Love in Dauntless

Chapter 53: Baby and an epilogue

Marlene gave birth to hers and Uriah's little girl an hour ago, her name is Zoe and she is adorable. Marlene was thirty seven weeks pregnant and it has been thirty weeks since Hope was treated for her paralysis. Oscar turned one thirty three weeks ago. Aaron turned four a week after Hope lost paralysis in her arm. Everything is going great. We're all happy and free. We're all having a great time. Life is great. Life is wonderful. Life is amazing.

We all left Marlene's hospital room after half an hour because she was tired, I'm not surprised, giving birth is painful and exhausting. We then all went back to mine and Tobias' place. All of the kids went to bed in various rooms in the apartment. Hope in her room. Oscar in his room. Aaron in a guest room. The twins in another. Zack in another.

Then us adults sit in the living room, we watch about three movies before going to sleep.

Twelve years later

Today is Hope and Aaron's choosing ceremony. Right now Tobias and I are getting our kids all dressed and ready. We had three more kids after Oscar, who is thirteen. The twins, Aiden Xavier Eaton and Sophia Grace Eaton, they are both seven. Then there is our other son, Thomas Chase Eaton. He's four. I am also pregnant again, I am thirty three years old, I am only eight weeks pregnant but I haven't told Tobias yet, I only found out yesterday after going to Marlene.

Christina and Will have two kids other than Aaron. Their middle child, Cara, is ten. She's named after Will's sister. Their youngest child is James, he is four years old as well, he's best friends with Thomas, and was born a week after Thomas.

Marlene and Uriah have a son as well, his name is Martin, after Zeke and Uriah's dad, who is the uncle I have never met. Zoe is twelve and Martin is nine.

Zeke and Shauna have had two more since Ashton and Kyle were born. There is Melissa, who is five years old, and Jackson, who is one. Ashton and Kyle are fifteen.

Talia and Tom have had two kids. Alexandra is the oldest at eight years old and Luca is the youngest as he is three years old. They have also gotten married, they got married two years before Alex was born.

Lisa and Sam got married a month after Talia and Tom did and have had three children since. They are triplets and are three years old. Their names are… Joshua, Hunter and Melissa.

Kiera and Luke got married a year after Talia and Tom did. Zack is fifteen years old, he's best friends with Ashton and Kyle. They have had one child together, her name is Toni and she is two years old, but Kiera is pregnant again and is due in four weeks.

Caleb and Susan are still married, and still in Erudite. Yeah, I am an auntie as well. They have had four kids. Their oldest, Karl, is eleven. Then there is Ellie, who is nine. Then there is Jonathon, who is six. And Katie, who is one.

Robert has married an Amity woman named Alexis. They got married eleven years ago and have had two kids. Their oldest is named Joe and he is ten. Their other child is called Catherine and she is eight.

So, yeah, a lot has happened in the last twelve years, but right now we're focussing on the fact that two of the many kids I have just mentioned have their choosing ceremony today. I hope they stay in Dauntless, but I don't mind what they do, as long as they're happy. I know Tobias, Christina and Will, and everyone else feels the same way.

We have all just arrived at the ceremony, literally all of us from Dauntless, except the kids under sixteen, they're all staying with Tori and Bud, who are married but they don't have any kids. Tobias, Christina, Will and I walk Hope and Aaron to the line of sixteen year olds and they both get in their places, they're right next to each other, thank God.

I embrace my oldest daughter, the one that has been through so much in her life already.

"I love you. No matter what." I tell her.

"I love you, too, mum." She tells me.

I kiss her forehead, she is the same height as me, and pull away allowing Tobias to embrace our daughter.

When Christina and Will are done with Aaron I embrace him as well, he is my nephew through friendship after all, and my godson. I wish him luck, so does Tobias. Chris and Will wish Hope luck, then we all go and sit with our friends to watch the ceremony. Our friends have already wished them luck.

Aaron's name is called. He walks to the bowls, picks up the knife and cuts his hand, letting the blood drip into the Dauntless bowl. We all cheer, everyone from Dauntless cheers.

He walks over to us all and we all embrace him.

Then Hope's name is called. She walks over to the bowls, carefully. She takes her knife and cuts her hand, looking at each bowl before finally picking the one for Dauntless and letting her blood drip into it.

All the Dauntless cheer again and she walks over to us. I embrace her and Tobias embraces us.

I remember the way she was when she was choosing and realise that is exactly what I did, except I was only looking at the bowls for Erudite, Abnegation and Dauntless.

Is she Divergent?

"I need to talk to you later." I tell her.

"Okay, we could have dinner in the apartment before I have to go to the dorms." She says.

"Okay." I say.

Hope was the first jumper, when she jumped Tobias whispered in my ear 'Just like her mother'. I couldn't help but giggle at that. Aaron was second.

We ended up with ten transfers and fourteen Dauntless borns, Tobias and I aren't training though, we're just going to sit and watch in on some of the sessions as we are leaders. Zeke and Uriah are training the Dauntless borns. Though Uriah is also a leader he was begging to be a trainer so we let him. Christina and Talia are training the transfers.

Right now Tobias, Hope, Oscar, Aiden, Sophia Thomas and I are sitting around our large dining room table, eating our dinner. We are talking and laughing about random things. Hope is asking about initiation and the things she has to do during it. Initiation is still the same as it was when I done mine, except no one is made factionless anymore. There are still ranks but anyone below fifteen has to train until they are strong enough to get a job in the compound, or they just go out to work at the fence, it is completely up to them.

After dinner I take Hope into her room to help her pack some things for when she is staying in the dorms. When the door is closed and we have started packing I look at her and smile slightly.

"Can I ask you something?" I ask her.

"You just did, but sure, you can ask me anything." She says.

"What were your test results?" I ask her.

She looks down.

"Hey, you can tell me, it's safe." I tell her, taking her hands in mine.

"I-I'm Divergent." She says, quietly.

"Okay, what factions did you get?" I ask.

"All of them." She says.

I'm shocked. I thought she would have gotten three at the most, but all of them, all five factions. Divergents are safe now, no one is going after them anymore, but I'm still shocked. That could change, people could start going after them again, she could be in danger.

"It's okay. You're safe. Who did your test?" I ask.

"Grandma." She says.

"Okay. That's okay. You're safe. You're going to be okay." I tell her, embracing her.

"I know mum. I'm going to be fine." She says.

"Can I tell you something?" I ask.

"Sure." She says.

"I'm pregnant." I tell her.

She pulls back and smiles.

"Really?" She asks.

"Yeah, but I haven't told your father yet, so don't tell him, or anyone. The only people that know are you and Marlene." I tell her.

"Okay. How far along are you?" She asks.

"Eight weeks." I say.

"I'm happy for you mum." She tells me.

After about five minutes we go back to packing.

Later that night, after Hope has gone to the dorms and the other kids are in bed, Tobias and I are sitting on the large sofa, watching TV.

"Hope's Divergent." I tell him quietly.

He looks at me.

"Really?" He asks, slightly worried, but he knows they are safe now.

"Yeah." I say.

"What factions did she get?" He questions.

"All of them." I tell him, still shocked. He's shocked too.

"Wow." He says.

"Yeah. But she's going to be fine. No one's looking for Divergents anymore. She's safe." I say.

He nods.

"I also have something else to tell you." I say.

"What's that?" He asks.

"I'm pregnant." I say.

"Really?" He asks, smiling.

I nod, smiling also.

He picks me up and spins me around, I laugh and he does too.

He stops after a few seconds and we sit down so that I am straddling him. He places his hand on my stomach.

"How far along are you?" He asks.

"Eight weeks, but I only found out yesterday when going to Marlene to see why I had been feeling like I had been. She did an ultrasound and that's when we saw the baby." I tell him.

"Have you got a picture?" He asks.

"Yeah." I say, taking the picture out of my jean pocket and giving it to him.

He smiles as he looks at the picture of our new baby.

"Wow, this is our sixth kid." He says.

"Yeah, it is." I say.

"How many kids do you want, all together?" He asks.

"I don't mind, as long as they're all happy and healthy. But I am thirty three. My biological clock is ticking. So I'd say maybe one or two more after this one. But only if you want to." I say, placing my hand over the one he has on my stomach.

"I don't mind. I want as many kids as I can have, with you, Tris." He says before leaning in to kiss me.

We kiss for a few minutes before pulling back to catch our breaths.

"I love you." He says.

"I love you, too." I say.

"I love you, three." He says.

"I love you, Four." I say, laughing.

"I know. I love you, too, Six." He says and we kiss again.

Life is great. I'm glad I chose Dauntless, because if I didn't I wouldn't be where I am right now. I wouldn't have this wonderful life I have now. I wouldn't be Tris. I wouldn't be Six. I wouldn't have my friends. I wouldn't be with Tobias/Four. We wouldn't be Ten. And we wouldn't have our kids.

Hey Ravens, so this is the end. Sorry but I didn't know what else to write so I thought I'd skip to Marlene having her baby and then do an epilogue thing. I hope you enjoyed this story. I may consider doing a sequel based in Hope's POV about her initiation and her life after initiation. But only if you guys want me to.

If you want me to write a sequel tell me, but if you don't I have another Divergent story in mind that I might start writing soon, who knows, I might do a sequel and the other Divergent story, but only if I have the time.
