I do not own any of the characters from Dirty Dancing.
I only own the storyline and the characters I made up in this story.
Hope you'll enjoy the story and leave me a review anytime you want.
Thank you!
"Come boys." Jake said as he stood at the table. Billy and Johnny looked up at him.
"We'll be doing some games and have a nice coffee before we go prepare." Jake said with a smile. Johnny and Billy stand up. Pete stood behind Jake with a smile. Catherine comes with the other guests.
"Dad, I hope you won't lose too much money now with these extra free days." Johnny said as they followed Jake to the terrace. Pete looked at his son and smiled.
"No, I explained it to your uncle and he told me that he even would pay me these days. He said that I work way too hard lately." Pete said, Johnny laid his arm around his father's shoulder who smiled at him.
"Guess that runs in the family." Johnny said and Pete chuckled.
"I guess it does, but I'm saving, for the little one. I wanna help with providing for the studies." Pete said and Johnny smiled at him.
"You know dad, you don't have to do that. Grandparents should spoil their grandkids." Johnny said with an amusing smile on his face, looking at Jake now as they sit down at a table. Pete laughed.
"Yeah, well, I know that and I certainly will try to spoil it but I guess that part will mostly come from grandpa Jake and grandma Marge." Pete said, Jake laughed as he has been listening to them.
"Of course, but it rather be from Marge though I think we also will be saving for the studies." Jake said as Neil came to them to check on them.
"I'm sure the baby will never be short on anything." Billy stated and they smiled.
"Are you comfortable here?" Neil asked and they look at him. Johnny still feels somewhat tensions when he sees Neil, even though it's unnecessary.
"Sit down boy." Jake said and offered Neil a chair, who politely accepted the offer.
"Are you nervous Johnny?" Neil asked and looked at him.
"A lot less now, after Baby needed to reassure me that she won't run away." Johnny said, making them all chuckle a little. It went silent for a moment.
"So, what are you doing lately Neil?" Jake asked to make a conversation going. They know how much Neil loves to talk about himself, so Jake put the subject on him.
"I had planned on a freedom ride after last Summer, that ended after two months because of some friends were making trouble everywhere we went. I had to say it, I thought it would be really excited but it was nothing of the sort. I thought I was wild and that girls ran after me all the time, but those two months made me realize otherwise." Neil said.
Johnny's surprise is quite big to hear this coming from Neil, he looked at Billy and could see his surprise as well, though they both kept silent about it.
"When I came back home, I told my parents that I was ready to step in Max's shoes." Neil said with a smile.
"Are you taking over soon?" Jake asked, when a waiter came with coffee for the men.
"I'm already taking over, Max is officially only boss of the resort by name. I'm doing all the rest now." Neil said with a smile.
"And how is it?" Pete asked curiously now. Johnny sipped the coffee with a smile.
"I'm making changes, trying to modernize the resort, you know going with the time. Max just wanted to arrange everything for the wedding, he insisted that he did it so I'm letting him." Neil said and looked at Johnny with a smile.
"It's not every day that an old employee marries here at the resort." Neil added and for the first time Johnny could see a genuine smile on his face.
Johnny's looked closely at his face and then gives Neil a little smile back.
"No girl yet then Neil?" Billy asked out of the blue. Neil chuckled and shakes his head.
"No, but I'm liking someone for some time now. Though, I haven't seen her since last Summer." Neil said and Johnny sits straighter when hearing that. Neil looked at Johnny, still smiling.
"It's not Baby, don't you worry Johnny." Neil said and Billy chuckled a little.
"Who is it?" Jake asked. Neil looked at him again and took a deep breath.
"Your oldest, she intrigues me a lot. Lately she got into my mind and never left." Neil said and looked at Billy.
"And I always thought that Billy liked her a lot." Neil said, Billy only smiled.
"I did, until I met Vanessa." Billy said with a wink. Johnny only smiled and looked at Billy, they know the truth but couldn't say anything. It's up to Lisa and Penny to decide if they want to tell their news.
"Don't pressure it Neil. If it's not Lisa, then you will meet someone who will fit with you. I never thought I would ever say this, but love can happen everywhere." Jake said with a wink at Johnny who only smiled.
"That is so true." Pete said with a smile.
"You men coming for a game or not?" Catherine asked as she looked at them with a smile. Billy stands up and walked to her.
"What game?" Jake asked curiously as he and the rest stands up as well.
"I'll be going now, checking if preparations are going well." Neil said and walked away.
"Horse shoes. The winner gets the best seat at the ceremony." Catherine said with a chuckle.
"That means that Johnny is out of the game." Billy said and they laugh a bit.
"That's alright, I'll watch and root for Billy." Johnny said in a teasing way, making Pete chuckle and the rest looked at him in the way that they accepted the challenge. Not that Billy needs the best seat, since he's Johnny's witness.
The game was a little distractive for Johnny, but he's already missing her. He sighs and looked around. He sees Lisa arriving and smiled a little, he nudges Billy and Billy sees Lisa as well.
"Oh wow, Penny is right." Billy whispered and Johnny chuckled.
"She looks so much better indeed, no more doll, a real woman now. I think someone will be very happy to see her again." Johnny whispered, they both chuckled a little and Jake looked at the two.
"What's so funny?" He asked and they look at him.
"Oh just a little inside joke between us. Your oldest has arrived." Johnny said and Jake turned his head. He smiled as he sees Lisa coming.
"Hey Lissy, you look very beautiful. What have you done?" He asked as Lisa hugs him while smiling.
"Hey dad, how are you? How's mom? I've done nothing much dad, just using a lot less make-up now and dress more mature. I must say, it feels so much better, I don't feel like I need to be on the foreground anymore." Lisa said, Jake smiled as he grabs her head.
"You are beautiful Lissy, inside and out. How's school?" He asked.
"Great! I got an A for the visagie lesson, next week I have an exam for pedicure and manicure." Lisa said and let her father go. She looked at Johnny and Billy and gives them a hug as well.
"It's good to see you again." Lisa said and they smiled. Then she looked around, of course to see if she could see Penny. Johnny smiled and it feels good to see that someone is looking for his best friend.
"She's with Baby and Marge, preparing for the ceremony. I guess you should join them as well." Johnny said to answer her searching eyes and wandering mind. She looked at him and smiled.
"Thanks, I will go then." She said with a smile.
"It's the cabin we had last summer Lissy." Jake said with a smile, wondering what's going on. He has seen the look exchanges and seen how Lisa was looking around. Lisa gives her father a kiss on his cheek and walked away.
"Lisa has changed so much, I wonder what's going on." Jake said as Pete stands next to him.
"She's in love Jake, it's obvious." Pete said and Jake looked at him.
"You think? I wonder with who." Jake said while thinking.
"No idea, but it's kinda obvious. She goes from a doll to a mature woman, that's a huge transformation." Pete said and pats Jake's shoulder. Jake looked at Johnny and Billy.
"Let's go boys, let's get ready." Jake said and they nodded. They followed Jake to a cabin that Max made sure they could use to get ready.
