Ninjas Want Happiness Too
Living

Sakura walked through the door after a long shift at the hospital. She stumbled in the entry-way, kicking her boots off tiredly. She shuffled across the house to the kitchen and poured herself a glass of milk. Looking over at the counter, she paused as brightly colored flowers arranged in a really appealing way caught her attention. Beside the bouquet was a plate of peeled orange slices wrapped nicely with a note taped atop. She picked up the note and read over the lines of carefully scrawled kanji and hiragana. A smile toyed with her lips.

Sakura,

Sorry I'm not home. I would have loved to see you at the end of your three day shift, but Naruto needed me to take a mission for him. I should be home in the next few days. Don't worry about me. I've got the 'boys' with me as well as Yamato-kun and Sai-kun. I'll see you when I get home.

-You know who

Sakura chuckled softly as she unwrapped the 'apology' present. She popped a slice of orange into her mouth and nearly moaned around the sweet juicy bite. It was perfect. With a satisfied sound, she crossed to the living room and laid on the couch, eating her orange slices. She finished them quickly as she moved to turn the TV on. It wasn't long before she was out cold, snoring softly. The doorbell ring had Sakura flung from the couch in a second flat, kunai in hand, and barely awake. She blinked the bleary sleepiness from her eyes as her instincts kicked her awake. The doorbell was followed by knocking. With a frown, she turned to spot the clock on the wall. She nearly gaped openly at the time. It was already ten o'clock? She got home at noon! With a small groan, Sakura moved across the house to the front door. Her hand closed over the door-handle and she pulled it open.

Ino grinned at her, holding up a bag that gave off the most amazing aroma. Sakura's eyes closed as he she inhaled slowly.

"Is that…?" Sakura trailed off, feeling her mouth water.

"Tempura shrimp, veggies, and…?"

"No…" Sakura snagged the bag away. "Did you seriously manage to get deep-fried mochi?"

"Yup! Iori-san was a little taken-aback when I asked him to do it up special." Ino snickered and moved inside the door. The pinkette was already halfway across her house to her kitchen; only pausing once to grab plates and cups.

"How'd you manage that?" Sakura inquired as she opened the bags before she froze. Her viridian eyes slowly raised to peek over the bags at the unabashedly grinning Ino. "…no…"

"Yes!" Ino danced around gleefully.

"You're dating our tempura guy!?" Although she loaded her voice with as much dismay as possible, Sakura was actually grinning from ear to ear.

"I wasn't going to say yes originally but he's just so darn cute and sweet! He even brought me flowers on the first date, Sakura!"

Ino moved to grab a plate and dish up her dosage of their favorite greasy food. Both women moved to the living room, sinking onto the comfortable couch. Ino was so giddy she was hardly touching her food. Sakura sighed in absolute bliss as the flavor of battered shrimp took up residency on her tongue. Looking over, she nudged Ino with her toe.

"Well? Spill, Pig! What happened? How'd it go?"

"Oh, Sakura…he showed up to my apartment wearing a tie. A tie! Who wears those anymore?! And with flowers! He was so cute the way he stuttered out an apology since he didn't understand flowers and their meanings or the language. He then took me to Nariobi for dinner!" Ino sighed dramatically as she clasped her hands in front of her heart. Sakura snorted and chuckled at her exuberance. "Oh! And then he took me for a walk. At my door, I fiddled with my keys, right? You know…giving him the signal…he didn't take it! Instead, he asked me…asked for permission to kiss my cheek! It was so cute and romantic. He even waited until I was inside before he walked away. Even though he knows I'm a kunoichi and can totally defend myself…he was such a gentlemen anyways! I've never felt like such a…such a woman before!"

Sakura smiled warmly as she bit into a new bite. The mochi, her absolute favorite, was on her tongue when her gut twisted in a way that made her gag. She was going to hurl. Without a second thought, her feet were moving before she could even think straight. Before Sakura knew it, she was bent over her toilet, heaving heavily. Ino was in the doorway right behind her with wide, concerned eyes.

"Sak? Oh my god! Are you okay?"

Once she finished, she dragged a towel over her face and frowned, leaning back. "I-I don't know…"

"What do you mean, 'you don't know'? You're the best medic of our generation…and you don't know?" Ino sounded panicked. Sakura waved her hand dismissively.

"I mean, I just…I guess my stomach isn't up for holding mocha tonight."

Ino frowned and helped her up, moving to check the pinkette's temperature at the same time. Her frown increased. "You're not running a fever either."

"Maybe I ate something bad earlier." Sakura shrugged and washed her hands and face before they returned to their seats. She pushed the food away forlornly. Instead, she grabbed her water and sipped it slowly. Ino sat down with a thoughtful expression.

And then it changed quicker than a fig tree branch could snap. "When was your period?"

"Uh…not exactly a conversation topic I want to have with you right now." Sakura hedged, not exactly the one to talk about feminine cycles with her friends.

"No! Forehead! Think about it! When was your last period?"

"A month ago. Why?"

"…are you late?"

Sakura rolled her eyes about to tell Ino to buzz off about her 'keeping track' of her period. She wasn't nearly as concerned about getting knocked up as…oh…OH. Her eyes went wide as she stared at the blonde in stunned silence. Ino's face went from concerned, to unsure, to completely over the top enthusiasm in a span of a minute.

"Oh my god! You could be pregnant!"

"N-now now…l-let's not jump to conclusions." Sakura felt a small bead of sweat roll down her neck. Her hands came up in a placating gesture. "We weren't trying to get pregnant…"

"Yeah, but were you protecting from it?" A knowing glint was in the blonde's eyes.

"…no…" Sakura admitted reluctantly. "It's okay though. I mean, I've been late before. It could easily be a false alarm."

"Yeah. And it could also be a freakin' bun in the oven!"

"Oh stop! Just because I threw up once and I'm a little late doesn't mean I'm pregnant!"

Ino sighed and nodded. "Yeah, yeah…true. But still. I really think you should test soon."

"I'm not going to test until I know for sure that I'm really, really late."

"Fine! Keep your best friend on edge then, why don't you?"

"Why not? It keeps you more amusing that way." Sakura teased, earning herself a slap on her upper arm.

…..

Home.

It was a concept Kakashi was still coming to terms with. He had a home to return to. Someone waiting for him. It was as surreal as it was comforting to think about. His mission was boring, simplistic…and to be honest? An entirely hellacious waste of his skills. Naruto was doing what he thought best for political alliance sakes, but still. Sending an over qualified shinobi on a simple escort mission was damn near insulting. He glanced at Sai, whom seemed to have been experiencing similar thoughts if the way his eyes were narrowed and his lips barely tightened were any indication. Nothing like a former ANBU and a former ROOT agent both on a simple mission. He also had a feeling that most of Sai's displeasure with the now month long mission had more to do with the way the diplomat's daughter had hit on him than the actual mission. Poor kid.

Turning his musings back toward home, Kakashi let out a tired breath of relief as the gates of his village came into view. He figured Sakura was going to kill him. If not him, than at the very least…Naruto for the extended part of the mission. He wasn't supposed to be gone for longer than a few days to a week maybe two. Instead, he'd been gone for a month. He considered not checking in and reporting as payback… But then again, he knew better. Naruto would appear on his door-step with a frown and the paperwork in hand. Sakura would then kick his ass two ways from Sunday until he got it done. Yeah. No. He'd rather get it over with and return to his wife to grovel. With a silent, inward groan, Kakashi dropped to the ground to walk through the gates alongside Sai. Izumo and Kotetsu waved in greeting as they passed. It wasn't long before they were in the Hokage tower and at Naruto's office door.

Hinata opened the door from the inside and bowed in greeting, ushering them inside. Kakashi nodded with a smiled at the Hokage's wife. Hinata led them over to Naruto's desk.

"Naruto…?" She gently stated, drawing the blonde's attention up from his stack of papers. "Kakashi-sensei and Sai-kun are here."

"Oh! Come in, come in!" Naruto shoved his stack aside, literally, causing Hinata to frown at him. She stepped forward with a warning look at him before she lifted the pile neatly and moved it aside to a safer location. Naruto looked sheepish as he scratched the back of his neck. Motioning them closer, he looked up. "Well? How'd everything go?"

"The man and his unsatisfactory daughter were safely deposited." Sai cut in abruptly, sounding the closest to disgusted and discontent as he'd ever before. Kakashi shot a highly amused look at the younger man.

Naruto frowned. "Unsatisfactory…?"

"She was a bit of a pill." Kakashi supplied, saving the other man from any further need to discuss the woman further. "Also had a bit of a thing for Sai."

Naruto actually laughed at that. Sai's expression blanked completely, but death was certainly the main thing swirling in the stoic shinobi's eyes. Kakashi cleared his throat, drawing attention to himself to avoid an, all-be-it-justified, murder. Sai seemed to calm a bit more and shifted to a more 'relaxed' posture for himself. Naruto sobered quickly and got to business. It wasn't too much later Kakashi was headed directly for his house with paperwork in hand. His feet landed soundlessly as he dropped from the top of the stoop onto the front steps. His hands formed the correct seals to unlock the door before he stepped inside. Removing his shoes, he stepped up into the home.

"Sakura…I'm home." He called out tiredly.

The sound of shuffling feet drew a soft smile from his lips as he tugged his mask down. So what if she was heading to kick his ass? Kakashi was going to enjoy every minute of it simply because it meant he was back home where he belonged…with her. Sakura rounded the corner and smiled broadly, rushing the rest of the way to him. He caught her as she jumped into his awaiting arms. Kakashi buried his nose in her hair, inhaling her unique scent with a deep breath. He couldn't help it.

Sakura sighed into him, her warm breath comforting to him. "Welcome home."

"I can't tell you how good it feels to be home."

She laughed, pulling back with a smile. However, he caught the apprehension she was trying to hide as she tugged him to the living room. Kakashi sat down on the couch as he watched her moved toward the kitchen.

"Guess it's a good thing I made too much food, huh?" Sakura teased lightly.

Kakashi hummed in reply. His emotions were in turmoil. Several questions kept flitting across his mind as once. Was she okay? What happened? Did something bad happen while he was gone? What wasn't she telling him? Unable to stand it, he rose from the couch and followed her into the kitchen.

"What's bothering you?"

Sakura paused in what she was doing to look up at him. A spark of worry flit through her bright eyes before she lowered her gaze to the pot. "Nothing to worry about…"

"Don't hedge, Sakura. What's wrong?" Kakashi reached over and turned her toward him. She wouldn't meet his gaze. Instantly, all the worst case scenarios rushed through him. Did she decide to leave him? Was she having an affair? Who was she seeing? Anger began to rush through him at the thought.

Sakura sighed and pulled back a bit. She leaned against the counter. "I-I didn't…it was an accident, Kakashi. I wasn't expecting this to happen."

Kakashi clenched his jaw and yanked his mask back up. "I see." He managed to hiss out. Turning away, he headed from the kitchen away from her. He couldn't face her without attacking her verbally. He needed to clear his mind first. Sakura's small hand clasped around his arm, pulling him to a stop.

"Kakashi! Wait! Would you hear me out before you go jumping to whatever conclusion you're making?"

Kakashi paused and counted to three so as not to wrench himself free of her with enough force to potentially hurt her. With his insides in turmoil, he slowly turned to look at her. He wasn't sure what his expression was before he had time to lock it down into a neutral one. If her reaction was any indication…it wasn't one she'd wanted to see. Sakura's eyes softened and began to fill with tears as she stepped back. She shook her head as she took a deep breath.

"Don't leave me."

It was a simple whisper that broke him. Damn her for being the one thing he could never walk away from. Damn him for letting her in this far. He cursed himself as he moved to pull her to his chest.

"Just…tell me what happened." He managed to force out. After all, Kakashi was her friend and team-mate before he let his heart rule him when it came to his precious blossom. However, he wasn't going to lie and say that holding her close while pretty sure his marriage was falling apart wasn't the hardest thing he'd ever had to endure.

"I-I'm pregnant."

And there was the sucker punch. He flinched and recoiled from her. How could he stay with…with this kind of betrayal looming over them. "How could you, Sakura…?"

Sakura's lip began to quiver but her eyes sparked with anger. It was building and he could see it. "H-how could I…? It's not like I planned to get pregnant! And you could at least pretend that it isn't the end of the world!"

"How could I not?! Who's baby is it?!" Kakashi burst, gesturing wildly at her belly.

Sakura blinked as a complete veil of confusion fell over her. "What…?"

With an exasperated sigh, Kakashi rubbed his brows. "I said…who's…baby…is it…?"

If there was one expression he could see coming onto Hatake Sakura's face from a mile away…it was the irrefutable rage that started as a simple light coloration on her neck before working its way up to mottle across her cheeks and brow.

"That's what you think?"

"What else am I to think?!"

"You automatically assumed I cheated on you!?"

Oh shit.

Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit…

Realization slammed him hard. He'd completely misread the whole situation. Oh fuck. He was dead. That was all there was to it. And this time, he pretty much deserved it. Kakashi would whole-heartedly admit that he'd really screwed the metaphorical pooch this time. Raising his hands in a placating gesture, he took a few calm steps backward.

"Sakura…please know that all the information was pointing in a horribly wrong direction…"

"So you can just easily believe that I would just…" Sakura threw her hand up wildly in her anger, "go screw another guy while you were away?! Just like that?! You really think that I'm capable of something that dirty and degrading?!"

"Eh…no. You see, I just—"

"JUST WHAT?!"

"Forgot to turn in my report to Naruto and I must be leaving now." Hands flying frantically into his transportation jutsu, Kakashi was gone with a puff of smoke. He was standing on the neighbor's house and began to high-tail it away from their home in order to preserve his life and genitals. Once he was far enough away to at least he was moderately safe, he came to stop atop Genma's apartment building. Breathing slowly, Kakashi went over everything from the moment he walked in the door to the moment he'd potentially damned himself to an early grave.

Dropping into a lazy crouch, he draped his arms over his knees with a simple uttering of, "fuck…"

"What'd you do now?" Genma's lackadaisical tone came from a little behind him before the brunette flopped beside him. The ever-present senbon was working around the shinobi's teeth as usual.

"…you really don't want to know."

"Oh?" Genma quirked an eyebrow. "Now I really do want to know."

Kakashi groaned and rubbed his masked face. "I…jumped the gun on something incredibly pig-headed and stupid of me."

"Like…?"

"I automatically believed she was cheating on me when she was just trying to tell me she was pregnant."

The hissing sound that proceeded Genma's immediate sitting up straight was enough of an indication that the news was, in fact, worse than even he was thinking. "Son of a bitch, Hatake! She's going to murder you!"

"Justifiably so." Kakashi agreed with a grimace.

"You know she isn't going to do it quickly, right?"

"Do you really have to remind me?"

"Just want you to be completely aware. She's a medic. She knows how to dissect things properly while keeping them alive." Genma added.

Kakashi dropped his head while hooking his locked hand on the back of his head. "Fuck…"

"Yup. I'd certainly say 'fucked' is your exact position. Well my friend," Genma clapped him on the back before rising quickly, "was a good go. I'm going to move before she sees me with you and decides to take me out too."

Kakashi sighed as Genma leapt down and moved out of sight. He didn't blame him. Looking up, he watched the small figure leaping from rooftop to rooftop. After all, Kakashi had felt her coming long before Genma decided to add his two cents. Facing his doom, he rose to his feet as she landed on the rooftop.

"Maybe we should take this to the training grounds. That way you can beat the living snot out of me and not damage anyone's home in the process."

Sakura looked up at him with tear soaked cheeks and red-rimmed eyes. He did what most men in his position would have done regardless. He panicked. Without thinking it entirely through, he moved to her and paused only a moment before pulling her to him.

"Sakura…I'm really sorry. And I'm not just saying this to make you decide not to kill me. I'm truly sorry…I honestly have no good reason for why I said or did anything."

"Do you want it?" Sakura hiccupped and sniffled into his shirt. He almost missed what she'd said. Pulling back, he brushed her hair from her face. The lock of hair stuck to her face from the moisture of her tears. Once cleared, he moved to press his masked lips to her forehead.

"Yes. Yes I do. I want this baby and any more we may end up with. I want to build a family with you. And I can't possibly begin to thank kami-sama enough for the life growing inside you now. Do you still want me?" It was supposed to be a teasing joke, but it came out a little too seriously.

Sakura looked up at him aghast. "Are you fucking kidding me?"

"A little?"

"You're not funny." Sakura grumped, stepping back and wiping her eyes.

"Sakura…you have every right to walk away from me."

A snort answered him. "Please. As if you're ever getting off that easy with me, asshole. You're stuck with me until you die a rotten old man in your bed."

"Beautiful scenery, love." Kakashi replied in a flat tone.

"Good. Now, as punishment for your shitty behavior earlier, you're carrying me home and taking me to dinner."

"Yes, my lady. Whatever your heart desires."

"Chocolate. And lots of it."

"Will be done." Kakashi chuckled as he plucked his petite wife from the rooftop and did as she commanded.

…..

Naruto stared at the paper in his hand. He counted to ten before he dared to speak. It was a new habit Hinata had instilled in him. 'Count to ten and think before you speak or act. You're Hokage now.' Damn her for being right all the time. Looking up, he still couldn't think straight as he looked at one of his best shinobi, a close friend, and former sensei. He could feel Hinata's tension from beside him as she shifted. Kakashi stood quietly and stoically as though waiting wasn't bothering him in the slightest. Naruto dropped his gaze and re-read the paper.

"Are you…sure?" Naruto asked, glancing up.

Kakashi smiled at him. "Positive."

"Maybe you'd like to be placed on a waiting roster or—"

"No. My decision is clear and concise and final. Permission to speak as your friend and not your subordinate?"

Naruto snorted. "Oh come on, Kakashi-sensei! You know you can always speak your mind with me!"

"I've fulfilled more than I ever dreamed I could accomplish. I practically raised you and Sasuke. All three of your surpassed me. I couldn't be a more proud and happy sensei when I see my students. You, the Rokudaime Hokage. Your dream finally accomplished. Sakura, the head of the hospital and quickly surpassing even Tsunade-sama herself. I've done all I could possibly imagine. It's time."

"I know but—"

"Naruto. Sakura is pregnant."

Naruto fell silent as he let those words sink in before he grinned his foxy smile from ear to ear. "Seriously?"

"Yes, seriously. It's time for me to take up the initiative and be the support she needs now. I can't do that as an active duty shinobi."

Naruto slowly let the grin fade from his face. He could completely understand just how hard this whole situation was on his sensei. To retire was…well…nearly impossible in the ninja world. Especially since very few lived long enough to retire. "So what do you plan to do to support you both?"

"My child and I are the sole heirs to the Hatake family. We were once a decent sized clan. I never felt the need to spend my family's money on a home or fancy things when I figured the line would die off with me. I assure you, there's plenty to keep my family sustained until I'm a great-grandfather. Sakura also makes a decent living at the hospital. We'll make due."

Naruto frowned as he pondered something. He then slammed his hands down on the desk and rose, pointing at the man. "W-what?! So all those times you made me pay for your ramen you could have easily paid for us all?! You stingy sensei!"

"Naruto!" Hinata barked, exasperated with him. He lost a little steam but not his accusatory glare.

Kakashi laughed and rubbed his neck. "Mah…probably. But think of what good lessons you learned on how to be a good team-mate. Or how to be a kind student to your older sensei."

"You're still a stingy bastard!"

Hinata sighed and rolled her eyes heaven-bound. Naruto lost his fake pout and sat back down. "All right. I accept this, but on one condition."

"Oh…?"

"I get to teach your kids."

Kakashi's masked lips turned into a smirk. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

"All righty then. Approved." Naruto signed the paper and moved it to the pile to be filed away. "Kakashi-sensei...you're the best sensei we could have had. I want you to know that."

Kakashi paused and nodded before turning away. "That means the world to me, Naruto. It really does. I'm proud of you and your father would have been extremely proud of you. As would your mother."

Naruto watched his sensei, a now retired shinobi, step outside his office. His eyes teared a bit at the sentiment. Once the door closed, he turned to Hinata who immediately moved to wrap her arms around him. "I did the right thing…didn't I?"

"Naruto…you did what you needed to do. As a student, a friend, and in some ways…a younger brother. So yes…you did. You saved a family from ever growing up without a father."

Naruto nodded and held her close, ignoring the fact that he was crying softly into her stomach.

Eleven Years, Nine months, and Seven Days Later

"Holy crap!"

Kakashi looked up from the second installment of Netsu Love. The writer for this series was under the pen-name of 'Uzuyobi Rokuyo' and obviously a person who knew the Icha Icha series as well as himself. (Everyone knew who actually wrote it, they just gave Naruto the benefit of a doubt while pretending not to know.)

A kid around the age of eleven rushed in with a grin on his face. His hair was silver-grey and unkempt while his eyes were bright green. In his hands was a paper. "Dad! I passed!"

"Oh?" Kakashi sat up and took the paper from his son's hand. Reading over it quickly, he reached over to ruffle his hair affectionately. "Congratulations, Komugi-kun! Did you swing by the hospital and show your mother?"

"Yeah. She was in surgery though."

"Ah. I see. Well then, we'll just have to hang it up on the fridge for her to see right away, hm?"

"Yeah! Is Saku-chan up from her nap yet?" Komugi asked with a bright smile.

"She should be getting up about now. Want to go check?"

"Sure!" Komugi rushed away down the hallway. Kakashi shook his head and stood. He pinned the paper to the fridge with a proud smile on his face. Since his retirement, he'd forgone wearing his mask. After all…what was the point? He, however, took a very large amount of joy in putting it on just around Naruto. It irked the blonde man to no end that he still, after all these years, hadn't yet seen Kakashi's face. Just to get to him even more, he'd bought Komugi a mask when he was little as well. Komugi had a lot of his father's sadistic amusement in him. Komugi played the same game on his sensei that Kakashi played on his former student. Sakura, although she'd never admit it, was just as evil as they were. She would goad Naruto on until he tried to sneak of peek only to be disappointed.

Komugi returned from the nursery with Saku-chan in his arms. The small toddler had her mother's pink hair. However, her eyes were a light charcoal grey like his. As soon as they reached the kitchen, Saku-chan reached for Kakashi. Komugi handed her over to him. Lifting the toddler up above his head, he made faces at her that made the small girl squeal in delight before bringing her to settle on his side.

"Where would you like to go to celebrate your academy passing?"

Komugi pursed his lips in thought, making Kakashi snicker in amusement. It was a look that was all Sakura.

"Ah! Ichiraku!"

Trying not to groan, he smiled and nodded. "All righty then. I'll let your mom know. She should be getting off her shift soon."

As if on cue, the door opened to admit a tired looking Sakura. The moment she saw her family, the exhaustion melted away from her and she straightened. She crossed to Komugi and ruffled his head.

"I heard you stopped by, kiddo. What's up?'

Komugi, bouncing in excitement, pointed at the fridge. Sakura shot Kakashi a knowing look before she moved to the fridge and looked. She spun around and threw her arms open. "Oh my gosh! Congrats! Come here!"

Komugi lunged into her arms, laughing in delight as she spun him around fully twice before setting him down. "And, and guess what?!"

"It gets better?!" Sakura asked with a grin.

"It does. Guess whose gonna be my sensei?!"

"Hmmm…who?" Sakura asked. Kakashi had to give her credit. She was damned good at making it sound convincing like she actually didn't know when the truth was quite opposite.

"Naruto-niichan!"

"No way!"

"Yes way!" Komugi looked about to burst with glee.

"Well, you know what this calls for! A celebration dinner!"

"Can we go to Ichiraku's?!" Komugi looked at her brightly. Kakashi saw the same reluctance there he had. But Sakura smiled warmly and nodded.

"You bet, kiddo. Go get ready. Daddy and I need to change. Can you watch Saku-chan for a few minutes?"

"Uh-huh." Komugi lifted Saku-chan into his arms and carried her to her nursery. Only after he was out of sight did Kakashi and Sakura share the collective groan before laughing lightly together.

"Well, we have another Naruto on our hands." She stated, moving to hug him.

Kakashi chuckled and pulled her into him. "All be it a more intelligent form…"

With a snort, Sakura slapped him with no energy at all. "Ugh. I guess I'll go prep myself for ramen…"

"The things we do for our kids."

"Agreed." Sakura pulled back before moving to plant a kiss on his lips. Kakashi pulled her back for a better on that when they pulled back from she chuckled. "Keep that up, mister…and we'll never get to dinner."

"Ah, but we must get to dinner. Then I'll be more than happy to sate my wife's appetite."

"How did I get so lucky?"

Kakashi laughed outright this time. "I think you mean, how did you get stuck with me? Funny how it all started with a simple academy exam."

"Yeah…" Sakura grimaced lightly with a smirk. "At least Komugi won't end up married to his sensei."

Kakashi looked horrified at the idea, which only served to make Sakura laugh hard. She moved toward their room to change, leaving him in his horrified state. He looked to the paper and felt the horror disappear as pride took root.

"I hope you're watching your grand-son, dad. If you were half as proud of me as I am of Komugi…than I thank you for always keeping hope in me." Kakashi stated softly before he turned to go prep himself for dinner. After all…he had a mask to place on his face. Chances were Naruto would be at Ichiraku's…

Squee! I have to squee! I didn't foresee this ending quite the way it turned out and I LOVE it! I hope you agree! I wanted to get some really sweet family time in there AND show what sacrificing parents I can see these two as. Hope I did it justice!

Also! Quick side-note! Netsu Netsu is supposed to be a spin-off idea of Icha Icha. Since Icha Icha means basically "Make Out", Netsu Netsu means "Heat Heat". Naruto wrote a similar series to that of Jiraiya's series...and did a piss-poor job of hiding it was himself. Haha!

Thanks for reading and reviewing everyone! I already have another prompt done and am going to start the next! Much love—
