Ezra's POV
I spend nearly half an hour searching for Aria. Realization washes over me, and I decide to check the rose garden in the backyard. Sure enough, Aria is sitting on the bench and sobbing. The sight breaks my heart, and I'm desperate to make her feel better.
"Aria!" I exclaim as I rush over to her.
Aria looks up at me and then turns her head.
"You look cold." I say as I pick her up and cradle her like she's a baby.
My loving action causes Aria to cry even more.
"Why are you crying? Do you wish that one of the handsome young men at the party was your husband?" I joke.
To my dismay, Aria doesn't laugh at my lame joke like she usually would.
"Oh baby, please don't let them get to you. You were the most beautiful woman at the party." I tell her truthfully.
"S-she hates me." Aria says through her tears.
"Who cares? She isn't worth it Aria." I say as I stroke her dark hair.
"I know it's stupid, but I do care about what your mother thinks of me." Aria confesses.
"Why?" I ask confused.
"Because even though Dianne is a bitch, she is still your mother. I wouldn't have you if it weren't for her." Aria says with sniffle.
"My mother and her friends think that you're smart, kind, and beautiful." I tell her.
"Then why were they so mean?" Aria asks as begins to cry even harder.
"Because they wish that they could be those things, and they're jealous that you are." I say with a slight smile.
"Why did you choose me Ezra?" Aria asks me suddenly.
"What are you talking about?" I ask confused.
"You could have easily married Jackie. If it weren't for me, you'd have all this money." Aria explains.
"I don't care about money Aria, I care about you. What my mother doesn't realize is that money doesn't but happiness. Jackie doesn't even compare to you." I say as I pull Aria even closer to me.
Aria's cries soften and she wraps her arms around my neck.
"If it weren't for you I would have Jem, Caroline, or my other half." I say to Aria.
"I love you." Aria says with a sniffle.
"I love you too, and I wish I could give you the world." I tell her seriously.
"You already have." Aria says with a slight smile.
"Why don't we ditch this party and enjoy a nice dinner together?" I ask her.
"That sounds wonderful." Aria tells me.
"Let's go beautiful." I say as I kiss Aria's hand.
Line Break
Aria and I sit in a fancy Italian restaurant and enjoy each other's company. I glance across the restaurant and notice our waiter checking out Aria from a distance. I give him an angry look and grab Aria's hand.
"I think our waiter has a little crush on you." I tell Aria.
"No." Aria says with an eye roll.
"I don't blame him, you're probably the most gorgeous thing that's ever set foot in this place." I say with a chuckle.
"Ezra I'm really feeling a lot better, you don't have to keep flattering me like this." Aria says with a blush.
"Why can't I praise my flawless wife?" I asks with a pout.
"On second thought, you can continue." Aria says with a smile.
"Anything else for you today?" Our waiter asks when he approaches our table.
"We'd like two orders of crème brûlée and chocolate gelato." I tell the man cooly.
"That sounds so good!" Aria exclaims.
"I love spoiling you." I tell her truthfully.
"I like it when you spoil me too." Aria confesses.
"Do you think Emily and Paige would let Jem and Caroline stay with them tonight?" I ask Aria curiously.
"Probably, what do you have in mind?" She asks me.
"I was hoping we could stay at a hotel in the area." I suggest.
"That sounds lovely, I'll ask them now." Aria says as she pulls out her phone.
Aria talks for a few minutes before hanging up.
"They said yes!" She exclaims happily.
"Good, because we need some alone time." I say as I wink at Aria.
Aria's POV
After enjoying a delicious dinner, Ezra and I check into a nearby hotel. As soon as we enter the hotel room, Ezra takes off my dress and we end up making love for hours.
"That was incredible." I say as I cuddle Ezra lovingly.
"It was." He says before kissing my neck.
"Do you remember the first time me made love?" I ask him curiously.
"Of course I do, it was after I lost my job at Hollis." Ezra says to me.
"I remember that I was really nervous, but every ten seconds you would ask me if I was okay." I say with a smile.
"I didn't want to hurt you." Ezra confesses.
"You didn't." I assure him.
"I have in the past." Ezra says with a sigh.
"What? No!" I argue
"Do you remember when you were watching Malcolm and he fell off the bed?" Ezra asks me.
"Yes." I say with a nod.
"I yelled at you even though it wasn't your fault." Ezra says ashamed.
"It's in the past." I tell him softly.
"Malcolm was a nice kid, but I'm glad he isn't my son. You're the only woman who I'd ever want to have children with." Ezra confesses.
"We do make beautiful babies." I say as I think of Jem and Caroline.
"We do." Ezra says in agreement.
"The other day you asked me if I ever thought about having another baby." I say thoughtfully.
"And you said no." Ezra reminds me.
"Is that what you want?" I ask Ezra curiously.
"I'm happy either way." Ezra says to me.
"I think maybe I've changed my mind." I say truthfully.
"What are you saying?" Ezra asks me.
"That I want another baby!" I say nervously.
"Y-you do?" Ezra asks as joy fills his eyes.
"Yes." I say with a nod.
"Oh Aria!" Ezra says as he wraps his arms around me.
"This will be our last child though." I say to Ezra.
"You said that about Caroline too." Ezra says with a chuckle.
"I mean it this time." I say seriously.
Ezra responds by kissing me passionately.
"Ezra I'm tired!" I tell him.
"So am I, but making a baby takes a lot of work." Ezra says in a humorous tone.
"You have a point." I say with a small laugh.
Ezra responds by attacking my lips and rolling on top of me.
What did you think? Are you happy with their decision? I'll update as soon as I get 20 reviews. Thanks for reading!
