XLVIII.

Kagome was in the Kohaku's room with Sango waiting for him to wake up.

Sango looked at her sadly, "I have no idea what to tell him Kagome."

Kagome sighed, "I think I have an idea of what you could tell him."

Sango gave her a hopeful look, "Really Kagome what is it?"

Kagome gave her a soft smile, "You could tell him that all of you were summoned on a different mission and everyone was killed. He was knocked out and was the only one you were able to save. Since all of your strongest slayers were away fighting that demon a herd attacked the village and killed all of the villagers. That you had hunted down the one that had killed your team and injured him along with the help of some friends. If he asks where he was during all this tell him that the Lord of the West was kind enough to take you both in and tend to his needs."

Sango smiled happily, "That sounds amazing Kagome and something that is believable."

Kagome smiled softly at her, "I had been thinking about that for a while just in case something happened and all of his memories where erased."

Sango threw her hands around Kagome's neck in a fierce hug, "Thank you so much Kagome you have done so much for me and I love you."

Both of them snapped their heads to Kohaku when they heard a groan coming from his direction.
