Once Upon A Time In Frozen Hills
Time turned back years earlier to when Rukia and Hisana were only eight years old. Frozen Hills was a small city that was positioned high in the mountains. Rukia's house was a large log type cabin sitting on the top of a rocky type hill. With a bunch of similar log houses scattered around in the neighborhood. The air was cold and the area itself was grassy with numerous pine trees that seemed to stand as tall as skyscrapers and the sky was covered with dark grey layer of storm clouds.
As soon as the large yellow school bus came to a complete stop. The doors opened wide and a little girl with shoulder length jet black hair jumped out. She was wearing a buttoned up pink raincoat, blue pants, and purple rain boots. She smiled happily and looked up at the grey clouds with her large violet eyes.
"Hurry up Hisana," said the eight year old Rukia. "It might snow any moment now."
"I'm coming Rukia," said the eight year old Hisana who was wearing the same outfit as Rukia. "It's not snowing yet." She jumped off the last step.
The bus doors closed and the large vehicle promptly left with both girls watching it. Rukia laughed and started to run up the long drive up to her house. "Come on we have to get ready for the snow!"
"Rukia wait," yelled Hisana. "Mom said we have to hold hands when we get off the bus."
Rukia stopped and looked at her older twin sister. "Come on our house is right there." She pointed.
Hisana frowned at her younger twin sister and held her hand out. "Mom's going to get mad at uuuuus." She spoke in a taunting tone.
Rukia rolled her eyes and groaned. "Fine," she replied in annoyance. She walked over and grabbed her sisters hand.
Hisana then smiled at her as they kept walking up their long drive way. "Bet I can run there faster than you."
"No way." Rukia giggled.
The two girls started to laugh out loud as they held hands and ran as fast as they could until they both finally made it to their house. They both saw a beautiful young woman sitting on the front porch step. Wearing a white jacket, dark blue jean pants, and blue boots. She had soft icy blue eyes, long flowing snow white hair with spiky long front bangs, and pink lips. Shirayuki Togame looked up at them, closed her eyes, and smiled at the two young girls.
"Mommy," Rukia and Hisana yelled out in unison. They ran up to their mother and gave her the biggest hug.
"My beautiful daughters are home." She always said that when her daughters came home. Their mother hugged them back lovingly. "Did you two have a good day at school?"
"Yeah," said Rukia and Hisana as they buried their heads in her shoulders.
Rukia looked at her mother. "Is it going to snow tonight Mom?"
"Yeah," said Hisana looking at her mom. "I want it to snow too."
"Well the weather men are saying there is a good chance of that happening."
"Yaaaayyy," said the twins at the same time.
"You two can go out and play, but only if your homework is finished." She lightly poked both of their noses with her index finger.
"Awwww man." Rukia looked down.
Hisana then ran around her mom and went up the porch steps to the front door.
"Where you going Hisana," asked Rukia.
Hisana opened the door and looked at her sister. "I'm going to do my homework right now so I can build the biggest snowman in the whole world." She then ran in the house.
Rukia's mouth dropped. "What!? That's not fair!" She puffed her cheeks up. "I want to build a snowman too."
Shirayuki leaned in close to her daughter, she closed her eyes, and smiled at her youngest child. "You better hurry up then Rukia or else Hisana will play without you."
"Ah what!" Rukia frowned her violet eyes at her mother. "No way!" She then ran around her mom and opened up the door. "I'm going to finish before her."
Rukia then jumped and turned around to see her mother Shirayuki coughing violently while she covered her mouth. After a few more deep sounding coughs Shirayuki took a deep breath and exhaled.
"Mommy," Rukia said a scared tone. "Are you sick?" She took a step forward towards her.
Shirayuki looked at her daughter with a surprised look, before turning back to her warm expression. "Of course not sweetie I'm fine," she said happily. "It's just a small cough. It comes and goes." She got up on her feet and walked over to her daughter. She bent down and smiled at her. "Don't worry about me okay," she said softly as she lightly poke Rukia's nose with her finger. Rukia instantly blushed and started to rub the tip of her nose. "Now go do your homework quickly. It can snow at any moment now." She smiled as she looked up.
Rukia's jaw dropped. "What! No way!" She quickly turned around and ran inside. "Dang it all," she yelled out loud as she ran upstairs.
Shirayuki crossed her arms and giggled as she watched her daughter.
"Mom always had health problems as far back as I could remember," said the present twenty-two year old Rukia. "As Hisana and grew up….. Mom would always break out into these horrible coughing attacks…..It always worried me, but every time I asked mom about it….Heh…. She would just smile at me and poke the tip of my nose. She kept telling me that she was fine… But as we grew older… Me and Hisana knew that mom was sick. And yet… Mom raised two girls and worked a fulltime job all by herself. My mom is the strongest woman in the world. Every time I looked at her she was so wise and pretty…. She was… a living God. I still to this day want to be like her. At that time we were just one big happy family. Not a care in the world. Just the three of us. It was… The perfect life. And I loved every day of it."
Years went forward and the sun shinned high in the sky in Frozen Hills. A fifteen year old Rukia Togame with long flowing black hair laid down on her bed wearing a pure black t-shirt and short brown shorts. Rukia's room wasn't very big, but at least it was her own. The walls were full of posters of boy bands, shirtless muscular men, and she even had a dark poster of a skull with flames.
The young fifteen year old girl kept her eyes closed and lightly bobbed her head up and down in rhythm as she listened to the blaring rock music from her headphones. Her door then opened up and Hisana walked in her room wearing a black dress with white poke dots and pink flowers. Like her sisters Hisana jet black hair had also grew long and reached the middle part of her back.
Hisana's violet eyes looked around and her jaws dropped as she saw Rukia lying on her bed. Hisana crossed her arms, narrowed her eyes in anger, and started taping her feet on the ground. Rukia's eyes then came to life and she looked at her older sister. She raised an eyebrow in confusion and took her headphones off. "What's up sis?" Rukia smiled. "Issssssss there a problem?"
Hisana raised her right eyebrow. "I would say there is because those my headphones?"
Rukia looked down at the pink headphones and then at her sister. "Ummmmmmm." Rukia slowly started to shake her head. "Noooooo," she lied and smiled at her sister.
"Give em back Rukia." She held her hand out.
"Oh come on your headphones are so nice." Rukia sat up in her bed.
"Where are yours," asked Hisana.
"Uuuuuuhhh." Rukia had an uneasy look on her face as she turned her head towards her desk.
Hisana looked and saw a pair of headphones completely snapped in half. "What happened to those?"
Rukia looked down sadly. "I… Sat on them."
Hisana groaned in annoyance. "Not again."
"Sorry." Rukia smiled awkwardly. "I didn't see them."
"Well give me mine. I want to listen to music too." Hisana held her hand out again.
"Oh come on." Rukia put her hands together. "Just give me at least one more hour with them."
"No way," snapped Hisana. "Their mine and I want them now!" Her violet eyes then shot to a picture of a shirtless muscular man wearing a cowboy hat. Hisana blushed and pointed at it. "What is this?"
"That? I don't know?" Rukia shrugged. "I thought he was cute. Don't you think so?"
"No," Hisana blushed and looked away from it.
"Yeah right. Your face is getting all red. You're totally fantasizing about kissing him huh?"
Hisana looked at her younger sister and gasped. "Eewwww no! Of course not!" She put her hands on her hips and looked around in Rukia's room. "I swear every time I come in here you always have another ugly poster up. And why did you paint your room dark blue?"
Rukia frowned at her sister. "I like dark blue."
Hisana shook her head. "Terrible. Just terrible." She placed her hand on her forehead.
Rukia stood up so that she was eye to eye with Hisana. "Well at least my rooms better looking than yours." She then walked out her room and opened Hisana's room that was just across from hers. "At least my room isn't all pink!"
Hisana's room was a lot different looking. The walls were painted pink, and the walls were covered in posters with pictures of cute animals.
"I mean who the hell has posters of kittens!?" Rukia pointed at the picture of a kitten hanging from a tree. "What are you three?"
Hisana frowned in anger. "Well excuse me. I can't help it if I like cute things."
Rukia rolled her eyes. "Please," she said in disgust. "It was cute when we were ten. But were fifteen now Hisana. People are going to be laughing at you. And when they laugh at you they laugh at me. Cause….. You know? We have the same face. And they'll probably think that I'm you."
Hisana sighed as she started to feel bad about herself. "What happened to us," she thought. "We can never see eye to eye with anything anymore." Hisana groaned in defeat. "There used to be a time where we loved everything together. Now we have difference of opinion on everything. I miss the days where we had a lot more in common." Hisana looked down sadly.
Rukia's eyes grew in surprise when she saw Hisana's sad expression. She looked around. "I do like this one though," said Rukia.
Hisana looked up in surprise. "Which one?" She walked over to her and saw a picture of a cute fat white bunny rabbit with black eyes holding a carrot. "You mean Chappy The Rabbit?"
"Yeah." Rukia smiled. "It's cute."
"Well….." Hisana looked away in embarrassment. "You….You can have it if you want?"
"Really!?" Rukia looked at her in amazement.
"Yeah." Hisana turned to her and smiled. "Take it."
Rukia nodded her head. "Thanks sis. I know a good spot too." She went over and gently took it down. She was about to walk out the door until she saw a new poster she hadn't seen before. She blinked at it and turned her head slightly as it was a lot different than the other posters that Hisana had hanging in her room. "Who is this," asked Rukia.
Hisana looked with her cheeks still glowing red. "Oh her?" She walked over to it and pressed her hand against it.
It was a poster of a beautiful, but menacing looking dark skinned woman. She had dark purple hair that was tied back in a short ponytail with a few small front bangs hanging free on her forehead. She stood with her whole body coated in a sheet of sweat. She had on a black sports bra with orange straps. The slit on the sport's top itself was far down enough to show off her perfect size breasts to give her a sexier looking image. She also had on mid thigh high orange trunks with black trim with the left pant leg showing a picture of a black cat that had long white fangs. She had bright orange boxing gloves with white tape wrapped around the sleeves and orange thin ankle bracers wrapped around her bare feet showing covering everything except her toes and the ball of her foot.
She stood with her boxing gloves up in an orthodox fighting stance while giving off a menacing glare with her gold cat like eyes. Her lips were parted and revealing her orange mouthpiece that fit snuggly between her teeth.
"That is Yoruichi The Dark Liger," said Hisana. "I just got this from my friend."
"Who is Yoruichi," asked Rukia as she took a step closer to the poster.
"She's a professional kickboxer." Hisana looked down and started to twiddle her thumbs. "
"Oh yeah." Rukia smiled. "I remember a few of the boys in our last class talking about it. I heard that sport is super popular."
Hisana nodded her head in agreement. "It is. Women's Kickboxing is loved all throughout the world actually. The top fighters make millions of dollars actually. But Yoruichi is my favorite fighter. She just turned thirty years old. She was originally a professional boxer but she retired that and moved on to kickboxing. Her pro boxing record was 30 Wins, 4 Losses, and 17 KO's. She was a four time defending champion." Hisana spoke with enthusam. "Now she's joined the WFKA league. Which stands for World Famous Kickboxing Association. She currently has 26 Wins, 2 Losses, and 19 KO's. She's currently ranked 1 in the WFKA." She clapped her hands. "It was so exciting to see her climb her way to number 1."
"So does that mean she's the champion then?" Rukia frowned at her in confusion.
"I thought that too." Hisana held her index finger up. "But the way it works is this. The weaker fighters aren't ranked. Unless your able to get a match with a ranked opponent. So the numbering goes rank 25 to 11. Then rank 10-1 which are the top ten strongest fighters in the league. And then after rank 1 is the WFKA Champion." Hisana smiled.
Rukia smirked at her sister. "How do you know all this? You never follow sports?"
"I know but…." Hisana pressed her index fingers together as her face started to turn a brighter red. "I accidentally caught one of Yoruichi's fights on TV a couple months ago."
Rukia titled her head at her. "Aaaaaaand?"
"Aaaaaand….." Hisana closed her eyes for a few seconds. "It was soooooo awesome to see." She opened her big violet eyes that were shining brightly. "I can't really describe it… It was just so exciting to watch. My heart…." She placed her hand on her chest. "Just wouldn't stop beating. It was like nothing I ever felt before."
Rukia raised an eyebrow as she looked at her sister. "That's weird," thought Rukia. "Hisana and I have both done Softball and Track in the past. But she never particularly liked the combat type of sports." Rukia frowned. "Really?" She spoke out loud.
"Yeah," said Hisana with a big smile on her face. "I know it sounds crazy, but I really like it. Yoruichi is the best. She's sooooo cool, she's pretty, and she's really strong. And believe it or not she's actually really nice too. She's just the best. I have like… The biggest girl crush on her." Hisana blushed as she looked at her Yoruichi awesome poster.
Rukia looked at her for a couple seconds. "Hisana are you gay?"
Hisana looked at her younger sister with angry violet eyes. "No I'm not! I said I had a girl crush! That doesn't mean I'm in love with her!"
Rukia then shot her older sister her own menacing glare. "Don't get mad at me you're the one that's acting weird!"
"You're weird," Hisana snapped."
"No you are," Rukia snapped right back.
"Girls! Girls!" Shirayuki walked in wearing a beautiful long white dress that matched her white hair perfectly. "What are you two yelling about now?"
"Mooooom," said a sad Hisana. "Rukia is being mean to me."
Rukia turned ghost white. "I am not," she turned to her sister and yelled.
Shirayuki closed her icy blue eyes and instantly reopened them to show her daughters the coldest iciest stare ever. "Both of you stop yelling. It's not very lady like." She spoke firm tone.
Rukia and Hisana both felt a chill run up their spines as they felt their mother's eyes look into their souls. Their mother was the nicest woman in the world. But Shirayuki Togame could also be one of the scariest people alive when she got serious. The twins then both dropped their heads in defeat. There was no way they could win with their mom. In fact they could never win. Shirayuki was a god to them.
"Now…" She said back in her normal soft sweet voice. "I just wanted to remind you both to get ready for your fist day of high school tomorrow." She smiled at her daughters happily.
Hisana smiled back at her mom. "Oh yeah I forgot. It's going to be so awesome."
Rukia sighed in depression. "Can't summer vacation go on forever?"
"Don't be like that Rukia." Shriayuki looked at her younger daughter. "High school is great. You never know what new people you're going to meet? Plus high school is where I met your father after all."
Hisana eyes rose. "Really? You think I could meet my future husband in high school?" Hisana put her hands together in hope. "Ooooh my," she said in an enchanted voice. "How romantic that would be."
Rukia groaned in disgust. "Can I throw up in your trash can Hisana?"
Hisana shot her an annoyed glare. "Can I throw up on you?"
Rukia and Hisana locked eyes with their own icy glares. They both made a fist and growled at each other in annoyance. Like two angry dogs.
"Girls." Shirayuki then grabbed both of their ears and lightly tugged on them. "Be nice to each other."
"Ow ow ow ow ow," Hisana and Rukia cried out. "Were sorry!"
She released them and turned her head to look at poster. "Oh my that's Yoruichi huh?" She then looked back at both of her daughters and smiled happily. "I like her she's cool," she said before she left Hisana's room.
Both Rukia and Hisana's jaws dropped down in shock.
"What the hell," said Rukia. "Does everyone know who this Yoruichi is but me?"
Later that night Rukia laid in her bed with her feet out of the covers as she looked up at the ceiling. The room was pitch black and the house itself was so quiet you could hear the crickets chirping outside.
Rukia couldn't sleep. Her mind kept on racing with thoughts of what her first day of high school would be like. She took a deep breath and turned on her side. "I can't believe I have to go to high school. This sucks." She put her hand over her chest. "My heart won't stop racing on what it will be like." Her expression then saddened. "I'm actually pretty scared," she thought. "I hope everyone's nice." Rukia then ran her fingers through her front spiky bangs. "I wonder if Hisana is just as nervous as I am? Hmph! Probably not. She seemed pretty happy about it. Finding her future husband and all. What a joke." She then turned on her back and put her hands on the back of her head as thoughts of her being with her husband started to flood in her mind. "I wonder if I could meet my future husband? I mean if it happened to mom then…" Rukia then frowned in anger. "No dad past away before me and Hisana were even born. And now mom is all alone. It's so sad. I mean…. She has me and Hisana. But I wonder why she doesn't date. She's super pretty… She could easily get any guy she wants. I wonder why."
Rukia finally closed her eyes, but her mind was still wide awake. "…..Yoruichi The Dark Liger huh? I can't believe Hisana actually admitted to liking kickboxing. I mean….. It's a crazy brutal full contact sport. It seems so out of character for her…. I mean she has a room full of stuffed animals and kitten posters for god sake." Rukia sighed in defeat. "I don't know. Maybe I should look it up sometime? If Hisana likes it so much…. Maybe it won't be that bad to take a look at it." Rukia thought to herself before she was finally able to go to fall asleep.
BREAK
Three weeks past and the twins were able to settle into high school perfectly. At school Rukia sat in her desk wearing her standard school uniform which comprised of a black blouse, with a bright red tie, a red plaid skirt that was cut a little above her knees, and white socks with black shoes. She leaned forward on her desk with her head resting on her arms while she enjoyed hearing the music playing from her headphones.
"Hey Rukia," said a happy looking long blonde haired girl. "Rukiaaaaa." But her expression dimmed when she saw that Rukia couldn't hear her. She grabbed Rukia's headphones and took them off her head.
Rukia's eyes came to life and she looked at the blonde girl with an annoyed expression. "Hey what hell Chiyo!?"
Chiyo puffed her cheeks up like a kid. "Don't get mad me. I called out to you like 30 times." She handed Rukia back her headphones.
Rukia sighed. "What is it?" She scratched the back of her head.
"I wanted to ask you if you have joined a club yet?"
Rukia eyebrow rose. "Club?"
"Yeah it's the third week of school." Chiyo raised a finger while she spoke. "It's mandatory that we join at least one club."
"Oh yeah that…." Rukia looked up in thought. "Naaaah not really. I was thinking volley ball buuuuuut." Rukia placed her hands in the back of her head as she leaned back in her chair. "That sounds too complicated. I guess I'll do track again. I mean it's pretty simple. Just run faster than everyone else and you win." She smiled and shrugged at her friend.
"Really," Chiyo asked a she laced her fingers together. "That sounds cool."
"Yeah." Rukia closed her eyes and crossed her arms. "Plus sometimes the guys run with their shirts off." Her cheeks blushed slightly. "So that's a bonus."
Chiyo's faced turned pure red. "Wha…..Wha…..Wha….. WHAT REALLY!?
"Quite the outspoken one," said another girl that had short purple hair.
Chiyo gasped and turned to her. "Nori have you joined a club yet?"
"Swimming club," Nori said plainly with her bored looking purple eyes.
"Oh!" The blonde haired Chiyo laced her fingers together. "That sounds like fun."
"Yeah I guess," said Nori. "But mainly because there's a bunch of cute guys that walk around with their shirts off." She smiled like a demon.
Rukia laughed out loud and Chiyo's jaw dropped with her face turning completely red again. "What is wrong with you people," Chiyo asked with her big brown watery eyes.
"That's not a bad idea," said Rukia. "Maybe I might join that one. It sounds pretty fun."
"What about your sister Rukia," asked Nori. "Has she chosen one yet?"
"I don't know." Rukia shrugged. "Any club will be lucky to have her. As much as I hate to admit it…. Hisana is just as athletic as I am."
Chiyo gasped slightly. "Really? Is Hisana just as good as you?"
Rukia narrowed her violet eyes in anger. "To be honest no," she said with hate. "She's actually amazing at sports."
Nori ran her fingers through her purple hair. "Is that true?" She smiled. "Hisana acts so shy and looks frail. She doesn't seem the type."
"I know," Rukia said in an annoyed tone. "But my irritating sister is a stupid talented girl."
Chiyo titled her head in confusion. "Stupid talented?"
"That's what I say about her. Her talent is at a stupid high level. She's good at everything," Rukia crossed her arms. "Through my whole life Hisana has beaten me in everything. From sports all the way to test scores." Rukia closed her eyes. "There have been times where I've been so close at winning against her." She reopened her eyes. "But I always fall short in the end. And it's soooooo frustrating." Rukia dug her nails in her desk. "Just once….. Just once I want to beat her at something." She showed her teeth in anger as she imagined her sister smiling as she held a 1st place trophy.
"Heh sibling rivalry I see," said Nori.
Chiyo tried to put on a tough face. Which was hard considering she looked way too nice to ever be mean or serious. "Must be tough Rukia. But don't worry. You'll beat her someday." She made a fist. "As long as you keep trying!"
"It's alright." Rukia smirk. "But I doubt I'll get that chance again. Will most definitely be in different clubs this time. We use to do everything together, but we have different views these days."
The sun was beginning to set on Frozen Hills High. Rukia waved bye to her two new friends and she held her brown bag suitcase firmly in hand as she slowly walked down the stairs alone.
"What club should I join," wondered Rukia. "I'm pretty good at track. But then again." Rukia's cheeks started to blush. "Boys with their shirts off in the swimming club." Rukia chuckled to herself and then she shook her head violently to snap herself out of her trance.
Rukia walked out the main front doors feeling the cool outside air hitting her face. She walked a long with a bunch of other students until she stopped when noticing her older sister Hisana looking at a smaller building that stood a little ways away from the main school building.
Rukia blinked at her and walked towards her. "Hisana!"
Hisana jumped and she turned at her younger sister with shocked violet eyes. "Rukia?" She exhaled and put her hand over her chest. "You scared me."
"Sorry," replied Rukia. "What are you doing? Let's go home."
Hisana eyes shot away as she started to adjust her red plaid tie. "Ummmmm uuuuhhhh I…." She shut her mouth as her cheeks started to glow red in embarrassment. "But I….."
Rukia blinked at her in confusion. "What's with you? You have to go to the bathroom or something?"
Hisana frowned at Rukia and stomped her foot on the ground with her face turning red with rage. "No I don't," she yelled with her teeth turning razor sharp.
Rukia smirked at her and shrugged. "Then what's eating you sis? Why do you look so nervous?"
Hisana opened her mouth to speak, but she quickly closed it again. Whatever it was. She was having a really saying what was on her mind.
Rukia looked at her sister and then her eyes shot at the building Hisana was gazing at. Rukia saw a group of two boys and girls smiling and laughing with each other with giant bags hanging on their shoulders. They laughed just before they walked in the building.
Rukia titled her head to the side as her eyes followed them. "Are they joining for a club?"
Hisana pressed her index fingers together. "Yeah," she said shyly. "I was thinking about… Joining them."
"Oh yeah." Rukia looked at her twin sister. "Which club is it? Volleyball?"
Hisana lowered her head. "Noooo. I was thinking of…"
"What is it then?" Rukia frowned at her.
Hisana's cheek's glowed brighter. "It's….Ummmmmm." She dropped her head in defeat.
Veins appeared all around Rukia's face as she gave her sister the meanest look she could. "You suck." She turned and walked towards the building. "The hell with it! I'll find out myself!" She growled as she stomped towards the building.
"Wait noooooo," Hisana yelled out as she pulled Rukia's arm. "You can't go in there!"
"Watch me," snapped Rukia.
Hisana pulled on her younger sister's arm with all her might to stop her, but try as she might. But her shoes skidded on the ground as Rukia pulled her along.
"Please Rukia don't go in there."
"Shut up," Rukia said out loud. "It must be something interesting if you're so scared of it." Rukia opened the door and she walked in with Hisana still trying to pull her back.
The twin's violet eyes then grew in shock at the same time.
"What the hell?" Rukia said softly.
Inside were several boys and girls all wearing red long tank tops, red shorts, and red shoes with black swirls on the side. One guy was pounding a heavy punching bag. Forcing the heavy bag to bend and snap as his gloves kept landing. Making a loud whack noise that echoed in the gym. Three girls were laying down on their backs doing sit-ups in unison, four guys stood next to each other jabbing swiftly at the air, and in a boxing ring stood a girl and a boy doing mitt training together.
"This is….." Rukia's eyes shot around. "The boxing club?"
"Okay you've seen it." Hisana hid behind Rukia. "Let's go home."
"Hello there," said a male student that was walking up to them.
Rukia's jaw dropped again and Hisana turned pure white as they both saw him. This male student had a different outfit than all the others. He had on a black tank top, white gym shorts, and black shoes. He had short black hair with long spiky bangs and grey eyes. Both of their cheeks turned a faint reddish color as they saw his large muscles on his arms and shoulders.
"Wow," thought Rukia. "Who is this cutie?"
"Oh god," thought Hisana. "He's… He's looking at us?" She felt her temperature rising at an un heard of rate. "Why is he looking at us? Wow his muscles look big. Wait! What am I saying!?"
Rukia smiled back happily. "Hello yourself," she said playfully as she purposely flicked her long hair over her shoulder to look cute.
"You're Rukia and Hisana Togame." He pointed at them.
Rukia and Hisana's violet eyes grew. "Yeah how did you know that," asked Hisana.
"Well you are the only two identical twins in the whole school. People kind of take notice to that." He smirked.
Hisana looked down in embarrassment. "Oh yes of course." She laughed nervously. "That makes sense."
"My name is Byakuya Captain of the Frozen Hills High Boxing Team." He held his hand out to them. "It's nice to meet you two."
"Same here." Rukia shook his hand first.
"Byakuya?" Hisana titled her head. "As in Byakuya Kuchiki of the Kuchiki Family!?"
"Yeah." Byakuya nodded his head and closed his eyes as if he was ashamed of it. "I'm afraid that's me."
"Byakuya Kuchiki?" Rukia looked at him with a serious look. "I have no idea what that is." Her expression turned happy. "Are you a famous movie star or something?" She smiled at him.
"No." Hisana flung her head back in annoyance. "Rukia… Byakuya is part of the richest most powerful family in the whole world. Just last year they generated 10.5 billion dollars."
"Wow," said Rukia. "That is a lot of money." She looked up in thought. "I don't even know what I'd do if I had that much money," she thought to herself. "But this Byakuya Kuchiki guy really is hot. I mean he's cute, fit, and he's got money!? What more could a girl want?" Rukia smirked as she looked at Byakuya.
"They work on a ton of technological advances all around the world." Hisana spoke in an interested tone. "I read this one article where there working a project for a new smart phone that might display hologram 3d images. Just like what they do in the movies.
"Hisana you know too much about things." Rukia looked at her sister with a bored expression. "And you're babbling too much again."
"You seem to know a lot about my family." Byakuya smirked at her. "I'm impressed. I'd wager you probably know more about it than me."
"Oh no." Hisana looked away in embarrassment. "I don't know that much. I just read a little bit."
"Were you two interested in joining the Boxing Club?" He looked at both of them.
"Well…..About that…." Rukia put her index finger on her chin. "I wasn't really sure but…." Her eyes shot up and down enjoying the small eye candy. "I sort of wanted to try it." She smiled cutely at him.
Byakuya blinked at her in confusion before he turned to Hisana. "And what about you?"
Hisana lowered her head as she laced her fingers together. "Ummmmm I… Uuuuuhhh." She then closed her mouth an remained silent.
"Hisana!?" She looked back at her older sister who looked like she was back to being a nervous wreck. "Damn it," thought Rukia. "She's freaking out in social situations again. It's so annoying when she can't speak up. It really pisses me off." Rukia's eyes grew in realization. "Now that I think about it. I don't want to join the stupid Boxing Club? Why did I say I wanted to try it!? I don't want to get hit in the face. I like the way I look." Rukia narrowed her eyes as she kept thinking. "I mean I know I'm no Scarlett Johansson, but I think I at least look cute…... And getting my face beat up would totally suck. But Hisana….." Rukia looked back at her sister who was still stumbling with her words. "She's gotten really into this whole kickboxing sport. I guess she really wants to join the Boxing Club since we don't have a kickboxing team in school. But she's so shy. She never speaks up. I mean look at her. She's have such a hard time speaking it looks like she's going to pass out." Rukia exhaled through her mouth. "Guess I'll give her a little push."
Rukia cleared her throat. "Hisana," she said in a serious tone. "Just be honest and tell him?"
Hisana looked at her with a surprised look. Rukia frowned at her and nodded her head in response.
"Umm…Uhhhh." Hisana swallowed as she fiddled with her thumbs. "I…."
"Come on damnit," thought Rukia. "This is why you don't have any friends Hisana. Stop being so shy all the time and just… TALK!"
Hisana closed her eyes. "Yes. I really really want to join." She spoke in a strained voice. "I don't have any experience. And to be honest….. I don't even think I'll be very good." said Hisana in a sad tone. "But I really do want to learn and I think it be a lot of fun if I do join." She looked at Byakuya with a pure red face. "So please teach me." She spoke with a pleading type tone."
Rukia's eyes grew big and her jaw dropped slightly as she looked at how serious her sister looked. "Hisana," she said softly. "No way….She actually spoke up for once," she wondered. "Not a bad step."
Byakuya blinked at Hisana in confusion and then smiled warmly at her. "Of course Hisana. I'd be happy to teach you."
Hisana smiled. "Tha….. Thank you." She looked away.
"What about you Rukia," asked Byakuya.
Rukia turned to him. "Make sure to go easy on us." Rukia chuckled. "Hisana and I never fought before in our life. Except for yelling at each other."
"I'll tell you what," said Byakuya. "Both of you can train with us for one week. If you think you can handle it your more than welcome to join. Sound like a deal?"
"Hmmmmm." Rukia looked down in thought. She turned locked eyes with Hisana.
Hisana narrowed her eyes in confidents and nodded her head at her.
"Alright!" Rukia turned back and grabbed Byakuya's hand and shook it firmly. "You're on!" She smirked in confidents.
BREAK
So a lot of interesting things I want to remind you. Rukia in the current time line is 22 years old and is a pro kickboxer that loves fighting with all her heart. But in this flashback Rukia is 15 and she has no knowledge what so ever of the fighting world. Hisana is the one that loves it.
And Yoruichi is 37 years old in the current time line. And the poster image of Yoruichi in Hisana's room is 30 years old. She is not a kickboxing champion yet.
And yep Shirayuki is Rukia and Hisana's biological Mother. I thought that was cool. Probably not original. But I still think it's cool.
Okay so not too bad of a cliff hanger this time and this chapter went over my ten page limit. This chapter was 15 pages. So five over my limit. But that's okay.
Honestly I always wanted to do a flash back with Rukia and Hisana as they grew up in high school. To tell the reader everything that happened. Why Rukia hates Hisana, how she became a Kuchiki, how Hisana became an Espada, and why she hates the Kuchiki Family.
I'm going to answer all that. Because I feel like I raised enough questions and held the mystery long enough. But don't worry they'll be new mysteries in the future. I just wanted to get all the old ones finally out of the way. LOL.
I was going to make it all in one chapter. But I realized that my stupid story telling mind wanted to go all out as it always does. I was originally going to quickly go through it and just hit on the most important parts. But I then realized that all of it is important and as I writing it I got a couple new good ideas along the way. So that added more stuff for me to explain. So at the end of it all... I decided to just take my time and just tell you guys/gals the story I want. Without making it seem all rushed.
I wanted to move forward with Rukia's career in the present time and have more Ichigo Rukia romance moments along with a few other new relationships that are going to appear very soon. But I do need to get through this backstory. And I'm going to make it as interesting and as awesome as possible.
So basically in order to go to the future you need to go to the past. (I know cliche and I hate myself for saying that, but it's really true.)... Really cliche though lol.
But seriously review and tell me what you thought.
Where you surprised with anything that you saw?
What do you think of Rukia and Hisana's relationship?
Was the flashback so far anything like what you thought it might be?
Anything your hoping to see in the future?
Or if you have any questions? I'll answer just as long as it's not a huge fucking spoiler. LOL.
Let me know in your reviews below.
