Rogue sighed as she walked down the stairs slowly. She was so ready for their little girl to make her appearance, but she had a few more weeks to go. It was Valentine's Day and she could only imagine what Gambit had in store for her. Part of her was excited, but the other was more hesitant and reluctant.

Finally making it down the stairs, she made her way into the kitchen where she was greeted by Kitty and Ororo. "Good morning." Storm said with a warm smile.

"You look exhausted." Kitty said, walking over and rubbing Rogue's back lightly.

"Can't really sleep." Rogue said, placing her hands on her large tummy. "This little girl won't stop movin'."

"Sounds as if she will be just like her father." Storm said. "Always on the move."

"Speaking of, have y'all seen him?" Rogue asked.

Kitty shook her head. "Nope." She said, looking at Storm who also shook her head. "It is Valentin's Day."

"Yeah and that's what ah'm wonderin' about." Rogue said. "Ah don't want him doin' anything that's going to wear me out. Ah ain't in tha mood ta do anything very physical. My back is killing me."

"Aww." Kitty said as Craig walked in with a smile. "Hey."

"Mornin'." Craig said, walking over and taking Kitty's hands. "I got somt'in' planned fo' us dis evein'."

"Oh?" Kitty asked, intrigued.

"Mm hmm." He said, leaning in and kissing her cheek. "So don' go doin' anyt'ing 'round seven."

"Alright." Kitty said, smiling at him as Jean and Scott walked in.

"Good morning, everyone." Scott said as he walked over and poured himself some coffee.

"Morning!" Kitty chirped as Jean walked over and placed her hand on Rogue's upper back.

"You hanging in there?" She asked, with a smile.

"Ah'm trying." Rogue said, walking over and sitting down at the table. "Ain't never been so tired in my life."

"You're almost done." Jean said, walking over and pouring herself some coffee. "You can do it. I'm going to keep checking on you daily."

"Please do." Rogue nodding her head.

"Bonjour, mes amis!" Gambit said, walking in with a smile.

"There ya are." Rogue said as he walked up to her. "Where have ya been?"

"Dat be a secret." He said kissing her cheek before he knelt and placed his hand on Rogue's tummy, feeling the baby kick. "She move a lot, no?"

"Yeah, and she keeps me awake." Rogue said. "And ya gonna be tha one ta take care of her durin' tha night while ah get some sleep."

Gambit smiled and nodded. "O' course, mon amour." He said, kissing Rogue sweetly as he stood and walked over to the coffee. "Leave some for me, homme?"

"Not much." Scott said with a grin as he sipped on his coffee.

"The renovations to your new room are almost complete." Jean said, looking at Gambit and Rogue. "They should be finishing up this week."

"Il est temps." Gambit said. "'Bout time. Every time I go check on it, dey be takin' a break. Lazy bastards."

"Be nice." Rogue said. "This is happening for us. Be thankful tha Professor allowed it."

"Am t'ankful." Gambit said, pouring the last bit off coffee, filling only half his mug. "Professor gave me a second chance. T'ink I done pretty well wit' it, no?"

"I agree." Jean said, smiling at Rogue. "So, what's the baby's name?"

Rogue shook her head. "Ah'm torn between a few." She said, looking at Gambit who winked at her. "Ah think ah'll know when she's born."

"What does daddy think?" Jean asked, looking at Gambit.

"Like all de names she pick." He said. "She wanna wait, dat's fine by me."

"Is she still moving?" Kitty asked, walking over with a smile.

"Does she ever stop?" Rogue asked as Kitty knelt and placed her hand on Rogue's large belly.

"Aww, I can't wait until she's born." Kitty said, smiling up at Rogue. "I'll totally be free if you need me, well, unless I'm teaching."

"Ah really appreciate that, Kitty." Rogue said. "Might need a babysitter."

"Craig, come over here and feel this." Kitty said, smiling back at Craig.

He smiled and shook his head. "No t'anks." He said. "Dat's kinda gross. It's like Aliens."

"No it isn't." Kitty said, standing and walking over to him.

Gambit smiled. "It is kinda gross, mon ami." He said, looking at Rogue. "Even grosser when y' see it movin'."

"Ew." Craig said, pretending to shiver, receiving a smack on the shoulder from Kitty.

"Grow up." She said with a giggle.

Sighing, Rogue looked at Gambit and smiled. "Can ya get me some water, hun?" She asked.

He nodded as he did so, seeing Logan walk in. "Damn, is there a staff meeting?" He asked, walking over and grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl before walking over and sitting beside Rogue. "How ya holdin' up, kid?"

She shrugged as Gambit placed the glass of water in front of her. "As best ah can." She said, looking down at her stomach. "Ya wanna feel it? Everyone else has."

Logan smiled as he placed his left hand on her stomach. "Girl's gotta good kick." He said, smiling at Rogue, before he took his hand away.

"What if she has Gambit's eyes?" Kitty asked, looking at Rogue and then Gambit.

"God, ah hope not." Rogue said, looking at Gambit who returned the look with insult. "No offense, sugah."

"S'okay. I hope she have yo' eyes." He said, sipping on his coffee.

"She will be beautiful no matter what." Storm said with a smile. "Will you be going to the hospital or staying here when it is time?"

"Ah really like Miranda, the doctor that Hank introduced me ta. She's really sweet and cares a lot. Ah just don't know if ah'll be able ta stand tha drive. Ah guess we'll see how quickly it all happens." Rogue said.

"Let us know if you need anything." Jean said. "I mean that."

"Ah will." Rogue said. "Thanks."

"Well, got some t'ings t' take care of b'fore tonight." Gambit said walking over and kissing the top of Rogue's head. "I see y' later."

Watching him walk out of the kitchen, Rogue smiled and shook her head. "He's always plannin' something." She said, taking another sip of her water.

"He still hopin' to get laid?" Logan asked, taking a bite of his apple.

Rogue smirked at him. "He doesn't have ta hope, sugah." She said winking at him.

"Wait, y' guys still have sex wit' ya bein' dis pregnant?" Craig asked, the look of confusion and disgust on his face.

"Of course." Rogue said. "Doctor said it's perfectly healthy."

Jean smiled. "I think it's great." She said. "Most men are turned off by their pregnant lover's body."

"But dat's jus' gross." Craig said, receiving another smack from Kitty.

"It's not gross, it's romantic and cute." She said. "Guys just don't understand."

"But how do y' even...?" Craig let his question trail off.

Rogue laughed. "Remy has a vast knowledge of positions." She said, hearing Logan chuckle.

"Okay, now it's getting a little too personal." Kitty said.

"Hold up now." Craig said, with a smirk. "Didn' know dis. He know a lot?"

"Gambit used to be a man-whore before he met Rogue." Logan said.

"That is not nice." Storm said, coming to Gambit's defense, even though it was true. "He has simply been on a journey to find the right woman."

"He's been on a journey alright." Logan said, making Rogue shake her head.

"God, ah'm right here." She said, resting her arms on her belly.

"Gambit could probably teach a class on how to have the best sex of your life." Kitty joked, seeing Rogue nod her head.

"That is a class that will never happen." Jean said with a smile before she looked at Scott. "But, you should go talk to Remy about these positions. I'm curious now."

Scott looked at her through his ruby lenses. "Am I boring you?" He asked, a little hurt.

"Not at all, love." Jean said, placing her hand on the side of his face. "I just thought maybe we could spice things up a bit."

"Well, ah'm sure Remy would love ta tell ya all about it." Rogue said, standing up slowly. "Tha man loves his sex."

"Maybe I go find him." Craig said, looking at Kitty.

"What?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest. "You think I'm gonna give it to you?"

Craig slightly blushed. "Have t' be ready, right?" He said with a grin.

Playfully rolling her eyes, Kitty smiled as she shook her head. "Why do guys always think about sex?" She asked, watching Rogue fill her glass back up with water. "Why can't they just enjoy our company?"

"Dat's de way we're wired." Craig said, looking at Logan, who nodded in agreement.

"Hey, ah enjoy sex." Rogue said, taking a sip of water. "Even though ah've only been with Remy, he sure knows how ta make me feel beautiful and important."

"I enjoy it too." Jean said, placing her hand on Scott's shoulder, making him smile at her.

"Well, ah need ta go do my daily walk." Rogue sighed. "Even though ah'm exhausted."

"I can go with ya, darlin'." Logan said as he stood and walked over, throwing the apple core away.

"Ah don't want ya ta have ta change ya plans." Rogue said, as he walked over and placed his hand on her lower back.

"Ain't got no plans." Logan said, as they left the kitchen.

Walking to the entrance hall, Rogue grabbed her jacket before they headed out the door. There was still snow on the ground from last weeks snow storm that had hit hard. It was so cold out.

"Be truthful with me, Anna." Logan said, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Are ya happy?"

Rogue smiled. "Of course ah am." She said, looking at him. "Why?"

Logan sighed. "In all honesty, I see you as a daughter." He said, looking at her. "Just bein' protective of what I care about."

Rogue stopped and smiled at him. "Well, ya don't have ta be." She said. "Remy takes good care of me."

"I know." Logan said.

She moved in and hugged him. "He's a good man." She said, kissing his cheek. "Just like ya, Logan. And when we get married, ah want ya ta walk me down tha aisle."

Logan smiled warmly. "I'd be honored, kid." He said, returning the kiss to her cheek.

Locking her right arm in his left, they continued their walk along the mansion wall.

"Mon dieu, vous regardez délicieux." Gambit said as Rogue walked down the stairs. "Y' look delicious."

Rogue smiled as she reached the bottom and took his hand. "Ya do too, lover." She said, kissing it. "Where we goin'?"

He grinned as they slowly walked toward the garage. "Y' see in a few." He said, as they walked over to the convertible and he opened the door for her.

She continued to smile as she watched him walk around to the other side and get in. Looking at her, he smiled back as he leaned over the center console and kissed her softly.

"Y' really do look beautiful, Anna." He said, seeing her smile widen.

"Thanks." She said as he started up the car and headed out of the garage and toward the main road.

After fifteen minutes, she saw the restaurant as they pulled in. "Member dis place?" He asked, parking as close as he could.

"This was one of our first dinner dates." She said, smiling at him.

"Hope y' in de mood fo' dis." He said, killing the engine. "We go somewhere else if y' ain'."

She shook her head. "It's fine, Remy." She said, taking her seat belt off.

Gambit quickly got out and ran around to the other side to open the door and help her out. Standing, he placed another kiss on her lips before he locked the car and they walked up to the restaurant entrance, hand in hand. Walking in, the hostess greeted them and Gambit let her know about their reservation. She checked the list and smiled as she grabbed two menus and took them to a quiet section of the restaurant. Seating them at a small table for two, she informed them that their waiter would be with them momentarily.

"Still looks tha same." Rogue said, leaning back in her chair.

Gambit smiled at her. "Y' feelin' a'right, mon amour?" He asked.

"Just tired." She said, placing her hands on her stomach. "Ah'm ready ta have this baby."

"Ready too." He said, leaning forward and holding his right hand out for her to take.

She did and smiled as he rubbed her knuckles with his thumb. "When do ya wanna get married?" She asked, making eye contact with him.

"As soon as possible." He said. "Wanna seal de deal, no?"

"Well, ah need ta make sure ah look sexy for ya, first." She said, seeing him shake his head.

"Y' already sexy." He said, looking into her eyes intensely. "Don' gotta make sure."

She chuckled. "Well, still wanna try. Plus, ah got time while we plan for it." She said as their waiter walked up to take their drink order before leaving to get them. "So, what do ya have planned tonight that ya hopin' will get ya laid?"

Gambit laughed before he shook his head. "Not tryin'." He said. "Dis be it. Nice dinner toget'er. Might be our last b'fore de baby come."

"Yeah." Rogue said, taking his hand again. "Ya so busy with ya class, which is good. But, sometimes ah miss wakin' up beside ya and just bein' lazy together."

"Got de weekend fo' dat." He said, seeing her shake her head.

"Ah'm selfish and want ya all tha time." She said, making him smile lovingly at her.

"Spring break be comin' next mont'." He said, tangling their fingers together. "Wit' our luck, she be born den."

"Ah'm fine with that. As long as ya there with me." She said, seeing him nod.

"Always." He said as the waitress returned.

The rest of the night was perfect. Rogue hadn't really had a night alone with Gambit in a while. He had become so busy with his class, he had stayed up late, finding ways to keep the girls interested in cooking as well as grading tests. She would always go to bed alone and wake up alone, though she knew he was there during the time she was asleep.

As they pulled into the garage and made their way out of the car, Rogue slipped her hand inside Gambit's as they walked inside the mansion. It was just after eleven, so curfew had been instated and the lights had been turned off. Leading the way, they made their way upstairs to their room where they brushed their teeth before getting ready for bed.

Climbing into bed together, Rogue smiled as Gambit turned the light out. "Ah think this is tha first Valentine's Day we haven't had sex." She said, lying down and feeling him pull her closer.

"Could keep dat tradition goin'." He said, kissing her forehead.

"Ah'm not feelin' it." She said, placing her hand on his chest.

"Pas de soucis." He said, softly as he rubbed her side, feeling her stomach.
