A/N: Count down till the end now!

Alexa POV
"A song." I blurted when I found the small secluded back office Ms. Morgan, Dad and Townsend were using for their private conversations; away from the curious ears of Gallagher Girls.
"I'm sorry, what?" Townsend asked, baffled by my sudden outburst and appearance when I threw open the door. I hasn't even stepped over the threshold when I began spouting my gibberish theory to the 3 confused adults before me.
"So like, what if it's a song. I mean, Drew keeps going on about my 5th birthday party right? Whatever that means. But anyway, I've been going over what I can remember from that day and I remember having a song stuck in my head for weeks afterwards, almost like bird song. It just kept playing over and over while you were talking to some guy dad and -" Dad cut me off and I was quite thankful, allowing myself a much needed breath of air while he began talking.
"Matthew Morgan, Cammie's father. I was talking to him." Dad said sullenly, looking a way from Ms. Morgan like he was trying to avoid her gaze. She dipped her head a little before fixing her steely blue eyes on me.
"What were you talking about Joe?" She asked, eyes never leaving mine. Townsend pulled up a seat for me to sit on and I moved from the doorway and perched on the edge, too alert to relax into it despite the fact that it was comfy as hell.
"The Circle of Cavan." Dad said at last, pinching the bridge of his nose, wrinkles forming on his usually smooth forehead. "He'd found something out about them that he couldn't keep to himself for too long, something big, if they'd have found him first know one would have known. But it was Lex's party and I couldn't just leave her alone, so I told him to come to me."
"And he went?" Ms. Morgan seemed strangely shocked by the fact that Matthew Morgan had come to my party, but I didn't mention that fact, at the time it didn't seem all that important.
"I know he shouldn't have." Dad began. "But he said it was urgent."
"Did he talk to her?" Ms. Morgan practically demanded slowly, like I wasn't even in the room at all. Townsend and I merely sat there and watched it unfold, both clearly not knowing why Cammie's dad potentially talking to me was so wrong.
"I don't know." Dad admitted. "I only saw him talk to me but he could have done, there we so many people there I lost sight of her a few times. Maybe he gave her the other part of the list Cammie had." Ms. Morgan clenched her fists and her eyes looked sad. You could cut the tension with a knife.
I deliberately cleared my throat and all eyes were back on me, each on clearly wondering what was locked inside my head. "First of all, 'she' is sitting right here." I said, not bothering to hide my annoyance. "Secondly, if some guy spoke to me at my party, maybe you should ask me and see if I remember." I exhaled through my nose. "What did he look like? What could he have said to me? Townsend rattled off a description that reminded me of the male version of Cammie whilst Dad and Rachel silently exchanged words, though no words were actually spoken.
I bit the inside of my cheek and thought on it, the words working their way through the cogs in my brain. I remembered the mouthwatering smell of barbecue and the unmistakable sound of children's laughter filling the air, parents chatting among themselves while their kids played happily. A man in a brown jacket is there, kneeling down in front of me, holding in his hand a small green neatly wrapped gift that he gives to me. He tells me that he used to go to school with my dad, his voice reminded me of Cammie's, full of authority and care. I had proceeded to open the present once he had departed, casting me one last guilty, sorrowful look as he did. He had given me a small glass bird, it's wings outstretched and words I had never bothered reading engraved on every inch. I had listened to the sweet music it had played over and over after that day, it played such a sweet melody.
"What are you doing?" Cammie asked, I hadn't even heard her come in. I figured she had just been talking to Liz or Macey and had come to find me.
"What do you mean?" I asked, wondering why everyone was looking at me weirdly.
"You were singing half of that damn irritating tune you always used to when you were little." Dad said.
"That could be it, how to get the list." Ms. Morgan said.
"No." Cammie said, she looked puzzled. "All the Cavan members we've made spill have made it pretty clear that Alexa needed me to help her remember the other half of the list." I had to agree with Cammie, why bother waiting for us to be together when I could do it on my own.
"Maybe they were lying." Townsend suggested halfheartedly, but we both didn't think so. It would be too easy.
"Wait, did you say half of the song?" Cammie inquired, Dad nodded and said. "Yeah, the song was an old one, I can't remember where it was from, but it was missing a lot of the tune. I always assumed it was because it was just a cheap trinket. Why?" It was like a light bulb went off inside her head.
"Mum, didn't dad give me a bird like that for my 5th birthday?" Ms. Morgan stood up and so did Dad.
"I think I know where it is." She said.
"Where?" Me and Cammie both asked.
"Follow me." We did.
