Chapter 26.2
What you truly did? Tamli asks.
That's right, I growl. I didn't knock Glaedr unconscious, I placed him in a never-ending nightmare!
What? Tamli questions.
I'm not sure how it happened, I was just deceasing the amount of energy that I would release for my Shadow Blast, unless . . .
Unless what?
Unless I forgot that once I'm enraged, I can't control my Shadow Blast, I sigh.
I break my connection from Tamli as Saphira attempts to roast me with her flames.
Watch it Saphira! I growl as I open my wings and leap into the air.
I begin to climb and then, once I feel that I've gone high enough, I fold my wings in slightly and come toward her. Saphira barely dodges my swift attack. She growls and leaps into the air. I dodge another blast of flames from her and go into a downward spiral, one of my better techniques. I whip past the ground and launch myself upward to collide with Saphira.
She can't dodge this, I think as I slam into her.
She shrieks in pain and surprise and saves herself before she crashes to the ground.
You are most impressive, she mutters.
As are you, I growl. But do not blame me for what occurred to Glaedr.
Why not? Saphira asks.
I was enraged, I wasn't in control of my powers, I snap.
That isn't a good enough response, Saphira growls.
I struggle against my natural response to that kind of insult, a full power blast of Shadow. I curl my claws and narrow my yellow eyes.
Normally I would harm you for saying that but I will let it go for today, I mutter.
Saphira seems to pay no heed to what I have said. A sharp growl comes from behind my clenched teeth.
Do not just ignore me! I roar.
Saphira growls at my remark.
You do not belong here, she growls before she flies off.
