After I left Rick and Carl with the doctor I raced to meet Scott by the entrance. Of course I was first to arrive and I leaned on the hood of his truck waiting. I stared up at the sky and huffed while I waited.

"You'll scratch the paint laying on the hood like that!" I heard Scott call from just down the road.

"Well maybe if you we one time every now an again I wouldn't have to take a nap!" I called back with a smile. He chuckled as he jogged next to me.

"You are awfully happy." he pointed out as I pushed off his truck.

"Why shouldn't I be. I found two of my group and reunited a family. Hannah is safe and happy. Everything is looking up for once." I smiled as we both walked around and jumped into the truck. "I bet we find someone else tomorrow." I smiled.

"Well wouldn't that be just great." he winked as we drove off and started out second search. It was a quiet search. Scott and I talked about random things but we found nothing. It was starting to get dark when Scott sighed. "I don't think we are finding anyone else tonight Crash." he sighed. "Sorry." He said and I sighed as we turned back around and headed back to his truck. "There is always tomorrow." He said.

"Yeah I guess." I sighed as I took one last look before getting in the passenger's seat.

"So what are you hungry for?" Scott asked as we pulled back into Alexandria.

"What?" I asked not even realizing he has spoken.

"I got just about anything you could think of as far as apocalypse food goes." he smiled over at me. I looked at him and was confused. "For dinner?" he asked.

"Oh right." I laughed. "I'm sure anything you make will be good enough. I just have to go check on Rick." I said. "Give me like an hour or so?" I asked as we walked up the street.

"Sure." Scott nodded as he headed toward his house.

I walked into my house quickly running upstairs and changing into cleaner clothes. When I came back down I realized it was very quiet. "hello?" I called out and no one answered. My heart started to beat quickly as I search the empty house. "Maggie? Carl?" I called and ran outside quickly. I ran to Doctor Steven's house and walked in when I heard laughter.

"There you are!" Glenn laughed as I walked in and saw everyone around Rick and Judith. "Find anyone?" Glenn asked and I shook my head. He sighed and then looked at me. "You found Hannah though." He said.

I walked up behind Maggie and Rick smiled at me. He looked better then he did when we found him. He looked clean and gearing toward recovery. I let out a breath of relief when I saw everyone with smiles.

"How you doing?" I asked and he sighed.

"Tired, but otherwise perfect." Rick said softly as Judith tapped his face with a big smile.

"Well I'm glad." I sighed. "I can see you are very well entertained. I'll be back later."

"What why?" Glenn asked.

"Scott and I are gonna plan out our search for tomorrow." I nodded. They all smiled back at me and I headed toward the door. "Where's Hannah?" I asked suddenly realizing she wasn't there.

"With Michonne in the other room, trying to get some sleep." Maggie sighed with a smile. I nodded and headed for the door.

"Juliet wait." Carl spoke up and came running after me.

"What's up kiddo?" I asked looking at him and he smiled.

He dove into me and wrapped his arms around me quickly. He took a deep breath before he pulled away. "Thank you." He nodded then ran off again. I smiled at him and headed back out.

As I made my way up the street I couldn't help but look up at the partly cloudy sky. Some stars shone through but it only made me wonder where the hell Daryl or Hannah were. Were they looking at the same stars or were they... no! I can't think like that.

I sighed as I knocked on Scotts door. "Come in!" He called out and I walked in. As I walked in I started to notice how much nicer his house was compared to mine or the newer ones were. It was just very clean and you could barely tell this place was abandoned at one point. I smiled looking at the empty picture frames on the wall. "I hope you are hungry, I got enough pasta to feed a small army." Scott laughed as he came out of the kitchen and watched me look around.

"I'm starving." I nodded as I went back to looking around. "Why do you keep the picture frames?" I asked as he poured me a drink.

"Well I didn't have pictures to fill them and keeping someone else's photos on my walls just seemed morbid." He shrugged as we sat down in his living room.

"You don't have any photos of your family or friends?" I asked.

"Well of course I do." Scott laughed as he stood and walked into the room at the end of the hall. When he came back he had a sadder look on his face. He held a few pictures in his hands and he walked slowly. "I actually haven't looked at these for a long time." He laughed a bit.

"I didn't mean to pry or anything." I felt guilty as he sat next to me.

"Oh you're not. You asked a pretty reasonable question." Scott looked over at me and handed me the handful he had. They were old and a bit torn but otherwise very clear. I smiled as I took them and looked at the first one. "That's my younger sister. Trista." Scott nodded. "And that's my mother and father next to her." He nodded.

"They aren't here?" I asked and he shook his head. "I'm sorry." I sighed.

"It's alright. It was three years ago now... when this all started. They got sick and when I brought them to the hospital there was nothing they could do that a bullet wouldn't fix." Scott huffed. I nodded and turned to the next picture. It was of his parents again and I smiled. The next few were some of his friends he had from other camps he had stayed with before coming here. All dead. When I got to the last picture Scott got very quiet and I was afraid to ask. "And that..." He cracked a small smile. "That's Amy." He sighed. "We were married for almost 10 years before all this. High school sweet hearts and everything." He laughed.

"She's beautiful." I smiled looking down at the pretty blonde that sat on the grass in the photo.

"Yeah she was." he nodded. "Well dinner should be ready..." he cleared his throat as we both to up and headed to the kitchen.

As dinner went on I asked Scott about the other camps he had stayed with and he did the same. I told him all about the farm and the prison. We laughed at funny stories he had and he listened to all the drama that our group was caught up in.

"So does Rick know?" He asked after I told him about the affair between Lori and Shane.

"I think Lori came out eventually and told him but I'm not sure." I sighed. "It got pretty bad between Shane and Rick after everyone found out Lori was pregnant..."

"Is Judith Shane's or Rick's?" Scott asked.

"Rick's." I smiled. "I mean at least I think. Rick is a better father Shane could ever be."

"How do you know that?" Scott asked.

"Well I've known him my whole life." I laughed and Scott just stared at me. "Oh right... Shane was my brother." I added and he nodded. I hated that I had forgotten to mention that, shouldn't that be something you remember to share. I sighed and looked down.

"Was?" Scott asked. "So he isn't someone you're looking for?"

"No... Shane died back when the farm got overrun."

"Bitters get him?" Scott asked and I shook my head.

"No, his ego and hard head got him killed." I sighed.

"Wow I'm sorry." Scott sighed.

"It's okay... I always have a part of him with me." I smiled lifting the silver 22 necklace from my neck and playing with it.

"And the gold one?" Scott asked. I looked down and pulled that one up. "Hannah? She is the red head you found today right? I'm guess she's isn't your sister." Scott laughed a bit.

"Um no... She's my daughter." I said looking up at him and his eyes got wide. "She was about three when Daryl and I found her. Her camp had been taken out by the same man who attacked us she was all alone. So we took her back and cared for her. Once she started talking she assumed we were her parents." I laughed a bit. "You should have seen our faces when she called Daryl daddy for the first time."

"Not one for kids I'm guessing?" Scott asked.

"Neither of us actually." I sighed. "But Hannah... she is just so easy to love you know." I smiled. Scott nodded as I helped him with the dishes. He left them in the sink as we walked back to the living room and I couldn't let go of Hannah's necklace. "She has the biggest green eyes... shine brighter than any emerald." I sighed. "Trust me, you have one conversation with her and you'll fall head over heels. She just doesn't see the bad in people like I do. She always looks over her shoulder and smiles." I sighed with a smile and Scott smiled as well.

"So necklace from both Hannah and Shane..." Scott started as he sat next to me. "and your husband... Daryl right?" He asked and I nodded. "He give you anything?"

"Just this." I smiled lifting my hand and showing him the ring on my hand. I smiled as I twisted it.

"Hell of a keep sake." Scott said.

"You still have yours?" I asked looking up at him.

"Yupp." he reached down down his shirt and pulled out a long chain with a silver band at the end. "Never take it off."

"But you don't wear it?" I pointed out. "You've made your peace with Amy being gone?" I asked.

"In a way." he shrugged. "I mean she died almost a year and a half ago... can't hold on forever." He sighed.

"What happened to her?" I asked already regretting it. I mean I barely knew Scott and I was asking some very personal questions.

"What happened to Shane?" Scott came back and it was like he knew I had a fake story ready for him. "You were pretty vague about it before so I assume there is a story there." Scott nodded.

"Alright I make you a deal... I'll tell you the real story behind Shane's death and if you want you can tell me about Amy." I smiled.

"And if I don't tell you what happened to Amy?" Scott asked a bit off put by my options.

"Well then that is your choice. I can't make you do anything." I smiled. "I've just never actually said out loud what actually happened and I think it would help me let go... if that makes sense?" I sighed.

"Alright then." Scott nodded.

"Well you know about Shane and Lori. You know about the baby and you know Rick found out eventually. Everything would have been fine if Shane would have just listened to me when I told him to let it go." I shook my head looking down at my hands that were shaking for some reason. I hadn't talked about Shane in a while and I had no idea it was so painful to relive his death. I took a deep breath. "Shane got obsessive. He wanted to run away with Lori and live out their days together... but she wasn't exactly gonna go with Rick alive." I looked up at Scott who looked a bit shocked at my low tone. "Shane led Rick in the woods late one night and tried to kill him. Rick defended himself and left Shane with a choice. Put the gun down or die." I shrugged. "Shane laughed and that got him a knife to the heart."

"Rick killed Shane and told you about it?" Scott didn't seem to believe it.

"I watched Rick do it. I was too far to stop him and when I finally got to Shane's side he was on his last breath." I shook my head. It was quiet for a second as I played with Shane's necklace. "I didn't even get to bury him." I shook my head. "Shane had his faults but he was my brother and I loved him. He deserved more than what he got." I sighed feeling my eyes getting teary. I tried to shake it but I couldn't. "We were ambushed by a heard of walkers... lost a lot of people that day." I shook my head. "Hell even before that we lost a lot of people." I shook my head. It was quiet for a minute and I looked over at Scott who was just staring at me. "What?" I asked.

"Nothing..." he shrugged. "You just never struck me of one who got close to people." Scott said.

"I used to be like that... but it got very lonely." I smiled. "When you care about people... hurt is just part of the package." I smiled at Beth's words. She used to tell me that when I first got to the farm. She was young but was smart enough to understand everything going on. I sighed praying she was alright out there.

"Oh you are right about that." Scott said as he stood and poured us some drinks. He handed me mine and drank his quickly. "After we escaped Atlanta I thought we were out of danger. I left my parents and sister in that hospital knowing I wouldn't see them again and the only person I had to worry about was Amy. We moved around a lot so we wouldn't get stuck or attached." Scott started as he sat next to me again. "But she quickly got tired of me constantly taking her from people she had grown to like. She used to tell me that we couldn't survive without other people. I thought she was just getting tired of me." He laughed a bit.

"Now I doubt that was true." I laughed a bit.

"Oh no it wasn't. I tried so hard to stay around people she liked, but they all gave me a bad feeling. Like if we stayed with them we would die too." He sighed. "So I made her pack up again and she was pissed. Didn't talk to me for like three days... seems silly now but I was mad at her too. She just couldn't see what I was doing, was for her ow protection." He sighed as he looked down. "But she was right. If we would have just stayed with one group we would have been safer. We were on the road for a few days and it wasn't long before we were cut off by a wave of those damn things." he sighed. "I told her to run while I fought some of them off. She didn't want to but I made her." he sighed and I could tell how angry he was at himself. "We were separated for no more than a few day, but it felt like forever." I sighed shaking my head.

"You found her though... right?" I asked.

"Yeah just in time to watch her turn." He huffed. I gasped as he looked over. "She got bit while running. She just sat down and waited for me... when I found her she looked so tired. Told me she didn't want me to be sad or stupid. Told me once she was gone I had to find a group and stay." Scott said as he stood and stated pacing. "So that's what I did. I wandered for a while but then I met Arron and Douglas." Scott nodded. "Took me in and gave me something to fight for." Scott nodded.

It was quiet for a long time as I thought about Scotts story. "Was it hard?" I asked looking up at him. "Letting go... was it hard?" I asked with sad eye and he saw.

"I had lost people before that... you would think that would prepare you for the day you have to let go of the person you love the most." Scott sighed. "But it doesn't... hardest thing I have ever had to do." He spoke truthfully and mentally I thanked him for that.

"Well it's late and we got an early day tomorrow." I said standing quickly.

"Look I was just telling yo the truth... but I'm sure we will find him." Scott said taking my hand and just holding it for a second.

"Yeah." I nodded and sighed. "I hope so."
