Sorry for the shortness and for the long update time. I couldn't figure out how I wanted to start this one...and then I figured it out. This is the morning after the Jaegers and Kaiju have left. Hope you like it!

I own nothing.

Chapter 54

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!

Raleigh gave a dark growl, his dark blue gaze cracking open as he rolled over to smash the sleep button, while releasing his hold on Mako.

"I'm gonna have to get me a new clock," he thought bitterly, as he repeatedly swatted at the timer, "One that doesn't have that godda…"

His hand clipped the note, sending the pendant clattering to the ground with a bell-like ring.

Raleigh frowned, sitting up and looking at the Gipsy Danger pendant lying on the floor, the soft brown leather chain framing the silver metal call sign in a thin halo.

"Raleigh?" Mako murmured, her eyes fluttering open, missing the familiar and welcome warmth of his arm around her waist.

Raleigh didn't answer. He swung his legs around and let his bare feet touch the freezing concrete floor. He gently picked up the pendant, letting it dangle freely from his hand as he held it up to eye level, watching it gently turn and catch the light.

His gaze then landed on the note and he picked it up, reading it.

The American's eyes widened and his jaw set as he gripped the paper tighter. He reread it once, twice, three times…

And he still couldn't believe what he was reading.

Suddenly the door banged open and Chuck stormed through, Striker's pendant clenched in his right fist while Herc followed, a note in his hand.

"What is the meanin' of this, Ray," Chuck snarled.

"Meaning of what?" Mako asked, completely in the dark as Raleigh stood, using his one inch difference in height to his advantage as he glared down at Chuck.

"Striker's gone missin'," Chuck snapped, his burning blue gaze zeroing into Raleigh's, "An' he's been 'angin' out with your Jaeger, Ray,"

"Chuck, I've told you a thousand times," Raleigh seethed, icy venom dripping from his voice, "It's Raleigh, not Ray. And don't look at me for answers about Eureka's wherebouts. If anything I should be asking you where Gipsy is!"

At this point, Herc separated the two Rangers.

"Gipsy's missing too?" he asked.

"And I almost bet that the other Jaegers are as well," Raleigh said calmly, "Something I was going to tell you about…if someone hadn't come in and accused my Gipsy of messing around with his Jaeger,"

"Careful what ya say, Rahleigh," Chuck growled, "That's my brother you're talkin' about,"

"And you were talking 'bout my little sister,"

Chuck opened his mouth to say something…but was nearly knocked flat by a frantic red-haired, green-eyed woman who was followed calmly by Stacker.

"Coyote and Tacit are gone," Tamsin stammered, "They…"

"Left their call-sign and a note?" Herc supplied, "Yeah, we got 'em too,"

"And the others?" Stacker asked calmly…only to have the triplets force their way in.

"Mei," Jin started, "Is-"

"Frantic," Hu continued, "because-"

"Crimson left," Chueng finished.

"Cherno is gone too," came Aleksis' rumble as he, Sasha and Anya came in, Sasha's shoulder's heaving in silent sobs as Aleksis held her, "Natasha called. Said Cherno's pendant was in her hand when she woke up this morning,"

"But why?" Mako asked, "Why would they leave without saying goodbye?"

"But they did," Raleigh said, "They told us in their own way…but where are they going? Gipsy never said,"

"We…could ask Newton," Aleksis suggested, "I saw him running like chicken with head cut off…looking for three of Kaiju teenagers,"

"Three…not four?" Herc asked.

"Da…"

"Who stayed then?" Stacker murmured.

"Does it matter?" Jin demanded, "Those Kaiju are connected mentally just like the Jaegers are…whichever one is here…"

"Would be able to tell us where they went!" Tamsin beamed, "And then we can bring them back!"

"Well then, let's go see a Kaiju," Raleigh nodded.

Otachi crossed her arms irritably. Ever since Newt had woken up and discovered that the others were gone…things had been…well, boring and frustrating didn't even begin to describe it. She was not allowed to leave the lab until he found the others…and he had put Hermann on Kaiju-sitting duty until he got back.

The female Kaiju took her long, iron-grey hair and started braiding it out of sheer boredom…she could feel the uneasiness from her fellows as easily as she could feel the silky strands in her fingers, the cold metal of the table she sat on, the tiny kicks of the life inside her.

"I think it would be wise if we got you somewhere more comfortable to sit," Hermann told her, "You must be cold,"

"If this is some way to get me to talk and tell you where they went…forget it," Otachi hummed, closing her yellow and blue eyes and tilting her head upwards so that her face was bathed in the cool air coming from the vents.

"I'm speaking from a scientific viewpoint, Otachi," Hermann growled, "Based on your biology, you should be getting sluggish since you are…were…cold-blooded,"

Otachi gave a rippling laugh.

"Do I look cold-blooded to you?" she snorted, "What, you expect me to lay an egg or something? Come here and feel the little monster kicking…I swear he or she might break a rib!"

She gave a small smile.

"They're going to be strong…just like their father,"

"Otachi!" a different male voice called as the doors opened and the Rangers all poured in.

"Ah, if it isn't Redihantoresu's masters," the female Kaiju smirked, "And the other Jaegers' masters as well,"

"Cut the chit chat, Otachi," Raleigh growled, "I just want to ask you something,"

"If it's about where they are…I'm not telling,"

"Otachi!"

Otachi gave a wicked smile and crossed her arms, performing a zipping motion over her lips.

Raleigh's eyes darkened angrily…but then brightened in an evil gleam.

The same one that Gipsy got when she got an idea that would make someone very embarrassed.

"Octavia Claire Marie Yvern," Raleigh said with steely sternness.

Otachi gave a threatening hiss, her fingernails extending into talons at the mention over her human name.

"You will tell us where they are," he finished.

"NO!" Otachi snarled, "I refuse Raleigh Becket, I promised Redihantoresu,"

Mako touched Raleigh's shoulder, right as the blond's eyes flashed.

"Raleigh…" she started.

"What?" he growled.

"She's already given us everything we need to know," Mako stated.

"…How?"

"They wouldn't have left her behind if they were just messing with us. She and Leatherback are inseparable…and he's nowhere to be found. It was too dangerous where they were going," Mako explained, "They did not want to risk the baby, so they made her stay. Am I right, Otachi,"

The yellow gaze turned dim as Otachi bowed her head in defeat.

"The question is…where did they go?" Mako asked.

"It's not like she's gonna tell us," Herc stated.

"Not on your short little human life," Otachi spat, angry that she had been bested by one of the pests.

"She doesn't need to," Raleigh murmured, closing his eyes, "I know where they went,"

"What?" Chuck demanded.

"They went to attack the Breach," Raleigh explained, "Gipsy got tired of the Enemy attacking her and her 'family'…she's a Becket. She's not going to take it sitting down,"

"Raleigh," Mako said, voice hoarse as she grabbed his arm, "We have to stop her! She could be killed!"

Raleigh's blue gaze landed on her, full of pain and defeat.

"She'll be killed if we try,"

Now that that's over...I need your guys' help. I know what I want to happen in the next chapter...it's just figuring out the right start that's going to be hard. So if anyone has any ideas...please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE! let me know!

Anyway, hope you liked it. If you did, please let me know!
