(Here's the epilogue to the first installment of my A New Breed saga. Oh, I'd like to ask everyone who didn't review the last chapter to do so before reviewing the epilogue. Apologies if that's petty, I just worked a long time on that chapter and I would just like to hear everyone's thoughts and comments on that, if it's not too much to ask. Sorry if that's desperate…I was just kinda disappointed when some people didn't review the chapter with the fight scene when Lucas was once again under the control of Weapon X when they ordered him to attack Laura, White Tiger, and Spider-Man. Sorry if that's petty, I would just like to get everyone's feelings on it. Anyways, hope you all enjoy this.)

Epilogue

(Manhattan, S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy, a few days later)

Director Fury sits in his office, his fingers touching his forehead and cheeks. He contemplates the events of the day Death Cat jumped off the cliff, his jaws and claws latching onto Sabretooth. He had talked to Wolverine about it.

(Several minutes after Death Cat and Sabretooth fell down the cliff, outside the Alkali Lake Weapon X Base)

Wolverine is standing in front of Director Fury.

"He really did it, huh? I knew he was crazy." Director Fury said.

"Crazy like you and me, Fury. Like him or not, you can't deny…the kid had guts." Wolverine replied.

Director Fury looked at Wolverine, then his eye shifted to look off seemingly into space.

(Present)

Director Fury sighs.

"Logan was right…I didn't really like him…but jumping off a cliff…saving my kids…stopping those Weapon X motherfuckers…that took grit…and a lot of heart…damn it." Director Fury mumbled to himself.

He rubs his forehead, groaning. There's a knocking at his door.

"Come in." Director Fury said.

Phil Coulson enters the office.

"The prisoners are ready for transport…are you sure you want to do this?" Phil Coulson stated.

"I don't give a damn what anyone else will say…this needs to be done." Director Fury stated.

Phil Coulson nodded. Director Fury got of his chair and walked out the door, Coulson following him. After several minutes they arrived at an armored prisoner transport truck. The Professor, Sutters, Dr. Cornelius, and Zander Rice stand outside of it in cuffs. A few S.H.I.E.L.D. squadron soldiers stand beside them.

"You four will be transported to a high security prison, far from civilization." Director Fury stated.

"I have to ask Director, where is Major Stryker?" The Professor asked.

"After we captured you and brought you back to the states, the government and military took him out of our hands for him to face justice amongst his peers." Director Fury replied, unable to help a hint of anger fuel his words.

The four smiled slightly, chuckling to themselves.

"I have to thank you again after saving us from those animals. If you hadn't been there-" The Professor started to say.

Director Fury smacked him with the back of his hand. The Professor grunted in pain and anger. He looked back at him.

"Shut up. You assholes have been a menace long enough. Kidnapping kids, torturing them…by God I'm tempted to blow your motherfucking brains out right now! You understand me, boy?" Director Fury snarled, his one eye and voice filled with anger.

"But you can't do that? Can you?" Zander chuckled, grinning smugly.

"Oh I actually could. I'm damn well within my rights. But that's not how this is going to work. You're going somewhere you can never hurt anyone again. That's enough for me. Get these shit stains out my sight. And as for Stryker, don't think he's out of my sights." Director Fury ordered.

One of the guards nodded. The four prisoners were placed into the back of the truck, locked with chains to ensure no escape. The guards then got into the truck.

(An unknown location, an hour or so later)

The four prisoners had fallen asleep. They had subtly discussed plans for various methods of escaping or preferably being freed from whatever prison they were being taken to. The doors to the back of the truck opened. The four men grunted and looked out. One of the guards stood just outside of the doors. They motion with their hand to get out. The four men looked out, seeing an approaching on late time and a wooded setting.

"Where are we?" Sutters grunted.

The guard motioned for them to get out. The three complied the guard aimed their gun at them.

"Ok, do we have to head on foot…or what?" Zander scoffed.

"Oh, we have something in mind." One of the guards said, her voice is very familiar.

"What? Who are you?" Sutters asked.

"You don't recognize me? Sutters?" The guard said, pulling off her helmet revealing herself to be Sarah.

"Sarah, how lovely to see you again." Dr. Sutters scoffed.

"The feeling isn't mutual." Sarah grunted, eyes narrowed in anger.

"Hello bitch." Zander hissed, grinning.

"Hell bastard." Sarah growled.

"I must say, Dr. Kinney, this is a surprise. Disguising yourself as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, most impressive. But as the Director himself said, we're being taken to a prison. And the other two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are beside you. Good try, my dear, but it's all for not." The Professor chuckled.

"Is it?" Sarah asked, pointing the barrel of the gun upwards.

The other guards take off their helmets, revealing themselves to be Laura, Wolverine, and Deadpool.

"Hey shit heads." Deadpool grunted.

"No." Dr. Cornelius whimpered.

"Oh yes. You're gonna pay for everything you've done. Tonight." Wolverine snarled.

"A lot of mutants are dead because of you assholes. And we lost the kid because of your fucked up schemes. Tonight, all those plans of yours end." Deadpool scoffed.

"You're gonna shoot us down here like animals?" Dr. Sutters replied, anger and fear in his voice.

"You're not animals, you don't deserve to be compared to them." Wolverine grunted, his voice filled with disgust.

Deadpool aimed a gun and fired at the chains holding the men's legs. Sarah put back on her helmet.

"Here's what going to happen: you four will be given guns and a head start in your run. Then Laura and I are coming after you." Wolverine snarled.

From somewhere unknown, Deadpool tossed four pistols to the ground in front of the men.

"Don't even think of shooting me. This armor is bulletproof and my gun is a lot bigger than yours." Sarah snarled, hands on her assault rifle.

"You can't expect us to do this?! You all are insane! This isn't fair!" Dr. Cornelius cried out.

"You monsters will just attack us as soon as we turn our backs! There's no chance for us!" Zander shouted, anger and fear in his voice.

"We will give you a head star…and it's far more of a chance than Lucas got." Laura hissed, a tear rolling down her face.

"Director Fury lied to us!" Dr. Sutters grunted.

"He knew you four were too dangerous to be imprisoned. Weapon X has destroyed and enslaved, it's time the heads of the organization pay. Stryker won't be far behind, but you all will go first." Sarah stated.

"Don't think of even trying to come after Sarah, I'm staying with her. I'd gladly gut you four. But that honor I save for the father-daughter duo." Deadpool grunted.

"Pick up the guns and run. Now." Sarah said.

"If we don't die by these monsters' claws, we'll be eaten by some other animal." Dr. Sutters pleaded.

"You four are too foul for any animal to want to eat." Wolverine growled.

The four men looked at one another.

"Go. Now." Wolverine snarled, extruding his claws.

The four men gasped. They picked up the guns and ran off. After several minutes Wolverine nodded to Laura.

"Ready kid?" Wolverine asked.

Laura nodded to him. Laura extruded her hand claws. The two rushed off in the direction the four men ran in. After a few minutes, Sarah and Deadpool heard gunshots then pained and terrified screaming.

(Queens, the Parker House)

Peter lays on his bed. He is alone in the house as his aunt is out on a date with Coulson, stating she'd be back to the house late at night or even possibly the next day. His eyes are closed. He is still healing from his fight with Weapon X. Sabretooth's attack caused serious damage. He had healed some, but his healing factor paled in comparison to Wolverine and Laura's.

"How did it all go so wrong?" Peter sighed.

There is a knocking at the door. He walks downstairs and opens the door. Ava stands in the doorway.

"Ava? Wh-What are you doing here?" Peter asked.

"We need to talk." Ava said.

"Huh? Oh…sure. Come in." Peter said, moving aside.

Ava walks in and Peter shuts the door then locks it. They both sit down on the couch.

"Ava…with what happened on the mountain…I…I just want to say…" Peter sighed.

"Peter…what you said…I'm glad you did. Frankly, it's been very irritating you took so damn long…" Ava grunted.

"Huh? What do you-" Peter gasped.

"I forgot how dense you can be. I love you Peter. To be perfectly clear, with what happened with Kraven…I liked you before that actually, but that night changed things for me. Your respect for me, your admiration, compassion, and willingness to help…my feelings evolved." Ava interjected.

(Whoa.)

Peter blushes madly, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"I guess…with the Weapon X head base…something finally made things clear for me…we've had our moments before…I guess that night really did alter things." Peter said.

"I think what Lucas said to Laura…before…before he…I saw the pain he felt…and felt Laura's pain…I could tell she liked him…but Lucas saying that…and what he did not to just protect us…but her…and seeing Laura's reaction…I felt…if you had died…I don't know what I would've done in response." Ava replied.

Peter puts a hand on one of Ava's hands. They smile.

"You were there to protect me…even though Sabretooth was vicious, I know he couldn't have handled you at full force." Peter chuckled.

"You're damn right." Ava chuckled, grinning.

"Nevertheless…with what happened…I did feel like I'd die there…I…I needed to say something…I needed to tell you." Peter said.

"I'm glad you did." Ava replied.

Ava kissed him. Peter's eyes widened in surprise, but kissed lovingly back. Ava parted from him, smirking at him. Ava grinned as she dragged him up the stairs. Peter blushes madly, eyes wide.

"Ar-Are you serious about this?" Peter stammered.

"If I've learned anything from what's happened, letting one's emotions and instincts to be out in the open is something that shouldn't be denied. This being the animal part of ourselves." Ava chuckled, a hungry growl in her voice.

Peter's eyes widen in surprise at that, blushing more heavily.

"Is this the girl or the tiger?" Peter gasped.

They made to just outside of Peter's room. Ava grabs the front of his shirt, grinning.

"Oh the tiger is fired up, but the girl also wants this." Ava chuckles, grinning.

She kisses Peter again and pulls him into the room, shutting the door behind them.

(An unknown location, the next day)

Logan, Laura, Deadpool, and Sarah are in a truck, driving down a road.

"Where are we going?" Laura asked.

"You'll see, kid." Logan replied.

"Not the answer I was looking for…and why are we doing this anyways? We go back to Alkali Lake, find Lucas's body, and…bury him…beside his mother…and burn that bastard Sabretooth." Laura grunted, arms crossing and slightly baring her teeth.

"We have no idea where they landed Laura, and the climb down that mountain is dangerous. Trust me, I've nearly fell off mountains I've climbed and the landings wouldn't have been pretty...I want to bury the kid too…but this needs to done…don't worry, you'll come to be glad for this." Logan said.

"Wolvie, are you taking us to the-" Deadpool started to ask.

"Wade. Don't." Logan grunted.

"What? What is this?" Laura growled.

"Just wait Laura, you'll see." Sarah said.

Laura grumbled, but nodded. After a few minutes Laura sees a mansion. They drive through the gates. Laura catches a glimpse of carved writing in stone one half of the gate connects too yet couldn't read it before they made it through. They drive up towards the stairs leading up to the front door. The four exit the truck.

"What is this place?" Laura asks.

"You'll see kid." Logan chuckles.

The four walk up the stairs and Logan opens the door. They enter the mansion and Logan closes the door behind him. Laura's eyes widen while she looks around. Kids and teens of varying ages walk around, some look human while others hold various physical appearances and/or do incredible things: some have gills, wings, rock like skin, fly, etc. A group of older individuals approach the group: a black woman with white hair, a blue furred man with ape-like physical features, a tall, muscular man whose skin shifts suddenly into metal, a girl walking through walls, a man wearing sunglasses that glow red, a redheaded woman, a young man with blue skin, pointed ears, and a long pointed tail, a young man whose boy who shifts into an icy form of himself, a Japanese woman with eyes that suddenly glow purple, a young man with a streak of white through her brown hair, a man with a roguish look with brown hair and red eyes, a man with white wings, and a young Chinese woman with a shock of dark hair while chewing then blowing out gum. They stand before them, smiling. Laura grunts in confusion.

"Who are you people? What is this place?" Laura snarled.

The group standing in front of them open up space in the middle. A bald man in a wheelchair with a smile on his face approaches them.

"Hello Laura, we've heard quite a bit about you." The man said.

"Who are you?" Laura grunted.

"My name is Charles Xavier; this is the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters." Charles said, smiling.

Laura grunted, studying him.

'I know you're confused Laura. I know the pain you've suffered and the losses that have been dealt to you.' Charles said without moving his mouth.

"H-How? How did you do that?" Laura growled, eyes wide with surprise.

"I am a mutant, like you. My mutant power is telepathy, as you've just learned. Here mutants come to learn, train, and grow with their powers by coming to understand themselves. You are safe here Laura." Charles explained.

"I doubt that." Laura scoffed, crossing her arms.

"Logan, it's good to see you. I'm…I'm sorry to hear…for all of you…I'm sorry to hear about Lucas." Charles said.

Laura's hands claws extruded. She snarled at Charles. Logan put a hand on Laura's shoulder.

"It's ok, Laura. I told him. These are good people; you can trust them…I do." Logan said, reassuring Laura.

Laura grunted then retracted her claws.

"It's good to see you too, Chuck." Logan said, eyes shifting to the man in the wheelchair.

Charles nodded.

"Dr. Kinney, pleased to meet you." Charles said, shifting his gaze to her.

"The feeling's mutual. I…I guess you know-" Sarah sighed.

"Yes…I know…but I also know what you did for Laura and Logan. You have no need to feel unwelcome here." Charles replied, smiling.

"Thank you." Sarah replied, smiling.

"Mr. Wilson, it's been awhile." Charles said.

"Yeah…hey guys…don't worry, I won't be here long…just here to see the kid off then I'll leave…" Deadpool sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Logan also told me about what you've done. Helping him and Laura, helping to protect mutants from those who would harm us…you are not an enemy…you are a friend." Charles replied.

"Really?" Deadpool gasped, eyes wide.

"Yes. And as Logan himself requested, you are offered membership." Charles replied.

"Really?! Logan?! You did?! Oh thank you!" Deadpool gasped, tears rolling under his mask.

Logan nodded to him.

"To the school? Really?" Laura grunted.

"Oh I'm talking about something connected to that, but something else. I'm talking about the X-Men, Laura. These people you see before you, and Logan himself, are a group of mutants who defend and fight for mutant rights. They are a group of mutants and even mutates, now with Deadpool, who seek to defend and realize peace between mutants and humans in the world. And you are also welcome to join them." Charles explained.

Laura looked around her, seeing smiles and welcoming visages from everyone around her (including Logan). Laura looks back at Charles, a tear rolling down her face.

"Welcome to the X-Men…and welcome home." Charles said, a smile on his face.

(An unknown location)

Snow falls on a twisted form, blood dried on its form. Yellow hair or fur shifts in the breeze. A broken clawed hand is twisted in a horrific fashion. A head with blonde hair, fangs in its mouth is bloodied horrifically. Next to this body, an impression in the snow beside it laid there with drag marks which changed to footprints in the snow leading away from the site.

(Another unknown location)

An older man cleans some glasses at his bar. No one is there but him. He hears footsteps outside and hears what sounds like a grunt then something falling. The man pulls out a shotgun from beneath the bar. He makes his way outside and looks down. The form of a young man lies in the snow. He hurries back into the bar, puts away his gun, then goes back outside and drags him inside. He lays him against a wall. The young man is where something odd, like a costume or uniform, but its torn. Dried blood paints the costume and the exposed parts of his flesh. He has tears and cuts on his face and torso.

"What the hell?" The man grunts.

The young man's eyes start to flitter open. He grunts in pain.

"Hey, easy there. You're banged up pretty bad, son. Looks like you got ran over by a tank. What happened? Who are you?" The older man asked.

"I…I don't know, bub…I don't know…" The young man answered.

THE END…for now…

(Thank you everyone who has read, reviewed, favorite, and/or followed this first part of my newest saga. It's been great to write this tale and even more so for it too go from originally possibly just a one-shot to now a saga. With that (and I'm sorry if I said this or not, I forgot) I won't be writing the alternate ending to the story as the very end of it would be different from this (with you know who also laying in the snow motionless as well, sorry). I will be continuing this saga when I can, this will be where I continue to work on my USM stuff for now. I'm sorry to those who thought I messed up on certain characters, especially with White Tiger and Spider-Man as possibly becoming lesser characters. I hope to fix that with the saga continuing. I also hope to continue with this saga as soon as I can. I hope you all enjoyed the first part of the A New Breed saga.)
