Wish 49.2

Gin sighed as he shut the door to the bathroom behind him, leaning back against it. 'That child... He knows better than to swear, at least he should. Yet he still does it. Then he also hit me. He hit me. That's just inexcusable. Then there was also his little panic frenzy there... I wonder what that was about. I'll just have to ask him ans then form conclusions.' Gin thought. He pushed away from the door and went into the living to lay on the couch.

'Hm...let's see... What was his punishment for hitting or kicking again? Was it a time out? That sounds right, but I think there was something else to it...hmm...' Gin thought, absent mindedly looking around the room. His eyes landed on the paper and crayons Rangiku had left out earlier. The silver-haired man's eyes opened slowly, a smile spreading across his face. He sat up and moved onto the floor, sitting indian-style.

He grabbed a piece of the white paper and a black crayon. He started to make a two charts. One with offences and consequences on them, the other how many offences he had and what punishment he had with them and how many offenses were left until the limiter wouldn't come off until Christmas.

"Maybe if he can see it physically, it will get into his head not to do certain things, especially if he want that limiter removed." Gin mumbled as he stood up, noticing that fifteen minutes were up. Before he went to retrieve Toshiro though, he walked into the kitchen to retrieve some tape to hang up the charts. Only after doing that, did he enter the bethroom. The third division taicho knocked on the door to the bathing room. He noted that he heard the shower hose running.

'Don't tell me he's letting cold water run over himself again...' Gin thought.

"I'm coming in, Shiro-chan!" the man called out before opening the door. The sight he saw was what he expected; the boy was sitting on the stool butt naked and letting water run over himself. Gin walked over to him and stuck his hand under the shower head.

"Yep...it's ice cold." he said before sighing. He turned off the water and looked back to his son. Toshiro was shivering, his breathing rather shallow. His eyes were fogged over and he looked as though he didn't have much energy. Gin reached out to touch the boy, but immiedieately retracted his hand upon contect. The youth had given no response. Gin's eyes widened and his jaw opened slightly.

"Hypothermia..." he said, his voice barely above a whisper. He rushed over to the towels and grabbed a few, hurrying back to his son. He wrapped Toshiro up in the towels, he wrapped the small body up in one big and fluffy towel, and drapped a smaller one over the boy's hair and neck. He shunpoed to the front door and opened it, only for a gust of freezing cold air and snow to blow in. The man forced the door shut with his shoulder.

'I didn't even hear the storm start. I can't risk taking him out there like this. I'll have to do the best I can here and send for Unohana when the storm dies down.' Gin thought while he raced into Toshiro's room. He set the small frame on the bed and began drying him off. First was the chest and abdomen and back, then his neck, hair, and face, and last of all, the arms and legs. If he had dried the extremities (arms and legs) first, there was a chance that the boy would have gone into shock.

He tossed the wet towels onto the floor rushed to Toshiro's dresser to look for warm pajamas, tossing the cooler ones onto the floor. Then it hit him, the warmer pajamas were up in a bin in Toshiro's closet shelf. Gin hurriedly retrieved the bucjet and went about throwing the regular clothing on the floor for the warm pajamas. He found a pair of fuzzy blue footir pajamas with snowflakes and placed Toshiro in it. He checked to see if the boy was still concious, but he wasn't. His breathing had more or less evened out, but he was still freezing to the touch.

Gin quickly shunpoed into his and Rangiku's room to gather what extra blankets they had in there. He only found one and took it before he went to the hall closet and grabbed four more. When he came back into Toshiro's room, Gin saw him curled up ontop of the sheets still shivering. He dropped the blankets on the floor next to the bed and picked Toshiro up eith one arm, the other pulling the comfortor and sheets back. He placed Toshiro on the bed and pulled the covers back up over his body to his chin. He started to layer the blankets in the boy also. Even after all the blankets were in Toshiro, he still wouldn't stop shivering.

Gin bit his lip and quickly checked the situation with the storm. It hadn't lessened at all. He made his way back to Toshiro's room and pulled the blankets off the boy. He climbed over the white-haired youth and laid down behind him. He brought the smaller frame close to him and dragged the blankets back over the both of them. Gin hugged his son to his chest, hoping to restore some heat to the boy. His back was to Gin's warm chest and he turned over in his sleep, seeking more of the heat. He cuddled into Gin and his shivering lessened. Gin ran one of his hands through the soft white hair, his other rubbing the young boy's back.

"I told you that you would catch hypothermia if stayed in the cold water for too long." Gin whispered. Toshiro was warmer now, but not as warm as Gin knew he should be. He was fine for now, as long as he stayed where he was. Gin sighed and buried his nose in Toshiro's hair, pulling the small boy closer to him. After a minute, his eyes also closed so he could sleep a little.

Okay, I had to rewrite this one because the first version I wrote didn't feel right. Anywho, next chapter should be the last one for day four. That's right, fifty chapters and only now ending day four. Oh, yes, since I rewrote the chapter, I decided to post the first version separately. If you want to read that, it's on my profile under; Wish Ch. 49 Alternative.
