"Did you see this?" The brow haired man asked his companion.

"What?" The blond woman asked confused "The shooting stars? Yes, Yes I see them…"

"No, not that!" the man said and pointed towards a hill "I meant that glowing behind that hill!"

"There was nothing… " The woman told him calm.

"Oh, c'mon! If there was nothing, we might as well check it out!" the man said "I even bet my remaining money!"

"You don't have any money left… as do I…" the woman told him with a sigh.

"Big Please?" the man asked with puppy eyes.

"Okay… but only to check if there really was something!" his companion said with a sigh and followed him up on the hill.

As they reached the top of the hill, they could see a person lying unconscious behind the hill.

The blonde woman didn't hesitate and ran down to check on the person.

"I told you it was no bad idea!" the man told her as he reached the person as well.

It was a brown haired boy, not older than seventeen. Half healed scars covered every visible part of his body except his head and palms.

"Oh god, what happened to him?" The woman asked shocked.

"Maybe he got into a fight…" the man suggested as he summoned his sword "But I've got a feeling he's too dangerous."

"Wait! I don't think he is on Chaos' side!" his companion told him, causing him to drop his plans.

"Okay… Point taken." The man said with a nod and started to gently poke the teen with his sword.

"What are you doing?" the woman asked her companion confused as she watched him.

"Try to wake him up?" the man replied continuing to poke the boy.

After a while of poking, his companion gently shoved him to the side and held her hand to the teen's throat.

"He has a pulse…" she said.

"Good to know…" the man said and held out his empty hand "Give me the water, please…"

"Here" his companion said as she handed him the water bottle from her bag.

"Thanks…" the man said and emptied the bottle over the unconscious's face.

"Hey!" the woman shouted at him "That was our last clean water!"

"Okay, one last try…" the brown haired man said as the boy didn't wake up.

The man started to slap the teen, but it seemed that the only response he received from the teen was that his head moved with each slap.

"Would you please stop hitting him?" his companion asked upset as she caught his hand before it reached the teen's cheek again.

"Fine…" the man said and lowered his arm, but still sat on top of the boy.

Suddenly, the teen opened his eyes and was fully awake. Within a blink of an eye, the boy managed to first punch the man in the side and then turn both around so he sat atop of the man. His weapon flashed into his hand and was immediately at the surprised man's throat.

"Who are you?" the boy asked angry.

"Whoa, sorry I slapped you!" the man gasped surprised as he realized that he was being surprised by the teen "But I'd take that fancy weapon of yours down…"

"Why should I?" the teen asked before he felt the cold steel of a sword gently touch his neck.

"Because he is not alone." The companion of the man told the boy.

With a sigh, the teen dismissed his strange sword and stood up, hands raised in defeat.

"Don't move. We both don't want what will happen if you do." The woman told him calm, her sword still at his neck.

"First." The man said as he summoned his own sword and pointed it at their hostage "What's your name, Spikey? Or don't you remember?"

"My name… It's Sora." The teen told him, looking the man in the eyes "What's yours?"

"Me?" the man asked surprised, but then pointed at himself with a smile "Name's Shin." He then pointed at his female companion "And that lovely thing with the giant sword is Terra"

"Great job…" the woman sighed.

"Ah, what now?" Shin asked surprised while still holding Sora at the tip of his sword.

"Now he knows our names!" Terra told him.

"Either he is on our side or he is dead, so what bad can it be to tell him?" Shin asked her.

Terra however didn't answer and instead looked around at the hills that surrounded.

"Manikins?" Shin suddenly asked her shocked.

The woman gave him a quick nod, her eyes not leaving the hills.

"What?" Sora asked confused.

"Shame… you seemed like a nice guy…" shin sighed and slowly increased the pressure on the sword against Sora's chest.

"Wait, what are you talking about?" Sora asked surprised.

"Shin lowered his sword surprised "You didn't lure the Manikins to us?"

"What ARE Manikins?" Sora asked, still confused.

"Crystalline creatures that possess the abilities of this world's heroes?" Shin said surprised, but then started to grin at him "Hey, you can proof to us you are on our side!"

Shortly after Shin said that, creatures that looked like crystallized humans, crept over the hill and surrounded them.

(FFVI - The Decisive Battle, Dissidia Final Fantasy)

Without hesitation, Terra jumped towards the oncoming Manikin's and attacked a one that looked like it had a tail.

One of the manikins, wielding a massive sword that looked very familiar to Sora, jumped towards Shin and almost chopped him in half. If he hadn't brought up his own sword in the last moment, there would have been two Shins.

"New Forms?" he gasped shocked as he pushed the manikin away.

"Watch out!" Terra warned as she managed to cut down an unprepared Manikin, that looked much like Lightning.

Sora ducked under the swing of a Manikin and then drove his Keyblade through him. He then saw a feral looking Manikin landing in front of him. At first he thought it was some kind of animal, before he realized that the dark purple Manikin had what should be spikey hair.

Spreading its claws, the Manikin leaped at him and managed to scratch over Sora's chest. Sora gasped in pain, but quickly drove his Oblivion into the Manikin.

To his surprise however, the manikin stood back up and leaped at him again, this time digging one of his claws deep in Sora's chest.

With a surprised gasp, he was thrown away by the Manikin, only to land in a whole group of them.

"There are too many!" Shin exclaimed as the Manikins threatened to overrun the remaining two.

Terra reacted quickly to her companion's struggle with the Manikins and casted a Flare that devoured a few of them.

Shin meanwhile somehow managed to reach the wounded Sora, who laid face down in the dirt.

"Hey, wake up!" he said as he turned Sora around.

"I- I'm awake…" Sora muttered as he tried to stand up.

"Whoa, what's that?" Shin asked surprised as he saw dark smoke rising from Sora's wounds.

"I can't hold it in…" Sora gasped shocked "Stay away from me!"

"You need to get healed! Ter-" Shin tried to tell him and call his companion, but was pushed away with extreme power.

"Stay away!" Sora yelled at him in a distorted, dark voice.

With a cry of pain, Sora turned into a shadow of himself. Before he knew what was going on, Shin was grabbed and thrown farther away by Anti-Sora.

"Shin!" Terra shouted as she saw her companion sail through the air and crash land in more Manikins.

The Darkness possessed Sora easily tore a line through the Manikins and even destroyed the Manikin that Terra was fighting.

Anti, however didn't seem to see a difference between the Manikins and her and tried to attack her. The young woman however managed to dodge the first attack and then jumped over a big part of the remaining Manikins to evade Anti.

Now being surrounded by Manikins, Terra immediately regretted doing this and struggled to keep away all the Manikins, even though they were easily cut down by her massive sword.

Suddenly, Anti landed right in front of her. With a deep growl, he lunged forward to attack her.

"Get down!" Shin yelled and pushed Terra down, while partially taking the blow himself.

Anti's claws cut open the jacket and shirt he was wearing and also made him bleed beneath it.

"Are you crazy?" Shin asked angry as he readied his sword to attack the Anti of Sora.

Witch another growl, Anti leaped at Shin.

"Spellblade: Firaga!" Shin yelled before Anti reached him and temporarily enchanted his sword.

As the two clashed, Shin sliced Sora over the chest area, but was hit right in the face by Anti.

Going down, Shin dropped his sword and collapsed.

Anti then proceeded to attack the remaining Manikins. The first Manikin attacked him with a wide variety of different weapons, that all floated around it. Anti just broke through the barricade of weapons the Manikin created. Grabbing the Manikin's chest, Anti fired a Dark Firaga at him, shattering into million tiny pieces.

Anti's raging came to a short stop as he spotted a Manikin that looked very familiar. Silver hair would have decorated his head if it wasn't crystal and were Way to Dawn should be in his hand, there was the Soul Eater. With a loud cry, Anti leaped at the Riku Manikin and drove his claws multiple times into him, as if he was trying to tear out Riku's heart. Blood was splashing as Anti drove both his hands into the Manikin at the same time, but it was his own. With a grunt, Anti ripped the Manikin apart and then looked at the remaining few Manikins.

He raised one hand and suddenly, Dark Tentacles shot out of the ground beneath the Manikins and crushed them.

(End The Decisive Battle)

"Stop it!" Terra, who helped Shin get back up and healed his wounds, told Anti "We are on your side, Sora!"

"It's two on one now, buddy." Shin said as he pointed his still enchanted sword at Sora.

Anti however only straightened his back and stood in a normal pose, staring at Terra. He grinned like a lunatic at her, revealing his pale white teeth. Before either Shin or Terra were able to attack him, the Darkness covered Sora collapse and the Darkness sunk back into him.

"Hey, wake up." Terra said while Shin eyed the teen suspicious.

"I think we better get rid of him." Shin said and summoned his sword again.

"Did you see what he did to this Manikins?" Terra asked him.

"I did, and you should feel the same as I do!" Shin told her.

"But…" Terra muttered.

"Look, we can only do two things…" Shin told her "Wait for him to wake up and attack us again, or leave him be and continue what we were send out to do."

Terra looked shocked and in disgust at him "He is a good person, I'm sure!"

"But we can't just-" Shin started to say, but then stopped "You want us to carry him along?"

Terra slightly shook her head, but her eyes told Shin he guessed right.

"Okay, you want me to carry him, right?" he asked.

"Well… you're the man, after all…" Terra told him with an innocent smile.

"Listen, I'd love to take him with us as a meat shield against Manikins… not!" Shin said "That thing is-"

Terra interrupted him before he said something stupid "Why won't we let Cosmos decide what he is?"

"You want to take him to Cosmos?" Shin asked her surprised "Like, all the way back?"

"That's only a one day trip back!" Terra told him pleading, using the puppy eyes Shin used on her before.

"But I don't want to carry him!" Shin said, not very pleased with his resistance against the puppy eyes.

"You… won't need to carry me…" Sora groaned in pain as he sat up "I can walk… I think."

"Ah good, you're awake." Terra said relieved as Sora slowly tried to stand up.

"I almost thought you'd not be up in the next few days!" Shin told him as he helped Sora stand.

"Why?" Sora asked confused.

"Because of your morphing?" Terra told him.

"Yeah, when were you planning to tell us this, anyway?" Shin asked him, while Terra looked very upset at Sora.

"What are you talking about?" the teen asked confused.

Terra looked now even more upset at him "That you are an Half-Esper!"

"Or Eidolon. Or Aeon. Or Avatar. Or Guardian. Or what the heck you call it from where you come from!" Shin told him.

"What are you talking about?" Sora asked even more confused "Summons?" Shin said annoyed "Even heard of these? Magical creatures you can call to help you. Like a –"

"I got it…" Sora interrupted him.

Shin raised an eyebrow a Sora.

"You sure?"

"Yes!" Sora replied annoyed.

"So…" Terra said "When were you going to tell us?"

"I am not a Half-Esper! I am a normal human, like you two." Sora told them.

Shin immediately shook his head as he heard what Sora said, but was surprised by the reaction of his companion.

"I am one too…" Terra told him "I have the same burden to carry as you do. I know what it feels like. But with us, you are under friends who understand you."

Shin looked surprised at her as well, but then smiled sadly at her and shook his head "No, you don't. I am just an abomination. This… thing is what I should be. That is what my fate was. But then Kairi changed it…"

"Uh, got a girl?" Shin asked Sora with a grin.

"Oh… well, then let's better get going, we have a day of walking ahead!" Shin said and turned around to go back the way he and Terra came from.

"Who are you talking about? Who is Cosmos?" Sora asked, getting more and more confused as they talked.

"You could say, she's our boss…" Shin told him.

"Then you can bring me to her, I need to know if my friends are here as well!" Sora told two enthusiastic.

"Fine by me…" Shin said as they reached the path and walked it back towards the horizon.

"This Kairi." Terra asked after a while, interested in Sora's story "What did she do to change your fate?"

"I gave her Heart shelter as she lost her body…" Sora told her as they walked down the road.

"I searched long for her, not knowing that she was always there… and when I finally found her body, I had to fight my best friend…"

"Boy, you had it hard…" Shin said from in front of them and immediately was kicked in the ass for the comment "I was being serious!"

"Oh… sorry…" Terra told him, slightly embarrassed by herself.

"And then, after defeating him, I had only one way to give Kairi back her heart…" Sora continued and summoned his Oblivion "By unlocking my heart with one of these."

"And that means what? You point that giant Key at yourself and that's it?" Shin asked confused "And how did this make you a Morpher?"

"That means I rammed the Keyblade of my Best Friend chest…" Sora told him cold.

Suddenly, Shin stopped in his track causing Terra to run into him and fall to the ground.

"You… you are telling me you got yourself killed- scratch that. Committed suicide to bring a girl back to live and she's not even your girlfriend?" Shin asked Sora, while Terra got up on her own "You have to be so deep in the friendzone, it actually hurts my heart…"

"The what?" Sora asked confused.

"You have a platonic relationship with the girl you killed yourself for." Shin told Sora "That is… sad…"

"I think it's enough already Shin… You just ruined this romantic story…" Terra told him annoyed.

"There's nothing romantic about that story…" Shin told her "But I'm no girl, sooo…"

"Could we please change the subject?" Sora asked, slightly angry.

"Sure, why not." Shin said with a shrug "You can't tell me anything shocking about this anymore… except maybe that she's now together with your Douchebag best friend…"

"Riku was possessed at the time!" Sora defended his best friend.

"Okay, but still…" Shin sighed and looked back at Sora, to see his worried expression "Oh, come on…" he sighed.

"What?" Sora asked surprised and confused.

"Don't tell me your best friend is dating this Kairi." Shin said kind of disappointed.

"I don't know it, okay!" Sora told him, almost yelling.

"Whoa, I just want to help, no bad feelings!" Shin told him.

"Yeah, then stop talking about it…" Sora said to him and then fell back a bit, so he could avoid further conversation.

"Fine…" Shin sighed.

There was almost no further conversation between Sora and any of his two new companions the remaining day.

As the sun already came closer to the horizon, they came near a dark forest.

"We can't go any further today… the forest is too dangerous." Terra told them.

As they reached the edge of the forest, Shin departed from the other two "I'm going to search for firewood…"

"So… what are you, if not an Half-Esper?" Terra asked Sora interested.

"I'm just a boy with a Keyblade… but for him, I think he's Darkness. He can control Heartless after all…"

"Heartless?" Terra asked him confused.

"When you are killed by creatures of the Realm of Darkness or a Keyblade, then your heart is released from your body and turned into a Heartless. The more Darkness your heart possesses, the more powerful the Heartless will be. If the person was really bad, they could even destroy whole worlds on their own, once turned Heartless."

"That sounds terrible!" Terra exclaimed worried and then looked around to realize Shin was nowhere near.

"Shin?" She asked into the darkness, but received no reply.

"He is just a bit further down the forest… I think" Sora told her.

"It's not him that worries me…" Terra whispered "It's the combination of him being missing and the creatures that are surrounding us…"

With an raised eyebrow, Sora looked around and could have sworn to see glowing yellow eyes in the shadows of the forest.

"Shin?" he asked into the darkness as the last rays of sunlight disappeared and covered the world around them in Darkness.

"I swear if he sneaks up on us, he's done!" Terra whispered as she looked out in the other direction.

Suddenly, both were grabbed by their arms and dragged into the forest.

Before the mysterious Stranger even got the chance to explain what was going on, he had a greatsword at his neck and a Keyblade aimed for his heart.

"Okay, you guys overreact!" Shin whispered as he pushed the Keyblade away gently.

"What is wrong with you Shin?" Terra asked the brown haired man "Didn't we agree the forest was too dangerous?"

"Yeah, but then I ran into those… things!" Shin told them as he tried to drag them deeper into the woods.

"Manikins?" Terra asked him and immediately had her sword ready again.

"No…" Shin shook his head "These… all I know is that Lightbringer easily cuts them down. They are like pure darkness…"

"Heartless!" Sora and Terra exclaimed in unison

"What?" Shin asked confused, but then realized that said creatures were approaching, fast "Run!"

(The Only Thing I Know For Real, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance)

Sora didn't waste much time and ran after the man with the golden Dragon Wings on his Jacket. Terra however didn't run. She flew after them and easily kept up.

Even though they didn't know were heading, both Sora and Shin ran as if they were hunted by Bloodhounds.

"The only thing that would make it worse is being hunted by hounds!" Shin told Sora as he was jumping over a root.

As he looked back, he saw that they were hunted by dog like Heartless. They looked a bit like Shadows, but still hunted them at enormous speed.

"Thank you, whoever loves me so much to grant me every wish!" Shin shouted angry.

Jumping over a small ledge, Sora realized they were on top of a hill and where now on their way back down. To Sora's surprise, Shin had no real problem to keep up with him.

Before he knew what happened, Sora had his foot in a root and sailed through the air. Only seconds later, he crashed into the wet and cold ground.

"No time to sleep!" Shin told him as he helped the teen back on his feet in this moment, a Shadow Hound leaped at the man.

"Shin, watch out!" Terra shouted as she saw the Heartless.

"Quickly turning around, Shin summoned his Lightbringer and brought it down on the attacking creature. As the weapon connected to the heartless however, it erupted in Light, creating a blinding explosion and throwing Sora and Shin down to the foot of the hill.

As Sora got up again, there were no more Heartless close to them, anymore.

"Shit…" Shin gasped as he saw his swollen ankle.

"Wait, I help…." Sora said in between gasps of air and helped shin get up.

"I bet some would call us gay for this…" Shin commented as he felt Sora grab his trousers to support him.

"Why?" Sora asked him confused.

Shin shrugged as Terra came to their side and helped shin "As them. Aaaah! Hey, that hurt!"

Ignoring Shin's whining, Terra helped him back up after she healed his ankle.

"Thanks…" Shin told her and then looked around.

The forest ended only a hundred meters ahead of them, but the night was far from over.

"We should keep going…" Sora told them as he looked deeper into the forest.

"Why?" Shin asked surprised "Obviously we got rid of them!"

Sora shook his head "A few of them… but once they reach a world, almost nothing can stop them."

"He's right. They are coming again." Terra told her companion as well "And they are close."

However, the Heartless were closer as expected as at least ten Shadow Hounds leaped over the ledge and stormed down the hill.

"Terra, one thing." Shin said as they quickly turned to make a run for the end of the forest "If I don't make it, you should know that I-"

"Then you have to tell Cosmos!" Sora interrupted Shin "These things are harbingers of doom!"

Terra hesitated for a moment, but then nodded.

"Wait for us in the ruins!" Shin told her as they reached the corner of the forest and the ruins of a city.

A high tower that looked like it was made out of light and stretched to the sky on a small island off the shore also came into view.

Terra looked surprised at her companion as he and Sora turned around to face the hoard of Heartless that was about to storm out of the forest "But-"
"Go, we follow you, but first we have to make sure they are not going to Order's Sanctuary with us!" Shin told her and as she wanted to speak against him, he immediately cut her off "You are by far the fastest of us! If we didn't catch up by dawn, go tell Cosmos.

With a sad expression, the young woman nodded and shot away.

"Ready to give them what they have coming?" Sora asked as he summoned his Keyblade.

"Always." Shin told him with a grin as h summoned Lightbringer.

Shin immediately used his swords natural power against Darkness to against the first few heartless he encountered and, with a few quick slashes, downed a few of them.

"I've already got four!" Shin told Sora over the sound how awesome he was.

"Twelve. Thirteen. Fourteen." Sora started to count loud while he easily cut through a group of Neo Shadows.

Shin stood there, mouth agape, until he realized he had a challenge to win.

"Blizzara!" Shin chanted and crushed another, though bigger, group of Neo Shadows and Shadow Hounds under the Icicles he created.

"That would be twenty then!" Shin shouted over to Sora, who was busy dashing through a large group of Armored Knights.

"Fifty three. Fifty four. Fifty fife." Sora counted, not even noticing Shin.

"Show off…" Shin muttered as he cut of the head of an attacking Armored Knight.

After a while, both Sora and Shin stood with the back to a wall and were surrounded by Heartless.

"Looks like we'd need an Emergency Exit to get out of this alive, huh?" Shin said while both fended off Heartless.

"Wait, I'll make one." Sora told him and threw his Keyblade in the air.

In this moment, Lightbringer triggered its charge again and with an explosion of Light, cleaned the space between the ruins and the forest from Heartless.

(end The Only Thing I Know For Real)

"Whoa…" Shin gasped surprised as he didn't knew that the blade was recharged already "I guess I won…"

"Jump on!" Sora told him as his Keyblade Rider floated between them.

"What's that?" Shin asked as he inspected the Rider.

"Just get on!" Sora told him as he already stood on his rider.

With a sigh, Shin climbed on the slender rider as well and without a warning, the two shot up in the sky and darted towards the off shore island.

Sora could feel how Shin's fingers dug in his sides, as the man was almost falling off the rider.

"That's Terra over there!" Shin yelled over the noise the wind made and pointed towards the red dressed blonde that waited nervously at the edge of the former city.

They quickly landed close to her and got over to her.

"Thank god, you're alright!" She exclaimed relieved as she saw the two.

"Yeah, thanks to the sword…" Shin said, still dizzy from the flight.

"We've got to get to Cosmos." Sora told them "As Soon As Possible!"

"But it's still a long way to her…" Terra said.

"Where is she?" Sora asked her.

Shin then tipped him on the shoulder and pointed at the tower "See that tower?"

Sora nodded "Yeah?"

"Up there!"

Sora immediately summoned his rider again and jumped on it. After a few moments, he turned to Shin again "What are you waiting for, hop on!"

"I rather not…" Shin told him and immediately turned to Terra

"I can't carry you, Shin…" she told him.

With a sigh, Shin turned back to Sora and climbed on his rider.

"Ready?" Sora asked as Shin wrapped his arms around him.

"No, but I guess it doesn't matter…" Shin sighed as they lifted off and shot towards the tower.

Terra led them up to the top of the tower, where Sora was forced to land, because of the magical protection.

As they entered what Sora thought to be the throne room, he was surprised that it was far bigger than it looked from the outside.

The whole floor was covered in water and in the middle of the room, surrounded by large spikes, there was a large white throne.

As they came closer to the throne, Sora also saw the bows of light that surrounded the throne as well.

Finally, they reached the throne and Sora saw the goddess sitting in her throne.

"Who is it, you bring to me?" the goddess asked.

"My name's Sora." Sora told her with a grin.

"So, Sora…" Cosmos said calm "Would you tell me why Terra and Shin brought you here?"

So, I really hope you liked it! And that it was long enough, too!

Now, Shin belongs to The Unknowing Herald! Sorry I didn't write it in the disclaimer in the beginning, but it would have ruined the surprise for those who read his stories! If you don't do it already, do it! Do it Now! But only after reviewing of course ^^
