Chapter 54

"What are they going to do?" Daniel asked fearing the worst. No one answered him. "Gold!" he shouted.

"Kill him. It's their only choice in the matter," Gold said matter-of-factly. "Like dear old dad and son, they will have to be eliminated."

"We have to stop them," Regina said. "I can do it. They don't need to know how it feels to take a life," she reasoned.

"Henry wouldn't let them go that far," Rachel said optimistic.

All four of them stood over his body debating whether to go through with actually killing him. "Erica, please calm down," John said urgently.

Her eyes went back to normal and looked at her younger brother. "I'm calm but it doesn't negate what I have to do."

"You're not a killer. It's not what we do," Jacob protested. Erica narrowed her eyes.

"I've lived by that rule for years. What are we supposed to do? Send him to prison. I tried that and looked at the result. No, I have to do this and if you don't want to help me, I understand," she said.

They looked at each other knowing this could end in one way. "Fine. We'll do it together," Henry said. "John, Jacob…join in with Erica." He grabbed Terrence by the collar and held him up.

"What are you going to do to me?" Terrence asked.

"What I should have done the first time," Erica replied taking out his heart. She squeezed causing him to scream out in pain.

"Stop please!" he begged. However she didn't stop and her vision was getting blurry due to the tears forming. She felt someone take the heart. She looked over to see Jacob take it and finish the job.

Henry felt the body go limp and dropped him to the ground. He looked at siblings. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah," Erica said.

"I need to finish this," John interjected. He immobilized Terrence's body and hovered his hand over the body. It turned to dust.

Their attention was diverted by Kimberly barging into the house. "Henry!" she yelled. She came into the living room gun drawn.

"There's no need for that Detective," Jacob said. "He's not here," he continued.

"Where is he?" she asked.

"Gone," Henry replied. "He can't hurt anyone anymore. It's over." Kimberly looked at them understanding that he was dead.

"You killed him," she stated. Erica looked at her.

"Let it go," she said calmly. "We can all go home now."

"Detective, I trust things will be kept quiet," Henry said.

"Of course. Nobody is going to believe me anyway," she stated. "Go. They are all waiting for you."

The four grabbed hands and magicked to Henry's apartment. Everybody looked at the purple smoke in the middle of the room waiting anxiously.

Regina went straight for Erica and kissed the side of her head. "My baby. You're alright." She pulled away a little and held her face in her hands. "I'm so glad you're okay."

Erica smiled. "I'm fine mom. He can't hurt us," she whispered. Dread flooded Regina but she kept it hidden. Erica's eyes landed on Daniel.

"Hey daddy," she said. Regina stepped back as he engulfed her in a tight hug.

"Hey sweet pea."

"Erica," Mark called out. She stepped out of Daniel's embrace and went to Mark. She hugged him and forced back tears.

"Where's Terrence?" Rachel asked. Henry looked at Regina and Gold before answering.

"He's gone," he simply said. Gold smirked and Regina cut her eyes at him.

"Are you all ok?" she questioned.

"We're fine mom," Erica said hoping they wouldn't have to talk about this anymore today. Regina nodded her head in understanding.

"I would like to go home. To Storybrooke," she said.

"We will leave when you're ready," Daniel assured.

"Give me a couple of hours to straighten everything out," Erica said.
