Hey guys. It's me again.

I'll make this short and sweet: I decided to take a break from Fanfiction for awhile, but I'm back now! Yay! (PM me with any questions)

I'm still going to continue (and finish) this story. After all, the warriors can't be stuck in camp forever! ;)

Also, I still read every single review. Just so you know. And I can't thank you guys enough for all of your support :)

Well, without further ado, here's the next chapter...

Ivypool's POV

I slip on a purple hoodie, grab a flashlight, and a deck of cards. Tonight, the night before the dance, we'll be having small campfires with just our cabin groups. So the ThunderCabin boys will also be there. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Dovewing slips on the same purple hoodie as me, which we both got from the dance class we took a while ago. Both of us quit, but Dovewing wants to start it again. She's crazy. But hey, she's my sister, and it'll always be that way.

I quietly watch as the other girls gather their things. Some of the girls are even bringing their phones, and Rosepetal and Hazeltail both even bring some snacks. But it's the second to last day, so nobody will really care. I just hope that they know that the boys will eat all the food up in seconds.

Sorreltail and Squirrelflight gather us and take us to the tiny campfire area reserved just for ThunderCabins. It's nice and small, surrounded by lots of trees, just like the Thunder area should be. I can't imagine staying in a cabin in an open field, like Breezepelt and the other Windcampers do, or surrounded by a ton of rivers, like the Rivercampers do. That's just crazy.

The boys haven't arrived yet, which gives us girls a little bit of time to start eating the snacks. Squirrelflight pulls out some graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. I take a marshmallow, put it on a stick, and hold it over the fire. Dovewing does the same, giggling as she sticks marshmallow after marshmallow after marshmallow onto her stick. I look at her oddly. She just keeps giggling until one of her marshmallows actually catches fire. Surprisingly, though, she doesn't even scream, but instead grabs two graham crackers and a chocolate bar, and smashes them together, creating a s'more. The fire from the marshmallow disappears.

"Mmm, s'mores," giggles Dovewing once again. I roll my eyes as she bites into her s'more, staining her face with melted chocolate and marshmallow.

"You've got a little something on your face," I point out to her. She giggles, taking her sleeve and wiping her face.

"Better?" she asks, giggling some more, but actually, she's only smeared it onto her cheek as well.

"I - you know what, never mind." Smiling, I make myself a s'more and purposely get some marshmallow onto my chin.

Dovewing giggles. "Twins!"

"We already are," I remind her, giggling a little bit as well.

I look over my shoulder to see Rosepetal and Hazeltail, who both look at us quizzically. They roll their eyes and return to talking.

"Girls, wipe your faces, please," Squirrelflight says. "You don't want to look bad in front of the boys, do you?"

"Tigerheart won't be here, so Dovewing doesn't have to worry," I say with a giggle.

Squirrelflight smiles. "True. What about you, Ivypool? Any special Thunderguys who stole your heart?"

I shake my head. "Boys are overrated," I say as I bite into a s'more. "Besides, you realize half of them will have their faces covered with s'mores, don't you?"

Squirrelflight shakes her head, muttering something about us acting like toddlers. I laugh it off, and enjoy the moment. I'm safe, I'm with my friends, I'm happy. And that's all I need in life right now.

Hazeltail's POV

I haven't found a good time to tell Rosepetal about Foxleap yet. Plus, I'm starting to rethink telling her. I've got a theory…

As soon as the ThunderCabin boys arrive, I notice Foxleap sit down on a log all alone. Normally he'd be sitting with his best friend Toadstep, but instead, Toadstep is sitting with Bumblestripe, who is sitting with Dovewing and Ivypool.

Rosepetal turns to me and smiles. "How about we go and sit with Foxleap?"

Yep, this proves my theory.

Rosepetal has a crush on Foxleap as well.

"Why?" I ask. Rospetal shrugs her shoulders.

"He seems lonely." She stands up and bounces over to him, but I hurry up and sit down next to Foxleap first. Of course, instead of sitting next to me, Rosepetal sits down on Foxleap's other side.

"Hey Foxleap," Rosepetal begins. Foxleap smiles.

"Hey Rose, hey Hazel," he says. I can tell Rosepetal's happy that he gave her a nickname. Even if he did shorten both of our names, I'm still really bothered. Why does Rosepetal like him, too?

"Have either of you eaten a s'more yet?" Foxleap asks. I shake my head. Rosepetal just stares at his face.

"In that case, I'll go make some," says Foxleap. "Be right back!"

He leaves, and Rosepetal, my somehow-related-cousin, turns to me and smiles. "Isn't he cute?"

I look back with her, seriousness in my eyes, as I say, "I know, right?"

Immediately regretting it, I uncomfortably shift on the log. Thankfully, Rosepetal doesn't get the hint, and just goes on saying, "oh, I can't wait until he asks me to the dance!"

Foxleap comes back and sits down between us on the log. He starts eating his own s'more. I look at him and lightly punch his shoulder. "I thought you were going to get some for us, too!"

Foxleap laughs. "Nah, go get it yourself." I roll my eyes as I stand up and walk to get a s'more. When I come back, I notice that Foxleap and Rosepetal are sitting closer together than they were when I left. I frown and sit down on Foxleap's other side.

I have one day left to make Foxleap like me… how on earth do I do it when my cousin likes him too?

Mousewhisker's POV

Have I ever mentioned that sometimes I feel overshadowed by my brother?

Sure, I mean, Berrynose is great and all, and he's my brother, but it seems like he's always in the spotlight and never gives me a chance to shine as well. Plus, he's really popular and all…

I know he already bragged to everyone that he's going to ask Honeyfern to the dance. I look across the campfire to where he and Honeyfern are sitting together, and he's talking to her, and she's listening to him, gushing with happiness. It annoys me. Why can't a girl listen to me like that?

Besides, I've missed my great opportunity with the one RiverCabin girl I saw a while ago. I heard she already got asked to the dance, too. But I still don't want to be the only guy to go alone!

I mean, Foxleap and Toadstep and Bumblestripe all announced that they weren't going to ask anyone. I guess they wanted to avoid drama or something. But still.

I look around the campfire. Hazeltail and Rosepetal, my sister and my cousin, are sitting next to Foxleap, talking to him. Brambleclaw is sitting silently next to Sorreltail, as Squirrelflight sits on a log and reads, trying to ignore Ashfur as he attempts to talk to her. Counselor drama is always entertaining, to be honest. I wonder if I'll ever return to camp as a counselor.

Suddenly, from across the campfire, a girl catches my eyes. She's sitting all alone, just like I am. Her sibling who overshadows her already has a date to the dance, just like me. I'm sure her actual crush is already going to the dance with someone, just like it is with me. So why not?

I get up and walk over to her, then sit down on the log next to her. "Poppyfrost, I have something to ask you…"

Berrynose's POV

Honeyfern looks down at the ground. She hasn't looked at me straight in the eye since I asked her to the dance.

I don't know why.

All of a sudden, I notice that the four counselors leave. But before they do so, Ashfur announces, "you guys can only stay here until eleven o'clock! We'll be returning to the cabins if you need anything. Don't get too crazy."

They leave without another word, leaving us campers alone.

This won't end well…

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this chapter! The next update will come pretty soon. So...

Foxleap: Hold up Silver, why were you gone for such a long time? Did you... *sniff* FORGET ABOUT ME?

It's okay Foxleap *gives cookie*. And no, I didn't forget about you. I've just been busy.

Foxleap: Hmph. Fine. But can I just say, I've been stuck in camp for awhile now...

Just wait and be patient; the good part will come soon.

Icecloud: Oooh, what's the "good part"?

You'll have to wait and see. The rest of the story will be great, I promise. So that means...

Foxleap: Oh, I know! If you want to be updated on any updates, then follow and favorite!

Icecloud: Also review any thoughts you have on this chapter! Oh, and Silver, can I ask the chapter's question?

Okay!

Icecloud: To you awesome readers... Would you rather have the warriors live in your human world, or have you live in the warriors world?

Hope that question made sense. Anyways, don't forget to review, follow and favorite! ~Silverblaze
