With June and Caitlin

The second she fell off the building, June closed her eyes. After a few seconds, she felt someone grab her. June quickly opened her eyes and saw Caitlin holding onto her. Caitlin grabbed her grappling gun and shot it. Once it hooked onto whatever it needed to grab, Caitlin managed to swing them towards another roof top.

They both tumbled on the roof top. June bit her lip and cursed violently as she felt and heard her shoulder smash onto the roof. Caitilin scrambled to her and clicked handcuffs in place.

June groaned and sat up, testing her bound wrists with a wince of pain. She rolled her shoulders, testing them out. Okay, so they weren't dislocated, on the bright side. Shadow stood over her with a smug sort of look, one that June found rather annoying.

"Ah, sorry, but I don't really have the time to go to prison so-" June swung her arms under her legs so her arms were in front of her. "But hey, lucky you, you get to live."

Caitlin gave her a confused looked as gripped her stomach and side, the adrenaline rush disappearing and the pain returning. Renegade unhooked the handcuffs, got them off and walked over to the edge of the building as she grabbed her quiver.

"Hold on a minute." June turned around and looked at her older cousin.

"Who sent you after me? I know you were ordered to kill me. But who sent you?" She asked she started to wince from the pain she was feeling. Renegade gave a sly smirk.

"Easy. It was the Light." Renegade then fired an arrow with a rope attached to it. She grabbed the rope and disappeared. Once she was gone, Caitlin put her finger up to her comm link.

"Shadow to Nightwing."

"Nightwing here." She heard her older brother say.

"I need help now. I'm sending coordinates."

"Received and on my way. Just hang tight." He said. The comm link then went dead. Caitlin went down on her knees and groaned in pain. She then started to feel light headed and everything went black as she fell forwards.

With June

"I'm sorry, but I was unable to complete my mission. The cape saved me," June explained.

"Hm, very well." Deadshot looked a bit peeved, but nodded nevertheless.

"I did manage to wound her, which gets her out of our hair for a while," June looked around, "Uh, where's Bart?"

Deadshot looked solemn. "I'm sorry, Juniper, but whatever mental set up Psimon did didn't last."

June's eyes widened. "What? He-he's back with those heroes?!"

He nodded. How could that happen? What was he thinking? He cant leave her alone on their mission! She is sooo going to kill him when this is all over. But the way she injured Cay was something she couldnt get out of her mind. She sliced her side and stabbed her! How is she going to live with that?

Bart had taken one of the two ways they couldn't have gotten out of the situation. This one, however, seemed worse than the alternate. He had left her in the middle of a vital mission. He could have blown their cover! Gotten themselves killed! He could have thought of any other plan, but he decides to leave her alone with her deadbeat dad and the Light?

"June!"

"Huh what?"

"I asked you a question."

"I was staring off into space. What was the question again?"

"What do you want for dinner?" That's what he really asked? Something for dinner?

"I don't really care." Deadshot rolled his eyes.

"I had a feeling you would say that." He said as he turned and walked away.

June sighed, deciding she wasn't hungry before changing into pajamas. She slipped into bed, missing cluddling with Bart.

He was SO dead when all this was over. June slowly closed her eyes and went to dreamland.

With Caitlin

Caitlin woke up to the sound of a machine beeping. She slowly opened her eyes and saw that she was in a white room.

"Look she's waking up." Someone said. She could almost recognize that voice. She looked towards the direction of the voice and saw Black Canary. She also saw Nightwing, Green Arrow, Batman and some of the team members.

"Cay are you alright?"

"Dick?... Where am I?"

"You're in the medbay at the Mountain. You lost a good amount of blood. What happened?"

"That Renegade chick tried to kill me. She managed to slice my side and stab me." She looked around and saw that Jaime wasn't in the room. Where could he be?

"I'm sorry I couldn't get there sooner. You almost slipped into a coma." A coma?! Maybe she lost more then a good amount of blood.

"What was the last thing you remember?" Green Arrow asked. Man they were asking so many questions. Can't they understand that she's injured?

Caitlin groaned, clutching her throbbing head. "She-she fell off the roof, and I saved her. We swung to another roof, and she hit her shoulder I think... She was cursing from pain. I handcuffed her, but she moved her arms under and around her legs so they were in front of her."

"Not many people can do that." Nightwing said, his tone rather impressed.

"Well, she said she'd let me live... And then she just disappeared."

"She said she would let you live?" Batman asked looking a little surprised.

"I had saved her. She had fallen off the building during the fight and I caught her. That's why she let me live."

Batman nodded in understanding. "Debt. You saved her, she lets you live. It's an honor code of sorts."

Caitlin tried to sit up but someone stopped her. She looked over and saw Black Canary. She was giving her a look that said 'don't even try' and Caitlin laid back down.

"Where's Jaime?" Everyone then looked at each other.

"We haven't seen him for about a couple days. He's probably at home." Superboy said looking a little concerned. He looked really worried about Caitlin. She was like a little sister to him and she ended up growing on him over the years when they were younger.

"Really?"

"Yeah but we'll send him the message that he needs to come see you." Robin said with a small smile. He then received a smile back from his older sister.

"Thanks. How you feeling, Robin?"

Robin sneezed. "Better."

Recognized Flash 03, Impulse B-15

A red streak burst into the room, carrying someone.

"Bart!" Caitlin said in surprise.

"What happened?" Batman demanded immediately, hooking the young speedster up to an IV.

"Bart- Central City- Kaboom!- speed force- tried to kill me- HELP HIM!"

Green Arrow quickly grabbed Bart from Flash's arms and hooked him up to an IV in the bed next to Caitlin's. Flash then sat down in a chair and started to breath very heavy.

"Flash are you alright?" Black Canary asked him as she walked over to him with some snacks. She could tell that it must have been hours since he has last eaten. Caitlin looked at her Barry with worried eyes. He was like a uncle to her. Then she looked at Bart. She couldn't even describe how beat up he looked.

Despite hating Bart initially, she had to admit that Bart had grown on her. June certainly had chosen well... Caitlin shook her head at the thought of her late cousin.

"Is he going to be alright?"

"He should be. Just get him enough nutrients, and he'll live."

"Thank god." Barry said. He was glad that his grandson was going to be able to live. He just needed food. Caitlin was also glad that Bart was going to be ok. Flash then started to get the snacks Black Canary gave him. He could already feel the energy running through his body.

"Cay, why don't you get some rest?" Nightwing said.

"Good idea." Everyone then left the room so Caitlin could sleep.

Bart awakened hours later, his first thought being: 'June is gonna kill me'

Flash burst in. "Bart! Hey, you alright?"

"Yeah... What happened?"

Flash frowned. "You don't remember?"

Bart never liked lying. Especially to the people he cared about. "I-I remember Renegade and Deadshot... And then they had Psimon come, I think he manipulated my mind."

Flash's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Get some rest-"

"No way, gramps." he grinned, "I need to go out for a run, you know, stretch my legs."

"Well..."

"I'll even keep a tracker on me." he promised.

"Fine." Flash relented, "But right back to bed when you get back. And only a five minute run around North America." Bart zipped out of the room, right into Bludhaven where his girlfriend was sleeping in bed. He kissed her on the cheek.

"Wakey wakey, Junie." He got a harsh slap in return. "Ow that's not crash at all. Man it stings."

June sat up and glared at him. "Good! You deserve it Bart."

"Look I'm sorry ok? I couldn't do it." Bart said as he looked down, disappointed in himself. He knew he wouldn't be able to do it.

"You couldn't do it? I was forced to stab my own cousin and make up a plan to keep her alive and have my cover not blown! How could you do that to me?!" Man she sounded pissed.

"June look I know I'm sorry please." He begged.

June stubbornly turned away, but not before Bart caught sight of a tear. Aw, man, now he felt really bad... "June, I'm really sorry but I didn't have any other choice, I couldn't think of anything else-"

"Yeah, fast on your feet, not so much with your brain, Allen."

"Oh, we're using the last name card now, aren't we, Moore?" he asked in a teasing and joking manner. This only seemed to infuriate her further.

"For god's sake, Bart, get serious for once in you life!" She exploded, "Do you know how you could have jeopardized our mission! Not only for us, but for Kaldur and Artemis too! They could have died, I could have died, YOU could have died!" Her voice cracked slightly, and tears began rolling down her cheeks. Bart wrapped her in a hug from behind, but she shoved him off.

"June... I'm so sorry." He said. He noticed that his voice has cracked a little bit.

"No... no your not. If you were really sorry then you wouldn't have pulled a stunt like that Bart. Just go." She said as pointed towards the door. He couldn't believe they just had their first fight.

"Alright. I'll leave, but I want you to be careful ok?" When he didn't hear a response, Bart zoomed back to the Mountain with a heavy heart.
