So, here's chapter 11. Sorry for the delay, I changed my mind about a few things, and had to edit two and a half chapters, so I couldn't post until now. I hope I don't change my mind again! You never know!

Thanks to all of you for reading and reviewing! You're awesome!

I dedicate this chapter to Laura (bellarose-riddle) who helped me with the story these days!

-Oh and this is IMPORTANT (kind of haha). I also have to let you know, that I posted a new drabble, this time it's about Kol's transition into a vampire and I called it 'I did it to protect you'. All from Kol's point of view! I thought it was a good idea writing about it! It's my fave one so far, so I recommend you to check it out! You've got the link for the drabbles in my profile! I would like to know what you think about it, so you can leave me a review there! :)-

I hope you like this chapter!

PS: Sorry for the spelling mistakes!

Book 2:

Through eternity & bloodlust: The Return

Chapter.11

- No, you are not going to die. We will find something, a cure. –he said. He was very nervous. He even stood up and started pacing around. His hands went to his head; he looked worried and scared at the same time. I just stared at him.

- Kol, you know there is nothing to cure a werewolf bite. –his hands went down and he walked back to the bed and sat on it.

- Let me see it. –he ripped off the strap of the dress, that was putting pressure on the wound, I felt relieved after he did that. When he saw the wound his hands went to his head again, he stood up and walked to the wall, and stood there facing it. –This can't be happening. –I heard him say and he punched the wall. I jumped scared, I wasn't expecting that. He then turned around again and walked to me. –What if I give you my blood? –he asked. He sounded desperate.

- I don't think it will help.

- WE HAVE TO TRY. –he raised his voice and I shivered. –I'm sorry. –he apologized when he saw my reaction. –Let us try it. –I nodded, but I knew it wouldn't work, no vampire survived a werewolf bite, we had never heard about it, all the vampires infected by werewolf venom had died.

Kol bit his wrist and helped me sit up, then he brought it closer to my mouth and I started drinking his blood, after a while I pulled away and cleaned the blood from my mouth. Somehow I felt better. I didn't feel dizzy anymore.

- How do you feel?

- I feel… I feel better. –this was really strange. –But the wound hasn't healed. –I looked at it.

- Maybe it will take some time to heal.

- What if it doesn't work, Kol? –I asked.

- It has to work. Maybe we just need to wait. –he looked very convinced about it, or at least that was what it seemed. –And if it doesn't, I'll search a witch. –I wasn't still convinced about it. –I'll let you rest. If you need me, call me, I'll be here. –I nodded and saw him leaving the bedroom.

I woke up after a while, I hadn't slept too much, but I couldn't be anymore in bed, I needed to get out of there.

So, I made my way downstairs and into the living room. Kol was sat there in one of the sofas, reading a book. He looked very concentrated.

- What are you reading? –I asked walking to the sofa, rested my arms on it and stared at the book from behind Kol's head.

- It's nothing. –he said and tried to close the book, but I was faster and took it off his hands.

- You are reading about werewolves. –I said.

- Yes. And what? –he stood up and looked at me. –I wanted to inform myself a little bit more. –he grabbed the book and left it on the table. –How are you feeling?

- I'm good. I'm just hungry. –I heard footsteps getting closer; I supposed it was a servant. I took a deep breathe and flashed to her, sinking my fangs in her neck very aggressively. It feel so good, I really needed that. When I had finished draining her completely I let the body fall on the floor. I turned around and saw Kol staring at me.

- Yes, you definitely were hungry. –he smirked.

- I need more. –I informed and felt my fangs coming out again. I closed my eyes, trying to concentrate and searched for another victim in the house that I could drain.

After a while I had drained two more persons, what was going on with me? I had never fed so much in such a short time.

- Alexandra, are you okay? –I heard Kol approaching me. But suddenly my vision blurred and I felt very dizzy. –Alexandra? –I let the body of the girl fall on the floor and used my vampire speed to get out of the house.

I stood in front of a tree and tried to calm down, but I was feeling very bad. I didn't know what was going on. My hand went to my throat, while the other rested on the tree, my body was bent down and I was looking at the ground, I had the sensation that it was moving, I tried to close my eyes, but it was even worst.

I started coughing; I put my hand in front of my mouth and realized that some blood had come out. Was I really coughing blood? Or was I hallucinating?

And all of a sudden I felt the need to vomit, and even more blood came out. I felt horrible.

- ALEXANDRA! –I heard Kol's voice. He appeared next to me and hold my hair, so I could vomit. When I finished, he put his arm around my waist and brought me closer to him. Thank god he was holding me; I was so weak that I would have fallen down if it wasn't for him. –Alexandra? –he called my name. I groaned. –What is going on? –I let out a cry of pain. And my hand went to the wound.

- It hurts, Kol. –I managed to say. He removed my hand and looked at the wound.

- Oh my god… –I heard him murmur.

I felt sick again and tried to pull away from Kol. I started coughing and realized more blood was coming out of my mouth.

Kol ran to me and I felt his arm around my waist, holding me. My whole body hurt, but what hurt the most was the wound. It was getting worse.

- Let's get you inside. –Kol picked me up with his vampire speed and brought us inside. He laid me on my bed and stared at me. My dress was covered in blood and so were my face and hands

I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate in something different than the pain. I felt really bad and weak.

- I need to take a bath. –I said. I tried to flash from bed to the bathroom, but I felt dizzy and when I almost reached the door I felt my legs going weaker and crashed against the door frame, but Kol was quick enough and catch me before my body could reach the floor.

- I got you. –he said in a whisper.

- I feel so weak, Kol. And it hurts. –my hand went to the wound. I had the need to scratch it. It hurt and it was itchy.

- Hey, hey. –he grabbed my hand and pulled it away of the wound, that was already bleeding, I had scratched it too hard. –It's okay.

- Don't leave me, Kol.

- I'm not going to leave. –he hold me in his arms. –And now you are going to take a bath. –he help me stand up and then he picked me up in his strong arms and carried me inside the bathroom. He sat me on the counter and I rested my back against the wall while he prepared the bath. When I saw that he had finished I jumped off the counter as I could and tried to keep the balance so I wouldn't fall on the floor. I felt useless right now.

I started undressing and saw Kol turning around, like he wanted to give me some privacy.

I let my bloody dress fall on the floor and stepped into the bath and slowly sat down.

Kol turned around to face me.

- I'll leave you alone. –he said.

- NO. –I raised my voice. –Please don't leave. –I said in almost a murmur.

Kol sat down on the edge of the bath. I looked down and I hugged my knees.

- You are going to be okay. –I heard him say.

- You know it's not true. I will die soon.

- No, you are not going to die. I won't let that happen.

*Kol's POV*

Alexandra got dressed after taking a bath and she lay on the bed. She looked very pale and weak and I hated seeing her like this.

I sat next to her and stared at her. I couldn't stand this situation. I needed to find a way to cure her from the werewolf bite; she couldn't die, not again. I was not ready to lose her.

Alexa quickly feel asleep, she was exhausted. I sat closer to her and stroked her long hair while I heard her soft breaths.

I closed my eyes and hoped that when I would open them, all this would be a dream, that Alexa would be fine.

I suddenly felt a tear rolling down my cheek and some more tears followed it. I was crying, crying because I was afraid to lose Alexa again. This couldn't be happening.

I stood up and walked out of the room and found myself punching the wall, while I kept on crying.

After a while, I stopped and rested my back against the wall, my hands went to my head and I slowly let myself fall down until I was sat on the floor.

I had never stopped loving her. I could have been mad at her for daggering me, but I loved her. And now seeing her slowly dying all over again was destroying me. I couldn't let this happen. She meant so much to me.

This reminded me of the Henrik situation. I had already lost him because of a werewolf, I couldn't lose her. This wasn't going to happen again.

I had left Alexa at home, a few servants were taking care of her, while I went to see a witch who lived in New Orleans, maybe she knew of something to help Alexa.

But when I arrived there, she said there was nothing she could do, Alexa was going to die.

I felt so furious when I heard her words, that I killed her in that moment, not caring about anything. She was useless.

After that I went to see a few more witches, but none of them gave me a positive answer. I was starting to feel desperate. I needed something.

I went back home and went to Alexa's bedroom. She was already awake when I walked in.

- Where were you? –she asked. She looked paler and her breaths were very soft.

- I needed some fresh air. –I said.

- Why do you have blood on your shirt? –she asked. I looked down and saw what she was talking about. –What have you done?

- I went to see some witches, but they were all useless. –I took off my shirt and put on the new one I had brought from my room and then I walked to the window and looked through it. There was a brief silence, until something broke it. I heard Alexa crying.

I flashed to the bed and hold her close to me.

- It hurts, Kol. –she cried. –Make it stop. Please. –she begged. I hated seeing her liked this. I was useless; I couldn't do anything to calm her pain. I looked at the wound and saw it was getting bigger.

- It's okay. It's okay.

- Kol. –she let out a scream. –Kill me, please.

- WHAT? No. –my eyes widened.

- Kill me… –she was completely drenched in sweat and she was shaking.

- No, I won't do that.

- Please. –she looked straight into my eyes. I cupped her face in my hands and looked at her. –Make this pain go away. –I shook my head. I wasn't going to kill her, I couldn't do that. –Kol… –I closed my eyes for moment and then opened them again. I slowly leant in and I pressed my forehead against hers very carefully and closed my eyes.

- I'm not going to lose you, not again. –I paused. –And killing you is not an option. We are going to fix this. –I stroked her face. She slowly closed her eyes and lay back on the bed.

I looked at her and then lay on the bed next to her. She rested her head on my chest while I stroked her hair; she had quickly fallen asleep after the pain went away. She was completely drenched in sweat, but I didn't mind. I only wanted to be with her. I wanted her to feel better.

The wound looked worse with every minute that went on.

I knew I couldn't do anything, but just be there seeing her die. I felt a tear rolling down my cheek.

Just when everything was slowly going back to normal, she was dying. She didn't deserve this.

I felt furious. If I been with her in the woods, this wouldn't have happened because before the werewolf had the chance to hurt her it would have already been dead.

I tried to take a deep breathe; I really needed to calm down.

I tried to move her away, carefully so she wouldn't wake up and walked to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and then I closed my eyes. Suddenly I found myself punching the mirror; it broke into a million pieces.

This was not happening, it couldn't be.

I looked down and saw blood on the floor, my fist was bleeding, but I didn't care. I was only worried about losing Alexa.

My other hand went to my hair, I was desperate and scared and I didn't know what to do.

All of a sudden I heard a noise coming from the room.

- Alexandra? –I quickly flashed out of the bathroom and looked around the bedroom, but I didn't see her, she wasn't in the bed. –Where are you? –I heard a growl and then I felt someone jumping on me. We fell on the floor and saw Alexa on top of me. She had vamped out. Her hand went to my throat putting some pressure. –What are you doing, Alexandra? –she bared her fangs at me and then she removed the hand from my throat and replaced it with her fangs. I groaned. She had bitten me very aggressively. –Stop it, Alexandra. –I said but she ignored me. I sighed and flipped us over, so I was now on top of her. She tried to fight me and kept on baring her fangs at me. –What has gotten into you? –I asked her. She had gone crazy and the energy she had seemed to lose because she was weak was now back. –STOP IT! –I shouted at her. And all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my stomach; I looked at it and saw a knife. Where had this come from? She totally caught me off guard and kicked me, so I went flying back.

- You are not going to hurt me anymore, Mikael. –my eyes widened. Mikael? What was she talking about? –You have ruined our lifes, but it will be over soon.

- What? NO! Alexandra, it's me, it's Kol. I'm not Mikael, I'm not going to hurt you. –she was clearly hallucinating, a symptom she hadn't shown until now, but I heard and read about it. It was a frequent symptom. –Look at me, Alexandra. –she walked to me and I pulled out the knife letting out a groan. –I'm Kol.

- You killed me and you have always hurt this family. –she kept on approaching me. I stood up and flashed to her, grabbing her by the shoulders and making her look at me. She tried to move, but I didn't let her.

- Come to senses, Alexandra. You're hallucinating. I'm not Mikael, I'm not here to hurt you. I'm Kol and I'm here to protect you. –I shook her. Alexa closed her eyes and then she opened them, when she did it she looked lost.

- Kol? –she looked at me. –What is going on? Why is there blood on you neck? And on your shirt? –her hand went to her mouth.

- You were hallucinating. You thought I was Mikael and you attacked me, you were ready to kill me.

- What? –she was breathing heavily. –I'm… I'm sorry, Kol. I didn't mean to hurt you. –she cried. Her emotions were all over the place at this moment.

- Shhh! It's okay. –I hugged her. –It wasn't your fault. –It's okay. –I stroked her hair and kept her close to my body. She pulled away and she stared at me. I wipe away the tears with one finger.

- You will have to lock me in the cellar or somewhere.

- That will not be necessary. –I said.

- It will be. I don't want to hurt you. You know this will happen again and it will get worse.

- Calm down, okay? Nothing is going to happen.

- It will soon arrive to my heart. –she looked at the wound. It was getting bigger and it looked horrible. –It hurts too much, Kol. –I saw how the veins under her eyes appeared and let out a loud groan. –I'm in so much pain. –she flashed away and crashed against the wall. She let herself fall on the floor and hugged her arms tight, she even bled. I ran to her and grabbed her arms, making her stop.

- Stop Alexandra, stop hurting yourself. –I pulled her closer to my chest, so her back rested on it.

- It's too warm and I'm in so much pain. I want it to stop. –he breathing increased. I touched her forehead, her temperature had risen. I quickly stood up and called one of the maids. She came running to the bedroom.

- Prepare a very cold bath. –the maid did as I said and when she finished preparing everything, she had even called more of the service to help her bring ice for the bath.

I heard Alexa complain and I quickly bent down and picked Alexa up and I flashed to the bathroom.

I didn't think it twice and got into the bath with her. I could feel the cold ice water.

The moment we got in I heard Alexa sighing in relief.

s too warm and I'

- Is it getting better? –I put a hand on her forehead and noticed her temperature was going down again. She just nodded at my question and let her back rest on my chest. I put my chin on top of her head and stroked her right arm. –Everything will be okay. –I closed my eyes and fell a tear rolling down my cheek.

We spent half an hour in the bath, until Alexa felt a little bit better, but not too much. She changed her clothes and was now lying on the bed. I had brought her some blood. She was hungry. But she tried to drink slowly; she didn't want it to come out again.

I just lay there with her.

- I'm tired. –she said and rested her head on my chest. I stroked her back.

- Then sleep. –I smiled weakly at her.

- Stay with me. –she said in a whisper.

- I won't leave. I promise. Just sleep, I'll be here when you wake up. –I kissed the top of her head.

She finally drifted off to sleep. She was exhausted and the wound was getting worse. I didn't know what to do.

I just couldn't let her die. I hated seeing her suffering.

But I was slowly giving up, even if I didn't want to. There was nothing I could do to save her, nothing worked and when I though about losing her I felt furious.

Why was this happening to her? She didn't deserve it.

I closed my eyes and swore to myself that I would kill all the werewolves that were around if something happened to her.

I was so concentrated in my thoughts that I didn't hear someone approaching the door until it got kicked open causing a loud noise.

- Hello, brother.
