Previously….

Erica leant her elbows onto the edge of the table, her body slumping forward dejectedly. "I have nothing to give you Callie. I have nothing to give."

The room went quiet once more. Stalemate.

The sound of Callie's phone ringing broke the silence. Reaching into her pocket, Callie saw it was her mom calling. Rising from the table, she looked at Erica. "We need to get lawyers in place Erica. We have to get this in motion. As she backed out of the room to answer the call, she thanked the blonde for dinner and headed towards her bedroom.

Chapter 49

"Just heading in the shower babe. I'll be online in about 15. What a day!"

That was the text Callie had sent through to Arizona nearly 10 minutes ago. The blonde was sat at the small table in her hotel room. Her laptop was already open as she went through all of the photos from the previous 2 weeks. They had taken absolutely loads of them throughout Addison's trip over here. Only the best ones would make it to her facebook though.

Coming across a particularly sweet one of herself and Callie that had been taken the night they'd seen Dirty Dancing at the Starlight Theatre, she smiled. Her girlfriend was absolutely stunning. *Time to freshen up the old profile pic* she thought, clicking onto her facebook page, she clicked to change her profile picture. With her old one replaced, she went back to sorting through her photos.

She'd arrived in Las Vegas nearly 3hrs earlier. Flying over with Alex, she'd joined him for a quick bite to eat downstairs in the hotels restaurant followed by a couple of beers. It had felt good to get back into the routine of work. Sure she loved time off but she had plenty of that to come in a few weeks. Like she'd told Callie's dad last week, she loved her job. Especially the flights that ran as smoothly as the one over here did. Even though she hadn't had her bestfriend flying with her, Alex had made a decent enough replacement.

Teddy herself had been preparing to fly over to Italy the following day when Arizona had briefly spoken to her this morning. She had seemed in better spirits than the day before, much to the blondes relief.

A ping sounded, alerting her to someone signing into Skype. Knowing already that it would be Callie, she clicked on the app which confirmed her girlfriend was now online. Seconds later a box popped up.

"Hey you.."

A smile spread across the blondes face as she put her fingers to the keyboard. "Calliope 3 Busy day?"

"You could say that. It started off great. Thanks again for the flowers. They were beautiful."

"Don't mention it. I had a little help with that endeavour."

Callie's brows furrowed. "Oh really?"

"Mhmm. I may have messaged Mark on Facebook last night, asking him to go out and get you the biggest and most colourful bunch he could find. Then get to work before you this morning so they'd be there waiting for your arrival."

Callie's heart swelled. "You did that for me? Mark never let on that he had anything to do with it."

"Obviously he's a really good secret keeper. His thoughts were driving him crazy when I told him what to write on the card" the blonde typed with a grin.

"Yea, I got him up to speed with it."

"So, your day..?"

Expelling a long breath, Callie began to catch Arizona up on the days events. "So, I spoke to Richard at lunchtime. I've handed my notice in. I'm working 3 weeks then giving myself some time to make sure all loose ends are tied up. How does 8th July sound for moving day?"

Over in Vegas, Arizona clapped her hands together excitedly before she typed her reply. "The day before my birthday sounds AWESOME! Yay!"

"I had a feeling you'd approve. More about moving day later but I want to talk to you about something else first." The Latina typed out her talk with Erica in a nutshell. She knew Arizona would be pissed that her ex girlfriend had tried once again to make a move on her but she didn't want to keep it a secret. She didn't want any secrets in this relationship. Complete honesty was the way forward.

Arizona sat, relatively patiently as she'd watched the little box tell her Callie is typing. After a couple of minutes, the Latina's mini essay popped up in the box. She read over the text. Curiosity turning to disbelief which finally turned to anger. She knew it. She fricken well knew that that woman would try again to get Callie to change her mind and reconcile with her. She chewed on the inside of her cheek, trying to quell the frustration building up inside of her. Her eyes moved down to see that Callie was typing again.

"Zona, say something. I know it sounds bad but you know you don't have to worry, OK? Like I said, I've put her in her place….again!"

She didn't want to take her anger and yes, her little bit of jealousy out on Callie. It wasn't her fault that Erica didn't want to let her go so easily. If it were her, she'd do everything within her power to win Callie back. Ofcourse, she couldn't imagine ever giving Callie any cause to ever feel unloved, unattractive or unwanted. "I cant blame her for not wanting to let you go Cal. I couldn't think of anything worse."

Callie breathed a sigh of relief as Arizona's reply came through. "Phew, I thought you were going to be mad."

"Well I didn't say I wasn't mad. Definitely feeling some madness over here. I'm just saying I see where she's coming from. I already told you I don't like that you're back there with her. She's cooking you meals and trying to say all the right things to win you back. Don't get me wrong, I trust you 100% but it kind of makes me feel a bit sick."

That admission made the Latina feel awful. She imagined what she'd feel like if Arizona was living with an ex still. An ex that still cooked for her and kept trying to win her back. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to black out the images in her minds eye. She didn't like to imagine if the shoe were on the other foot. It had been bad enough when Lucy had been making advances on the blonde.

What else was she supposed to do though? She had to be here for the next few weeks. There was no where else to go. Cristina's place was too far away for her to commute back and forth to work everyday. Effectively, she was stuck.

Unless…

There was another bit of news that the Latina was yet to divulge to her girlfriend. "Maybe it would be better if I were to stay in a hotel for the rest of my time here…"

Arizona frowned. "Don't be silly Calliope. You cant afford to be throwing money away on a hotel for the next few weeks."

Callie hesitated. "What if I told you that perhaps I could afford it?"

"Huh?"

"Sooo, to round off my day, my mom called me a little while ago. It was just after I'd been talking to Erica. I told her pretty much everything I've just told you. Her immediate reaction was to just walk away. To drop everything, go home and stay with them for a few weeks. I told her I wasn't going to do that. I said there was still so much I needed to do here before I moved over to yours. I told her that Erica was going to struggle to give me any money and that I'd probably be moving my life over to Missouri with very little money behind me. That's when she told me I was wrong."

Arizona once again sat, relatively patiently as Callie continued to type about her day.

"It seems my parents have been putting money away for me, Aria and Luke since we were little. There's been a trust fund for each of us and…well, lets just say I don't really need to worry about money for a good while."

The blondes interest peaked. "Are you serious? Like…how much are we talking?"

"Umm, in excess of $70,000…" A smile tugged at Callie's lips as she continued to wait for Arizona to respond.

Meanwhile over in Vegas, the blonde was sat open mouthed looking at the last message Callie had sent. *$70,000? That was…wow…* she thought.

"Have you fainted over there or something…" Callie sent after Arizona still hadn't responded.

"Calliope… I'm literally sat here looking like I'm catching flies. That's how wide my mouth is right now. Just…. wow! I don't even know how to respond to that. My girlfriend is rich."

"Haha. Who knew?! I mean I know my parents have always been…comfortable, but I've never asked for anything. I've always wanted to make my own fortune without sponging off of them. Luke apparently already got his when he and his wife got their house. Aria is yet to settle down and I… well I walked away and did my own thing here in Seattle. I guess they thought I was too naive and juvenile to get it back then. I'd have probably blown it all away. Now they see how much I've matured, how ready I am to kick start my life and settle down. That's why they trust I'm ready for this."

"You're so amazing."

Callie laughed. "Just aswell I know you're not just with me for my money, huh?"

"True. There are so many other reasons why I want to be with you."

"There are? Like…?"

Arizona grinned. Her girlfriend was fishing for compliments. "Well, where do I start? You're the most beautiful women I've ever seen in my entire life. Like, super beautiful. You're passionate and protective. A great cook (which bodes well because I'm soooo bad). You're thoughtful, loyal and mostly, I love how you make me feel. The things you do and the things you say… you just make me feel so adored and special."

Callie bit her lip as she read over Arizona's words. After so many years of not feeling loved and wanted, she thought she'd never tire of hearing so many wonderful things said about herself. "You are special, so it's pretty easy.."

"I have my moments. I can be hard work at times which I'm sure in time, you'll come to realise."

"I can handle all you throw at me."

"I'll remind you of that one day."

The next evening, Callie was in her bedroom, packing up a couple of suitcases worth of clothes and essentials. After speaking with Arizona lastnight, she realised that moving out of the home she shared with Erica was the right thing to do. Not only did it ease Arizona's mind but the Latina realised it was better for herself and Erica if they weren't living under the same roof anymore. She didn't want to give Erica another opportunity to fight for them either.

She'd also spoken to her father this morning who had organised for her to stay in a hotel not far from her work. Being the owner of several hotels himself, he had connections and had made sure to secure an all inclusive room to last right up until the day she left for Missouri. Not only that, Carlos had told her he wanted to be there the day she moved over to Missouri. He'd felt he'd missed out on so much over the last 7 years and wanted to start to try and make up for it. He stressed how much he wanted to be apart of Callie's new beginning from the very start.

The bank was also now processing the money that would arrive in Callie's bank in a matter of days. Yep, things were definitely looking brighter day by day for the Latina.

"You're leaving?"

Callie turned and looked at Erica who was stood at her open bedroom door. "Yea, I…I thought it would be for the best if I didn't stay here anymore." The pain that crossed over Erica's face made Callie's heart sink.

"Were you even going to say goodbye?"

"Ofcourse. I wouldn't have left until you came home." She sat down on the edge of her bed. "We cant go on living together Erica. It's not healthy for us."

Erica leant her shoulder against the door frame. "Where will you go?"

"My dads organised a hotel for me to stay in until I move to Missouri. It's near to work so it's quite handy."

Erica nodded and looked to the floor. "I bet he's glad you're getting away from me.."

"He just wants to make sure I'm ok. He feels bad I think. He feels he's missed out on so much from the last few years."

"You mean like you've missed out on stuff?"

Callie shook her head. "I'm not talking about me Erica. I don't want to argue, OK? I'm just telling you how my father feels."

A silence passed over them. Callie was looking at Erica, but the blonde continued to look at the floor. "Erica, about the house. I'm just going to sign it over to you. I don't want any money so you don't have to worry, OK?"

Confused, Erica looked up, furrowing her brows. "You're just going to sign it over and leave, with nothing?"

The Latina nodded. "I'll be alright. My parents are helping."

The blonde looked at Callie. Thoughts of the times they shared together came flooding back to her in waves. She'd been so happy when they were first together but soon the doubt had crept in. She could never keep a woman like Callie interested. She'd been manipulative and unfair for so long. Callie was such a loving, honest and beautiful woman. She deserved better than what she had given her. She knew it. She knew she had to let her go. "I'll…I'll miss you, Callie" she said truthfully.

"I'll miss you too." She debated in her head for a few moments before eventually standing up and walking over to the blonde. Holding out her arms, Erica accepted the invitation and embraced the Latina. Callie rubbed the palm of her hand over Erica's back. "Everything is going to be OK, you know? One day, you'll look back at us and what we shared and it will make you smile. You wont think of the bad times or how it ended. You'll just cherish the good times. I know I will."

Tears fell freely down the blondes cheeks. She held onto the Latina, realising this could be the last time. "I know. I'm sorry I couldn't give you what you needed. No, what you deserved."

With one last squeeze, Callie pulled back. She held Erica at arms length, looking into her eyes. "We both tried. It just wasn't meant to be."

Backing herself out of the room, the blonde stopped as she passed the threshold. "Do you… do you think you and Arizona are meant to be?!"

Not wanting to gush on about how amazing Arizona made her feel, Callie simply nodded. "It's still quite early days but…she makes me happy."

With one last look, Erica forced a small smile. "Then I wish you a life time of happiness, Callie."

As the orchestra came alive, the audience went wild. They sprang to their feet, swaying and cheering as Celine hit the high notes in her performance of All by Myself. Arizona was amongst the crowd, on her feet, moving her body from side to side. She had goosebumps as the singer continued to hit each note with sheer perfection.

It had been a last minute idea to look for tickets at the Colosseum in Caesers Palace where one of her all time favourite singers, Celine Dion was currently in residency. She hadn't believed her luck when there had been a single seat available in the front orchestra. Her seat made for a perfect view of the stage. Being so close to the orchestra itself, she could literally feel the music vibrating through her.

With Alex wanting to spend a night gambling in the casinos, she'd been at a loss of what to do with her final night in Vegas. After seeing the singer advertised pretty much all over the city, she'd gone to the box office in hopes of being able to get in that night. Admittedly, the ticket price had been rather high, but it wasn't everyday you got to see a performance like this. Plus, after getting the ball in motion in regards to compensation for the crash she'd been in, it was looking extremely likely that she'd be receiving a decent sum of money somewhere in the next few months.

It seemed as though, going forward, both she and Callie were both going to be financially comfortable. She'd been letting herself daydream of a time in the future where they'd buy a nice big house, somewhere out of the city. Maybe some place closer to her parents and their detached home on the outskirts of town.

She felt so happy right now. Everything was coming together in her life. She had a good job, which she loved. She was financially stable, she had an amazing girlfriend who would be moving in with her in a matter of weeks and she was at a Celine fricken Dion concert. Could it get any better than this?! She really didn't think it could.

She'd spoken to Callie just before she'd come into the Colosseum. To say the Latina was jealous would be a complete understatement. However the blonde had promised to take her to see Celine one day in the future. She'd take her to see anyone her heart desired. Another reason the blonde was in such a good mood was the fact Callie had been packed and ready to head to the hotel she'd be staying in until she moved to Missouri. Knowing the Latina wouldn't be under the same roof as her ex any more made her feel alot more comfortable with their short term separation.

She wasn't used to being the jealous girlfriend. The feeling was definitely new to her. Really though, she knew she could have trusted Callie. It was just Erica and her persistent need to win the Latina back that had left her feeling uneasy.

As the song ended, the audience took to their seats as Celine began to talk to them. There was an air of confidence that just radiated from the singer as she engaged and had fun with the crowd. After another minute or so the next song started. The crowd cheered as the singer began the slow notes of I'm Alive. With this being one of Arizona's favourites, her first thought was of Callie. Grabbing her phone from her pocket, the blonde started up a video call. After a few moments, the Latina's face came on the screen. Arizona could see her lips moving but the music was far too loud to be able to hear anything. Instead, bringing the phone to her mouth, she shouted "I want you to share this with me" down the line before holding it up for Callie to watch along with her.

Over in Seattle, Callie smiled widely as she got up on the bed and made herself comfortable.

As the song continued, the blonde tried but failed miserably to keep the phone semi still as her body swayed with the music. She brought the phone to her mouth, joining in singing the lyrics. "You set my heart on fire. Filled me with love, made me a woman, on the clouds above. I couldn't get much higher. My spirit takes flight, cause I'm alive. When you call on me, when I hear you breathe, I get wings to fly, I feel that, I'm alive."

Callie laughed out loud as Arizona's out of tune voice sounded down the phone. As much as she wished she could be there with the blonde, she felt happy to be kind of part of the experience. Even if she was in a whole other state.

When the song neared its end and the crowd cheered, Arizona brought the phone to her face. "I cant hear you but I hope you enjoyed that Calliope. I'll ring you when I'm back at the hotel. Love you." Hanging up, she slipped the phone back into her pocket and joined in the cheering.

Everyone took their seat once more as Celine went off for a costume change, leaving the orchestra to play an instrumental version of my heart will go on. Feeling her phone buzz, Arizona slid it out of her pocket again.

"You're no Celine but you get 10/10 for effort. Enjoy the rest of the show. I love you more. xx"

Starting up a video call for the second time that evening, Arizona lay on the bed in her hotel room waiting for Callie to pick up the call. After a few rings, the Latina's face popped up on the screen. "There's my girl. Hi."

"You made it home ok then?'

"I did. Jumped in a cab, then in the shower and here I am."

Callie chuckled at the blondes dopey looking face. "Are you a little tipsy baby?"

"Mmm, I'm merry. I had such a great time, Calliope. She's amazing."

"I bet she is. For a woman in her 50's, she sure hasn't lost the knack for it."

"She really hasn't. She seemed like such a soft and friendly woman too. She'll have done countless shows but she still seems as though she enjoys every minute of each one." She stopped talking for a moment and smiled down the phone. "I miss you."

"I miss you too. I wish you were here with me tonight."

"I wish you were here with me. Look.." Arizona said, angling the phone to the empty space on the other side of the bed. "There's a Callie shaped hole in this bed."

"If I could be there, I would."

"Maybe I need to get on a plane and come see you this weekend."

"Are you not already going to New York this weekend?"

Arizona nodded. "I could see about getting it changed though. It should be doable. Infact, I'll make it happen. I need me some snuggles."

"Just snuggles?" Callie asked, flashing her flirty eyes.

"Snuggles and a good seeing to actually. Right now I'm a little drunk and horny." Callie's nostrils flared at the blonde's admission. "I think you need to be the same" she told the Latina before pushing the phone away from her face.

Before, all Callie had seen was the blondes face, but when the phone moved further away, she realised that her girlfriend was topless in bed as 2 breasts came into view. "Oh my" she breathed.

The phone tipped around as Arizona glided the front camera down her body, revealing she was in fact, completely naked. She let it hover over her mound while she bent her knees and spread her legs a bit wider. She couldn't see the screen from the angle she held the phone at but Callie had subconsciously licked her lips at the sight. "See anything here you like, Calliope?"

"I'll tell you when I get a better look…" came Callie's reply.

Grinning, Arizona took her left hand which had been resting on her stomach and slid it down between her thighs. Her index and middle finger spread her slightly lubricated lips apart, giving Callie a complete birds eye view of what she had to offer. "How about now?"

The Latina's mouth was literally drowning in saliva at the sight in front of her. "You have no idea how much I want to jump inside this phone and attach my mouth to you right now."

"You want to touch me?" The blonde said, beginning to rub her fingers over the top of her slit.

Callie's heart began to beat just that little bit faster. A tingle sensation made its way over her body, making its way down to her own centre. "I do, but I'm happy to watch you touch yourself for now."

Bringing the phone back up to her face, Arizona grinned down the camera. "I'll bet you would. I'll show you mine if you show me yours..?"

Callie didn't need to be asked twice. Putting the phone down, she removed her bed shorts and her tank top. Reaching around she removed a pillow from behind her, putting it at the bottom of the bed, between her feet. Picking up the phone again she balanced it so the blonde had a perfect view of between her legs. "This a better view for you?"

"Oh yea..' Arizona replied. Mimicking Callie's idea, she balanced her phone against a pillow between her legs. Her left, non casted hand went back to teasing her slit while the fingers on her right hand squeezed at her breast.

Back over in Seattle, Callie's eyes drank in the sight before her once more. Yea, she was definitely turned on right now. Her own hand slid along her slit where already her wetness was accumulating.

They watched eachother, neither saying a word, just continuing to pleasure themselves. It was Arizona that pushed a finger inside herself first. The deep moan that escaped her mouth made Callie shudder with excitement before she followed suit and slipped a finger between her own lips. "Oh fuck" she breathed.

Slow movements turned faster as time went by. Feeling her excitement build, Arizona pushed a second finger inside, making sure to brush against her clit at the same time. She curled the tips, brushing them against the sensitive part within that made her legs feel almost numb. The pleasure she felt attacked her body in waves, tension building by the second.

Seeing the blondes body move faster against the hand buried inside her, had Callie almost at the edge of her climax. "Zona, I'm…I'm…so close" she panted.

"Me too" the blonde replied. She pushed her head back into the pillow, her fingers thrusting faster between her lips. Moments later, she fell over the edge, her body tensing as an orgasm claimed her body.

The sight and incoherent words that spilt from the blondes mouth was all the encouragement Callie needed as she too reached her peak.

Coming down from their highs, they lay there, basking in the after glow and letting their breathing return to normal. Reaching down, Arizona grabbed her phone before turning on her side and bringing the phone closer to her face. "I needed that." She smiled lazily.

Reaching for her own phone, the Latina brought it to rest just under her breasts. "Me too, apparently. Best porn show I've ever seen." She winked before laughing at the screen.

"That was just the appetizer. Wait til I come over there this weekend and give you the main event."
