She looked at her reflection. Her white hair in waves and let down with a headband adorned with black flowers and crystals. Her eyelids a shade of pink and red. Her cheeks blushed pink. Crystal earrings dangled from her earlobes. A silver choker with diamonds adorned her neck. She looked different. Completely different.

She turned her head to look at the dress lying on the bed. It was a long, black tube dress with black diamonds decorating its tube top while its skirt is velvet black. She liked it that way. She chose a vampire-themed wedding in the first place. Seijuro also agreed with the theme to give it some uniqueness.

She placed herself inside the gown and let her assistants adjust the ribbons behind it. One assistant was tending to her hair, placing the black veil carefully. Her mother entered the room with a box in hand.

"Mom?" she called out, not moving too much to let her assistants work better.

"This is for you, my dear", she opened the box and revealed a pair of glittering black pumps.

"But I have-"

"I wore these during my first date with your father. I consider it a lucky charm. I want you to wear it."

She smiled. "Thank you, Mom."

"Hours from now, you'll be an Akashi. Are you ready?"

"Ready's my nickname." She smiled.

Yukia's POV

It feels amazing and nerve-wrecking at the same time. Is this how it really feels like? To walk down the red aisle adorned with petals from the little girls walking ahead?

I felt everyone's eyes upon me. I felt nervous. Until I saw my teammates and friends smile at me. It made me relax a little. I continued to look forward and saw him waiting at the altar.

Akashi Seijuro.

He looked stunning, like a real vampire. A black and red cape adorned his black suit. His eyes did the finishing touches. Red eyes made him perfect.

He smiled. It wasn't the smile he showed during games and during business meetings. It was a sincere one.

I returned a smile.

They faced each other and said their vows. Surprisingly, neither of them cried. If someone did cry, it was her mother. Her father tried his best to comfort her, giving an apologetic smile to Yukia and Seijuro. They both smiled in return, a smile that said 'It's okay'. They placed the rings on each other carefully.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife." The priest said. "You may now kiss the bride."

Seijuro lifted the veil and looked at her for a moment. He then lowered his head to her neck and kissed her skin. Yukia closed her eyes and placed her hands on his shoulders.

Riko poked Momoi. "Why is he kissing her neck? It's supposed to be on the lips, right?"

"Riko, it's a vampire wedding. Of course the kiss is on the bride's neck. Don't you think it's cute?" Momoi blushed.

Riko's mouth formed an 'o'. "Why haven't I thought about that before?"

"MOOOOOOM! DAD WON'T LET ME WIN AT CHESS!" the redhead girl ran to her mother, who was reading a book on cardiology. She gave a pat on the girl's head and frowned at her husband.

"Seijuro, you gotta teach Reika properly." She carried the child ad walked towards her husband, who was sitting on the chess table. Seijuro just smirked.

"Dad, why do you win so easily?"

"It's because you have to use all your chess pieces properly. Each of them has their own capability." He answered calmly and took the child from Yukia. "Always protect your king."

The child looked at the pieces with curiosity in her eyes. Then she picked up a piece from the chessboard. "What does this piece do, Dad?"

He chuckled. "This," he held it, "is the Queen. She is the most powerful piece in the game."

The child yawned. "Let's play again tomorrow, Dad."

She smiled as he carried Reika to her room. Having a family wasn't that bad. They were her stress relievers. Stress from her patients and her current project with Midorima about viruses.

He sat back on the chair and looked at her with a smirk.

"What are you looking at?" she smiled.

"Nothing. I remember your high school days. You being the Seirin's White Queen." He picked up the white queen piece and examined it.

She chuckled. "Says the one being referred as the Red Emperor of Teiko and Rakuzan."

He smiled and got a box from his pocket. He handed it to her with a smirk. "I thought you might like this. It's a gift from you Seirin friends."

She carefully opened the box and saw a black handkerchief. "A handkerchief? Thank y-"

Her eyes widened with amazement. In the middle of the handkerchief is a crown, and below it were Japanese characters that translated into "The Queen Leads".

She smiled and stood up. He looked at her as she walked towards the sports room. After a couple of minutes, she went out with a basketball in hand and a pair of basketball shoes.

He smirked and stood up. He knew this would happen.

Of course, she grinned like a child. "Care for a one-on-one, Red Emperor?"

"Anything for the White Queen."
