I think I'm dying. We're having a major dust storm right now - the dogs are cowering at my feet at the moment - and I really hope it doesn't get too much worse. Storms like this bring lightning, and lightning causes fires, especially in somewhere as dry as Texas. Ugh, go away wind - NOBODY LIKES YOU!

Sesshomaru's nose twitched of it's own volition, and he tried to smother the fear growing in his heart. His instincts had sent him into motion before his mind could catch up, reacting to the oncoming youki defensively. Now that he'd recognized it, he kicked himself mentally for putting himself in such a precarious position. The owner of the youki had noticed his hasty retreat, and was now coming to investigate.

Disastrous.

"Sesshomaru?" The priestess whispered so lowly he almost didn't hear it. "Is everything alright?"

He hummed a response, noting her rapid heartbeat and the scent of her fear. If the other caught wind of it-.

"Who are you?"

Sesshomaru stiffened, cursing himself for being so easily distracted. He looked up, priming his claws for battle. The woman noticed, and her fear intensified.

Sitting lazily on a tree branch above them was a tall demon, his white hair and purple markings achingly familiar.

"I repeat," The Great Dog General said, his eyes cold. "Who are you?"

How was he supposed to answer that?
