What happened last:

Finn was kidnapped by Flame Princess and he had to make a drastic decision to escape. Now he's full of guilt once again but at least he's on his way to fight in the battle. ...On his way to save everyone…

On the front lines

Princess Bubblegum just finished her speech to the warriors from the various kingdoms and villages to motivate them before the first wave of monsters, demons, and undead beasts reached the front rank of the Candy Kingdom's fighting force.

Everyone's hearts were full of a sickening mixture of fear and vigor. Their collective fear was enough to bring any normal man to his knees but their motivation was strong enough to crush almost any enemy. The front row of warriors was comprised of many different cultures and kingdoms. Some of the most bloodthirsty and willing fighters among the Candy Kingdom's allies were there.

They were the first to fight; knowing that they may very well be the first to die. But that didn't bother them, they just wanted to fight the good fight and reign victorious as either a survivor after all of their adversaries have been defeated or as a fallen soldier themselves after they fought their hearts out.

The entire war was extremely uncertain and seemed mostly hopeless to everyone on Bubblegum's side but they all accepted the simple fact that if they did not succeed here… or die in the process… then they would surely die a more prolonged and painful death…

The temperature on the battlefield quickly dropped and became cold enough for everyone to see their own breaths. The reason for this was due to the fact that there was an ominous cloud coming over the mountain.

Everyone was patiently waiting, with weapons in hand, for the enemy to finally approach.

Princess bubblegum took the bizarre opportunity to say one last thing before the first real kill of the war. And she looked glorious as she spoke. She had her fists clenched in front of her diverse volunteer army with her hair blowing in the wind. She was scared just as much as anyone else but her composure was outstanding.

PB: "Show no fear! They hope that their little cloud of fear is ominously coming over the mountain in hopes to cover the land of Ooo in a shroud of death and anarchy but… they forgot one very important thing… When that cloud comes hunting, no one is saved… and that includes them! So remember, as you're destroying your enemies and crushing your adversaries… those who do not fight with vigor and pride for their cause are doomed to the fate that they wish upon their foes. We. Will. Succeed! They will perish and taste the bitter defeat of their own ignorant ambitions. Because we are the warriors and the defenders of Ooo! Everyone here is a hero! Now let's go kill some stuff!" Her voice echoed in the vast expanse of empty space on the outside of the Candy Kingdom.

Everyone cheered loudly and roared their war cries. The crowd of warriors and combatants sounded intense but it seemed to have been lacking something. Bubblegum knew what it was. The candy People needed someone fierce and motivated to lead them into battle. Someone who would scream the same war cry as they engaged in ferocious combat… someone they could look up to.

General Pretzel was an excellent strategist but he wasn't the one to do it. Not this time. They needed someone that was very well known to have done many important and good things for the Candy Kingdom.

They needed Finn the Human.

But he was nowhere to be found. Their fearless leader was gone and everyone was left asking where he was. After hearing the crowd beginning to ask where he was, the princess addressed the problem as well as she could have.

PB: "Finn is currently fighting another battle to defend the candy kingdom but he intends on fighting on this grand battleground when he's done. I assure you; he's fighting for you all and hopes that you'll fight here with the same determination.

The crowd roared with motivation one last time before the enemy finally closed the gap between the two opposing forces.

PB: "Well then… let's begin." Bubblegum said as she turned around and landed a devastating uppercut on the first enemy that the Candy Kingdom's fighters came in contact with.

The two groups of fighters, both Maja's side and PB's, just stared at each other after Bubblegum's initial attack then realized what just happened. The princess was as much of a fighter as anyone else there.

The odd pause lasted for only a fraction of a second then the two groups clashed together and began the war.

The Candy Kingdom's forces were considerably larger than the small group that Maja sent to test the fighting abilities of the Candy Kingdom. For the most part, the small battle was quick and painless for PB's forces.

There weren't really any injuries during the battle or any important events for that matter. For the most part, Maja's small group of monsters was defeated with ease. Although… seeing as that Princess Bubblegum was in the front of her army, she was the first one to take any real hit.

After PB's first attack she rushed forward, as any good leader should, and attacked a few more enemies. Soon after her initial attacks were conducted, she was hit in the side by one of the demons. Then she was hit in the head, then the back… then the face. Then she was picked up and slammed back down onto the ground, getting her face shoved into the newly formed mud. The cloud that was coming overhead was producing rain as well as colder temperatures.

Immediately, PB's banana guard were the first to charge forward with their spears out in front and eliminated any threats in the princess's immediate area. The princess noticed one specific individual that just removed the tip of his spear from the body of his enemy then helped to princess to her feet. It was General Pretzel.

GP: "Princess, are you alright?" He sounded very concerned. His back was to her because he was warding off any enemies nearby.

PB: "Y-yes… I'm fine. Thank you, GP."

GP: "Ausgezeichnet… I think you should make another call…" He knew about the problem with Finn missing and thought that another call might fix the problem. Or at least… he hoped.

(By the way, "ausgezeichnet" means "excellent" in German.)

PB: "Of course." She agreed with his idea, stood up and pulled out her holo-pendant.

GP: "Everyone! Move forward! Crush them!" He roared and everyone replied with a loud war cry and they all continued to destroy their enemies.

Princess Bubblegum quickly called Finn and waited for him to answer.

PB: "Finn! You have to get back to the Candy Kingdom! Maja's conducting a full on assault! Get back here now!" She was yelling frantically in the video. She was scared because she just got beat up but more importantly because she was missing her "knight in shining armor" to fight in this war and things were looking more and more bleak by the minute without him.

But sadly all Finn could understand was:

PB: "Finn! You have to- (static) full on assault! Get back here now!"

After Bubblegum finished her call, and after leaving a message because Finn didn't answer again, she picked herself back up on her feet and got back to fighting.

Everyone was surprised that the enemy was soo easily defeated. It was as if they weren't trained at all… just resurrected or recruited. But if they did have training then it was before they even became skeletons of fragile zombies; And that was a huge motivational booster; knowing that their enemy was easy to defeat. Everyone knew that their numbers where mind boggling but they also knew that they had a slim chance in survival.

Maybe they could all make it out alive?

After the small skirmish, there was a brief intermission before Maja sent anything else. Everyone had a short time to catch their hardly needed breath and prepare for the real fight.

Originally, Princess Bubblegum didn't want certain individuals to participate in the fight. They were mostly the guardians of Ooo and other close friends such as Marceline, Jake, Lady Rainicorn, Cinnamon Bun, Etc. She wanted to test the abilities of Maja's army, just as Maja did to her, without risking her loved ones. She didn't even notice it herself but she was sparing sacrifice for the love of her friends instead of satiating the needs of responsibility. She was changing and it was all for the better.

Their brief brake only lasted a few moments until Maja called for more to attack.

Maja: "Destroy them…" She said in a commanding voice as her entire force moved in to attack the Candy Kingdom's warriors and people.

Her awkward mixture of demons, skeletons, monsters and various undead were very unorganized, untrained and unprepared for this fight but she believed that quantity could always defeat quality if her numbers were enough.

Eventually, the two opposing forces clashed once more. This time, it would be a much longer and more strenuous battle. This wouldn't last a few mere minutes. Nobody would be that lucky. After about fifteen minutes of violence and death, there was a change of pace in everything.

Finn the Human showed up and said nothing. He didn't need to. He just jumped right into the fight and began to destroy as many enemies as he could. He was among the ranks of his fellow warriors as just another soldier. But nobody thought of him as that. Everyone noticed his arrival because he was such a skilled fighter and because he did everything with such great finesse.

Finn was skilled enough that he could almost literally run through his enemies because he could dodge their attacks, counter attack and destroy them with amazing speed. He wasn't the hero of Ooo for no reason. He truly knew how to fight, defend and complete nearly every task that a real princess could ask for.

Finn was destroying the enemy faster than he even realized. By the time he knew it, he was ahead of the front lines and surrounded by his foes because he advanced too quickly. He knew that he would probably be just fine with fighting by enemies that completely surrounded him, especially because they were inexperienced, regardless of their large numbers. He stopped for a second to tell everyone to advance.

F: "Everyone, Move up!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.

For the split second that he used to rally the troops, his guard went down a bit. A random skeleton knocked him over and all of the undead around him moved in and began attacking him. He got kicked in the face, punched in the gut and one even slashed at his back but hardly left a real injury.

Finn was kicking and blindly swinging his sword in attempt to give himself enough space to get back on his feet but he just couldn't. He would fight off a few but more would just come and knock him back down. They didn't hurt him much but they still did damage and that damage was quickly multiplying and becoming a real problem.

Finn was struggling with trying to stand up but it almost seemed helpless. He was convinced that he would just end up getting beat up a lot until the rest of the Candy Kingdom forces moved up to where he was.

His efforts seemed useless until a sudden wave of intense heat rushed over him and the enemies in his immediate area seemed to just turn into dust. The air dried up and seemed to steal the moisture from everything around. Finn's eyes started watering from the lack of water and his lips became dry. Finn shut his eyes to protect them from the heat and the flash of light that appeared right after the blast of hot air.

F: "It's soo nice of you to show up."

Finally I have internet so I can start posting again. So... how was this one? :p
