Chapter 51: Informant

As soon as I saw the person that was waiting for Zelda back at her place, I immediately got very frightened because this person obviously wasn't a hylian if he was outside on his own and nobody paid any mind, even though the violet, hooded robe he wore made it impossible to tell. What did he want? Was he one of the people who saw the three of us chasing after the thieves? Was he there to try to impose some sort of slave restriction law that we didn't know about? I looked towards the other Links, but they seemed to be just as confused as me. Thankfully, I was able to read Zelda's excited face and tell that it was alright.

After all, if she was getting excited over seeing this guy, then it obviously meant that he was one of her informants or something. As she got out, she was absolutely beaming and she immediately approached him and began conversing.

"Hey there, Zelda. Long time no see."

"Yes, Ravio, it's good to see you too."

"I heard you were back in town. Your little heroes made quite a commotion downtown, you know."

"Oh, I know. Personally, though, I think they did a great job."

"Yeah, those thieves were causing a lot of trouble for everyone, weren't they?"

"Why yes, they were. I didn't expect them to come after me, though."

"That's what everyone says, and then guess what? They get robbed. Hey, mind if I come in?"

"Not at all, please do." As the exchange went, the three of us Links stood there, wondering what was going on. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the hood of his robe seemed to make a distorted, but distinct face of sorts and there were actually a couple of… things sticking up that resembled rabbit ears. I also saw an odd looking scarf that was wrapped around his neck, what with its two different shades of grey that alternated between each other. Overall, he struck me as a very weird person, even despite the fact that we were from different dimensions.

Either way, he took on Zelda's offer almost immediately. As expected, though, the other Links and I all held the doors open for them. As he passed by, he made a remark about us being kind, but I just figured that he was simply trying to be polite, no matter the situation. It seemed as though he was simply timid, therefore explaining why he felt the need to do that. Either way, though, the lack of hylians to come and greet us when we entered sent enough of a message about this person. After all, I knew very well that the other hylians were more than capable of seeing who was in front of the mansion before they came in.

"This is your first time in here, right Ravio?"

"Yeah, and I've gotta say that you're sure as heck living in style."

"Why thank you." Another exchange went while Zelda led the way into the dining room in order to discuss whatever she needed to discuss with him. Judging by the fact that she actually let him in, I assumed that she trusted him well enough. However, that didn't mean that any of us would relax. I couldn't put my finger on it, but there was just something very… off about this guy. I supposed that the other Links felt the same, but I couldn't confirm my thoughts as the three of us followed Zelda and this 'Ravio' into her living room to chat.

"Now, Ravio, let's get down to business. You're obviously here because you've got some information for me, is that right?"

"Oh, yeah. Of course! It's not very big, but given the type of information that you said you were looking for, I figured this might be useful in at least some way."

"Let's hear it!" While saying that, Zelda motioned for the other Links and me to sit down. Apparently, this could take a while.

Not gonna lie, I almost forgot to at least reference ALBW with something like this. No, Ravio won't be a huge part of anything. He's just kind of making a cameo. :/ Anyway, Please tell me what you thought of this via a review and I'll see you all next week! :D
