She is absolutely brilliant.

Title: Self-Indulgence

Summary: Sometimes, Kurt lets himself indulge in the occasional fantasy.

Era: New York

Perspective: 3rd person, Kurt focus

Prompt: "Do you ever fantasise about your own funeral?" "No." (Rachel and Kurt, Special Education)

...

It was all Rachel's fault. She'd mentioned something to him a while back, something so off-hand and casual that normally it would have gone straight in one ear and out the other. But, for whatever reason, this bit of insanity had stuck fast in Kurt's mind.

He knew it was morbid, sick, crazy.

Yet, there was something about picturing it: men in black coats, crying girls, Blaine, still and silent, overwhelmed by emotion. All because of him.

Of course, the fantasy reeked of self-indulgence.

The difference was that Kurt wasn't picturing a funeral. He was picturing a wedding.

Their wedding.

Wow. Normally I like my endings. This one though, is truly cringe-worthy. Let's all cringe together! *cringe*

Good. I'm glad we did that.
