(After the End in the Beginning)
Thanks for continuing to support my story.
I don't own Bones.

Opening the fridge, Booth looked inside, found the shelves to be almost empty and closed the door. Turning, he walked back into the bedroom, stared at his girlfriend, and smiled. "Okay, fun is fun, but we really need to go grocery shopping."
Not surprised at all with Booth's declaration, Brennan sat up in bed and frowned. "I told you that yesterday, but you said you could live off of love."
Booth walked over to the dresser and pulled out a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and socks and decided he needed a shower. "Well, I was tired yesterday. I'm hungry today."
Throwing her pillow at him, Brennan shook her finger at him. "You're the one who hasn't wanted to leave the apartment since I arrived."
Amused, Booth checked his hair in the mirror and saw the worse case of bed head he'd ever seen. "Yeah, yeah. I need to shave and a shower . . . Maybe we can go out and eat breakfast and then maybe we can go grocery shopping."
After he walked into the bathroom, she waited until she heard the water run in the shower before leaving the bed. Sliding out of the bed, she smiled and moved to the bathroom as quietly as possible. Entering the room, she walked over to the shower, removed the t-shirt she was wearing, pulled the curtain back and stepped in to the tub.
Booth aware that he wasn't alone laughed and turned, "Want to . . . "
Placing her right hand on his mouth, she slowly moved the palm of her left hand down his stomach. "Yes, I do."

Sitting in the Royal Diner, Booth sipped his coffee and watched Brennan as she picked up her cup. "So, when are you going to tell them you're back?"
Thirsty, she sipped her hot tea and savored the flavor. "I thought I'd wait until next week."
Sad that his vacation was coming to an end, Booth placed his cup down. "Yeah, I have to go back to work tomorrow." Suddenly serious, Booth asked a question he had been dreading to ask. "Are you going to go back to work or are you going to go back to Maluku?"
Surprised he didn't understand the situation better, Brennan shook her head. "Booth, I'm not going back to Maluku. We just started a relationship, I don't want to be unfair to you and just leave for a dig for a year. Maybe I'll go on a shorter dig later in the summer for a few weeks, but I'm not going to take on something that will keep us apart for a year."
Relieved to hear that bit of news, Booth cleared his throat. "Thanks, Bones. I know you really wanted to be a part of that dig."
Shrugging her shoulders, she smiled. "I have what I want Booth. I might take another week or two off. It's been a long time since I've actually taken a vacation and I could use the rest after this week. You are very voracious."
Booth picked up his fork and scooped up some eggs. Not embarrassed in the least, Booth knew that he had exhausted them both. "Yeah, I think I was trying to make up for lost time."
She had enjoyed their week together and wished they had more free time together. Brennan reached out her hand and placed it over his hand. "We're in a relationship, Booth. I'm not going anywhere. You don't need to worry about that."
Clasping her hand, he raised it up and kissed the back of it. "I'm not going anywhere either."

Shopping at the Whole Food Markets, Booth wasn't very happy. Following Brennan around with the shopping cart, he felt uncomfortable in the store. The stuff he was seeing were things he didn't normally buy and organic anything was too rich for his wallet. Making up his mind, he let his girlfriend do the shopping she wanted. Carrying the groceries out to the truck, Booth glanced around and spoke to his partner. "We need to stop by Safeway on the way back to my apartment."
Puzzled, Brennan stared at the grocery sacks in the cart. "What for? We just shopped."
He didn't want to sound like he was complaining about Whole Foods, but he really had a budget he had to follow. "I need to pick up a few things. Stuff that I need."
A little exasperated, Brennan placed her hand on the cart. "Why didn't you buy them at the Whole Food Market while we were there?"
Clearing his throat, he tried to be tactful. The last thing he wanted to do was argue about food. "Well, uh, I didn't . . . I didn't see my stuff that I like to buy, so I need to go to Safeway."
Brennan walked around the truck and entered the passenger side while her boyfriend unloaded the bags into the truck. Not sure if Brennan was angry, Booth entered the driver's side once he was done and turned to face her. "I just didn't see my stuff. I won't take too long."
She didn't want to argue over his food selections and if he wanted to shop at another store, then she didn't see why he couldn't. "I understand."
Suddenly smiling, Booth turned the key in the ignition. "You'll see, I'll be in and out." He didn't know if she really understood, but he was grateful that she said she did.
Oooooooooooooooooooooooo
After shopping for thirty minutes, Booth hurried back out to his truck and placed his groceries in the back with Brennan's. Entering the truck, he turned and smiled at her. "See, in and out."
While he had been in the store, she had read her emails and answered a few of them, so the wait hadn't been unproductive. "I think I need to go back to my apartment tomorrow."
Suddenly still, Booth stared at Brennan and tried to gauge her mood. "Are you mad at me?"
Surprised, Brennan shook her head. "No, why would I be mad at you? Since you're going to be at work, I thought I'd clean my apartment, do some laundry, pay my bills, that sort of thing?"
Relieved that he hadn't done something wrong, Booth smiled at her. "Oh, okay, I see. Yeah, that sounds like a good plan."
Reaching out and placing her hand on Booth's arm, she squeezed his arm. "Booth, I'm not going anywhere. Why don't you stay in my apartment this week? We can takes turns between apartments. One week in yours and one week in mine."
He had wondered how they were going to work out their living arrangements and this sounded like a good plan for the moment. "Sure sounds good." Moving out into traffic, Booth watched the congested streets closely as he made his way back to his apartment. Once they arrived, the couple unloaded their bags from the truck and carried them upstairs. Putting most of the groceries away, Booth decided he needed to cook dinner. "I'll make spaghetti tonight. I'm getting tired of take out."
Pouring herself a glass of iced tea, Brennan smiled at the thought of a home made meal. "Good, I love your spaghetti."

Afraid of what was going on, he sat on the couch with his little brother and stared at his father. "Where's Mom?"
Ignoring his son, Edwin continued to drink his beer and watch the game.
Confused, he stood up and spoke louder. "Dad, why is Mom gone? Where is she Dad?"
Standing he grabbed his son by the front of his shirt and pulled him closer. "She's gone and she's not coming back. Don't bring her up again or you'll regret it." Slapping his son on the face, he threw him towards the couch, turned and left.
The taste of blood in his mouth made him sick as he held his hand next to his split lip and stared as the front door slammed shut by his father.
His brother crying, he turned and placed his arms around him. "Don't cry Jared. You're not alone. I'm here. I'll take care of you."
Opening his eyes, Booth gaze moved around the room and came to rest on Brennan. She was sleeping on her side and facing the other way, her breathing very quiet. Sighing, he rolled onto his back, placed his hands under his head and stared at the ceiling.
