Author's Note:

Hello once again and welcome to the Epilogue!

This will tie up...Some loose ends...Some will be left for the following two books.

Hey guys, should I give the chapters in Book 2 titles or just keep them the way I do in Book 1 here? Please answer in your review.

This chapter shall contain POVs from Mint, Nightfang, and Duskstar.

Anyways, on to the story!

Epilogue:

Mint sighed as she stared at Birch, who was curled up next to her. He had grown muscled and sleek since they had become the leaders. and she couldn't help but admire him. He was not the timid cat who he used to be before the rebellion. His name was always held high, his eyes sharp. He was a natural leader once he was allowed some freedom. She felt a pang in her heart when she thought of what her Clan would think if they knew where she had gone, but she pushed it away. She couldn't leave Birch. It would completely break her heart.

She got up uncomfortably, grunting. She'd been feeling...off the last quarter-moon. As if she was beginning to catch something, which concerned her. With how many cats they still had with them, every bit of herb was needed. She shuffled her way out of the den, quietly walking down the rocky path from their den to the main clearing below. She slipped her way into her old, now-vacant during the night den. She wanted to give herself an examination. She had a possible theory as to what was the issue.

Mint laid down so that her underbelly and her legs were up in the air, somewhat awkwardly. She'd never really considered that one day she'd be checking herself to see if she was expecting. She lightly placed pressure in different places on her belly, pushing and shifting and feeling. She really thought about what this meant, and her breath caught in her throat.

She was going to have kits, and it seemed like it was more than one or two.

She got up carefully, now fully conscious of what she was carrying within her. She honestly never thought she would ever experience anything like this. Happiness began to swell up within her. She was having kits.

She was actually having kits!

Duskstar's POV:

Duskstar frowned as she glanced at the wounds she'd received from her fight with that stupid crazy rogue Nightfang. He deserved the loss of his mate. He abandoned the Clan when he would be a valuable warrior in their near-constant war against ShadowClan. Come to think about it, he would fit in just fine with those scoundrels. He would be a cowardly loser just like the rest of them.

She entered the camp and almost immediately was jumped by her son, who was nudging her and asking, "What happened mother? Where did you get those cuts?!"

She placed her tail on his shoulder, calmly mewing, "You're too young and too inexperienced. I need to talk with your father dear. Where is he?"

He bristled, insisting, "But you have to let me help, I'm a medicine cat now! You said you would need me!" She had to stifle a purr. He was so worried about her minor cuts. It was adorable. He'd be such a wonderful medicine cat once that old fool Jayfeather died.

She touched her nose to his cheek, softly murmuring into his ear, "You are only a medicine cat apprentice, Blackpaw. You will be needed for a lot once you've grown, but for now, you are here to learn. Now can you tell me where your father is?"

Blackpaw looked down at the ground, sulking, but mewed softly, "He's taking a nap in your den."

She licked his cheek, padding away, mewing, "Thank you sweetie!" Over her shoulder.

Nightfang's POV:

Nightfang growled at the area surrounding him.

He was back in StarClan, and he did not want to be here. StarClan allowed his mate to die. They allowed that monster to become the leader of his former Clan. They did not deserve him. Only his kits did. StarClan wouldn't take his kits either. They were his. He would not allow Starclan to use his own offspring for their ulterior purposes. He would die before he would allow his kits to be put into danger like that.

Suddenly, Willowbreeze appeared before him, a pitiful look in her eyes. Before she could say a thing however, Nightfang hissed, "What do you want? To ruin my life some more? Don't give me that look of pity!" His claws unsheathed and scraped across the clean grass beneath him, ripping it up and the soil beneath it. He wasn't going to allow Willowbreeze to calm him down, because there was no reason for him to calm down. His mate was dead.

Willowbreeze's eyes widened, and she took a step back, but she quickly recovered, narrowing her eyes and stepping forward, calmly mewing back, "Fine. If you don't want me to go easy on you, then I won't." She sighed, turning away from him, "If you don't try and return to at least one of the Clans, then...Duskstar's power will only grow. Without someone's interference, she will take over ShadowClan. Beyond that, we do not know."

Nightfang scowled. He wasn't going to be guilted into doing something that would endanger his kits. "Well then you StarClan cats will probably have quite the tough time with her, now won't you?" He didn't care if he was being cruel. He had snapped. He was done with all this torture. First Leaf, then his father, then his eye, then his own body was controlled, then he had to kill his brother, then he had to leave 'Mint' behind, and now his mate was dead. He was done with it all. He would lead a peaceful life with his kits even if others suffered. He had suffered enough for many lifetimes.

"Now if you'll excuse me," Nightfang mewed, "I must get back to my kits. Let me go."

Willowbreeze turned back around, pain in her eyes. She stared at him for a moment before dipping her head, mewing, "So be it. I wish you luck Night."

"Night?" He mewed, narrowing his eyes.

She glared at him, "If you won't save these Clans, then I will make sure you are never part of one ever again, in mind, body, or spirit. Now begone!"

Then it all faded.
