Hello once again, lovely readers! Firstly, I'm as surprised as you all are that I haven't switched teams already. This is Round 8, for chrissake! Haha, anyway, as I said, this is my entry for Round 8 on QLFC, and I'm still Chaser 2.This round is really neat, we get to write a headcanon. Not just any headcanon, but a random headcanon of someone else in the League! I got the headcanon of the wonderful Lizzy, a.k.a SiriusMarauderFan. Her headcanon is that Audrey Weasley, Percy Weasley's wife, is blind. It doesn't say if she's blind from birth or from an accident, so I decided to go with this story. My optional prompts are (scenario) a character being sent to Azkaban, (quote) "This is not a normal day." Raymond Gaines, San Andreas, and (dialogue) "You have his eyes."Hope you enjoy, and as usual, leave plentiful reviews. Also, check out the story of ragsweas, the seeker of the Falmouth Falcons, who got my headcanon that Dudley has a magical child. Here's the link: https/s/12639195/1/New-Witch-in-the-house

Warning: This will have a scene of implied rape, as well as torture by Cruciatus. If those set you off, don't read. You have been warned.

Audrey woke with a feeling of foreboding one cloudy, foggy morning. She couldn't say why she immediately had this feeling, but she knew it was there. Six words kept running through her head as she slowly got up and made her way to the shower. They were from a movie of some kind, but she didn't remember which one. She remembered the words, though.

"This is not a normal day."

Despite this feeling, Audrey went through her morning routines with no trouble. She got herself into the shower and ready to go to the Ministry for the day. She wouldn't compromise her position as an auror just because of a bad feeling. She had worked far too hard to get to where she was, years and years of studying and training, to throw it away just because she felt uneasy. As she stepped out of the shower, that feeling was nothing more than a small echo in the back of her mind, easily ignored and pushed aside.

Heading into the sitting room, she grabbed a handful of Floo Powder and threw it into the fire.

"Ministry of Magic!" she exclaimed. For a brief moment, the flames roared in her ears. She was sucked through the system of chimneys and fireplaces, feeling like the smoke that they produced until she was finally solid again, standing in the Ministry of Magic's Atrium.

Audrey quickly made her way through the maze of corridors and hallways, until she reached her own office. Everyone thought being an Auror was a glamorous job, but Audrey usually told them there was more paperwork than actually going out and catching Dark witches and wizards. Most of her morning was spent doing just that. Not that she minded all that much, she did enjoy having a certain routine, it grounded her.

The rest of the day went something of a similar nature, paperwork and messages and meetings, and eventually the clock in her office rolled to display four thirty. Audrey packed up her things and started for the Atrium.

On her way out, she popped by her friend's office. Lizzie Dyers was one of the best friends she had. They had met in Auror training, and the friendship had only grown once they had both passed the trials.

"Hey, Lizzie," Audrey said, sticking her head in, "just wanted to say goodbye, I'm on my way home."

"Apparating or Floo?" Lizzie asked her, spinning her chair to face Audrey, grinning at Audrey's twitching nose. Audrey knew Lizzie was aware just how much she disliked both forms of travel, no matter how necessary they were.

"Nah," Audrey said, grinning. "It's a nice day. I want to start getting some sun. I'm going to walk, home isn't far."

"There are a lot of crazies out lately," Lizzie reminded her, and Audrey shook her head, grinning. Lizzie was a worrywart, be it about the zombie apocalypse (which according to her was always just around the corner), or about being mugged on the street.

"I'll be fine," Audrey grinned, starting to leave. "I'm not going to let the possibility of someone being a creep spoil a nice walk home."

Lizzie frowned. "I can check on you in a bit, if you want. I get off at five today, I'll pop by your house and make sure you're okay."

"All right," Audrey readily agreed. She had learned the hard way that sometimes it was better to give in than arguing with her. "See you then."

The June air was warm, and it made for a pleasant walk as Audrey made her way through London. It was so nice that she decided to take a longer route than she normally did to get home, so she could enjoy the evening for just a little longer. This, eventually, lead her to some slightly out of the way streets, though none of them raised any warning bells in her mind.

However, a little while later, almost subconsciously, she noticed a man following her. She glanced back at him over her shoulder, frowning at the looks he was giving her. She could almost see a spark of recognition in his eyes.

Audrey waited until they were almost onto Shaftesbury Avenue before she turned around to confront him. She had never been a shy woman, and her parents had always taught her that a girl should always be assertive. Besides, she was a trained auror, she was sure she would be able to deal with whatever he threw at her.

"Are you following me?" Audrey demanded. Now that she was able to get a decent look at the guy, he reminded her of someone in an insane asylum in old movies. She could tell that this man was a Muggle, as he paid no attention as she grasped her wand in her pocket. Muggle or no, she would defend herself.

The man mumbled something unintelligible.

"What did you say?"

"You have her eyes," the man struggled to say. This time Audrey understood him all right, but his words alarmed her. "They're exactly the same."

Audrey, involuntarily, took a step back, her hand around her want tightening. She recognized that look in his eyes easily enough. Whoever this man was, his mind was clearly broken. Those had always been the more dangerous witches and wizards she had had to face.

However, that moment of hesitation cost her dearly. Faster than she thought possible, the man pulled something out of his pocket, spraying it into her eyes. She screamed, dropping her wand and slamming her hands against her eyes. She had squeezed them shut, while at the same time trying to rub away whatever it was that she had been sprayed with. She tried to opened her eyes, but as soon as even the tiniest ray of light hit them, the burning intensified, making her drop to her knees, as a strangled scream made it up her throat.

She scrambled away from the man, blindly scuttling backwards just to put some distance between them. However, before she got much further away, the man grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards him. She screamed, struggling against him, but the pain she was in, made her weaker, and she could hardly muster enough strength to push him away.

He backhanded her, and she fell backwards, hitting her head against the hard concrete ground. Then, before she realized what his intentions were, she felt a heavy body fall on her.

Mind freezing panic seized her, as his rancid breath washed over her face.

"Her eyes," the man mumbled, leaning down and licking her cheek.

It was enough to bring her out of her stupor, and even being blinded by the tears that had gathered in her eyes and weak from the pain, she started struggling.

"No!" she screamed, her voice hoarse, pushing away with all her strength.

Still no matter how much she struggled, how hard she fought, he was too strong, and without her wand, she was helpless. She could do nothing but cry and scream and beg Merlin to make it stop.

Then, as if in answer to her prayers, she heard someone calling her name.

"Liz!" she screamed, voice raw and drenched with tears. "Here! Liz, I'm he—"

The man covered her mouth with his hand; however, she renewed her struggles, grasping at strength she didn't knew she had.

"Get off her!" she heard Lizzie scream, and then his weight was gone, and she felt as if she could breath again; only for all her breathe to leave her once more as she heard Lizzie's rage filled voice, "Crucio!"

The man's screams filled the deserted alleyway, breaking Audrey out of her shock.

"Lizzie, stop!"

The screams continued, almost deafening her. She tried to stand, only for her arms to buckle beneath her, making her cry out in pain. That, finally, made the screams stop, and in a heartbeat, Lizzie was beside her, kneeling at her side, gently reaching out for her.

"I won't say I told you so," Lizzie whispered, choking on a sob.

"Please," Audrey whispered, voice breaking "I wanna go home."

"Audrey… maybe St. Mung—"

"No!" Audrey grasped Lizzie's arm tightly. "I need Percy. Please."

For a moment, Lizzie didn't say anything, then Audrey felt Lizzie give her hand a gentle squeeze.

"All right," she whispered. "I'll Side-Along us to your place." Audrey nodded weakly, and Lizzie helped her stand. Grasping tightly onto Lizzie, she felt the uncomfortable feel of apparating, and the next thing she became aware of was the warmth of her home.

"Hold on, I'll find Percy," Lizzie told her, sitting Audrey down on the sofa. "Percy! Percy, where are you?"

"Elizabeth?" Percy's voice came from upstairs, and Audrey heard him coming down. "Did you find Audrey? Is she alright?"

"Yeah, I found her, but it's not good. For either of us. I'm probably going to Azkaban and she needs St. Mungo's'. I just wanted her home first."

"What?" Audrey heard Percy say, and then a strangled sound that could have been her name. She flinched as he felt hands reaching for her.

"Audrey," Percy's broken voice reached her, and she hunched in on herself. She hadn't meant to do that. She didn't want to hurt him."It's okay," Percy whispered, and she felt him kneeling in front of her. "Just… please, love, tell me what happened? I need to know what to do, how to help you."

Slowly, words slurring together and drowned by tears, Audrey told him everything she could. She almost jumped out of her skin, when Percy sat beside her on the sofa and pulled her close. She tried to pull away, but Percy held her gently, and the damn broke. She cried, feebly hitting his chest with her fist. She let her grief consume her, knowing that Percy would be there to pull her back together.

When she had no more tears to cry, she slumped against him, any and all energy she might have had having left her.

Then, hesitantly, Lizzie murmured. "I came to check on you. When Percy said you weren't home, I tracked you…" Audrey heard her take a shuddering breath. "I wasn't thinking. I just reacted."

"That's not going to get you any sympathizers on the Wizengamot," Percy told her, voice steady, though Audrey could feel him shaking against her "Maybe they would lessen your sentence because of the circumstances, but you'd still be in there for a while. Ten years, at least."

"Well, it's just a prison, anyway," Lizzie tried for nonchalance, but Audrey could hear the underlying fear. "The dementors are gone now, at least."

Audrey felt Percy shake his head. "Lizzie... " he whispered, one of the few times he used Lizzie's prefered name.

"I'll be fine," Lizzie replied, her voice barely shaking. "Just… take care of Audrey. I'm going to go report in. The Office needs to know what happened, and we need to find that Muggle."

Percy nodded, and gently helped Audrey to her feet. "I'll take her to St. Mungo's." Percy started to make his way towards the Floo, before he stopped. "Lizzie… thank you." Then they were gone.

Audrey lost track of time after that. However, she was aware enough to know that they rushed her to a healer as soon as they entered St. Mungo's. Then, the world went deaf and she knew no more.

She woke sometime later, and even though she could feel the warmth of the sun on her skin, the world remained as dark as it had been before she lost consciousness.

"Love?"

She turned her head to the side, trying to locate where Percy was.

"Percy?" She jumped slightly as a hand reached for hers, only to settled down as soon as she recognized Percy's gentle touch. "What happened?" She felt him lean his forehead against her hands, tears wetting her skin. "Percy, please."

She felt him nod and take a deep breath.

"Lizzie is in Azkaban. They did take into consideration what had happened, but they still gave her fifteen years. She might be released earlier for good behavior, but it's not certain." He stopped then, taking a deep breath. He took one of his hands away from hers, and cupped her cheek. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "They couldn't do anything for your eyes." His hand tightened around hers. "But they're not giving up, love. This is Muggle made. They just don't know what to do, but they'll keep searching. We just need to be 'll fix this. They have to."

Audrey's breath hitched, and she leaned forward, letting her body rest against Percy's.

Blind. She was blind.

She sobbed against Percy's shoulder, the darkness that had become her world feeling utterly crushing.
