A/N: Scorpius/Lily Luna for Voldy The No Nosed Wizard.

"Lily, can I tell you a secret?"

"Of course."

"No one can know."

Lily looked a bit hurt. "I'm your girlfriend, Scor. You should know that your secret is safe with me."

Scorpius took a deep breath.

"ImnotsupposedtobeinSlytherin," he let out in one go.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"I'm not supposed to be in Slytherin," Scorpius repeated. "I'm only a Slytherin because I asked to be."

"Really? Then what house did the Sorting Hat want to put you in?"

Scorpius groaned. "Gryffindor. Can you imagine? My Dad and Grandfather would have gone berserk. I guess that they might live with me being put in Ravenclaw and they might even have gotten used to a Hufflepuff, but a Gryffindor?"

"Well, Gryffindor is good as well, right?"

"Easy for you to say, you're from a family of Gryffindors, of course they wouldn't mind at all had you been placed in Gryffindor. My family have all been Slytherins, Mum, Dad, all of my grandparents, my aunts... So I asked the Sorting Hat if it could put me in Slytherin."

Lily nodded. "I can understand that." She hesitated. "Shall I tell you a secret as well? I'm not supposed to be a Slytherin either."

Scorpius looked surprised. "Really? Or are you just saying that to make me feel better?"

She punched him mildly. "Of course not. No, the Sorting Hat wanted to place me in Hufflepuff."

"Your brother's a Hufflepuff too, so why did you ask for it to put you in Slytherin?"

"You know my cousin Lucy? She was a year ahead of you."

"Yes, I remember her. I remember the stories. It was quite a shock for your family that she was sorted into Slytherin, if I'm not mistaken."

"No, you're right. My Dad and my aunt Hermione had always told us that Slytherin was just as good a House a any, but a lot of my Uncles disagreed with them. So you can imagine their reaction."

"I do, but I still don't see what that has to do with you." He looked confused.

"I asked to be placed in Slytherin so she would no longer be the only one of the family to be wearing the green."

Scorpius was silent for a moment. "That was a nice thing to do. Very Hufflepuff of you," he grinned.

"Oh shut up," Lily grinned as well. Then she became serious. "You can't tell anyone. I don't want Lucy to find out."

"Don't worry, I won't."

Scorpius grinned again and raised his glass. "Well, to Slytherin then."

They both started to laugh.

"Yes, let's toast to Slytherin," Lily said. "For being the best adoptive House anyone could wish for."

"I was gonna say for bringing us together."

"Yes of course, that too." Lily kissed him. "That too."
