Galuna Island Arc
Part VI: End

The Village

The feast was indeed, a real feast. So much so that even with Natsu and Happy, there was still plenty left over for the rest to munch on. Just like before, everyone was doing something different in the party. Ichigo and Erza were at a table of their own, discussing something. Lucy was off to the side, wondering what the next step in her novel should be. Gray decided to relax with his food in his hands on a chair to the back of the room, steeped in his own thoughts. Karin and Yuzu were their father with drinks in their hands and having some small talk while Yoruichi

Ichigo didn't even know how he got pulled into this… Initially he just wanted some food and relaxation like Gray, but then Erza suddenly comes along and pulls him by his collar to their seat, demanding information. Understandably so. After all, in her world, there is no possible way to reverse the Iced Shell user back to human form. The conversation was rough at the start but gradually turned better.

Erza swallowed her food and continued with her talking (interrogating). "So your friend can reverse time and space to make it such that a certain event never happened? And that is how she primarily heals wounds?"

Zero or rather Ichigo just kept eating, replying between mouthfuls of food. "Yeah, that's how she heals us. Some of us, like me, have certain ways to heal ourselves. But I always prefer it if Orihime is the one healing me." After his date with Orihime, he is beginning to remember her true powers of healing or in this case of rejection.

"So you believe that she can restore Gray's teacher back to her original form?" She asks him as she takes a sip of her drink.

Ichigo looked her straight in the eye. If there's one thing he could count on, its Orihime's power for saving people.

"She can do it. She will do it. But you should probably be careful around Gray's teacher when she's human again though… No one knows what being stuck in ice-form for that long can do to someone's psyche." Ichigo spoke, bringing Erza's attention to him.

"You up for a second match Zero?" He chokes on some of his food that he was eating from Erza's question.

He then coughs up some of his food and drinks some water to clear his throat, "You seriously up for another match?" He questions her as he doesn't really want to get into another sparring match with Erza as he remembers.

"I'm more than ready Zero." She says with a smile on her beautiful face, "Since we didn't have a clear winner, I want to settle the score with one last match."

He sighs as he really had to hold back as something in his head was telling him to hold back during their match and plus he was also trying to figure out the Armigar Break.

"Fine but after we get the ice pieces to Orihime and see if we can revive Gray's teacher." Erza raises an eyebrow to what he said.

Before they went to the village, they did recover several pieces of the melted ice that encased Deliora for 10 years. They put her in a bucket and put her into Erza's 'storage' and after this mission they will need her help.

She smiles as she finally got her wish and is eager to see his true powers but Erza took small bites of her food, not finding the appetite to eat with the same gusto as the boys. She stared out of the nearby window and placed a hand over her fake eye. 'Reject an event from happening huh?' She recalls what Zero told her earlier and for some reason, all she could be thinking about is her eye.

The Next Day

The group was gathered at the shore, saying their farewells to the island demons. The island demons themselves also wanted to thank their saviours.

The chief spoke up. "My dear friends, do accept the reward money and key for your troubles!"

Lucy almost jumped at the prospect but Erza stepped in though.

"We can do no such thing. Even though we saved you, these people went off without permission. That makes the quest void."

The chief wanted them to at least have something for their troubles though. "If I cannot convince you to take the money, then will you at least take the key? We have no use for it, and take it as a form of gratitude rather than a bounty."

That was something Erza could live with. "If you put it that way, we shall accept the key." She stepped forward and took the key from the chief's offering hand and handed it to Lucy.

"If that is all we must make our leave!"

"I'm going with you as well." Isshin spoke up and the villagers didn't expect this but Zero and his friends did, "Since my children are here in this world, I figure I can lend them a hand." He spoke to this during this morning to the elder chief and since they have done what they can to heal him and in return, he heals them as gratitude.

"Very well Isshin. Since your children are here, you have my blessing." The Chief says

Erza and company boarded the pirate ship, Natsu needed some encouragement in the form of a bash oover the head with the blunt side of Erza's sword. They set sail back to Magnolia.

Beach side

Lyon watched the whole thing from his spot in the island. A certain hint of melancholy and regret was present in his eyes. He turned to Sherry. "Sherry… Do you think joining a guild would be fun?"

"Hmm? Well… I would think so Lyon-Sama. Why'd you ask?"

Lyon, stood up and brushed himself off. "No reason… C'mon, we gotta leave this island."

"Yes Lyon-Sama." Sherry bounded off after him, the rest of Lyon's group followed.

Era
11:45 A.M.

"Hello Siegrain." Ultear greets as she walks into the room.

"Hello to you too Ultear, you weren't able to obtain Deliora I assume?" Siegrain replied, smirk on his face.

Ultear glared at him. "It's a shame but it was already dead. My mother's spell was stronger than I thought it would be."

"Hmm, Deliora's death is certainly disappointing, but it's not critical. I do have to give props to your mother Ur for having the strength to kill a demon using a sealing spell though."

If Ultear's looks could kill, Siegrain would be dead by now. "My mother was a good mage and that was it. Nothing more. Not even her strength is all that special considering the amount of monsters running around today."

"That may be so, but she was definitely an outstanding one. Say, how did you get that cut on your chin?"

Ultear touched the scar faintly, remembering the fight. "The Glaive of Fairy Tail truly has some potential, that's all I'll say."

"Potential you say?" Siegrain's attention was grabbed. "That's interesting, do I have another candidate for strength other than Erza and Natsu?"

Ultear knew first-hand some of the things that Ichigo is capable of. She spectated the fight between him and the blue haired guy for a while after all. If Siegrain wanted to use Ichigo, she wished him good luck. "Yes, he is definitely a possible candidate. In fact, you might want to try and go for him."

Siegrain let the thought stew and he stared at Ultear from his chair. His smirk grew. "That is certainly a good idea"

Magnolia: Portside
Couple of hours later

The group has finally made it back to Magnolia and Gray had to toss the almost lifeless body of Natsu Dragneel out of the boat due to his motion sickness. Once everything feels normal for the Dragon Slayer, he pops up on his feet and yells,

"I'm Alive!" He yells with his arms in the air.

"You still have to face your punishment." Erza says in a serious tone.

"We're so dead." Natsu hangs his head low in shame and quickly tries to flee but Yoruichi stops him in his tracks while Lucy mainly kept quiet. Of course Natsu tries to struggle his way out of Yoruichi's grasp, but with one chop to the neck, he is out cold.

"You were the ones to take the mission from the 2nd floor." Karin retorts back to the Dragon Slayer, "While we are new to the guild, we at least are trying to know the rules."

"How bad are the rules?" Isshin asks the group.

"Well in this case, normally the guild master would choose a specific punishment from banishment but I doubt that." She stares daggers at Natsu, who is still unconscious, "But I believe this will be a his first major offensive in the guild."

"Well, in any case, let's get going." Gray decided go ahead and head to the guild but not before Yoruichi decided to join him as she is carrying the unconscious Natsu and the two would be later joined by the rest of the group but what they didn't expect is that their home is almost in ruins.

"What the hell?!"

They see their guild broken. The large wooden door is now resting at an angle, windows completely broken and some cardboard covering them, gaps all over the front of the guild and none of them still couldn't believe it.

They then immediately rush over to the guild to see if anyone got hurt in the process.

"GUYS!" They barged the already broken door to see everyone in somewhat good shape but not good. Everyone is patched with bandages all around their bodies. Macao has an eyepatch on his right eye and bandages around his wrists, Wakaba with bandages on his head, Cana has the bandages on her waist and right forearm as well as Mirajane.

While the group ended up yelling and trying to figure out what happened, Natsu manages to wake up

"Someone did this to our guild!" Natsu growled out, knowing full well that this wasn't an accident of any kind. There was such a clear malicious intent behind the building's damage that even a blind person could clearly see it.

"Who the hell would do something like this?" Zero asked in an aggravated tone, his eyes narrowing at the destroyed guildhall.

At this moment in time, he didn't really consider anything else being a possibility. The building had clearly been attacked, the attacker had meant to cause a significant amount of damage, and if it turned out that anyone in their guild had been hurt, it didn't even matter who, then he would personally seek out the perpetrator and deal with whoever it was by force.

"Clearly someone who doesn't like living." Gray growled out.

Just as everyone was giving consideration as to who could have possibly done this, another person decided to grant clarification on the issue. Behind them, the strained voice of another who appeared to be deeply hurt by the guild's destruction spoke out.

"It was Phantom…" Mira stated in a tone just above a whisper, her voice heavy with grief.

"Phantom did this?!" Natsu inquired in a tone that gave off a severe hint of bloodlust.

"We couldn't do anything to stop them… they got us good." Mira continued, tears nearly coming into her eyes.

"Who are they and where can I go to teach them a lesson?" Zero immediately asked, a very keen intent to do so lighting up in his eyes.

"Yeah, count me in on that one…" Natsu stated, pounding his right fist into the palm of his opposite hand in an effort to at least lessen his already substantial desire to destroy something.

"It may not be that easy, Zero." Erza said in a disappointed tone, though it wasn't directed at the substitute himself.

"What do you mean? These guys attacked us, right?" Ichigo reasoned.

"Erza's right… come with me, I can explain along the way. Right now everyone is using the basement since the main room is destroyed." Mira sated.

Guildhall's Basement

"Wait, so these guys are another legal guild?" Yuzu asked confusedly as she and the others ventured down the stairs towards the lowest levels of the guildhall.

Thus far he had been informed that the guild known as Phantom Lord, or at least someone who was a part of it, was responsible for what had happened to their guildhall. However, no one was hurt, despite such substantial damage being caused, and the number of perpetrators and their affiliation with the mentioned guild were not known.

Still, the substitute had also been told that the two guilds had always been at odds with one another, mostly over the title of Magnolia's strongest guild. Thus far, Fairy Tail was their equal in terms of strength though many people would say they were indeed stronger than Phantom. Perhaps this wasn't a good motive altogether for Phantom to do what they presumably did, but even so more malicious and devastating attacks had been mounted for less.

"Yes, and that's why taking any action right now may be dangerous since we don't really have proof that a member of their guild did it on orders." Mira explained.

"What kind of a crappy reason is that?!" Natsu exclaimed, though before he continue with his outburst he was silenced courtesy of a stern smack on the back of his head.

"Calm down, Natsu." Erza stated calmly as the dragon slayer rubbed the impact point.

"What did the old man say about all of this?" Karin questioned.

He had figured that since they were actually attacked it was ultimately up to Makarov in terms of what they decided to do, if anything. The situation itself was just entirely too complicated and at the moment nothing was truly known about it other than that someone from or affiliated with Phantom Lord attacked Fairy Tail.

Given that no one was hurt, he had allowed himself to calm down slightly, though that didn't mean he'd sit idly by if it came down to it. After all, he was no stranger to tearing down something that tried to harm something precious to him.

"You can ask him yourself…" Mira trialed off as the group walked down the stairs.

Immediately after entering the basement, the white-haired woman pointed towards a nearby pile of crates. Atop said pile of wooden crates was none other than the master himself, a rather evident alcohol-induced blush covering his cheeks and a mug of beer gripped tightly in his right hand.

'I don't believe it…' Zero thought with a deadpanned expression. Of all the things he expected the old man to do, this was definitely not one of them.

"Yo, what's up kids?" Makarov asked in a drunken tone, waving towards the group of returning members.

"Uh… hi." Lucy replied warily, taking distinct notice of how plowed the guild's technical leader was.

"You're kidding me, right?" Zero whispered, turning towards the barmaid as he did so.

Mira just looked at the substitute with a sad smile and shrugged her shoulders. She had her own guesses as to why the master decided to drink his troubles away for the time being, but in truth she didn't know the exact reason so it wasn't really her place to say anything.

"Why is everyone just sittin' around here doin' nothing?!" Natsu exclaimed angrily.

"How'd it go Lucy… did you finish the job like a good girl?" Makarov inquired, having obviously ignored what the pink-haired teen had said.

"Yeah, I guess so…" Lucy replied, sounding lost.

"Master, do you understand the gravity of the situation?" Erza questioned with a raised brow.

The redheaded wizard did have a high tolerance for the master's eccentricities and laid-back attitude because she respected him a great deal. Still, getting drunk at a time like this in no way appeared to be an acceptable solution no matter how she chose to look at it.

"What're ya gettin' so worked up about? It's not the end of the world…" Makarov replied before taking another sip from his mug.

"What?" Natsu and Gray growled out simultaneously, their words mimicking Zero's thoughts.

"If ya ask me, it just goes to show how cowardly those dunderheads at Phantom really are. They hit us when no one was here." Makarov added.

"Does that really make a difference? They attacked the guildhall and beat the living hell out of it. Granted it's not my decision, but I just want to know if you really think that letting them get away with it is really the best choice?" Zero questioned, his tone possessing a slight edge.

Most everyone picked up on the tone of the substitute as well as the general look in his eyes. The brown piercing orbs of the otherworldly man stared directly into the dazed ones of the master, which made several nearest to them think that a potential fight was going to break out over recent events.

From Ichigo's perspective, he was never trying to give off the intent to enter conflict with the master, but he did need to bring himself to understand his real feelings on the matter. Even drunk, if the master's next words turned out to be false, he'd know.

"…I do." Makarov replied, a drunken smile still etched on his face.

For a moment, the orange-haired teen's expression shifted to one of annoyance, but shortly thereafter it returned to his normal expression. While he didn't necessarily agree with Makarov's attitude towards the situation, he did understand that whatever was going on was more complicated than he cared to understand.

"Fine… if that's what you really think." Ichigo said, causing many nearby guild members to sigh out of relief.

"Are you the leader?" Isshin asks the short guild master.

"That I am. Who're you?" He asks still a bit drunk.

"I'm Isshin Kurosaki-Shiba, the father of these three." Isshin pointed to Yuzu, Karin and Zero and most of them couldn't believe it, minus the main group as they all know. They all could feel Isshin's power in him and they could see where Zero has his power and the twins as well. "If someone attacked my children, I would have made sure that I got even with this Phantom Lord guild." He says with a hint of venom in his tone, "Now granted that I'm in no shape to fight yet, I would do whatever it takes to get even against Phantom."

Everyone in the room felt the hostilty growing with the Kurosaki's father and Makarov growing but this wasn't in terms at each other but more in the role as the patriarch of the family or guild in this case.

"Anyone know the person was responsible for attacking us?" Erza asked her friends.

"A tall, muscular man with light blue spiky hair and light blue eyes and has a jawline mask going down his jawline." Levy remembered seeing one of the perpetrators that attacked them and the guild.

Hearing the description from Levy instantly made Zero remembered the person who attacked the guild. He remembers the multiple fights that him and the attacker fought from their first fight in Karakura Town to their last fight at Hueco Mundo.

"Grimmjow." He mutters the name with venom in his tone. "Where's Orihime?"

"I'm here." He turns around to see her coming down with some food that Mirajane is preparing and Zero immediately rushes at her and hold her tightly. He also remembered that one night that she left the town without letting most of them but they were able to rescue her.

Everyone in the guild was surprised to see this action from Zero along with Isshin. Orihime was also surprised to see this action as well but nevertheless she returns the hug.

"You alright while I was gone?" He asks her in a hush tone. She nods her head and Zero burys his face into her neck as he doesn't want to gone like the last time. "Where's Rukia and Renji?"

"They are trying to find Phantom Lord's location."

"And Tier and her Faccion?"

"I think they are around the town, protecting most of Magnolia." She answers his question and this made him sigh in relief. She then sees Yuzu and Karin along with their father Isshin and he couldn't be mroe happy for his son and his soon to be daughter-in-law (even though they aren't getting married anytime soon). Once Zero lets go of her, she walks up to Isshin, "It's nice to see you again Kurosaki-san."

"You as well Orihime."
