Got a PM from Ninja Master asking me to write something like this. Here goes.

Chapter One: Onslaught

Justin sat with his sister on the deck of his house. The sun was shining and Alex was sunbathing. Her outfit was minimalist- Disney channel absolute lowest broadcast standard. She muttered to him, "When are you going to get up?"

Justin shrugged. It had been so long... he squinted, looking out on the lawn in front of him. So tired...

He could not remember the last time he was this happy. Heck, he couldn't remember being happyyyyyy, uh, ever! He sighed, trying to get up. The heat was so bad he could barely move. The wizard struggled and struggled. Alex rolled from her stomach to face him, sunglasses tipping down her nose at him condescendingly, "JUSTIN! When are you gonna get up!?"

Panic set in. As much as he wanted to stay down, getting up was unbearably difficult. Then he looked up. There was a monster on his stomach, it looked like a gargoyle snarling down at him. Justin could not breath, just gasp for air. He tried pushing with his arms, but they went limp. Two snakes burrowing under his skin suddenly erupted, sending inky blood everywhere.

Alex, non-plussed, came over, "Justin! Are you getting up or not?!"

Justin bolted awake with a yelp. Alex was looking down at him with... sympathy?

"I'm up! I'm up!"

She rolled her eyes, "And people say I'm lazy. You're too in love with your office to go home!"

His eyes rolled too, "No... I just don't have time anymore! Ugh... I thought Crumbs gave me this job out of appreciation. Now I'd just hand it off to anyone to just get rid of it!" He paused, seeing the sneaky look on her face, "Except you."

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?"

"It's too important," He sniffed, clearing his head, "What're you doing here anyways?"

She shuffled, "Uh, yeah... not my fault. You missed your own party. Mom's ticked and Dad... is ticked too, but Ma's the one you gotta worry about."

Her brother made a dismissive gesture with his hand. She felt her ire rise.

"Hey! I'm not here for help! You need correcting!" Alex then paused, "Actually, I do need some help. See, I sort of lost my powers a little while ago..."

That got his attention. Justin's eyes bugged, he slowly brought his head up in disbelief, "Wh-whaaaa-what?! How? What? Alex?!"
She shrinked back, "Sorry! It was an accident. Well, let's call it an 'Alexment' and move on."

He sighed, "Alright, I'll fix... however- whatever you've done. Tell Mom I'll be home soon."

Alex watched her brother with genuine concern. To be honest, she was a little scared. When her evil self had been on the loose... it showed her that Justin was so far removed from her brother Bad Alex had not even bothered to go after him. They used to be so close, and now that had all changed...

"When?"

Justin stopped, "I've got to change and nap, and then I'll be in." He went back to work.

"It's too bad you can't remove your need for sleep," She chuckled. As she left though, he thought over her words. Perhaps there was a way for him to have all the time in a day he could ever need...

A.N. My congrats to Ninja Master for coming up with this idea. You'll see where it goes... ;)
