Under Different Circumstances
Bon Cop, Bad Cop
Jean-Pierre was lying on his couch, staring at his ceiling, bored beyond words. He had been planning to go outside, walk their dog and do some outside work, but it was raining hard. The weather wasn't inspiring and he just wanted to cuddle, under the blankets, all day, with Vincent, but his husband had gone out, to run some errands, and he was bored.
He was about to take a nap and hope to wake up, the following day, to bright sunshine, but just as he was about to fall asleep, the front door opened.
"Chuis rentré!"/ "I'm back!" Vincent said, joyfully, as he shook his umbrella out and removed his raincoat.
"Chu dans l'salon…"/ "I'm in the living room…" He called out to his lover. Vincent put his things away and walked over to Jean-Pierre. He plopped himself down next to him and Jean-Pierre instinctively wrapped his arms around him.
"Bonjour, homme de ma vie…"/ "Hello, man of my dreams…" Vincent told him, as he snuggled close, for warmth.
"Salut, mon coeur."/ "Hey, love." He buried his face, in his lover's hair.
"T'as l'air de t'enmerder toi, ça va?"/ "You seem bored, you okay?" Vincent asked, as he made himself more comfortable and caressed Jean-Pierre's face.
"T'as aucune idée… j'ai rien à faire…"/ "You have no idea… I have nothing to do…" The older man whined, while Vincent chuckled and pushed himself up, before he kissed his chin.
"Mmh, j'ai peut-être une petite idée, qui pourrait te garder occupé, pour quelques minutes…"/ "Mmh, I may have an idea that would keep you occupied, for a few minutes…" Vincent whispered to him, before peppering kisses, along his lover's jaw, until he had his lips on top of Jean-Pierre's. Jean-Pierre was quick to respond, leaning closer and deepening the kiss.
"J'aime bien…"/ "I like…" He murmured, against Vincent's lips.
"Ouais?"/ "Yeah?"
"Ouais…"/ "Yeah…" Jean-Pierre was about to pull Vincent back for another kiss, but Vincent smirked at him and sat up.
"Good, j'ai vraiment envie d'écouter un film avec toi."/ "Good, I really feel like watching a movie with you."
"F-film?"/ "M-movie?" Jean-Pierre asked, not sure he followed the mood of this conversation right.
"Mais oui, qu'ess tu pensais que j'voulais faire?"/ "Yeah, what did you think I wanted to do?" Vincent asked him, standing up. Even though he looked innocent, Jean-Pierre could notice the mischievousness underlined, in his lover's eyes.
"Rien… tu veux voir quel film?"/ "Nothing… what movie d'you wanna see?" He asked, as Vincent walked over to their DVD collection and started looking, for something to watch.
"Hmm… j'ai pensé à… oh! Bon Cop, Bad Cop, ça te va?"/ "Hmm… I thought of… oh! Bon Cop, Bad Cop, is that okay?" Jean-Pierre nodded and observed, as Vincent went to set up the DVD, bending over and giving him a nice view of his behind. It was a very nice view and Jean-Pierre felt no shame in looking.
"M'oui, ça m'va. Veux-tu du popcorn?"/ "Yeah, that's fine. D'you want popcorn?"
"Oui, ça s'rait gentil."/ "Yes, that'd be nice." Jean-Pierre waited for Vincent to be up, before going to the kitchen and starting the snack. By the time he put it in a bowl and was back, in their living room, the opening credits were rolling and he slid under the blanket Vincent draped over his lap. The two snuggled close and started watching the movie.
They ate the popcorn and Jean-Pierre leaned his head on Vincent's shoulder. By the time the bowl was empty and Vincent's hands were clean, he took to massaging Jean-Pierre's scalp and combed his fingers through the other's hair. Vincent knew Jean-Pierre loved it when he did that and it wasn't long, before his lover was snuggling closer and complete putty in his hands.
Vincent knew it calmed Jean-Pierre tremendously, when he did that and it was evident in the older man's eyes. They watched the movie in relative silence and they were both absorbed by it.
"Y devrait faire des films sur l'Ontario pis l'Québec plus souvent… c'est trop véridique."/ "They should make movies on Ontario and Québec more often… it's too true what they put in it." Jean-Pierre said, when the movie was over.
"Ouais, han? They certainly got the stereotypes right."/ "Yeah, eh?"
"Oui, c'est vrai que Toronto c'est plate."/ "Yes, it's true that Toronto is boring." Jean-Pierre teased.
"Mmh, pis c'est vrai que les gens d'Québec vivent dans le passé."/ "Mmh, and it's true that people from Quebec live in the past." Vincent retorted.
"Ben oui, "je me souviens"."/ "Of course, "I remember"." Vincent rolled his eyes and stuck out his tongue, at his husband, in a grimace.
"Pis que vous êtes encore entrain de brailler la perte des Nordiques."/ "And that you're still crying over the loss of the Nordiques."
"Toujours."/ "Always." They both looked at each other, before erupting into loud chuckles.
"En tout cas, t'as choisi un bon film, mon cœur."/ "Anyways, you chose a good movie, love."
"Merci, je sais que tu l'aimes."/ "Thanks, I know you like it." Vincent replied.
"Ouais, toi aussi tu l'aimes, pis dit pas l'contraire."/ "Yeah, you like it too, don't deny it."
"Non, non, je l'admets."/ "No, no, I admit it."
"David yé bad ass."/ "David is bad ass." Jean-Pierre said. Vincent quirked a brow at that.
"Badass?"
"Oui, badass. Yé cool."/ "Yes, badass. He's cool."
"Tu le trouves de ton goût?"/ "You find him to your liking?" Vincent asked ,with a teasing smirk.
"Ouais, vraiment de mon goût; c'est dommage que c't'un personnage fictif."/ "Yes, he's really my type; it's a shame he's only a fictional character."
"T'es tellement drôle toi."/ "You're so funny." Jean-Pierre smiled innocently at him.
"Je sais."/ "I know."
"Pfft, are you conceited, convinced or confused?" Vincent asked him.
"Huh?"
"Laisse faire; au moins David parle mieux anglais que toi."/ "Never mind; at least David speaks better English than you do."
"Ouch, coup dur, mon cœur."/ "Ouch, that hurt, love." Vincent smiled at him and kissed his chin, once more.
"Je sais."/ "I know."
"C'tait méchant."/ "That was mean."
"Je sais."/ "I know."
"Sais-tu dire autre chose?"/ "Can you say anything else?"
"Oui, oui."/ "Yes, yes."
"Oké good, j'pensais que l'chat avait volé ta langue."/ "Okay, good, I thought the cat caught your tongue."
"On a un chien, Jean."/ "We have a dog, Jean." This time, Jean-Pierre rolled his eyes.
"Très drôle."/ "Very funny." Vincent smirked at him, as he put the empty popcorn bowl down and twined his legs, with the ones of his partner, before getting closer to him.
"Je sais, pis de toute manière, c'est toi qui a ma langue."/ "I know, and anyways, you're the one who has my tongue." Jean-Pierre was about to ask what he meant by that, but Vincent then kissed him deeply and he understood perfectly well what he meant by his comment.
Jean-Pierre pulled the younger man closer to him and Vincent allowed him to do that.
"Tu sais qui d'autre est badass?"/ "You know who else is badass?" Vincent murmured to him, when they pulled away for air.
"Mmh? Qui d'autre?"/ "Mmh? Who else?" His lover asked him, too busy placing little kisses, on his neck.
"Toi."/ "You."
"Moi?"/ "Me?"
"Oui toi… quand tu veux."/ "Yes you… when you want." Vincent added, with a smirk.
"Comment, quand je veux?"/ "What d'you mean, when I want?" Jean-Pierre inquired, as he stopped with his ministrations. Vincent missed the physical contact, but it was worth it just to see the look, on Jean-Pierre's face.
"Bah oui, quand tu veux. Des fois t'es plus… faible."/ "Yeah, when you want. Sometimes you can be… weaker."
"Faible?"/ "Weak?" Jean-Pierre asked, disbelief evident in his face and voice. Vincent laughed. He loved toying with him and messing around, with his head.
"Oui, faible. Le Jean-Pierre Tremblay que je suis tombé amoureux de était beaucoup plus badass que toi."/ "Yes, weak. The Jean-Pierre Tremblay I fell in love with was much more badass than you." Vincent told him, as he poked his sides. Jean-Pierre took his hand and pulled his partner, on his lap. Vincent noticed that his lover's eyes had darkened slightly.
"Tu penses?"/ "You think?" The older man asked, as his hands started dancing, on Vincent's body.
"Non… j'le sais…"/ "No… I Know…" Vincent knew he was just egging his husband on, but it was always a lot of fun.
"Ch'peux te montrer que chu toujours aussi badass… Vincent."/ "I can always show you that I'm still as badass… Vincent" Jean-Pierre whispered huskily, in his ear, before nibbling on his earlobe, none too gently, causing Vincent to shiver.
"Sure you can do that?"
"Non… chu persuadé que ch'peux l'faire."/ "No… I'm convinced I can."
"Oh… that's good then…" Vincent replied, thickly.
"Ouais… pis tsé quoi d'autre on peut faire? Puisqu'y manque de films, sur les relations entre l'Ontario pis l'Québec?"/ "Yeah… and know what else we can do? Since there's a lack of films, on the relations between Ontario and Quebec?" Vincent moaned, as Jean-Pierre started kissing his way down his neck.
"N-non… quoi?"/ "N-no… what?"
"J'dis qu'on s'fait notre propre film… ch'pense qu'on connait l'mieux nos relations, han Vincent?"/ "I say we make our own film… I think we know best our relationship, eh Vincent?"
"Mmmh… ouais…"/ "Mmmh… yeah…" Jean-Pierre smirked against his skin and told him to go wait for him upstairs and to take the handcuffs out, as he went to get the video camera.
