This is a sequel to "Not Knowing". The team are starting to form relationships while the everyday business of saving the world goes on as usual. Now you see them, now you don't.

Stella gave him a grateful smile and kissed him lightly on the cheek. "I knew there was a reason I was going out with you," she whispered. Then she checked her watched and reluctantly drew away. "Good luck Frank," she said before turning and leaving.

Frank returned to the base to find Dan checking that everyone's comms units were working. He glanced around when Frank walked up and sat in the chair next to him. Frank didn't have to be a mind reader to see that Dan was feeling down and frustrated.

"Stella asked me to pass on her apologies," said Frank.

Dan frowned. "Couldn't she do it herself ?" he asked.

"She had to go and write condolence letters to the families of the agents who died in that attack," explained Frank quietly.

There was a moment's silence, before Dan said, "Oh," very quietly. Then he turned back to his screen and continued to work.

"They've reached their target," said Dan to Frank.

Frank put on his headset. "Okay team. I want you to stick together on this one. Don't break up the team. I would like Tom to carry out the appropriate scans and tests and I need the rest of you to get him into the action and keep him safe. Keep everyone safe. I want all of you back in one piece. Understood ?" asked Frank tensely. There were assurances from the other end of the link.

Dan looked at Frank curiously. "Are you going to tell them about the agents that died last time ?" he asked.

Frank shook his head. "Why ? Do you think it would make any difference ?" he said.

"It would focus my attention, for sure !" said Dan.

"I'm not sure it would focus Tom's though," muttered Frank.

Dan shrugged. "He might surprise you," he said, cryptically.

Meanwhile, near an old abandoned school building, the field team were checking out an apparently rusty, dilapidated metal gate. "There's definitely current running through it," said Tom, waving his Spy Pod towards the gate. "I think it's alarmed. We need to find another way in," he said.

Keri huffed and looked around. "I'm not seeing any other options right now. How about the rest of you ?" she asked.

"We could split up and have a look around," suggested Zoe.

"Frank said we have to stick together," Aneisha reminded her.

"Why ?" asked Zoe.

"I don't know. I'm sure he's got his reasons," said Aneisha. "He sounded really tense on comms," she added. She was sure there was something that Frank wasn't telling them. "Come on, let's make a quick circuit and see what we can find," she said.

Trying to keep out of sight, they started to make a quick circuit of the fence surrounding the old school. They came to a row of skips, piled high with rubble and rubbish. The mound of rubble on one of the skips was higher than the fence and not far from the fence on the other side was a low building. "Perfect !" agreed Keri. She and Aneisha hunted around and found an old ladder which they laid across the fence from the skip to the small building. Zoe scrambled up first and crossed the ladder with ease. Keri followed her and then Aneisha looked at Tom.

"You next," said Aneisha encouragingly.

Tom stuffed his gadgets into his backpack. He didn't want to fail in front of Aneisha. He rubbed his sweaty hands on his trousers and clambered up rather clumsily to the ladder. Slowly and carefully he inched his way across the ladder and breathed out in relief when he reached the safety of the building. Aneisha followed last, not much more quickly than Tom.

Tom started scanning for electrical signals with his Spy Pod. Aneisha enabled the listening device on hers and started to scan the area.

"I'm not getting anything," said Tom.

"I'm picking up voices," said Aneisha. "Over there !" she said pointing.

They all got down from the low roof, using some old bins to break the drop. Then they set off towards where Aneisha had heard voices. They rounded a corner and found they were about to enter a large abandoned school yard. There were voices bouncing off the surrounding walls, and a small group of men were standing talking in the centre of the yard. "Quick ! Over here !" hissed Aneisha, pulling the others behind a pile of rusting metal office furniture. The all peered around to see what was going on.

There was a shout and all of the KORPS agents stood to attention. A woman marched up and started barking out orders. The men paired up and adopted fighting positions. There was a shouted instruction and then suddenly all of the men vanished. They could still hear shouts and the sounds of fighting taking place, but there was nothing to see. "I'm not getting anything !" said Tom, stabbing at the controls on all of his scanning devices in frustration. "Are you getting anything ?" he asked Aneisha who was now wearing an earpiece connected to her Spy Pod.

"All I'm getting is grunts and swearing," she said, arching her eyebrows. "Sully is a lousy, good-for-nothing pig, apparently," she said. The others sniggered.

"I'm getting plenty," said Keri, filming the action with her phone.

"Why don't you use your Spy Pod ?" asked Aneisha.

"The camera on my phone is better," said Keri with a shrug.

"Don't tell Frank that," said Aneisha.

"Are you getting any data Tom ?" asked Frank's voice over their earpieces. They jumped at his sudden interruption.

"Well, not much. There's just some electrical activity," said Tom. "Maybe if we got closer," he suggested, looking at the others. They others all looked back at him with various degrees of disbelief. "Okay, well maybe not," said Tom, feeling deflated.

Keri folded her arms and bumped against an old filing cabin beside her. It rocked ever so slightly and Keri jumped back, but not before a metal drawer slowly started to slide out of the cabinet and then fell to the ground with a crash. Keri cringed and mouthed "Sorry" to the others.

There was a lot of shouting and Aneisha quickly pulled out her earpiece. "They've spotted us. Run !" she ordered. They all leapt to their feet. Tom and Aneisha automatically set off back the way they had come. Keri and Zoe automatically set off in the opposite direction. By the time they realised they were headed away from one another, it was too late to go back. Tom hesitated and looked like he would follow the others, but Aneisha grabbed him by the collar and stopped him. "Keep going !" she hissed. "They'll find another way out !" They heard the sound of footsteps echoing off the walls between the buildings and Tom needed no further persuasion. He ran as fast as his legs would take him across the broken concrete grounds to their ladder. "Frank ! We need picking up, fast !" gasped Aneisha. "We'll get out where we came in."

"The van will meet you there," said Dan's voice. "Where are the others going ?" he asked.

"No idea. I doubt if they do either," gasped Aneisha. Tom wasn't trying to talk. It was taking all of his oxygen intake just to run at the same speed as Aneisha. He made a mental note to restart his training runs.

They reached the low building and leapt up onto the bins and then the roof. Aneisha watched in amazement as Tom scuttled speedily across the ladder. She followed a little more slowly, amazed at the difference in Tom once there were killer agents on his tail. As soon as they jumped down from the skip, a black MI9 van screeched to a halt and they leapt into the open door before it sped away.

Keri and Zoe had no trouble keeping pace with one another. They sprinted at top speed around the corner of the building. "I have no idea where we're going !" shouted Keri.

"Me neither. I thought you knew !" replied Zoe. The two girls glanced at one another in realisation and started laughing.

"Aaaagh ! I really can't afford to be laughing right now !" shouted Keri, running more raggedly now. "Shit ! More fence !" she howled.

"I've …. got …. something ….." panted Zoe, pulling something out of her top pocket. She pointed to it, but now didn't have the breath to explain what it was.

Keri waved her hand at Zoe. "Whatever …. just …... yeah," she managed to gasp.

Zoe ran to the fence and bright light shone from the device. It was her lipstick laser cutter. "Sometimes the old ones are the best," gasped Zoe. She rapidly cut a rectangle in the fence. "I guess we don't care about the alarm now," she commented as she cut through the final bit of wire. Keri kicked hard at the panel and it shot out of the other side.

"Are you ready for a pickup ?" asked Dan's voice in their ears.

"Damn right !" said Keri. "Better make it snappy !" she said, glancing over her shoulder at the agents who had nearly caught up with them. Zoe had shot through the hole in the fence and Keri dived through after her, rolling back to her feet. They took off down the street and saw a van racing to catch up with them. It screamed to a halt, the door swung open and they leapt in. They only just managed to close the door again before the van raced off down the street.

"Woah. That was a bit too close," said Keri, throwing herself into a seat next to Aneisha.

"You guys looked like you were having fun !" commented Aneisha.

"Yeah, what can I say ? It was teamwork !" said Keri. Zoe giggled.
