire that lit their faces with fear.

"Hehehehehehehe...hahahahah….HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Explosions could be heard deep within the safety of the bunker as the elements of harmony huddled together with Cadence and Blueblood. Luna, still exhausted, nuzzled Enderpearl as he still remained motionless while Endershine retrieved water.

"Everything is going to be ok...you know that right." Lightning Dust said, comforting Fluttershy.

Fluttershy slowly nodded as she shook with terror, hearing more bombs being dropped onto the city.

Celestia was next to appear in the room, carrying what looked like a bag in her mouth. She placed the bag softly into the ground and looked towards the elements of harmony.

"Celestia, I have waited long enough. I have to rejoin the battle." Cadance demanded.

"That…isn't an option anymore..." Celestia said with sadness. "It's over…"

Everyone's mouth dropped in shock, not wanting to believe what they heard.

"No…no...It can't be over!" Rainbow shouted. "IT CAN'T END HERE!"

Fluttershy closed her eyes tightly as she began to cry.

"We never even had a chance to defend ourselves, there's no way it's over!" Applejack stated as her eyes watered.

"It is as I have said…we did everything we could."

Pinkie burst in tears as her hair straightened.

"I don't want to die….I don't want to die…." She continued to repeat.

Rarity glared into the dirt, to shocked to even speak.

"It's my fault that you are here…so you do not deserve the same fate…forgive me…"

With a flash of light, everyone in the room went into a deep sleep except for Lightning Dust, who was still shaken up with trauma.

"Lightning…you have been a good servant to us for all this time. I ask of one last thing before I go."

Lightning looked up in tears as Celestia shrank Rainbow and the others before placing them gently in the bag she had brought.

"You must go and hide the wielders of the elements of harmony. The spell will hold on them until you take them out of this bag. Once you do…all their memories of who they once where will vanish until they are reunited with their elements." Celestia said, taking out the elements of harmony and placing them onto the ground. "The enemy will not search for you or wonder where you have gone, so get as far away from here as possible and don't come back. They are the last chance we have…and one day I know someone will rise up to defeat him."

Celestia slowly started to lose it as she began to softly cry.

"You have to save them…for us…and for Equestia…save the last hope of this world. Please…take good care of them."

"I….I will, Celestia." Lightning said, grabbing the bag slowly.

Celestia smiled lightly as more tears came down her cheek.

"One day…one day peace will return to this world….with or without me….now go…."

With one last flash of her horn, Lightning was gone and so were the wielders of the elements. Using what was left of her magic, she created clones of the wielders onto their appropriate element and erased her very own memory of the interaction, ensuring that there would be no possible way for the enemy to find out.

Soon enough, their location was compromised and they were dragged out from hiding in chains. As they were dragged along the dirt, Celestia witnessed thousands upon thousands of wolves lying dead across the city, bringing her to tears again. Hours passed until Celestia and her friends were dragged out to the same ship she witnessed in her dreams, forcing her to relive her nightmare.

"You thought you could escape. You thought you could win and reclaim your land, but you were mistaken." Death Fire said with an emotionless look.

Celestia looked around to see that Luna, Cadence, and everyone in her group were captured and lined up just like it was in her dream. However, as strange as it seemed, Celestia felt calm and at peace as if she knew what she had done hours before.

"You resisted despite each loss you suffered. Pushed forward as if the false gods would bless you with power. Yet here you stand and it is here you will meet your end."

The group was pushed forward as several soldiers marched out of the ship with loaded weapons, aiming them right at their heads.

"And so...this is how it ends."

Death Fire raised his hoof into the air as Celestia heard the crying of her friends. She looked around her to see the the elements of harmony grouped together and hugging each other as they shed tears, knowing this was their final moments. Cadence slowly cried as she looked down into the ground while Blueblood hugged her tightly. Celestia slowly looked to her sister, who in return, looked back at her with a hopeless expression.

"It's over….we've lost…"

"No…it's not over…"

"READY!" Death Fire yelled as the guards aimed down the sights of their rifles.

"One day soon…we will all be avenged." Celestia whispered with happiness and tears.

"AIM!"

"And when that day comes…we will all sing with joy.

"FIRE!"

"AND WE WILL BE SET FREE!"

Loud gunfire was heard, echoing across the battlefield like a faint whisper in the night. And then…there was silence…

(NO THE FIC DOESN'T END HERE. DON'T YOU DARE SEND ME HATE MAIL!)
