Fucking damnit. It's worse than I thought.

Never Yasuo would imagined something like that. Of course, he knew that what tormented Yi was serious, not some mere matter. But hearing that it went to the point of seeking pain deliberately, it broke his heart. Yi had tried to hurt himself. Or did it already, who knows ? Yasuo hated to realize that he knew nothing at all of this, ignorant to such level. What if it had been going on just under his nose, without even noticing ? No wonder why Yi was so shaken right now. For someone so calm, showing the smallest kind of pain was the proof something was wrong. A full break down now, Yasuo couldn't tell how deep was the injury. Agonizing.

The latter didn't nod nor confirm the last ask but his changing stance due to Yasuo's reaction told everything. Yi was closing himself back, like he had said too much. Making himself smaller, gaze averted. This only showed that Yasuo was right, though he wished he wasn't.

So it's true…

It made him sick. To have that knowledge. To know Yi was so low but showed nothing of it on purpose. Yasuo had to check, see the wounds he never noticed, see the damage he could have prevented if he hadn't been so blind.

Even his vision in the dark wouldn't be enough, if he had to be very watchful. He stood up, went to switch on the light.

Just a few seconds but enough for Yi to make a move. Before he shielded himself from the light, he took a few steps toward the door, though facing Yasuo during it. Never letting him out of his sight, like a prey staring wearily at its predator. Yi still looked very distressed, surely not over the conversation, frame trembling. Red graced his cheeks but not for the usual reasons, more because of the weeping.

Yasuo felt bad for representing a danger. The other man was scared of him, putting some distance. Yi needed help, without a doubt. But he would run away as fast. Yasuo had to stop him from doing so, he wanted to make sure he was fine, at least physically. He's trying to flee…

« Don't. Stay here, please. »

The latter shook his head at the negative, slowly heading to the door. It meant something that he wasn't gone yet. Yasuo was very aware that he was the fastest warrior, running out of the house could be done in a blink without problem. But he didn't yet. I have to try. To see.

Another step away from him. Each one hurt Yasuo a bit more. No trust… ?

« Please. Don't run away. I can't bear that... » His voice got out slightly strangled, heavy with emotion. It was awful.

The tone must have touched Yi, maybe just a little. In any case, he stilled, very tense but not going away for now. Thanks the gods.

With cautious steps, Yasuo joined the latter. Distance closed, Yi didn't try to move when a hand carressed his face gently, an attempt at soothing.

« Thanks » Barely a whisper.

Then Yasuo got to work. He checked for potential wounds, suspicious scars, any clue he could find. But after baring Yi's arms, there wasn't any trace of harm, nothing to the wrists. Under his touch, the other man was getting restless, not voicing his confusion but already overwhelmed. Yasuo went looking elsewhere, aware that his actions weren't very comfortable for Yi but he had to appease his worry.

Opening the clothing, he felt Yi go stiff : « What are you doing ? » He asked, voice so unsure, beyond confusion.

« Scars. Where are you injuring yourself ? I can't find it. » Eyes alert, focused on Yi's body but not his reactions.

Nothing, just pale skin. Where is it ? It exists, I'm sure. But he hides it too well. This was maddening, Yasuo couldn't find anything.

« Stop that... » Yi made a first gesture to push him away. « You're wrong... »

« Don't. Even. Try. I know you're harming yourself. No need to hide that now. » Tone turning strict. This was a serious matter and Yasuo wanted to put some light on it. At least to mend what he could. But Yi made that difficult.

Yi watched him do a short time, conflicted emotions crossing his features. But Yasuo was focusing on something else, not paying attention to what the latter felt in this instant. Utterly exposed. He was searching for wounds that didn't exist, at least not over skin. Yi shaking got worse. Contact was getting horrible. Sensory overload. And Yasuo didn't know, too worried to look up from his task.

« That's not… what you think... » On the brink of shattering. « … I didn't cut myself or anything… I'm not allowed to. »

That's nonsense. Yasuo lifted his gaze to meet Yi's but he wasn't ready to see so much pain. It seemed that when the other man was done crying, it would go again and again, giving everything.

He didn't understand at all. It was clear that Yi had already inflicted himself a harsh treatment but there was no visible proof of it. And now he said that he didn't do such think. Another lie ? It seemed unlikely, yet the possibility was here. Yasuo would have to search further. Cold feeling in his chest, aching. Making sure Yi was always unharmed had nearly turned into an obsession, this time wasn't different.

So he kept looking. But all Yi could see was that Yasuo ignored him, didn't stop his actions. This was going over the limit, touch less than welcome under such tension. Cornered, searched, partially undressed. Now there wasn't even the craving for contact, gone. Yasuo was unaware of what he was imposing in this moment.

To the point of 'too much'. Frantic, Yi took his hands off him, pushing him away. « Stop that ! »

Huh ?

The quick move was a surprise to Yasuo, not really expecting strength to be used. He tried to go back to what he was doing, thinking to be close to find the truth.

« Get away from me ! »

That was the last warning before he received a punch to the face. Straight one, strong enough to hurt. Fuck ! Yeah, that hurt a lot, even more his ego. It left Yasuo a bit stunned, both from the pain and the fact that Yi just struck him. Yi, who hated useless violence, who always found a way with words to prevent it. Ah.

Yi, now watching him with something close to aversion in his gaze. No…

Then he ran out of the room, turning his back to Yasuo.
