I'm back~! That writer's block was quite powerful but has since been vanquished. I think the problem was I didn't have that weekly anime to look forward to. But now that Fairy Tail is done with filler episodes I feel like writing again. So more chapters for both Bleach and Fairy Tail very soon.
This is a bit of a build up chapter. The arrival from the King's Realm is coming and the battle in the Silbern is about to begin.
Disclaimer: I don't own Bleach.
Hawk's Story: Bleach
Chapter 51
The Royal Guard members quickly moved Hawk and Shang to an empty nearby building. Kat set up her barrier, while Nero began healing Hawk's shredded muscles. Shang walked over to Hawk. "Why weren't the Clans informed of this attack?" He asked angrily.
"Because Crow is in the King's Realm and Byakuya was on the verge of death. We didn't have time to tell you." Hawk growled.
"Lord Feng, this is my fault." Dante interjected. "I was assigned to take charge of the Central Captains after the first attack. I never thought to contact the clans."
"I see. Do not worry about our sake. My personal guard can handle our protection. My concern was for my daughter. If I had been informed then I could have sent men to protect her." Shang explained.
"It wouldn't have made a difference. She's stronger than any of your men." Hawk told him.
Dante's communicator began to go off. "Excuse me." He stepped aside and answered it. "Hello...what?" Dante walked back over and handed the communicator to Hawk. "It's for you."
"Is it Domon?" He asked.
"No."
Hawk cautiously took the communicator and winced in pain when he brought it up to his ear. "Hello."
"How's it going, Little Brother?"
"T-Tai? Is that you?"
"That's me."
"Where have you been? Where are you right now?" Hawk asked in a panic.
"Right now? I'm in Silbern. Hold on a second." Tai said, then a large explosion could be heard through the communicator.
"What the hell was that?" Hawk shouted.
"That was just Grimmjow."
"Grimmjow? How do you know him? What are you doing?"
"I can't explain right now. I need to know who the Quincys are working with."
"They're working with Domon. He has Vergil and Tyson with him and they freed a bunch of prisoners."
Tai sighed angrily. "Okay. We'll be back with Halibel soon."
"Tai, hurry."
He chuckled. "Be there soon."
Hawk closed the communicator and handed it back to Dante. "What's going on?" Dante asked.
"Tai is with Grimmjow and they're in the Silbern to rescue Halibel."
"Then Domon won't go back there if Tai is there. That means he'll be close by. Orochidayo, let's begin the interrogation." Dante and Orochidayo walked over to Vergil, who was pinned to the wall. "Let's have a chat, shall we?"
...
Lights from the Quincy Vollstandig exploded through out the Shadow Soul Society. A newly armored Komamura had returned to confront Bambietta, who had previously stolen his Bankai. Shinji had joined him with an active Sakenade. Initially effected by it, Bambietta quickly took him out with a bomb to the chest. Hinamori immediately tried to avenge her fallen Captain but Komamura cut her off and tried to deflect Bambietta's bomb. However it was revealed by she didn't use bombs. Her ability was that anything her orbs touched became bombs. So Komamura took an explosion to the arm. Bambietta then sent a barrage of orbs at Komamura who had to shield Hinamori from the blast. The explosions easily destroyed Komamura's armor revealing something different. Komamura was human. He revealed that he had rip his heart out and gained the Humanization Technique. This technique made him immortal. He activated his Bankai which had taken on a more powerful form and went on the offensive. Knowing she couldn't hurt him anymore, Bambietta tried to escape. Komamura however had no intentions on letting her escape. He took her out of the sky with a massive strike from his Shogun's Blade. With Bambietta out of the picture Komamura set his sights on Juha. Unfortunately his time was up and instead of returning to his normal Werewolf form, he was reduced to a mere wolf. Unable to move, he began to curse himself. Until Vice-Captain Tetsuzaemon picked him up and began carrying him towards Juha. A defeated Bambietta tried desperately to pick herself up, when the other female Sternritters surrounded her. "Poor Bamby, you weren't suppose to lose." Giselle chuckled.
A look a terror went across Bambietta's face. "N-no...S-stay away."
...
In the tall tower at the center of the Shadow Soul Society sat Juha. "Your Majesty, did you predict that they would recover their Bankai?" Uryu asked.
"Of course. This will give them the false confidence to win. Confidence to think they'll be stronger that the Quincy Vollstandig." Juha explained. "Real despair starts now."
"Sir, what about BK9?" Uryu asked.
"Sacrifices are necessary in war times. That's what BK9 was. A sacrifice."
"But you sacrificed him to a Shinigami. Is that really the smart thing to do?"
"Don't worry about Domon. He won't stand in my way."
...
Kyoraku continued his staredown with Haschewalt. "Our forces seem to be even on the battlefield." Haschewalt said.
"My my, how modest of you. But you seemed to be onto something." Kyoraku said back.
"But that is why I'm here. My job is to make the odds lean in our favor." Haschewalt swung his sabre at the barrier between them.
"Oh that was rather impulsive. I almost forgot you could steal Spirit Energy."
"I was steadily draining the Spirit Energy from your barrier. It actually took longer than I thought."
"Hear that?" Kyoraku chuckled.
"His flattery means nothing to me." Nanao said. She immediately erected another barrier.
Haschewalt sighed. "Not as impressive as the other barrier, but I'm not fallen for your trap. I guess I'll have to use a more forceful method." He raised his sabre again and Kyoraku prepared for his attack.
Haschewalt quickly stopped short. "It seems I must return to his Majesty."
"That's too bad. When will you be back?" Kyoraku asked.
"When I'm ordered to."
Kyoraku smiled. "Do tell me how things are going in the Silbern when you return." Haschewalt glared at him in confusion before disappearing.
...
Nothingness was the only feeling at first. A burning sensation was the first replacement. The taste of blood and the smell of dull smoke was next. The sound of pacing footsteps was heard first, but a variety of sounds followed. Finally sight was beginning to return. It was dark and hazy, but it started to become clearer and clearer. When all the senses had returned, a strong feeling a fatigue set in. One that prevent movement. However it wasn't the only thing that prevented movement. Then the voice came. "So you're awake?"
"Wh-who said that?"
"It seems you are still out of it, Captain Soi Fon."
"You." She looked up to see him, Domon Higurashi. "Where am I?"
"That's such a good question. You will know very soon. After all you are the key to the Wanderer's downfall."
"He will kill you."
Domon chuckled. "No, he won't."
