Alright everyone, time for Blackheart to convince the Imperials to form a truce!

Chapter 53

Blackheart was standing in front of Jarl Elisif along with everyone in the throne. As Elisif sat there furious, Blackheart said "I know what you are all thinking."

"Damn right we do," Tullius said, "We were ready to have you execute until those Draugrs appeared and ruined everything."

"Really?" Blackheart asked, "I just saved Solitude from a bat-shit crazy necromancer!"

"For that, we thank you," Elisif said, "But now we want to know to truth. Now tell us, who are you? Really."

Blackheart took a deep breathe and said "Everything I said to you was the truth."

Mephala said "Partly."

Blackheart looks at his Dragon Gauntlet and said "You're not helping."

Sybille said "Tell us the truth."

"Fine," Blackheart said, "The thing is…my name is Jonathan, but I hardly use that name anymore. I go by the name Blackheart."

"Blackheart?" Rikke said.

"Yes," Blackheart said, "And where I am from, I wasn't lying about that. I am from the Capital Wasteland, but as you know, it is not from around here."

"Obviously," Falk Firebeard said, "You said that it is nowhere in the map."

Blackheart shook his head and said "That is not what I mean."

Before anyone could ask, Blackheart said "The real reason you can't find it is because…it is located in…another world."

Everyone's eyes widen. When someone was about to say something, Blackheart said "That's right. I am from another dimension."

"What?!" everyone shouted.

Elisif said "Y-Y-You're from another world? Like Oblivion?"

"Something like that," Blackheart said.

Tullius then said "If you are from another world, then why did you help Ulfric?"

Blackheart looks at him and said "My world works a whole lot different than Skyrim. There are no laws or rules in the Capital Wasteland. It is full of death, chaos and destruction. There are a lot of dangers in the Wasteland: Raiders, Ghouls, Super Mutants and a lot of mutated creatures. It a kill or be killed rule."

"Then how is saving Ulfric related to anything?" Rikke asked.

Blackheart replied "I save a lot of people in the Wasteland from danger. Seeing the Headsman ready to kill Ralof, I just went by instinct and saved him. As for Ulfric, I did not know that he escaped. I was focus on escaping from Alduin."

"Alduin?" Rikke said, "The World Eater? What are you taking about?"

"Remember that dragon at Helgen?" Blackheart said, "As it turns out, that dragon was really Alduin."

"What?!" everyone shouted.

Falk Firebeard said "You mean that the dragon that attacked Helgen was Alduin himself?!"

As Blackheart nodded, Elisif said "Torygg has told me about Alduin. He said that he is The Bringer of the End Time."

Rikke then said "Then that's why he is here. Only the Dragonborn can truly defeat Alduin."

"Oh I don't plan on defeating him," Blackheart said, "When I get the chance, I am going to kill him! It's because of him that he destroyed my armor!"

"Armor?" Tullius said, "What armor?"

Blackheart replied "The armor that I was wearing when I arrived at Helgen."

Tullius said "You mean that you were wearing armor?"

Blackheart said "Yeah, it was indestructible, enhanced my body and allowed me to turn invisible."

"And what about your weapons?" Rikke asked, "I have never seen your weapons before."

Blackheart said "In my world, even though it is in complete chaos, the technology is advance. Weapons, armor, you name it."

"Amazing," Elisif said.

"Don't be," Blackheart said, "It's because of technology that sent my world into chaos. People created weapons that can wipe out entire cities in a matter of seconds. And that was almost hundred of years ago."

Everyone was shocked at this. Blackheart said "My world is the 'Aftermath of Judgment Day', a living hell."

"By the Eight," Elisif said in a terrified way.

"I don't get it," Tullius said, "If your destiny is to defeat Alduin, then why are you here?"

Blackheart said "You are not going to like it, but I fought Alduin and lost. And now he went to Sovngarde to eat on dead souls. In order to get to Sovngarde, I need to lure one of his followers to Whiterun to trap them. And I can't do that without worrying that Whiterun will be invaded by the Stormcloaks or the Empire. So in order to do that, I need to form a negotiation between you and the Stormcloaks."

"Oh no no no!" Tullius said, "We are not going to form a truce with those traitors!"

Blackheart thought about and said "So you're saying that you would rather get destroyed by the God of Destruction than form a truce with Stormcloaks."

As Tullius nodded, Blackheart said "Great, now the whole world is fucked."

He then said "Listen, Alduin is up there eating all your friends who died from your war. You can at least suck in your pride and go through with this truce."

"General," Rikke said, "He is right. What he say is true and all of our allies are being consumed by Alduin, then we have to do this."

Tullius sighed and said "Alright."

He turns to Blackheart and said "I am still upset at you for ruining Ulfric's execution."

"Oh come on," Blackheart said, "Get over it already."

As Rikke shook her head, she said "Where are the negotiations going to be held at?"

Blackheart replied "High Hrothgar."

"The Greybeards' Sanctuary?" Rikke asked, "You're really planning on holding the negotiations in High Hrothgar?"

Blackheart nodded and said "It was the Greybeards' idea."

"Alright," Tullius said, "Once we get everything calm, we will head out to High Hrothgar."

Blackheart nodded and said "Great, as for me, I am going to get some rest. After all that action I am tired."

Falk Firebeard then said "That reminds me, since you have saved Solitude, we would like to give you this."

Just then, a guard brought Blackheart a red wooden shield with a wolf head on it. When Blackheart got the shield and puts it away, he said "Thanks. Now if you excuse me, I need some rest."

With that, Blackheart headed to the Winking Skeever to get some rest. Once he paid the bar owner he went to the room and laid on the bed. Mephala then said "That was an interesting turn of events. I never thought you escape from getting your head cut off."

"Yeah," Blackheart said, "Don't remind me."

"Maybe this will cheer you up," Mephala said, "I found the missing item we need for the Atronach Forge."

Blackheart's face lit up, sat up and said "What do we need?"

Mephala replied "We need something called the Sigil Stone. Without it, one will just use it to summon Daedra or create any scrolls or books to summon them. But with the stone, you can create or alter any weapon or armor into Daedric Weaponry."

"Great," Blackheart said, "Where is it?"

"That's the thing," Mephala said, "There is none in Skyrim or anyone else. They are only located in Oblivion and only one person posses them."

Blackheart said "Okay, who has the Sigil Stone?"

Mephala replied "That would be Mehrunes Dagon, the Lord of Destruction."

"Are you serious?" Blackheart asked, "Are we planning on asking him?"

Mephala said "Nope. He has intense anger issues. Dagon is still mad at his failure to take over Tamriel. He isn't talking to anyone since all of us were annoying him about it."

"Great," Blackheart said, "Thanks for screwing me over."

He then said "There has to be another way to get that stone."

"I'll see what else I can find," Mephala said.

Blackheart nodded and he fell asleep.

There was a knock on Blackheart's door at 8 at night. Blackheart moaned and got out of bed. When he was near the door, he said "Can anyone get some sleep around here?! Who the hell is it?!"

When he opened the door, he was in complete shock. For the person was none other than Elisif. Blackheart was stunned to see her at this time of night. Blackheart then said in an awkward way "Oh…hey. What's going on?"

Elisif then said "May I come in?"

Blackheart asked in a suspicious way "Um…okay."

When Blackheart allowed Elisif to enter, he said "So…why are you here?"

Elisif took a deep breathe and said "I am here to apologize."

As Blackheart was shocked at Elisif's sudden apology. Mephala then said "That is unexpected."

"Ignore her," Blackheart said, "Why are you apologizing?"

Elisif said "It's just the way I have treated you. When I heard that you helped Ulfric escape, I just got furious at you for that."

Blackheart shook his head and said "Don't be. If I was in your situation, then I too will be mad at the person who killed the person close to me."

"You may be from another world," Elisif said, "But you don't know how it feels like to lose someone you love."

"You're wrong," Blackheart said, "I do."

As Elisif's eyes widen, Blackheart said "My father died right in front of me. He sacrificed his life to save me. But the man who died along with him survived and tried to get information from my parent's life work. And when I met him again, I may him suffer before he died."

"What did you do?" Elisif asked in a worried way.

Blackheart thought about it and said "I dismembered all his limbs and then burned him alive."

Horrified, Elisif said "That's horrible."

Blackheart laughed and said "I know, it was epic."

He then looks at her and said "Would you do something like that?"

Elisif shook her head and said "I don't think I'll have the stomach to do such barbaric act."

Blackheart shrugs and said "I can deal with it. The Wasteland can change a person in a surprising way."

There was a moment of silence when Elisif said "Jonathan, I know that I said I would make you Thane. But after everything that has happen, you lost that opportunity."

"What?" Blackheart said in a disappointed way, "Ah man. I was hoping to become a Thane for the third time."

Mephala whispered "Wait for it."

Before Blackheart said anything, Elisif said "But if you still want the title, then I have an important favor to ask."

Interested, Blackheart said "Sure, what is it?"

Elisif took a deep breathe and said "When my husband died, we prayed to all Eight Divines for his soul. All except for one."

"One?" Blackheart asked.

Elisif nodded and said "Before, there were Nine Divines. Talos was a Nord who ascended to the heaven and became part of the Divines. But thanks to the White-Gold Concordat, the Thalmors banned the worship of Talos."

"Talos," Blackheart said, "Yeah, Ulfric mentioned that guy. What does this have to do with your favor?"

At that moment, Elisif took out a war horn with the Amulet of Talos wrapped around it and said "This war horn use to belong to my husband. He always has it when he goes to battle."

As she extends her arms as if she was giving the horn to Blackheart, she said "If you can, find a statue of Talos somewhere the Thalmor can't find one and place it."

When Blackheart got it, he said "Don't worry. I'll be sure to find one."

As Elisif smiled, he said "Well…I need to get going. Need to have my stuff ready."

Blackheart nodded and said "Alright. See you later then."

Elisif smiled and left the room. Once she was out of sight, Mephala said "Looks like she is starting to like you."

Blackheart looks at the Dragon Gauntlet and said "What are you talking about?"

Mephala said "One minute she hated you and now she apologized. And all this while she is Jarl? That is saying something."

Blackheart shook his head and said "Let's just go to bed."

With that, Blackheart went back to bed and went to sleep, waiting for a new day to come.

The next morning, Blackheart awoken from his sleep and stretched. When he looks at the time, it was already 9. After getting dressed in his armor, he left the Winking Skeever and made his way to the Blue Palace. Once he got there, he saw Elisif, Tullius and Rikke standing near the entrance. When they saw him, Tullius said "So…look who it is."

Blackheart replied "Spare me your speeches. Are we ready?"

Elisif shook her head and said in a harsh way "We are waiting for someone."

Curious, Blackheart asked "Who?"

At that moment, the door behind him opened. When Blackheart turns around and sees the Thalmor Ambassador Elenwen standing right behind him. There was a brief moment of silence when Blackheart said "What the hell is she doing here?"

Tullius said "She is to come with us. As part of the White-Gold Concordat, she will be part of the negotiations."

Elenwen said "You don't expect to go though this without me."

Blackheart sighed and said "Great, that is the last thing we need."

Elenwen said "Either way, you have no choice."

"If that is all," Tullius said, "We should start going."

Suddenly, Sybille's voice said "Wait up."

When they all turned, they saw her rushing towards Blackheart with two books in her hands. Once she was near him, Sybille said "Take these spell books. It will help you defend the Jarl better in combat."

As Blackheart took the books, he saw that the books were the spells Frostbite and Spark. When he opens the books one at a time, Blackheart learned the Sparks and Frostbite Spells! After he absorbed the spells, he said "Thanks, I'll be sure to use them."

He then turns to Elisif and the others and said "Let's go. The sooner we got to High Hrothgar the better."

Once they all agreed, they left the Blue Palace and made their way to the entrance. Along the way, Blackheart remembered something and said "Before we go to the Greybeards, we need to stop by Whiterun."

Everyone looks at them and Rikke said "Why do we need to go to Whiterun?"

Blackheart replied "We need to pick up a few people along for the negotiations."

"And who are these people?" Elenwen asked.

Blackheart said "Well, there is Lydia my Housecarl, M'aiq the Lair, Torlak the Orc and Serana."

"Why do they have to come?" Elenwen asked.

Blackheart said "Because they are my friends and after the negotiations, we are going to somewhere else."

Elenwen rolled her eyes and said "Ugh, this will waste time. But fine, you can gather your friends."

When they exited Solitude, Blackheart, Elisif, Tullius, Rikke and Elenwen all made their way to Whiterun so that they can rejoin with Blackheart's companions and head to High Hrothgar to proceed with the negotiations.

A little boring here, but I hope you all enjoy this chapter. Until then, please review!
