CopraMeow: There is nothing like that going on in Destiny's mind. She just wanted to know what he thought of her, if he thought of her as a burden, and annoyance or what. As for Kid being tasty...yes he is *drools* But anyways, there shall be a lemon soon, or else those two would probably go on a killing spree of mass proportions.

Raindra: Haha, yeah. I'm really glad you read it from the beginning and caught up. It hit me that most would probably want to know what Kid thought of her, well, this chapter explains a lot and kinda shows them bonding XD

Kiteria: Sorry for the long wait since my last update before yesterday. A LOT of shit has been going on, but enough excuses. I started this one right after my last update and this chapter seemed to write itself, I kid you not. This chapter was to show a bit of bonding between Kid and Destiny. I had plans of ending this chapter with 55 chapters like DLS, but I have too much planned to end it that soon. So please stay tuned and review, I will try my best to update more frequently.

No matter how often they stopped to restock on the things they needed like gunpowder, rum, clothes, and other things; it always seemed like they constantly ran out. It had already been several weeks since their last stop at an island, but already they needed to restock. He guessed they may have used a bit too much of their gunpowder supply when he told his pyrotechnic to blow an island sky-high after seeing some of the looks people were giving him and his crew. It was all because of that brat Trinity had insisted on saving and bribing with them. How the hell was he supposed to keep up his reputation as a ruthless pirate who didn't take shit from anyone, not even a wrong look, when there was a child running around with his crew!? It was like his damn crew had been reduced to babysitters. So perhaps he had gone a little overboard on the last island when a group of older men had given him strange looks and commented on how friendly his crew was. Friendly. His crew was not friendly goddamn it!

"Fan out and find the crap we need! I don't want to stay here any longer than we have to!"

Kid shouted to his crew as they disembarked onto the island. He heard footsteps behind him and the sound of his musician, which made him turn to see her and the brat walking down the gangplank.

"Can't you make that brat stay aboard the fucking ship or something? She follows you and my crew around like a damn lost puppy."

The red-head grumbled angrily only to receive a glare from Trinity.

"She has a name Kid, and it's not brat."

Rolling his eyes, knowing he wasn't going to get anywhere with her when she went all defensive over the brat, Kid chose to walk off. His sources of information on Big Mom had run dry shy of a few days ago and he needed to see if he could find anything out about the Empress' movements.

It wasn't until he was getting ready to head towards the island's tavern, a place that was sure to be full of information, that he heard a scream split the air. It was too high-pitched to be male, so that made Kid wonder if Trinity had gotten into some kind of trouble. He knew she could handle herself, being a witch and a hell of a fighter, but that didn't stop him from going to see for himself. What he hadn't been expecting was to see, not his musician, but the brat in trouble. She was dangling from a rope bridge suspended between two halves of the island. From the looks of things, the boards had given way under her and she fell.

Kid contemplated walking off and acting like he hadn't seen anything, until the brat called out to him upon spotting him. Though hearing her so blatantly ask for help pissed him off. If she couldn't take care of herself then she should have been made to stay aboard the ship like he'd said.

"Help yourself up brat."

He called to her, but didn't turn to leave. He could see her nails digging into the wooden boards above her head, desperately trying to hold on, but not finding any ground to stop herself from falling further. He scowled when he saw her drop, but she managed to grab hold of a piece of rope dangling down.

"Please!"

She cried out, fear obvious in her voice and Kid scoffed and was about to turn away, not really caring if the brat died or not even if it would piss Trinity off when he stopped dead in his tracks and what came out of the girl's mouth next.

"Daddy please, I don't wanna die!"

'Did that brat just...'

Kid wondered with wide eyes before slowly turning around to look at the girl, his eyes narrowing in anger as he lifted his hand, purple sparks flying as he used his devil fruit powers to lift the brat into the air, then back over to where he stood. He dropped her at his feet and scowled at how pathetic she looked. As if he'd ever think of someone like this useless brat as his daughter. He only tolerated her presence aboard his ship because Trinity wouldn't let him kill her.

Bending down and taking a hold of a fistful of her shirt, Kid hoisted the black-haired girl into the air once more, leveling her with a glare.

"Listen here you brat, I am not your father. I refuse to be a father to someone who can't even save themselves. You can think of Trinity however the fuck you want, but I don't EVER want to fucking hear you call me your father again, you understand me you weak ass piece of shit!?"

He all but growled at her and saw the color drain from her face before she nodded. Once he had his answer, Kid released her and let her drop to the ground before turning and going back to what he had been doing before. He heard the sound of footsteps behind him and casting a glance back, he saw the brat following him. Most would have run scared the second they had the chance, especially since most never got the chance, so what the hell was up with this girl? Why was she following him?

Choosing to ignore her, Kid went on about his business. He went inside the tavern and took a seat at a table pretty close to the bar and ordered himself a drink. When the girl walked in right behind him, he felt his eyes widen in shock before narrowing when he saw her sit at the same table as him.

'This brat is starting to piss me off.'

He thought to himself before turning to the other patrons in the bar and listening in on their conversations. Nothing sounded like anything of interest, but he stayed put, occasionally drinking from his mug and kept listening. The whole time the girl just sat there silently, head down so her hair fell in front of her face. It wasn't until a few hours had passed that Kid finally heard something about Big Mom from one of the other patrons and zeroed in on the conversation.

"...fight with Kaidou over territory. Several members of both Emperors' crews were killed."

Kid smiled at hearing that. The less people he had to fight to get to Big Mom the better.

"I heard something about Shanks making them cease-fire against one another and meet up to negotiate on an island."

Interested in a chance to face two Emperors at once, Kid waited for the man to say more, but before he could the guy he was talking to passed out and he walked out after paying for his drink.

"Dammit."

Kid cursed under his breath before getting to his feet and going after the man. He didn't even care that the brat was still following him, he focused on catching up to the man with such valuable information and cornering him.

Destiny didn't know why she was following Kid after what he'd said. She hadn't meant to call him daddy, but she seriously thought she had been about to die and Kid was the only person who could fit in the role of her father out of everyone she knew and the words had just flown from her mouth without her consent.

She had followed him from the bridge, into the tavern, and through the village as he chased after one of the men from the tavern. She had listened to the man talk to his companion until he had passed out, it seemed he knew quite a bit about something Kid wanted to know.

Noticing that Kid had caught up to the man and cornered him, Destiny stopped a few feet away and watched. Though she didn't go unnoticed by the man.

"Hahaha, what is this? Bring your child to work day?"

He asked and Destiny's eyes widened at his words. Either the man was stupid and didn't know who had caught up to and now pinned him to the tree he was pressed up against, or he was drunk.

"I'd watch my mouth if I were you. The only reason you're still alive is because I have some questions I need answered and you seem to have the answers I'm looking for."

Kid told him, but instead of frightening the man, that just seemed to make him more confident that he wouldn't be hurt.

"Oh? So I'm what you pirates would call, valuable then no?"

He asked with a sly smile and Destiny heard Kid growl at having let too much slip. It was obvious he wasn't used to getting information through words, but at the same time he didn't want to kill the man.

"Well then, what say we make a deal hmm? Give me a hundred thousand beli and promise to let me go and I'll answer whatever questions you have for me."

He said and Destiny could visibly see Kid shake with the effort it took not to kill the man. He obviously wasn't drunk enough to the point he couldn't think, but he had to have had enough to give him the balls to talk to Kid like that. Even if one didn't know who he was, his looks and attitude alone could scare the shit out of anyone.

"You could even throw in the girl. I'm sure I can find...some use for her."

The man said, his eyes drifting over her body and making her sick. Though her disgust turned to anger when she saw Kid actually seemed to be thinking about it. Did he truly hate her that much?

"Come on ginger, whaddya say, we got a deal?"

Before anything else could be said, Destiny reached to the sheath on her hip, drew her sai before walking past Kid and up to the man. She pointed one at his balls before pointing the other at the base of his neck. Her ice blue eyes had hardened and narrowed as she looked up at the man.

"You don't quite seem to understand the situation you're in."

She told him, her voice void of emotion.

"While you may be too valuable to kill, I know at least six different ways in which I can remove a couple of your organs and still keep you alive."

She said calmly, smirking when she saw the man's bravado disappear.

"Or, perhaps you feel like telling my captain here what he wants to know and we'll see if he chooses to let you live. That sound fair to you?"

She asked him, pushing the blade further against his skin until he started bleeding and heard him whimper in agreement. He had sickened her and it was obvious he had a major lack of respect for Kid. She may know the red-haired man despised her, but she still thought of him as her father. She wanted to prove she wasn't useless.

Kid was left speechless at the sudden change in the brat's behavior. Though he'd be lying if he didn't say he was impressed, especially when the man quite literally threw himself away from her and at Kid's feet, telling him everything he wanted to know. Once Kid had gotten all his questions answered, he grabbed the man by his throat and snapped his neck before tossing him aside. He'd gotten what he needed from him, he had no more value and he had pissed him off.

Turning to look down at the girl, who had sheathed the sai she'd used to scare the now dead informant, Kid smirked at her. He surmised Killer had been training her behind closed doors or something, but he guessed she wasn't as useless as he thought.

"If I see you actually manage to kill someone then maybe I'd consider letting a brat like you call me your dad."

He said before turning and starting to walk off to head back to the tavern to enjoy a drink.

"Killer-San!"

Kid stopped hearing the girl suddenly shout and saw her running past him and up to his first mate. The red-head watched as the two seemed to talk about something before he saw the masked blonde nod before they both walked off back towards the ship.

'At least it looks like she isn't as useless as I first thought.'

Kid thought before turning to go get himself a drink only to have someone bump into him. His anger rose, his patience having been spent already, and grabbed whoever had run into him by the front of their shirt and pulled them to him, glaring at the person who ran into him about to give them hell when the scent of orchids washed over him and two light-blue eyes staring into his own red ones.
