Epilogue

The Brightest Sunset

Nine months later...

A scream echoed in the dark, stormy night. All the houses in Treasure Town were dark. All but one. The house were Team Star was living. The scream was a female's, and it was followed by many more lights appearing in the house, a shinx quickly running out the front door and into the rain. Minutes later, she came back, a Chansey following her. - Come on she's over here, quick! - The shinx shouted as she lead the pink pokemon through the house, the screams coming from the room at the very end of a hallway. Next to the door they could see Zed, who was looking into the room, where Jake was crouched down next to Elly. - Calm down. Take deep breaths. - He kept repeating, trying to calm down the eevee.

Her belly was huge, and she was crying from how painful it was. The Chansey realized she had gotten there just in time. - Okay, everyone please back away. I'll take it from here. - She said. The sneasel looked up at the pink pokemon and nodded, leaving the room, pushing the ever so worried Zed and Lucy, who were trying their hardest to get inside of the room. He closed the door as he left both of the females inside, Elly's groans and screams audible from outside of the room. Minutes passed as the trio stood outside of the room, Lucy pacing back and forth, Zed biting his claws and Jake standing agianst the wall, his eyes closed.

A final loud scream was heard, followed by an eerie silence and faint whimpering. The Chansey's voice was heard, and a few minutes laster, she opened the door. - It's over. If she feels like she's going to throw up or faint then bring her a glass of water. If she starts bleeding call me immediately, alright? I'll stay here for an hour just to make sure that she stays fine. - She said. Lucy nodded, leading her to the kitchen, where she promised to prepare her a drink. However, their voices were far away for Elly, and even Jake's and Zed's attempts to communicate to her were futile. She was just focusing in the egg she was hugging, sobbing quietly as she rubbed her cheek all over it, crying from happiness.

His parting gift... a child. She had gone through so long without him, it surprised her so she had managed to stay afloat... but she had. And... with that egg... Now she had something else to live for. She closed her eyes, as she thanked the world for the life she had been given. Even if it had been filled with hardships, she now knew that she had something to live for...

She opened her eyes, waking up from the dream. They were bloodshot, her fur messed up, dry tears on her cheeks. Her body felt cold. Colder than ever before. They were reaching the end of winter... but there was no warmth that would ever touch her heart again. She laid on her bed, the window of the room covered by curtains, her bed a mess, the room covered in tissues, papers, some bags... it was a mess. All of it. Including her life. She stared at the door as she saw shadows moving under it, one of them bipedal, the other two four legged. One of the four legged shadows stood in front of her door, but then left, off to meet her mate.

Yeah... leave me... let me drown in my tears whilst you go and have fun with your dumb fucking mummy.

She sighed, her body aching as she shook herself. She immediately got up, not waiting for anyone to caress her fur. She had gotten over that long ago. She headed towards the door, standing in front of it for a few seconds, practicing a smile.

Put on your best mask, you little bitch... Don't let them see just how much of a worthless pile of garbage you really are.

She opened the door with her psychic powers, stepping out to the main hallway. It was then when she breathed in fresh air, which she definitely enjoyed. She headed towards the end of the hallway, which lead to the dinning room, where the other three members of the house were having a fast snack. Zed and Lucy were sitting next to eachother, eating their breakfast whilst chatting, and Jake was sitting at the other end of the table, eating some berries along with a glass of milk, completely alone. Serge had left a couple weeks ago without saying anything, but she knew he was fine.

Everyone and everything would be fine without you. And you know it.

- Good afternoon! - She said. Lucy looked up, smiling as she saw her friend. - Hey, Elly! - She saluted, then gasped, getting up and walking towards her. - Arceus what happened to you?! You look like you were having a fight! - The shinx exclaimed, examining her fur. It was a mess. Dried tears all over her face, something which Lucy found quite shocking. - I'm okay. I must've really had a wild dream just now... - She said, smiling as she tried to convince her friend that everything was fine.

Just leave alone, it's not like anyone's going to care what I look like.

- Either way, we have to fix this! You can't go out to the street like this today! - The shinx exclaimed. Elly smiled, shaking her head slowly. - I wasn't planning on leaving today... - She chuckled weakly. - Either way, I'm not letting you stay like this! Come on, let's go clean you up! - She insisted. Elly stepped away, giving her a weak smile. - I'm really okay, Lucy, you don't have to... - Lucy's face now turned serious. - I insist! - She exclaimed. The two males looked at the females, contemplating the scene from affar, Zed looking at Jake, who shrugged. - Lucy, I told you already. I'm okay. I can fix this myself I don't need help... - The eevee repeated. The shinx opened her mouth to speak again.

Eevee's eyes went wide open, her smile disappearing. - Just leave me alone, ALRIGHT?! - She shouted, the shinx stepping back, alarmed. The two guys looked at the eevee, who backed away, visibly crumpling up because of how much attention she was receiving. Exactly the opposite of what she wanted. - I'm sorry, I... I don't feel too good... Didn't sleep much last night, and haven't eaten anything today either... - She said, chuckling, trying to apologize for snapping like that. Lucy took a few seconds to react, that same smile appearing on her face again. - Aw, it's ok. I'm also a little irritable if I don't get much sleep. Either way, I think a nice bath would help you, so how about it? - The shinx asked.

This fucking moron... Why don't you just leave me alone you dumb bitch?!

Elly rolled her eyes and nodded, smiling. - Aalllright then, you win... - She said, as she decided to stop arguing and get a bath. - Alright then, let's go have a bath! - The shinx said, happy.

If it means that you'll shut the hell up if I do...

They both stepped into the bathroom, Lucy trying to make small talk with the eevee, although the furry brown pokemon only replied with short answers and head movements. After trying her absolute hardest to get her friend to talk, she eventually gave up, falling silent as they prepared the bath. Lucy grabbed the small basket with the pecha flowers, although Elly reacted violently to that for some reason. - Put those where they were. - The eevee simply stated as she saw Lucy picking up the flowers out from the corner of her eyes. The shinx's smile faded as she set down the basket, looking guilty, as if she had done something bad.

Great fucking job you sad excuse of a pokemon. Now why don't you just take it a step further and call her a whore for trying to be your friend?

- Sorry, I... - She began, but the shinx cut her off. - No no no, it's ok. - She said, going into the bath with her friend as they began washing eachoter. Or rather Lucy washed Elly, and Elly washed herself too. A few minutes of silence passed as they just sat there in the water quietly, until Lucy stopped, moving some of Elly's fur around her neck and going up to her head. - Hey... how many fights did you get into? - The electric type asked. The normal type's blood went cold. - Why... why do you ask that? - She stuttered. - Your neck's covered in scars! And... - She didn't say anything else, though her eyes did widen as she saw that some of the scars looked fresh, like she had been hurt recently. - Elly, are you sure you haven't fought anyone all this time? - The shinx asked. The eevee shook her head. - No? - She responded.

Tear off your fur! You deserve it you pile of trash! It's all your fault! Bury your claws into your neck! Cut off your head! Just fucking kill yourself and stop being a burden to your friends!

- Elly! - Lucy shouted, the eevee snapping out of some sort of trance. - Yeah? - She asked, her voice monotonous. - Are you ok? You look... - The eevee cut her off as she got out of the bath, shaking herself as she got her fur dry and then quickly combed her fur. It didn't look good at all, but it was ok for the eevee. She didn't care. She didn't need to be beautiful to go where she was going.

The only thing you've been doing all this time is being a god damn whiny bitch, unable to do anything to solve your situation. For fucking nine months you've done nothing but sit on you ass and do nothing. You've accomplished nothing. Hell, even one of your friends left you. You're worthless. Just kill yourself already.

She passed by the table, where Zed and Jake were cleaning up. - Oh hey, you already finished? - Zed asked, before the eevee pushed him away, the zorua almost falling to the side. - Hey! Watch where you're going! - He exclaimed, looking at the eevee as she headed for the door. He called out for her as she used her powers to open the door violently, hitting someone in the process.

Ferrus backed away, putting a paw on his muzzle as he groaned in pain. The eevee just walked right past him, ignoring the lucario as she headed through town. Her friends behind her called out for the eevee, but she ignored them, heading straight into the mass of pokemon that were walking around the market place. Some stopped to look at the strange eevee, whose fur was absolutely horrid as messed up, going everywhere. Some who knew her said hi, but she ignored them as she pushed her way through the crowd. She was heading towards the sun. The last time she had done this was when she was chasing Eric's spirit. Nine months.

Nine months since he died and left you alone... You feel so sad don't you? Well, let me remind you something, you little whore...

- … it's your fault he's dead. - The eevee muttered to herself, finishing her thoughts out loud. Some turned to face her,but she started moving quicker, heading towards the sharpedo bluff. - I'm going to do it... - She muttered, tears in her eyes. The images of her hugging Eric flashed in her mind, the feeling of the single tear he had shed, his lips touching hers, the feeling of his arms around her, their bodies sharing heat. All of it gone... Gone... - Gone! - She exclaimed, some pokemon looking at her from afar.

She left them all behind. She didn't need them. They didn't need her. That much she knew. She was huffing as she reached the sharpedo bluff, her pace becoming slower as she passed by a small sapling. The small sappling she had planted there after he was gone... She had tried time and time again to convince herself that he was with her... But it was futile. She knew, deep inside, that he was gone. Gone forever. And she was completely alone in the world. But she smiled as she knew she wouldn't anymore. Not for long. She took a few steps towards the edge of the bluff, looking at the setting sun. The same sun she had seen when she had first met him... how along ago? She didn't remember. It felt like an eternity had passed. An eternity of misery and pain. But she cried tears of joy as it would all be over really soon. Her front right paw went over the edge slowly. - I'm coming... Eric... - She muttered.

- ELLY DON'T! - Lucy screeched at the top of her lungs. The eevee turned around on a dime, her eyes wide open, as she saw her "friends" standing meters away from her, running closer and closer. She took a few steps back towards the edge. - Don't get any closer or I'll fucking jump! - She swore at loud, her language surprising the four pokemon running at her as they stopped on their tracks. They all just stood there in shock, not moving a single muscle. - What the hell are you doing?! - Zed asked, clearly scared out of his mind that the eevee had almost committed suicide.

- What am I doing? Trying to end my worthless life! - She exclaimed out loud. Their screaming called the attention of many pokemon, who just stood there in shock. - Why?! What the hell are you even thinking! Get over here right now! - Ferrus exclaimed, looking furious, pointing straight at the ground in front of them. - Why?! So I can keep on living this farce of a life?! Thank you, but no! - Elly replied.

- What do you mean face of a life, Elly? We have all been by your side all this time, trying to help you and... - Jake stopped talking as Elly began chuckling. - Did... I say something funny? - Jake asked, clearly confused. Elly nodded, tears in her eyes. - Trying to help me... HA! Like you even knew what the hell my problem is! - She screamed, everyone starnig at the fox pokemon. - For Arceus' sake Elly! It's been nine months, just... - The shinx began. - Let it go?! Let go of HIM?! Like hell! You have no fucking right to tell me to just let it go! Now when you've got someone by your side! So shut the hell up! - She screamed, clearly envious of the shinx's condition. The electric type took a few steps back, clearly wounded by her words as tears formed in her eyes.

Zed stepped forward, Elly taking a step back in response, a small rock falling off the edge behind her, everyone in the crowd staring at the horrifying event gasping. - But you've got someone by your side, Elly! You've got us! - He shouted, looking at all the pokemon. - All of us, we're your... - He began, but Elly cut him off again. - You're my friends?! Really?! Well I don't give a damn if you're my friends or not! - She screamed, now crying. - None of you can help me... NONE OF YOU! - She screamed out.

- We can't help you because you won't let us, Elly! You're not the only that's lost somebody, Elly, we've all... - The lucario had to back away as a psychic blast was launched his way, Ferrus staring at Elly, his eyes wide open. - Have any of you lost EVERYONE?! Eh?! Have you?! Sure, you lost a friend, a brother, or a father! - She screamed, looking at Ferrus specifically. - But have you lost your family?! Your mother, your father, all your brothers... AND THEN YOUR MATE?! I've lost EVERYTHING! - She screamed, falling to the ground, sobbing and hitting the ground underneath her with her paws.

- I used to wonder why... Why it had to be like this. What I had done to deserve all of this... And then I slowly realized that it was my fault. Everywhere I went, I just dragged along my problems... and I only just realized in these last nine months... Everywhere I went... "Hello, Elly, how are you?" or "Hey, Elly, what's up? Feeling alright?" Every time you asked me... I wouldn't say anything. I was just bringing my problems everywhere I went... Reminding everyone of what happened... For crying out loud I was Blake's damn daughter, and you all still tried to cheer me up... When I knew my father was to blame for all of this... And then I remembered. He did it because he hated me. I was the reason. If... If only I had died that night, all of this wouldn't have happened, half of the pokemon that died would be here today... He would be here... - She said, a pained tone in her voice.

- He always told me at first... that he owed me. He owed me for saving his life. - She moved her head sideways. - But I know that he would have survived... what would've happened next, I don't know... But he would still be alive right now! - She screamed. - It's all my fault! It's my own fault I can't be happy! I'm my worst enemy! - She proclaimed, many of the pokemon in the crowd feeling sick. - You're wrong, it... - Jake tried to speak up, looking really emotional, realizing that if they didn't act now, she would jump off. However, she cut him off again. - I've heard enough... I have nothing left to live for... I can't go on without him... - She muttered, getting up, glancing at everyone in treasure town one last time.

Ferrus stared at the eevee's eyes, his body freezing. He saw a truly desperate look in her eyes. Somewhere, deep inside her, she knew she was doing the wrong thing... But the emotions that now controlled her and were driving her to commit that atrocious act were too strong. She had given up. Faint words echoed inside of his mind.

"You see... there are two types of people. One kind that looks at the hole and just falls in, and another who stares at it and then walks away. The later are brave, true warriors that fight for what they believe. The others... are cowards. They let themselves be carried away by the circumstances and they simply let themselves fall in, not caring about anything around them."

The human's words echoed in his head as he saw that one last desperate look in the eevee's eyes. - Goodbye. - Seh simply said, closing her eyes and taking a step backwards into the pit behind her. Everyone tried to run to her, and time slowed down as they saw the eevee fall behind the edge. Their screams echoed in the air as they called out for the eevee... But the world had gone mute for her. As she stepped backwards, she closed her eyes, shedding a single tear as she fell backwards, the feeling of nothing around her body enveloping her form, before gravity took effect and she began falling down. "I'm coming... Eric..." She thought.

(Memories of You (English) – Persona 3)

I remember... I remember when I first met you. I even remember how that day started. I woke from a nightmare, I went off to work, and then later on I tried to join the guild. I was too scared back then, I'm sure you remember... I wasn't brave enough to even stand in front of the gate alone, so I left, scared... and I found you on that beach. Unconscious. Amnesiac. Mysterious. At first I didn't know if I should trust you, but after you drove away those two jerks... I made you a proposal. And you accepted. You were a bit of a jerk at first, but I slowly learned to trust you... specially after our first mission.

Remember that? It feels like ages ago... We were so young, inexperienced... unaware of what was coming our way. We faced an unknown enemy and prevailed besides one of the pokemon that would later become one of our best friends... You always gave it your all, keeping up the fight even after you were wounded... protecting me. I remember standing by your bed for days, hoping you would wake up... and when you did I was so happy... I remember fighting our worst fears together, and how we prevailed, and gained powers... and with them we overcame bigger challenges. We took down a dangerous criminal whist you saved my life... we took down one of the members of Team Uncario... And we encountered someone who claimed to know you... But I knew, deep inside, that the pokemon he described wasn't you. Why? Because I loved you.

And when you left you broke my heart... But I went on, trying to keep myself afloat. Because I knew you were out there. And I hoped that some day I would find you, and I could go away with you... And I did find you. But you came with me. I remember that time in the forest... The lake, and that battle with Groudon.. I remember carrying your soaked, tired body away from the middle of battle, carrying you to a cave and cuddling next to you. Why? Because I wanted to protect you. Because I loved you. And days later... It happened. You confessed yourself, and... I also confessed myself. We were both so happy, and I wish that time had lasted longer... But I was taken away from you. This time, you came to my aid one more time, but it was futile. I remember when I saw you standing besides me, telling me everything was alright... But I ran away. Scared. Scared of myself. If only I knew what I would become... And even then, I tried to end my life. But I failed.

Now I was in your shoes. Amnesiac. Mysterious. And working alongside two pokemon that claimed to be from the future... I just went along, hoping that I would find the answers... but the answers found me. You found me. I attacked you, but you believed in me, and in the end we were both taken to the future... I was a bit of a jerk to you back then, and I don't think I ever apologized. But when I finally remembered who you were... Who I was... I knew I truly loved you... And even in that dark future you gave me hope. We went through so much in that place... but we managed to pull through, surviving...

And we managed to get back home. You and I, with Eric following us too... I remember how we worked together to protect out friends. Our town. You and I. The scared eevee and the brave riolu together. I would've never believed it if you told me that back when we first met. But it became a reality. We took down our greatest foes, albeit with the help of our friends... but it didn't matter. We did together. That's what mattered to me. I remember that night after that battle. You were cold, and I cuddled up against you again. Just like I had done in that cave. I laid there, watching over you as you slept, making sure that you didn't feel cold. I always thought that you were the one protecting me... but I then realized that I was also protecting you... My love...

I remember that day at the beach. Your laugh. Your smell. Your face. I remember us talking, as we promised we would never give up hope... to be together. Forever. And we kept that promise. We went to the Hidden Land, we saw how our best friend died... And we lost all hope in the end... But we managed to pull through, and even in the very end, you held on to me tightly, never letting me go... because you loved me. And I loved you. Together we overcame that challenge... but we faced another one. The final challenge. You always kept fighting. No matter how dire the situation was. You fought for all of us, became a hero... My hero. And you left me against your will... just like that time.

Who would've known, back then, on that beach, that you would become so important to me? I never imagined me having someone with whom I could talk, who was my friend... who was my second half. My love. I thought I was alone... but you showed me otherwise. You opened the gates, you freed me from my cage... and lead me to the outside world. And at the same time, I let the outside world into me. I became happy. Something I always thought was impossible. I was happy... with you. And I'll be happy forever. I love you Eric. Forever...

These were her final thoughts as she hit the surface of the water, opening her eyes slightly as her whole life flashed through her eyes, her vision blacking out as she smiled one last time. Her tears mixed with the salty water of the sea as she fell further down and down into the pit of darkness below. She felt many things. Happiness. Regret. Sadness. Joy... Everything, every single emotion inside of her collapsing at the same time as Eric's face appeared one last time before her, before she blacked out slowly, mouthing his name one last time. He was her life... And now she hoped they would be together... forever... like she had always wished.

" - Apparently, psychic users can do a lot more things than you'd think... which I guess is pretty cool. But Teleportation is pretty freaking hard, and it's really weird, specially this last part. - She said, pointing at the opposite page, pointing at the words "Warning". - Warning: Should one use long range teleportation on another conscious being while a Telepathic connection has been established between the two, the non-psychic user will experience an out-of-body experience, also known as an Astral Projection. Although it acts as if it's the individual's ghost, the individual is still alive somewhere in the world, and when the experience comes to an end, he/she will return to their body. - She read out loud, informing the riolu.

What's all that supposed to mean? - He asked her. - I don't know, but it caught my attention the first time I read it."

E...ll...y...

Elly...

" Telepathic connection... Astral Projection... Acts as if it's the individual's ghost... Still alive..."

"Still alive.."

Elly...

Still alive

- Elly! -

She recovered consciousness as she began coughing. Her body felt sore. She heard someone calling her name one last time. That voice... She was being held by someone, and that someone slowly placed her on a soft surface. It shifted under her weight. Sand. The smell in her nostrils was familiar. The sound in her ears was very well known to her. The sea. A beach. The beach. She could feel the light shining down on her, but there was something obstructing it right in front of her face. She slowly opened her eyes, blinking a few times, her vision blurry, her breathing slow and tired.

(Dearly Beloved – Kingdom Hearts II)

There was something blue right in front of her. Not sky blue... Deep blue. It was really close too... And it was breathing on her face, panting heavily. Her body felt wet, but... the places where he was touching her, holding her on the sand... hugging her. It felt warm... But not just any warm... A warmth that spread through her body. Her vision cleared up, recognizing his ears, his red eyes, his muzzle, the features of his face... everything... right in front of her. Eric was there, looking down at her, blocking her view of the afternoon sky...

Tears came down from her eyes as she reached up to touch him. Her paw touched his cheek. He grabbed her paw. He was crying as well. He nodded. They didn't have to say anything... their eyes spoke for them. They pulled eachother into a passionate hug as the waves crashed against the beach. She whispered his name as she found herself lifting the upper half of her body off the sand, sobbing into his chest. He also whispered her name, crying, his tears falling down to her forehead. They were together. Finally. They broke the hug momentarily as they looked at eachother, the eevee pulling the riolu into a kiss. They laid there on the sand, realizing that this wasn't a dream. It was real. He was there... with her. And he would always be there. Even though the sun was already setting, for both of them this would always be their brightest sunset.

(Stop the music)

THE END

Well.. here we are. The moment has finally come. The ending. The finale. The culmination of everything that has happened. It's all finally over. I hope this ending came out right, because I put a lot of effort into it. I believe this is the ending most hoped for, but I want to give my reasons as to why this all happened and how it happened. Trust me, Eric didn't come back to life because I felt like it.

When the portal to the Distortion World closed, both Eric and Elly were having a psychic conversation with one another. In other words, there was a psychic connection between them. The emotional outburst that Elly experienced when she saw Eric fall was strong enough to act as an emotional trigger. In other words, it could be said that Elly went into a "Rage", where she used a lot of energy to teleport Eric back to her world with just her will. However, just like the book warned, should they have a psychic connection and should a teleportation be attempted, the one that was being teleported would go through an out-of-body experience, thus looking as if Eric had died, when he was in reality at the other side of the world, unconscious. When his "spirit" left, it came back to his body and woke up.

He took nine full months to go back since the region can only be accessed by either flying or sailing, and Eric could do neither. Fortunately, Serge left the team so he could "sort out his business", in other words, try to accept that Eric was dead, and whilst traveling he heard of a riolu named Eric. He tracked him down for a few months and after reuniting they left for Treasure Town.

Now why did I decide to make this death scene if Eric was going to revive the very next chapter? Well, because I wanted to show something. Just how important he was for Elly. Elly has, unfortunately, lost all her family members, and the only pokemon she had to actually lean on, to talk, and the only pokemon she could love, was him. After he died, she pretty much though she was alone, even though she had her friends around her. They could never fill the hole that Eric had left however, and she slowly began crumbling down. That last dream where she laid an egg was the last straw for the poor thing, and tried to end her misery once and for all. Luckily, Eric was just in time to save her when she fell down. I wanted to show just how intense their relationship is. It isn't only that they love eachother. They're both literally alone, and need eachother to keep on living.

Either way, I believed that this ending will leave everybody happy. However, there are a few questions that remain unanswered: Who is Watcher, and how does he fit into all of this? What was that First Armageddon thingie that Giratina mentioned before he was possessed? What is the Sanctuary's real purpose, and why does it exist? These questions are all still present, and pretty much lead us to the next question, which many have asked.

Is there going to be a sequel? Well, I'm happy to announce that the answer is... Yes, there will be a sequel. But I won't start work on it immediately. There are three main reasons for this. First of all, and the most obvious... I need a break. Badly. It sounds lame, I know, but I've been writing non-stop for two years, and believe it or not, this is my first ever fic, and it's a taken a heavy toll, so I think I deserve a break. For how long? Maybe three months. But that doesn't mean I'll stop writing. I'll be back (Terminator style ;D) after these three months, probably during Christmas.

However, the next part of A Hero's Rebirth may take a long time to plan out. I like to start my fics from the end, and go back to the beginning, and whilst I have EVERYTHING already planned out, I need to come up with some ideas, names, scenes, etc... And that takes a really long time, so please bear with me on that. This is the second reason. The third and final reason I won't start straight away is because I want to work on some other projects.

On one hand, I will write here, on Fanfiction. This fic has an alternate story called "Special Chapters" where I mistakingly uploaded some chapters that were, in all honesty, essential to understand some of the things that happened in the fic and that will happen later. Those chapters will be uploaded on this main fic a few days from now, so if you see it's updated, you now know why. If you haven't read these chapters, do so now. Why I'm telling you guys this is because I am going to start writing true special chapters. Just funny moments or short stories involving the main characters or some secondary characters.

Sometime in the near future me and a good friend of mine are planning on doing something special which involves Team Star, and although I can't say much, lets just say that you will all like it. I'm sure of it :)

Also, I have an account on DevianArt, and I have started a new fic over there, called "Chronicles of Random Doom". They are based on the pokemon comic series called "Random Doom" created by TamarinFrog (shout outs to her for being an awesome artist), and I decided to create a fic based on them... although with my own twists. It involves everyone's favorite world traveler(It's a story that happens before this fic. Sorry people, he's dead), as well as some mercenaries and the comic's cast, all of them collaborating to find out the truth behind a new organization called "Terminus", their relationship with pokemon experimentation and a group of mercenaries called Team B.E.A.S.T. I'm going to be frequently updating that one, since I've finished the first book of "A Hero's Rebirth", so if you're interested in something that I'm writing, you can go check that out too. I may also try to get the fic to FanFiction (if I can) just for convenience's sake.

And the huge thing that I plan on doing in this whole hiatus is writing a real book. An original story, and see if I can get somewhere. I want to test out all I've learned here in FanFiction and see if I have any worth in the real world (not that this isn't real, but you know what I mean). I will say more on that when the time comes. But anyways, this will not affect the production of A Hero's Rebirth, but I just felt like mentioning it because... reasons.

So yeah, I'm taking a three month break, I will upload the story on DA as well as a special chapter every month. (The DA story will be updated as frequently as possible, you know how I am with release dates). The secret project between me and my friend will remain a secret until he feels like telling it and I will be writing my own book sometime in the future! That's pretty much the gist of this long ass author's note!

Now, onto the credits. I want to get out the copyright stuff out of the way too, so unless you've got a hard-on for these things, I'd suggest you move to the next paragraph. Pokemon is owned by Nintendo, Gamefreak and the Pokemon Company. The original PMD: EOS story is owned by them as well. Eric and Clades are owned by me. All the music tracks that have been used in this fic are owned by their respective owners (sorry, too long of a list to bother) I don't know if I said any of this right. Somebody please send help ;_;

Now, onto the actual credits. I want to thank all of those who posted a review and have been backing up this fic from the very start. These are all the people that have done so (at the time of writing this epilogue):

AAAAAND to all of those people that posted a review as a guest, my most sincere thanks to all of you.

Also, sorry if i BUTCHERED your names XD

I would also like to thank those who, although they did not post a review, they did follow the story and favorited it, as well as all those people who did neither, but still followed the story until the very end. All of you are equally as awesome, and you've all helped me accomplish the goal of finishing this fic, so thanks to all of you.

Special thanks to:

Amon23 (Who is probably in tears right now. Thank you for helping with uploading this fic to DA and all around being an awesome guy)

AnnuWriter (A writer who I think has a lot of potential)

LucarioMaster41 (For uploading this fic to WattPad)

And all of my IRL friends and family members who understood that I'm a special guy that really likes creatures from a child's game and decided to do an extremely serious and mature fic out of it.

Yeah, when I put it like that, it doesn't sound so cool XD Still, love to all of you.

So yeah, thanks for reaching this far. Please, be sure to either leave a review or send me a PM is you want to share your final opinions of this fic, as well as share some theories about certain questions that still remain unknown. This has been Eric566, signing off.

See you on our next adventure. Take care, people!
