Hey, guys! How's everyone doing? I'm surprisingly great!
Disclaimer: I do not own Austin and Ally, or anything else you may recognize in this story.
Enjoy! :)
Ally's P.O.V.
Tonight is my last show on tour. These last two months have been... eventful, to say the least.
After getting back together with Austin, I told my dad (whom, if you remember, started hating Austin again after we broke up). Let's say he wasn't very happy with the news. Fortunately, we had Danny, Maddi, and Jake to help us change his mind.
Flashback
I walked into my house, getting back from Austin's.
"Hello? Anyone home?" I called.
"Ally?!" Maddi exclaimed. I turned to where the voice came from, only to be squished into a huge bear hug from my little sister.
"Maddi! Hi!" I greeted her, hugging her back. "Is anyone else home?" I asked her as we pulled back from each other.
"Yeah, Jake and Dad are in the livingroom." She told me. I nodded, left my suitcase by the front door and followed her through the house I had grown to miss during the past month.
"Hey, guys." I said, walking in the livingroom.
Jake and my dad both looked up from the TV, their eyes growing wide as they saw me standing there. "Ally?!" They both chorused.
"Hey."
"Weren't you supposed to come home tomorrow?" My dad asked me.
I shrugged. "I decided to come a day early."
"Why?" Jake asked.
I sighed and sat down next to them as Maddi took a seat next to me. "I went to see Austin."
My dad visibly tensed. "Why?"
"We just got back together." I say slowly.
"What?!" He basically shouted.
"Dad, us breaking up was a huge mistake. Austin loves me and I love him."
"If you love each other so much, why did you break up, then?"
"Because we were scared." I said simply. He didn't relax. I rolled my eyes. "Come on, we all know Austin's a great guy."
"She's right, dad." Maddi agreed.
Jake nodded. "I don't see what you hate so much about him."
My dad glared at him. "You'll see when you'll have a daughter." Jake stayed unfased. My dad groaned. "Let me call Danny. I want to know his opinion, and I know he'll be honest."
"He'll tell you the same thing we do." Maddi warned him. He shrugged and called Danny anyway. I don't know what he told my dad, but he decided to give Austin another chance.
And I'll forever be grateful for that.
End of flashback
I finally found out what Maddi was hiding. She has a boyfriend! I think I was more excited than she was. I wouldn't say the same about our dad, Jake, Austin, and Danny, though.
Flashback
"Maddi?" I knocked on her door.
She looked up from her phone, a spark in her eyes she usually doesn't have. "What's up?"
I eyed her suspiciously. "Who are you texting?"
She quickly hid her phone, making her even more suspicious. "No one."
I narrowed my eyes. "Give it to me."
"What?"
"Your phone. Give it to me."
Her jaw slightly dropped. "What? No!"
I crossed my arms. "You're hiding something. You keep spending time locked-up in your room, and I'm pretty sure you're always talking to your little phone-friend."
She rolled her eyes, but I didn't miss the slight blush appearing on her cheeks. "Who do you think you are? Sherlock Holmes?"
Suddenly, it clicked. "No way! You have a boyfriend!" I exclaimed, pointing at her accusingly.
Her cheeks became a darker shade of red as she bit her lip and sent me a pleading look. "Please don't make a big deal out of this and go all fangirl on me."
I shot her a look. "What, like you did after you found out that Austin and I had gotten back together?"
She rolled her eyes, but nodded. "Yeah. Like that." She mumbled.
"What's his name?" I asked her, taking the subject back on her new—and, as far as I knew, first—boyfriend.
"Lucas."
My eyes went wide. "Lucas? As in troublemaker of your class, Lucas?"
She nodded. "But he changed! I swear, he's really nice to me." She said quickly, and for some reason, I believed her.
"How long have you two been a thing? How did it happen?" I asked, excited. I couldn't believe my little sister had a boyfriend!
She shrugged. "He had been flirting with me for about two years. At first, I thought he was just teasing me, but then after a few months I thought that he would've stopped at some point if that was just teasing. Plus, I always found him punching or yelling at guys I hung out with. My best friend, Sarah, and I came to the conclusion that maybe he liked me. Then, believing that, I allowed myself to fall for him, although I still kept my guard up just in case. About a year ago, his best friend, Mick, came to me and told me Lucas liked me. I didn't really believe him since he had this huge smile on his face, but I still hoped it was true. My best friend, who was with me when it happened, decided to tell Lucas I liked him. Lucas, being the gutless guy he is, came to me immediately and asked me if it was true. Forgetting about my mission to kill Sarah for a minute, I began stuttering like crazy. Lucas took that as a yes and asked me out."
I laughed. "The guys are going to freak when they'll find out."
"Please, don't tell them!" She exclaimed.
I nodded, then grinned and ran downstairs. "Dad!" I shouted as I heard Maddi run after me. "Maddi has a—"
"Fever." Maddi finished for me, putting a hand over my mouth. I licked her hand. "Eww!"
"Boyfriend! She has a boyfriend!" I said.
Let's just say that he didn't take it very well. Neither did Jake, Austin, or Danny.
Oops.
End of flashback.
Two days ago, to celebrate Austin and I's 'getting back together anniversary' (don't ask; Dez named it), Austin, Dez, and Trish (whom had stayed in Miami when I left after getting Austin back) susprised me on my bus. I would've been happy, if it hadn't been two in the morning.
Flashback
"SURPRISE!"
I jumped about three feet high on my bed at the abrupt wake up. I opened my eyes, squinting at the light.
"What in the world..." I heard Lisa mutter from her bunk.
I rubbed my eyes, then opened them again. I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. "Austin? Trish? Dez?"
"What? I thought you three were supposed to land around nine in the morning, not two!" Lisa exclaimed.
"We took an early flight. We were two excited to see you." Austin explained, smiling softly at me.
"I would've found that cute if it wasn't two in the morning." Maddi said from the bed under Lisa's. Her, Jake, and our dad had arrived five days earlier and would be leaving two days later—well, one day later, since it was two in the morning—with me.
"How come I didn't know you guys were coming?" I asked them.
"It was a surprise." Dez said with a goofy smile. "So? Are you surprised?"
"Well, considering I basically woke up with a heart attack and hit my head on the bed above mine, I would say yes." I deadpanned.
He grinned and fist-pumped the air. "Awesome!"
"Aren't you guys tired?" I heard Danny ask.
"Now that you mention it, I am." Austin said, Trish and Dez soon nodding in agreement.
"So, where do we sleep?" Trish asked.
I ran a hand through my hair. "Well, my dad's already sleeping on one couch." I knocked on the woodened platform above my head. "Danny, could you take the other couch?"
I heard him sigh. "Alright."
"Thank you." I called after him as he left the room. "Trish and Dez, take that bed. Austin, you can sleep here." I say, patting the spot next to me. Trish and Dez climbed the ladder to their bed and Austin grinned.
"I'm cool with that." He said with a smirk. He shut the light and crawled on the bed, lying down next to me. He kissed my cheek, sneaking his hands around my waist. "Small bed. Awesome. Gives me a reason to be close to you."
I rolled my eyes. "Like you need a reason."
He chuckled. "Goodnight, Ally."
End of flashback
The next morning (yesterday morning), Austin and I decided two important things. Things that will most likely change our lives forever.
... Or not.
Depends on how people will react.
Flashback
"So, how long are you guys staying?" I asked Austin, the next morning. Everyone had already gotten up, but we decided to lie in bed for a little while. Too many people in a small kitchen isn't a good idea, anyway.
"Tomorrow's your last show, right?" He asked and I nodded. "Well, we'll go back at the same time as you."
I smiled. "Awesome."
"Oh, and I forgot to tell you when we got here—happy second two months anniversary." He said and pecked my lips.
"Happy second two months anniversary." I told him, giggling at the name. My smile slightly faded as I thought of something. "Austin, do you think we should go public?" I asked him. After getting back together, we had both agreed to keep our relationship away from the paparrazzis for a while.
"Do you want to?"
I shrugged. "I just don't want to always be hiding when we're together. I'm happy with you and I want people to know that."
"Well, then, we'll go public." He decided. "By the way, speaking of hiding, I think we should tell the school who we really are."
"Why?"
"They're not stupid. They'll end up figuring it out. Jake and Maddi are your siblings, but the school thinks they're Alicia's siblings, even though they don't have the same last names. They're oblivious, but not that much. You, Alicia, suddenly disappeared just as your tour as yourself began, and you'll come back as Alicia just as it ended. If they don't figure out who you are, they'll think you're some kind of obsessed fan or something like that. As for me, well, it's obvious I'll have to tell if you do. If you reveal your identity, they'll think you're cheating since you'd be technically dating Dustin and Austin." He explained.
I bit my lip. "I hadn't thought about that." I sighed. "Okay, we'll ask the principle for a school assemble when we'll come back, next week. We'll spill everything then."
Austin nodded. "Alright." He said, then reached for something behind me.
"What are you doing?" I asked him as he pulled out his phone.
"You wanted us to go public, didn't you?" He asked. Not waiting for my answer, he cupped my chin in his hand and kissed me. I smiled into the kiss and heard the familiar 'click' of a camera going off. He pulled away from me a few seconds later, started typing on his phone, and waited. Just as he shut off his phone, mine went off. I grabbed it to see a Twitter notification. ' AustinMoon_AMM mentionned you in a post'
I clicked on it and saw the picture of us kissing, along with a tweet that said 'Celebrating my 2nd two months anniversary with my girl. Love ya AllyDawson'
I smiled and pecked his lips. "Your Twitter's going to blow up. More than before, I mean." I told him.
"Yours will too."
"I know. Oh, and by the way, I love you too."
He grinned and kissed me again. "I know."
End of flashback
"Hey, you're awake." I hear behind me. I turn around to see Austin standing there with an orange juice.
"Good morning." I greet him, running a hand through my hair. I tie it up into a messy bun as Austin sits down next to me, then I take the glass from his hand and take a sip.
"Hey!" He protests. I grin cheekily and give him the glass back. He rolls his eyes. "So, ready for your last show on tour?" I nod. On tour, I try as much as I can to spare my voice. "Has this tour helped you decide whether or not you want to be a singer anymore?"
I nod again. "I called Jimmy, and we agreed on him hiring me as a full-time songwriter when my contract will end, so in a month. Although, he made me promise to record a new song at Starr Records every two months. He said my voice is something he doesn't want to loose." I shrug.
He nods with a smile. "And maybe you could perform one or two duests with me at my shows!" He said excitedly.
"You'd want to?"
"Of course. And I'm happy for you. If you're happy with your decision, then so am I."
I hug him. "Thank you."
"Alright." I speak into my mic as the cheers of the crowd die down. "You guys know Austin Moon, right?" They cheer. "Do you like him?" The crowd goes wild. "Well, I do to, and I have a special surprise for you." I turn around to face the backstage entrance. "Austin?"
The people in the audience go crazy as Austin walks on stage. "Hey, guys." He waves.
"So, I know what you guys are all thinking." I say.
"'Aren't those two broken-up?'" Austin finishes in a suprised tone.
"Well, if you had checked out Austin's Twitter this morning, you would have known that—"
He cuts me off. "We're back together!" He exclaims with a grin.
"And today, it's been two months since we got back together." I say.
"Our second two months anniversary." Austin says, then leans down to give me a quick kiss on the lips.
Imagine the loudest cheers a crowd of about five thousand people could make. Multiply that by ten. That's how loud the noise is as Austin and I kiss. I blush as we pull away, biting my lip. No doubt this'll be all over the internet by tomorrow.
Austin clears his throat, getting a bit shy himself, which surprises me. Austin Monica Moon doesn't get shy very often.
He takes my hand in his, and I see him slowly relaxing. "Anyway, I didn't come here just to tell you that I got the love of my life back." I blush even more and smile at that. He chuckles slightly, probably noticing my reaction. "I'm also here to sing a duet with this beautiful lady." He says and lets go of my hand to wrap his arm around my shoulders. "By clapping your hands, how many of you bought our EP?"
I'm honestly surprised at how many people clap. "Wow." I mumble, but my mic, which is attached to my ear, catches it.
"Yeah." Austin nods in agreement. "Thank you to everyone who bought it. You're awesome."
I nod, then inhale. "So, I think we should stop talking and get to the singing part."
Austin chuckles. "Yeah, let's do this." He turns to the crowd. "If you know this song, don't be afraid to sing along, okay?" He asks as the music starts playing.
"When you're on your own,
Drowning alone,
And you need a rope that can pull you in,
Someone with throw it..."
"Ally, that was great!" Trish exclaims. We join hands and squeal.
Austin laughs. "You were awesome, Alls." He tells me, casually dropping an arm around my shoulders.
"Thanks." I smile up at him. "You were great too."
"No as good as you."
"Alright, lovebirds, my turn to compliment her." Danny says. "You were amazing out there, Alls."
"Nuh-uh." Austin says strictly. "Don't call her that. Only I can."
Danny raises his hands in surrender. "Jeez, sorry."
"Don't take it personal." Trish tells him. "He's just really protective of that nickname."
Danny nods, then everyone else take turns to compliment me on my performance.
"I think that was your best show out of the whole tour." Danny tells me.
I nod. "Of course it is. I was finally with the people that matter to me the most." I say honestly.
"Sorry to interrupt, but Ally, time for signing." Lisa tells me. I groan. As much as I love meeting fans, signings always get me a sore hand for the three following days. Especially with big crowds. And tonight, it's a huge one.
"Awesome." I deadpan.
Lisa ignores my comment and looks at the tall blonde standing next to me. "Austin, they want you to be there too." She tells him.
"Ha! Sucker!" I stick out my tongue at him as he pouts.
"You're a sucker too, since you'll be with me." He sticks out his tongue at me.
"Suddenly doesn't sound so bad." I giggle.
Trish groans, completely ruining the moment. "Could you two stop flirting for two minutes? Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy you two are back together and are happy, but seriously! You two are like flirting machines!"
I roll my eyes. "'Flirting machines', Trish? Really?"
She huffs. "Whatever."
"Well, come on, you two! You're already five minutes late, and Ally, you still have to change." Lisa says.
I nod and run off to my dressing room. I quickly change, then run back, where Austin—who's wearing a different shirt—and Lisa are waiting for me.
"Gosh, my hand hurts like crazy." I moan as Austin and I get on the bus, which will be driving us the airport.
"Mine too." Austin says, groaning.
"I'll go get some ice. Want some?" I ask him, walking to the kitchen.
"Yeah, please." I nod, opening the freezer, then toss him a bag of frozen vegetables. I take one of frozen fruits, then sit down across him at the small table, both us us placing the bags on our pained hand.
"My hand never hurt so bad before." I tell him.
"Me neither. I can't believe how many people there were, tonight."
I nod in agreement. "It was crazy."
His smile softens a bit. "At least you've had a great show to end your last tour."
I bite my lip and look down at my hands and the bag of frozen fruits, feeling nostalgic. I sigh, then look up at him. "Yeah."
"How do you feel about..." He trails off, shrugging. "All this?"
"I don't know. I kind of have mixed feelings, I guess. Like, my heart's telling me I'm making the right choice. The spark that I used to feel whenever I performed isn't there anymore. But, at the same time, I'm sad. This has been my life... for as long as I can remember. I can't really believe that in a month, it'll all be over. Giving interviews, meeting fans... That'll all be a part of my past. And to be honest, I'm a bit scared. I don't know the first thing about being normal, except for school." I explain, my heart feeling even heavier.
"I know it can be scary, Alls. But no matter what, trust me, you'll be fine. And you'll never be normal. I'm sure you'll still get to do some interviews every now and then. And I can assure you that you'll be remembered. Your fans will still wait to hear the songs you'll have written, myself included. Everyone who loves you will be there to support you. And even though you'll stop performing and recording, your life won't change so much. You'll still have me, you'll still be working at Starr Records, I'll still be your boyfriend, Dez will still be weird, Trish will still be loud, and everybody else also won't change. Trust me, everything's going to be just fine."
I smile, feeling the weight on my shoulders being lifted. "Thanks, Austin. See? This is why I love you."
He smiles back. "I love you too. That's another things that'll never change."
BAM! Done!
