Contaminated
Two grenades, two tripwires, but he didn't trust them. The boy was smart, whatever was wrong with him he couldn't deny it; the boy had brains. And that's why he didn't trust the grenades. No, killing Sam Winchester was something he was going to have to do himself, with his own two hands. That's why he waited, not in the house with his captive, but in the tree, gun in his hands.
And when Sam Winchester showed up, a single shot to the head was all it took.
The brother angry, but he knew how to tie knots. Dean wasn't going anywhere, not unless he let him. He saw the hatred in the other hunter's eyes as he dragged the lifeless body inside, dropping it on the floor. Dean went still, disbelief, anger, confusion racing across his face before he snapped back up and started yelling, his words muffled by the tape.
"I'm sorry, Dean," he shrugged, turning his back on the man. "But it had to be done. He wasn't your brother anymore."
Muttered cusses, and Gordon sighed, knowing the threat without having to hear the words. The abomination was dead, but his job wasn't done. If Sam had been contaminated, how could he know that Dean wasn't? They were brothers, closer than any he had ever seen, if one went through something it was almost guaranteed that the other would as well.
"I'm sorry, Dean." He turned, pistol in hand. "But I just can't risk it."
He left the bodies where they fell, just feet apart, the flames of the burning house consuming them as Gordon Walker drove away. His job was done, two more monsters were out of the picture.
