And you didn't think I'd update today :I

"Its wonderful weather for the circus, don't you think Ciel?" I asked, twirling while tilting my head up to face the sky, the clouds a light gray color with patches of blue shining through. I had never been to a circus before; other than Circus Circus in Las Vegas, but I doubted that would really count.

Sebastian began to put our bags away, turning to the servants. "From today on, the young Master and Mistress will be working in London along with myself for some time." Sebastian glared down at them. "Do not destroy the manor."

Both Finny and Bard were waving to us, Finny more because he was happy for us; Bard because he wouldn't have to really worry about the demon behind me getting onto him. "Young master! Be careful! Take caaaaare!" The gardener yelled, his face alight with a smile. "You toooooooo, Miss Tabby!" Maylene merely sniffled and weakly raised her hand in a feeble attempt to wave.

Crawling into the carriage, I scooted all the way over, snuggling into my corner with a blanket. Ciel started to follow, but stopped before entering. "You lot..." The boy lifted his head to peer over his shoulder at the less than adequate servants. "...Take care of the manor while I'm away."

For a moment, the three servants blinked before smiling widely, giving one strong nod. "Yes, my lord!"

The red haired man stood staring at us, gaping. His mouth was opening and closing repeatedly, much like a fish. I giggled as Ciel smirked. "I must say, Lord Randall's absence is quite convenient for us."

The poor detective sputtered. "Please, I'm begging you! If the commissioner finds out about this..."

"It would be better if he didn't." Ciel replied, as if daring the detective to tell. He sputtered some more.

"In the first place...how in the world did you manage to get into the third floor file room?!"

I looked towards the window, where the curtain was flapping in the wind. Off in the distance, I could see the church where Madam Red was buried, and momentarily wondered if Ciel wanted to go visit her grave, as the date of her death was quickly approaching its fifth month. I would have to ask him later if he would wish to accompany me to put flowers on her grave.

Ciel, being Ciel, ignored the young detective, turning to his demon. "How does it look, Sebastian?"

Said butler flipped through the files once more. "Of the children we've been asked to investigate, not one has been found dead."

The young earl gave a stiff nod, and I unfolded my arms, pushing my weight off the shelves. "So, are we ready to go?"

Once again, he nodded, turning to Sebastian. "If you've finished copying the files, were leaving." Ciel looked over his shoulder, smirking at the poor detective. "May I borrow these photos?"

"That'd be most troublesome!" I giggled at Abberline's frantic look. He actually looked worried at our small theft.

Ciel rolled his eyes at him, turning away. "If you're caught, feel free to say I made off them." Oh yes Ciel, real inventive. I looked back at the detective and noticed he was even more annoyed.

"I'll get even more of a scolding!"

It was my turn to roll my eyes. "Oh, grow some balls. Like a scolding is that bad."

Abberline's face turned blue at my audacious language. "I...I beg your pardon!"

My dear one eyed brother glared at me before turning to the red haired detective. "You...let's see, Underline?" I snickered as the detective glared hopelessly.

"Abberline." The detective stated flatly, fully aware that Ciel knew his name.

The boy shrugged, not really caring as he read the files. "You've been a great help today." Lifting his hand in a shooing motion at Sebastian, I thought for half a second they were going to kill the poor man. I was ready to protect him if that were the case; he hadn't done anything after all. Getting ready to pounce, I stopped when I notice Sebastian reach into the inside of his coat, something making a jingling sound.

"No way..." I muttered under my breath as Sebastian smiled, grabbing detective Abberline's hand, placing the metal there.

"Your cooperation is much appreciated."

The demon pulled back his gloved hand, revealing the money underneath. Immediately, my face met palm as I-adequately described-facepalmed. A smirk resided on Sebastian's face, but only momentarily. Abberline looked down at what laid in his palm in horror.

"I don't need this!" Grabbing back Sebastian's hand, he forcibly gave it back. The butler looked like he didn't know how to go about this; it seemed he had never met a human that would turn down money, even if it was bribe money. "I knew you used any methods necessary to solve cases as quickly as possible, but..." Abberline was literally shaking in anger. "This is...!" It seemed he had no words to describe is utter disgust with Ciel.

Said Earl merely smirked, going towards the door to leave. "Any methods necessary...hmm?" he chuckled. "Your flexibility shows promise." As Ciel stalked past, I followed and Ciel waved off whatever it was Abberline was about to say. "Hurry up and get promoted, Mr. Abberline."

I shook my head at the boy as we walked down the stairs. "Did you seriously think that He would except bribe money when he was the one against it last week?"

Ciel shrugged. "Perhaps he was only against giving bribe money. I had figured that accepting a bribe would not put a damper on him."

"You were obviously wrong."

Stopping, I took another step before looking back at Ciel, whose eye was developing a tick. He took deep breath before walking forward. "You do not need to point it out."

I grinned. "But it's fun!" I think I heard his patience snap, but he continued walking while Sebastian fell into step next to me.

"Miss Constance, you obviously have a death wish."

Snickering, I looked up at him. "Aw, you wouldn't let Ciel kill me." He didn't even bat an eyelash. "You wouldn't, would you?!"

"I would have to think about it."

Now, my own eye twitched. Making sure Ciel had already started to decent the flight of stairs, I peeled off my skirt like Nina's own, now having my legs free.

"Hey, Sebastian..."

Sighing, Sebastian stopped, turning around. I pressed myself up against him before he could notice the lack of skirt around the front of my legs, trying to be sly. His gaze remained neutral, despite the eyebrow that rose on his face.

"I think you may want to think twice about your answer." May as well give him a chance.

"But then you would not get your answer until next week." I gave him a very uncanny cat like smile similar to his own. "Miss Constance, what are you-" Sebastian cut off as he gasped, my knee meeting his groin. Obviously not expecting that, his face relayed shock and pain, open and vulnerable. Hooking my dress I ran down the stairs with the slight help of my demonic speed; if I was with Ciel, then Sebastian wouldn't kill me. I almost collided with Ciel's back, stopping just in time. Ciel turned around, raising an eyebrow at me. "Tabby, what are you-"

"Miss Constance."

The entire hallway went black with the painstakingly angered aura. I could hear each step Sebastian was taking, almost like the Phantom during the masquerade sequence. (Dun. Dun. Dun.) I gulped, hiding behind Ciel. Said boy sighed.

"Just what did you do now Tabby?"

I giggled nervously as Sebastian got closer. "Ah, well you see, I kind of took Sebastian off guard..."

This seemed to surprise Ciel. "Sebastian? You took a demon off guard?"

"Hey!" How rude this boy was; I was thoroughly offended. "It's happened before!" Sebastian's deep and animalistic chuckle echoed off the walls, earning a small meep from me. "But, ah, to answer your question...I kind of hit him in a very sensitive spot."

"Beg pardon?" Looking at his face, I saw he was honest to god confused. I almost face faulted.

"Oh my god, I am not going to explain it to you when I'm about to be murdered by a blasted demon. When your voice starts cracking and you have wet dreams about Lizzie, then I'll explain it." I stopped, rethinking that as Ciel turned a lovely shade of pomegranate before returning to his normal skin tone. "Actually, scratch that-I'M not gonna explain it to you. Let Sebastian do that."

"Tabby, what did you do to Sebastian. The faustian sign is stinging my eye."

Taking in a gulp of air, I said it all in one breath. "Ikindofkneedsebastianinthegroin."

Ciel actually facepalmed; I thought I was the only one that did that. "Exactly how long do you plan to live, Tabby?"

I shrugged. "A while."

Sebastian finally got to the last set of stairs, smiling his creepy I'm-going-to-torture-you-and-have-fun-doing-it grins like he did when fighting Grell. I paled significantly. He also hadn't been above killing Grell. Did that mean he would kill me too?!

"Hey, hey, hey! Sebastian, darling!" I smiled, but could feel it twitching. "You don't have to kill me, you know that, right? I was only...uh..." I blinked, wondering how in should go about this. "...um...teasing! Yeah, that's it!" I smiled brightly. "I was teasing you! Since you were a demon, I didn't think it would hurt you!"

Oh boy, was he pissed. Each word only seemed to anger him more as his smile got deeper and more twisted. "Oh, Miss Constance, I am not going to kill you."

That didn't mean I was out of the danger zone yet. Ciel knew is as well, eyeing him. "Then what do you plan on doing to her?"

"Absolutely nothing. After all, she is my mistress."

Gulping, I released Ciel. As Sebastian didn't lie to Ciel, or anyone really for that matter, it meant he wasn't going to do anything. At least, nothing physical. So, I suppose that was okay. I sighed, relief flooding me. As Ciel walked away, Sebastian came up next to me, leaning over so his breath tickled my ear.

"Do not believe you are out of the clear yet; I have other means of torture than direct ones."

The anxiety settled right back in its place.

"It appears that they are all still unaccounted for." Sebastian said as he opened the door for us. Brushing past him, I felt his dark aura flare up; taking a chance, I peeked up at him, only to find him smiling brightly. "Yes, Miss Constance?"

A small, almost silent 'meep' left my mouth. "Don't kill me!" I whispered, darting into the carriage. A dark chuckle came from him, and I scooted as far away as possible. It was much to my chagrin that he sat right next to me, our legs brushing. My eye twitched and I ignored him.

"Well, if they're still unaccounted for, shouldn't that mean they're still alive?"

"No." Sebastian answered, being humane to me. At least, humane in the way that he isn't suffocating me with his aura. "It only appears that they are unaccounted for."

"Correct." My gaze turned to Ciel. "It may be true on the world of the surface, but..."

"...The underworld is totally a different story?" I finished, looking down as Ciel's gaze lingered on me.

"Yes. In the underworld, there's the possibility that they may already be..." He didn't finish his sentence, and I certainly didn't want to finish that particular sentence.

Silence filled the carriage as Ciel pulled out his letter with the queens insignia. Sighing as he zoned out, I turned to Sebastian to start a conversation; however any sound died out in my throat as he glared down at me, his eyes devoid of emotion save for absolute loathing. I think I may have even shrunk under his gaze.

The entire time Ciel sat reading his letter, I could feel Sebastian burning holes in my head. It almost made me want to cry from how nerve racking it was-but if I did, imagine how much Sebastian would look down on me...and that wouldn't help with my current situation.

Ciel suddenly folded up his letter, sliding it back into the envelope. A long drawn out sigh passed through his lips and Sebastian finally turned his eyes away from me. "Young master. If this deals with the underworld, will we be visiting (his) place again?"

A shiver ran down my spine at the thought of him. I loved his hair...but I still thought he was one of the creepiest creepers to ever live. Ciel closed his eyes, but did not shudder like myself. "To be honest, I'd like to avoid it, but..." Suddenly, his face darkened along with the aura of the carriage. "I want to return to the manor house as soon as possible. Let's go."

Sebastian raised an eyebrow as he peered at Ciel. "Sir..."

"Sebastian he's a lost cause so I suggest giving u..." Stupidly I looked up at the demons face to find him glaring at me. Instantly, my mouth shut and I was actually looking forward to seeing Mr. Creeper.

I mean, after all, Undertaker had such lovely hair.

Stepping out of the carriage, I found Sebastian had completely ignored me; not even offering to help me out of the carriage. I glared. This demon was more stubborn than me. Wouldn't the damn demon just accept my stupid apology already?!

Walking into the building, I found the scent of death assault my nose. I gagged on the smell silently as Ciel and Sebastian continued unaffected.

"Undertaker...are you here?" I looked around while composing myself. I noticed something odd in front of his desk. Grave markers that were peculiarly arranged like...

"Bowling pins?" I asked out loud, and suddenly a skull rolled past us, knocking down the grave markers in a strike. I painstakingly realized something;

The undertaker was bored. And based off his smile when I turned around, I could guess we were the most entertainment of the week. "Weeeelcome, Earl." the undertaker gave us his creepy laugh. "Well, have a seat. I've just baked a cake." Dude, he was bored. Undertaker baked a cake. That itself was a scary thought. "Would anyone like a piece?"

I shook my head furiously, not wanting to know what else had possibly been in that same pan. The undertaker turned to me, tilting his head.

"No, I suppose you wouldn't want a piece, now would you." he snickered to himself, and my eyes narrowed as Ciel turned to me.

"What does that mean?!"

The undertaker shrugged. "Merely that-"

"You know what, I want a piece now!" I humphed, crossing my arms and sitting on the coffins, earning a chuckle from the man.

"I'll be right back with that piece of cake."

TCTCTC

Despite the fact that I had no idea where the plate or pan had been before they got used for cake, I discovered that said cake tasted marvelous.

"...in the Underworld, you see dead children everyday after all..." I grimaced slightly, looking at my cake, lacking appetite. "You're weeeell aware of that, aren't you Earl?"

Taking a glance at the smaller boy, I found a 'don't fuck with me' attitude radiating off him, causing me to raise an eyebrow and scoot further away on the coffin, and I noticed a little viewing window.

My face turned a rather putrid shade green, and I stood up; the coffin was occupied. I suppressed the shiver that ran down my spine, not happy in the least about sitting on someone's final bed.

"I've brought the files along." I looked up to see Sebastian placing a large stack of papers in front of the white haired man; my eyes visibly widened. "Among them, are there any you've cleaned up?"

There were that many children having gone missing?!

Undertaker delicately lifted up the top paper between thumb and forefinger, causing me to snicker as I thought of a certain insomniac detective from an anime containing its own form of shinigami; none nearly as beautiful as Grell, as weird as it was to say.

"Who can say?" Oh dear, he was using his creepy voice again. "Maybe seeing something amusing will bring it aaaaaaall baaaaaack?"

I almost groaned. That's right; his fee for information.

"Bestow upon me the choicest laughter! Then I shall tell you anything!"

Ciel gradually backed away from the creeper, never taking his eyes off him. "Sebastian..."

As when he went into battle-battle being interpreted however one wished, whether it be a deadly dance with a (formerly)chainsaw wielding maniac or preparing dinner in ten minutes due to Bard's inability to do so- tugged on his gloves, and I noticed a sense of dread fill the room. Dear god, he was supposed to be making a joke, not try and scare the life(where I doubted there was much anyway) out of him!

"Relying on him, are you?" We all blinked at Undertaker who was sprawled out over his desk. "Is milord a child who cannot do a thing unless Master Butler and the Missus-" My eye twitched and I had the sudden urge to wring his neck, just to see if he would die. "-around, hmm? Of course, I don't care who it is so long as they are amusing..."

An extremely dark aura coated the room, and we turned to see Ciel was an equally dark and sour expression.

"I'll do it."

I raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure about that? After all-"

"Get out." I stiffened at his tone, promising no shit. As he turned to face us, I discovered he had a slightly scary face hidden under his composure. "Do not peek. That is an order." The demonic human boy turned to me, and I held up my hands in defense, walking out without a word.

Sebastian followed me as well, and after we stood there in silence for five minutes, I decided to give up acting even the slightest bit mature to make up for my little leg spasm earlier.

"Wanna play rock, paper, scissors?

Sebastian got kneed in the balls. *cackles* hegetswhatscomingtohim forshadowingkarma?

It's shorter than the last few, but *shrugs* whatchagonnado. Can't really be helped. *sighs and flops over* I'll probably finish up the next chapter (I had written it twice before, and both times they got deleted) So I know what I want to happen, which is good. I just have to actually type it out. I'm not sure if I'll stay home tonight and finish it, or if I'll go out for dinner. Usually, there would be no contest in me staying home(I dont really like going out) but we currently have no food I particularly want, so...

*sigh* Going out for mexican and karaoke it is. :I

Also, at the bottom of last chapter's AN, i wrote it was my cousin's bday. At 8'clock at night, she called and asked if I wanted to go to Knott's Scary Farm. Like, legit, 8:00 at night. we didn't get there 'til almost 10. :I This is also the same cousin that called at 4 in the afternoon to ask if I wanted to go to disneyland. :thiskillstheman: o(-

It closed at one though, so we got three hours out of it~ and it was fun, because all the monster's started following her. At one point, we were walking down a path, and had like, 6 monster's trailing behind us; we felt powerful like we possessed a monster army.

See you Monday~
