Surprise! :D

Can you all say a chapter in Sesshy's POV? You can't? Well...shit. Eh, you get one anyways.

Chapter 49- Daisy, Daisy

It's been several months since I last felt the rush of my demonic energy.

It flowed through, urging the demon deep inside to come out. It yelled through my veins like lightning hitting the Earth's soil. Strange, however, this event triggered such a feeling. Last I released my true self was when Rin was kidnapped by her sister and Naraku. I transformed then, carefully to not make any mistakes and come close to hurting my mate. This time, the rush of the wind and the scent of my daughter were too much, and the beast was itching to release before I left my mate's sight.

Her eyes – there was fear, but my brain would not comprehend fast enough to tell what from. It was a mere blur of action once I realized Saika had been taken. I ran on instinct and left before Rin could stop me. I didn't want her to get involved in my own foolish mistake. I growled, frustrated, narrowing my eyes through the rushing wind, swearing I would take back our daughter, and destroy the one who has been making our lives Hell.

The transformation was on the surface. I felt the power of demonic aura shift my humanoid form into something true. I landed on the ground, crushing the trees beneath my poisonous claws. The whole area would be a barren wasteland due to my small amount of power. How weak the land has become since the glory days of the Muromachi period. I suddenly craved the days of blood battles and conquering the land. And as I ran quickly through the vast landscape, the nostalgic feeling added fuel to the growing fire.

I paused as the wind shifted. The full moon casted it's light through the ocean of trees and giant mountains in the horizon. It was there, deep in the Kiso Mountains, where Saika's scent had arrived.

I released a roar, warning the one ahead that they were about to die in the most painful way. I knew Rin would hear. She would feel the anger inside my mind. Her own would reflect and affect her. Being in my true form clouded my connection to her. I could still feel her rising anxiety, her fear from my increasing distance; however, it was fuzzy.

I hadn't told Rin about my past and there was a reason why.

She had been scared of me before. Through words of another, although foolish of her to believe it, was enough for her to keep her distance from me.

It made my blood boil.

Placing these ridiculous thoughts in my mate's head, enough for her not to trust my self-control created an itch that needed to be destroyed - mind-control from a sorcerer's power. She had gone through much in the last year, and doing this…making her not trust her mate…trust me….

I pushed faster towards the mountains, letting my muscles burn, my determination grow wild.

This was a battle for me only. This was my own fault. I would not let Rin grow more worried due to my mistakes. I would find Saika, kill the sorcerer, and return. All would be well, and my family would no longer be in danger.

I stopped at the foot of the mountain's pass. Through the darkness, my eyes gleamed through, noticing small animals and demons scattering from my presence. I released a wave of demonic aura enough to scare any foolish creatures that would stand in my path, and give the one who took my treasure that I was here to claim back what was mine.

I growled, rushing through the pass. Saika was near. Her lilac scent had led me to a massive opening in one of the giant's side. Wind blew pass, blowing snow from adjacent mountains through my white fur. My red eyes narrowed in the dark passage as I transformed back into a humanoid form.

It was when I entered I heard the same song as before. It was distant, but the lyrics of the slow music were the same. I stopped to listen for a moment, trying to locate the sound through the labyrinth of tunnels. Saika's scent had covered the entire area, mixing in with the limestone, distorting my sense of smell. I cursed silently, following the sound exactly, leading me to a fork in the path.

The sound was coming everywhere. My hands clenched, feeling the poison release into the atmosphere. If I had brought a weapon, I would get this done by taking the mountain down, collapsing the earth onto the enemy.

Saika…

She had stopped me from going on a rampage. My daughter, flesh and blood. She was only a half-demon, and if I were five-hundred years younger, I would sneer at my-self for ever mating and falling for a human.

I was once a powerful and fear being. No demon would stand in my way. My father hated my pride, but it was my pride that made me who I was, made me powerful.

Now my pride had been taken right under my nose once again.

I turned down the right path, racing through the passage and deeper down in the mountain. The sound…the cursed music…it was here.

"Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do,"

I stopped again, noticing the lyrics clearly now being sung in a different voice. The tone was soft, like a mother's touch. I recognized this voice.

I entered a massive cavern, at least fifty feet above, large enough to fit my true form easily. Saika's scent had returned clearly. It had ended here. She was all over the cavern, but I could not see her.

I looked all over the room, taking in every detail from the stalagmites growing from the floor, to the large stalactites threating its massive spikes above. Every drop of water fell echoed loudly throughout the cave.

And the woman's voice echoed with it, as it mixed in with a cry of a child.

I ran, my eyes widening from the familiar cry, entering a smaller cavern with a small artificial light in front of me coming from a small screen.

I narrowed my eyes at the piece of technology, confused of its existence in this cave. But on the screen I saw it- Rin's mother, singing Daisy, Daisy to a crying Rin. My expression remained calm; I watched the old family video, seeing two-year-old Rin being rocked back and forth as she stopped crying and fell asleep.

I had been fooled, and I growled at my again mistake.

The screen in front of me changed. The music turned into an irritating fuzz of black and white. And a figure with a skull arose from behind the black and white fuzz, distorted from the changing waves of the screen.

It laughed; its voice deep.

"Welcome, Sesshomaru. We're glad we are finally meeting you," it spoke on different voice tones, changing from feminine to masculine. This creature disguised itself well.

"You are X then?"

"We are surprised you are asking that simple question. We thought it would be obvious."

I let out a small snort, smiling. "Hardly. I would've thought you would be more of a challenge. It seems as though I overestimated you. I'm disappointed."

It laughed. "We are pleased you do overestimate us; however, we suggest you wouldn't underestimate us either." My eyes narrowed as I remained silent, waiting for the figure to continue speaking. "We do regret to inform you that you came all the way here for no reason. Your daughter is not here."

I narrowed my eyes at the figure on the screen. "Where is she?" I asked through a more barren tone.

"Do not worry. She is safe for now. Your mate will probably be arriving to find her soon."

My eyes widened. Rin? When I told her… "Tell me where she is," I demanded, fear slowly rising, but my anger rising faster.

It laughed. "We're sorry, but that's cheating. We don't like cheaters."

I growled low in frustration.

"Are you scared, Sesshomaru? If you want, we can tell you where they are, but you'll have to play with us first."

I snapped at the figure. "Silence!" slashing my poisonous claw against the television box. The wires sparked as the voice and figure disappeared. I could feel my demonic aura growing again. I wanted to hunt them down and make them suffer. I wanted to watch their blood pool beneath my feet.

I wanted to kill.

I exited the room, entering the large cavern again. My demonic aura rose as I positioned myself to launch out of this foolish darkness to find Rin and Saika. I had been under a trick of a sorcerer's spell! Their magic had deluded my senses. I wanted to see my claws slice their throat apart.

Before I was able to leave the cavern, a figure stepped out. A figure dressed in a black cloak, wearing a mask of a skull.

It laughed. "You are sure one angry little puppy."

Was it trying to mock me? I, Sesshomaru? They were idiotic to think so. My grin returned. "You seem to have a death wish." I raised my hand up to show the glowing poison emanating off my claws. "Very well, I will kill you to end this."

In a blur, I slashed the figure in front of me, watching the mirage disappear. I cursed again by my lack of judgement and blind will to kill.

The figure tsked on the other side of the cavern. "You mustn't fight blindly, little puppy. Or you may end up hurt."

I stood staring at the figure, analyzing where it really was. The figure was a mirage, I knew that much. It was a mere trick of the mind. I needed to figure out where the real one was hiding.

"You aren't here, are you," I commented.

"Look who is finally learning. Correct, little puppy, we are not here."

I ignored their troublesome nickname again. "You are a coward to not face me then."

It shook its finger at me. "Oh, no, no, little puppy. We are merely stepping back on this one. You see, this cavern isn't the best place to battle. We thought we would wait for a…safer time."

My eyes evaluated the cave. "Safer?"

"A time when we are free to do what we wish. We are sorcerers after all. We've been waiting for a long time to come out of hiding."

"How many are you?" I asked.

"Enough to end the reign of your kind. Enough to start anew and live in paradise."

"And you need my daughter for that?"

It raised its finger again, this time on its mouth. "Shhh, it's a secret."

I growled. "You will die by my sword and claws before you get near her."

"Oh, but we already have."

"Enough!"

I ran towards the figure again, not caring if it was a mirage or not. My blind anger and demon rose too fast, clouding my mind again. I was only a few feet away from it, and in an instant, a bright light overcame my sight, pushing me back like a force of gravity. I felt my body run through the pillars of the cave, before I took control and skidded against the ground. My eyes burned slightly as I tried to blink away the stars. My mind felt off, but cleared instantly. When I looked back at where the figure was, it had vanished.

I stood up, looking around. Dammit!

Before I could even begin to move, I heard a loud crack above me. My eyes widened as rocks began to fall. One after another, there was only a few seconds to escape before the entire cavern came down. I acted fast as the roof began to collapse above me. Spikes fell in front of me, blocking my way. I cursed, hopping, moving through the falling ceiling.

But I wasn't fast enough as I felt something hit my head, turning the world black.

I'm going to be honest with you guys, cause I feel that we've gotten close enough that I can. I really wasn't going to have a Sesshy POV until chapter 81, buuuut I just thought after writing the last chapter and how it ended, plus we made it to 1000 reviews, and you guys deserved a present or something, that I needed to know what Sessh would do too so writing his POV (although as hard as it is) made sense. You know?

Yeah, so review for me ^^ and I'll see you next chapter (probably early May cause of school...procrastinating).
