You guys scare me sometimes with your creative threats if I don't update soon. Okay, well here it is…

Ella POV

We had locked Fang in the art room. Luckily with no windows or other entrances/exits, no one else was getting in or out until Max got here (or there was a fire or something else life-threatening). For the first fifteen minutes he had been screaming and banging against the door, but had given up when he realized what was really going on. Then Iggy proceeded to call Max. The Plan had been going so well that I was just waiting for something to go wrong. We also had no idea how long we were going to keep the two trapped in there. Could be an hour, could be a day. It wasn't a perfect plan, either. First, how would we know if they had really made up or if they were just faking it to get out? What if there was some air vent or something that we didn't know about that would allow them to get out? What if being trapped together made their situation even worse? There were too many different variables that could go wrong that I didn't even try calculating them. But the fact was that we had already started it and there was no turning back.

"Max's car is rolling up the driveway!" Dylan warned us. "Places everyone!"

I rolled my eyes. 'Everyone' was just Iggy, Dylan and I. Dylan had been sneaking in theater phrases anywhere he could lately because his new dream was to become a theatre director like the nerd that he was. Dylan had found this the perfect opportunity to 'direct' some acting.

Max came barreling through the front door faster than I've ever seen her run. "Where is he?" she demanded.

Iggy somberly pointed at the door leading to Max's art ran to it and turned the knob, thinking it was locked on the inside even though it was locked from the outside. I had replaced the knobs in the middle of the night while Fang was sleeping. Originally there weren't any locks at all. It would be pretty weird to have a lock on the outside of a room that had no other exit. After realizing that she wasn't going to be able to open it, she started banging on the door.

"Fang!" She yelled. "Open the door."

Iggy brushed Max away and stuck the key in the lock. Max was so panicked that it took her a minute to realize that for Fang to lock himself in there would have to be a lock on the inside. And by the time that Fang yelled. "Max, it's a trap!", it was too late because we had shoved her into the room just like we had Fang. Dylan and I held the door closed while Iggy locked it could practically feel Max's fury radiating from the door as she kicked and pounded and ran into the door. For a minute she was putting up such a fight that I thought she might actually get through the door. We all stepped back simultaneously in case she sent parts of the door flying. After about five or ten minutes the screaming stopped and beatings on the innocent door stopped.

Iggy and I high fived each other.

"And cut!" Dylan said.

I rolled my eyes and Iggy smacked him on the head. These next few hours were the moments that could define the rest of our lives.

Max POV

As soon as I got out of this room heads were going to roll. I didn't really realize that Fang and I were stuck in a room together until I had calmed down enough to think. The light was on so I could perfectly see Fang's expression of extreme irritation. He looked different.

"Are you growing a beard?" I blurted.

"Yeah, you like it?" He asked.

I winced. Should I be nice? Or should I be honest? Of course if Fang was a girl I would be nice because that's just girl code, but Fang was Fang. Instead of answering I actually laughed out loud. He looked like a a teenage cave man. If his beard got any longer he could probably star on Duck Dynasty.

"What?" He questioned.

"I'm surprised that Ella hasn't shaved it off while you were sleeping yet," I answered honestly.

There was a silence that fell between us, the sort of realization that we were trying to avoid talking about what had happened between us. We could make all the small talk we wanted, but nothing was going to change the fact that we had to work it out sooner or later. Even though I would prefer later, sooner would probably be better.

"There are a lot of things that I want to say," Fang piped up after a while.

"Well...looks like we have a lot of time," I pointed out.

"First of all, you don't think that I had anything to do with this, right?" He asked.

"No, you're not good enough at lying," I answered. "You know that I had no idea, right?"

He nodded. "When they shoved you in here you looked ready to kill."

"Oh, I'm ready to kill," I assured him. "As soon as that door opens again I'm going to fuck Iggy up."

"Well I can't really beat my sister up so I figure her boyfriend will do," he reasoned.

Here we were...still avoiding the real problem. We both knew that everyone did this because they were trying to do what's best for us. This had to be Ella's plan. She was the only one out of the three that was smart enough to come up with something like this. I knew that she wanted the best for Fang and I, but I had a feeling that pissing Fang off was a bonus.

"Sooo..." I said awkwardly.

"This is going to be a long night," he sighed.

So sorry I didn't get it up sooner!
