I thought I'd treat you to an update, my lovelies. It's a random AU, since I can't really think of any episodes to base a one shot on. Thank you for the reviews and keep the Klaroline faith! We will have our day!

Is it a dream or is it real?
All I know is you make me feel so beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
You make me feel so beautiful (Feel like I could die)
Beautiful (Trust the grant of sky)
Beautiful (Baby I could cry)
You make me feel so beautiful

The sun shone bright in the sky, bathing everything in its soft glow, filling it with the power of the grace of the heavens. However, Caroline didn't seem to think so as she was laying on her back on the blanket in the middle of the woods. She had come out here to be alone with her thoughts, which were very numerous and it would take an entire day to think them through. No, scratch that, it would take centuries to think them through, and because she was a vampire, she had that kind of time. It was while she was thinking about it that Caroline felt something falling on her, something soft and velvety. Flower petals, and not just any flower petals, white rose petals.

Caroline picked up a petal that fell on her chest and wondered where they were coming from, especially since roses grew on bushes, not trees.

"I hope you don't mind the petals, love. I saw you laying there and I couldn't resist."

Hearing that accented voice above her made her look up and saw Klaus looking down at her, a smile stretched across his face and a twinkle in his greenish blue eyes. Of course, that man would seize any opportunity to be romantic. This is probably one of those opportunities, she thought.

"No, I don't mind them," she replied. "Though, I am sort of curious. Where did you find the bush these roses were growing on?"

"I have several growing in the garden at the mansion," said Klaus. "They're absolutely beautiful, just like the woman covered in their petals." He brushed some out of her hair. "It would seem that I'm right on both counts."

Caroline giggled at that and cleared her throat, not sure what the real reason was for his being here, other than wanting to join her so that she wasn't entirely alone. Still, it couldn't hurt to ask.

"Is there any particular reason why you're joining me out here?"

"Does a man need a reason to see his girl?"

"I suppose not," said Caroline. "Though, I do want to know."

"I saw you heading toward the woods and I followed you," said Klaus. "That was when I seized the opportunity to shower you with the petals."

Caroline shook her head, making no attempt to hide the laughter, causing him to raise an eyebrow at her. "May I ask what is so funny?"

"I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't be laughing," said Caroline, calming herself down. "It's just that...well, when I least expected it, I started thinking about you. Then, as if you read my mind, you showed up. So, it's funny in a good way."

"I guess they were right when they said great minds think alike," said Klaus. "And can I be so bold as to what sort of thoughts you were thinking about me?" He wagged his eyebrows as he asked that question to tease her.

Seeing him do that made her laugh again, this time covering her mouth with her hands. Calming herself down, she said, "Oh, they were the 'eyebrow wag' kind of thoughts. In other words, you and me making out on a blanket in the middle of the woods, and petals were falling out of the sky and landing all around us, making it look like a scene out of a romantic comedy."

Klaus smirked. "Well then, why don't we make that a reality, shall we?"

Before Caroline could respond, he pulled her close to him, kissing her passionately, taking some of the petals off the ground and sprinkling them around them. After a few minutes, they pulled back, breaking the kiss and looking into each others' eyes. It was quiet between them for a moment until Klaus spoke, seeing that Caroline looked speechless.

"How was that, love?"

Caroline licked her lips. "That was amazing. No, more than that, it was...oh, I can't think of another word besides amazing." She playfully slapped his arm. "See what you made me do? You made it impossible for me to come up with any more adjectives."

Klaus laughed as he felt her hit him. "I'm glad that I have that affect on you, sweetheart. Then again, you have that same affect on me. Only, instead of making it impossible to come up with adjectives, you somehow make my world a bit brighter."

Caroline didn't know what to say to that. So, instead of talking, she kissed him again, since it was the only thing she could really think to do in that moment. Then again, how could he not want to kiss him, especially since he was just so damn kissable? She loved everything about him, from his accent to his gorgeous body.

When they broke the kiss again a few minutes later, she wrapped her arms around him and snuggled against him. Klaus smiled and pulled her closer to him, kissing the top of her head, enjoying the smell of sandalwood, honey, lavender, and roses.

Note: Here you go, my loves, an update! Enjoy and never give up hope!
