Idris walked with Bard helping gather supplies and make ready for their journey to Dale. She helped up an older woman getting her settled into a make shift crutch then grabbed some blankets bundling them up tight as she walked.

"Take only what you need, we have a long march ahead." Bard told everyone.

"Where will you go?" Legolas asked him.

"There is only one place." Bard replied looking to the mountain.

"The mountain." Alfrid said standing to his feet. Both Brad and Idris rolled their eyes in annoyance at the sound of his voice. "You are a genius sire. We can take refuge inside the mountain. It might smell a bit of dragon, but the women can clean that up. It'll be safe warm dry…full of stores…bedding, clothing…the odd bit of gold."

"What gold is in that mountain is cursed." Bard turned to Alfrid with a glare. "We will only take what was promised to us." Bard shoved a bundle of wood and an axe into Alfrids hands. "Only what we need to rebuild our lives."

Bard turned walking away as Alfrid looked down at the bundle in disgust.

"Here." Alfrid shoved off the burden into an old woman's arms. "Pull your weight."

"Alfrid." Idris said from behind him, her tone dark and edged with threat as she took the bundle from the woman with a kind smile then turned to Alfrid shoving it back into his arms hard. "You want to eat, be warm, have shelter, and protection, then you work for it." Idris glared causing Alfrid to flinch back. Then she smiled wickedly poking him in the neck. "Just remember Alfrid, the only thing between you, a short drop, and a sudden stop is Bard and myself."

Idris turned on her heel leaving behind a very pale faced Alfrid and joined back up with Bard as they passed the elven prince once again.

"News of the death of Smaug will have spread through these lands." Legolas said causing them to stop.

"Aye." Bard said.

"Others will now look to the mountain for its wealth for its position." Legolas walked over to them.

"What is it you know?" Idris asked meeting his gaze.

"Nothing for certain, it is what I fear may come." Legolas replied and Idris felt her blood run colder than ice. She quickly turned from the elf and walked away as fast as she could, the memories, the nightmares flashing before her eyes which filled with tears.

"Idris." Bard said in concern as he followed her gently stopping her with a hand on her shoulder. She turned looking up at him and he knew then without a doubt what Legolas was talking about. He wrapped his arms around her holding her close kissing the top of her head as she nuzzled against him.
