Hello everyone, I was reading my reviews and I saw one that made me feel terribly guilty. I seem to have offended someone (You know who you are) and I sincerly apologize for that! It was never my intent. I will no longer be using google translate as it has been inaccurate at times, From now on, when the characters speak Japanese you will see this symbol `. Once more I apologize if I have offended you. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the story.
Chapter 49
Glittering Caves
I refused to leave the door until the battle was over. All I could think about was my husband and daughter. Would Legolas and I ever see her again?
"Stop thinking like that! I will make sure you both see her again!"
You know I hate having a best friend who can read my mind.
"I know. But you cannot think that way. You must always have hope, just like your sister says."
I smiled. Arwen always told me to have hope. I heard someone shout and then I heard hooves thundering forward. I closed my eyes and prayed for Legolas' safety.
Buddha protect my husband. Give him strength.
Legolas' POV
We rode out into the early morning, slashing away at the uruk-hai. We were hopelessly outnumbered but then the uruks turned to the east. I smiled when I saw Gandalf had come.
"To the keep!"
He and the soldiers of Rohan rode down the hill and fought off the uruks. They started to retreat and I smiled. Emerald still set several of them on fire. I laughed and shook my head.
"VICTORY! WE HAVE VICTORY!" The king shouted.
I smiled and ran back towards the keep. I knew that Kasumi will have heard the king as well. Sure enough I saw her come running out to me. I took her in my arms and held her tight with a smile on my face.
"I love you!" she said.
"And I love you." I said.
She pulled away and kissed me hard before hugging me again. I had been worried I would never hold her in my arms again. I had never been happier to be wrong. I stroked her hair and pulled back so I could look at her beautiful face.
"My Lady."
We turned and found the king there. He got off his horse and bowed to Kasumi.
"I thank you for bringing your dragon. Without it we would have been lost."
"Her."
"My apologies, without her we would have been lost." he said.
Kasumi smiled and bowed her head.
"There is no need to thank me my lord. I was happy to help."
"You are forever welcome in Edoras."
We both bowed and then he walked away. I held Kasumi in my arms and thanked the Valar she was safe.
"Lady Kasumi!"
I saw Lady Eowyn coming forward. She smiled at my wife and took her hands.
"Thank you. You helped protect the women and children. I could never thank you enough."
Kasumi smiled.
"You fought bravely. And I can see there will come another time where you must fight. I pray that you will be safe when that time comes."
"Thank you."
Kasumi's POV
Eowyn left and I turned back to Legolas.
"Where will you all go next?" I asked.
"I do not know."
I smiled.
"Then come back with me?"
He shook his head sadly.
"This is not yet over. I am sorry meleth nin."
I sighed and put my arms around him.
"Then you must go on. I understand, I really do. Just….come home soon."
He nodded and I kissed him again. I did not want to let him go.
"I am ready to go if you are."
I looked at Emerald and nodded.
"I must go. Nerine will need me."
He nodded and gave me one last kiss. I let him go and climbed on Emerald's back. He smiled as we flew away and I did too. Legolas was safe for now and soon I would see my daughter again.
