"It's my time…I have done my job and I know that you will be protected by Eric."

"Eric?! He doesn't care-"

"Yes, he does," Godric urged urgently. "Be patient with him. Right now he's the beast…now make him into Prince Charming."

"No, no, no, I don't want him. I want you," she said frantically.

"You feel something for him though…just neither one of you don't realize it yet," Godric told her.

She cupped his face as tears rolled down her face and kissed him passionately. She whispered against his lips, "I love you."

"I love you too." He said firmly with a soft smile on his face.

Abigail let go of him then stepped away from him as the sun started to rise.

"Are you afraid?" she asked.

"No," he confessed. "I am full of joy…I was right about your name. You only bring people joy which is what you have always brought me."

Godric turned to the sun as he took off his shirt and closed his eyes. Blue flames erupted around him and soon he found only light finally.

THREE YEARS LATER

Beautiful.

That was Godric's first thought as he opened his eyes and found her staring down at him with such love and happiness that he had never seen before in a human and only in his Child.

He attempted to smile up at her, but he failed greatly as his head started to pound heavily in his head. His face twisted into pain as memories he didn't recognize flood into his mind. He threw his head back as his body thrashed from side to side, the pain of the memories being too much for him. For over two thousand years had he locked away those horrible memories from his mind and now were they searing into his mind. He felt someone else's memories crawling into his nerves and the deepest part of his mind that would drive anyone mad.

Godric passed out from the amount of pain that he had been in.

Abigail frantically shook Godric's shoulders and shouted, "Godric! Wake up!"

As if on cue his eyes popped opened and then he did something that surprised her. Godric grabbed the back of her neck and kissed her passionately on the lips. Abigail squeaked for the first time in forever while he planted a kiss on her. His other hand gently weaved itself into her golden curls like he always had.

Abigail pulled away from him and stood up. "Wow…okay, I was not expecting that kind of greeting. I was sort of expecting, 'Oh my gods, Abby, thank you for saving my life or hi there.'"

Godric managed to crack a smile and then he breathed in and out. "I can breathe…and I seem to have a heart beat too."

"How are you feeling?" Sookie asked concerned. "Are you hungry? You probably are so Bill and I will go in the kitchen and make something for you while you two talk."

Godric nodded and then his smile dropped when he saw her pregnant stomach. Bill and Sookie quickly left the living room as Godric wrapped the sheet around his hips to cover his nakedness.

"Hey, get some clothes too for Godric," Abigail called to them. "Hi. Long time no see, eh?"

Godric raised an amused eyebrow. "Who's the lucky man?"

Abigail opened her mouth to answer when someone gave a hard knock on the front door. She immediately went to the door and opened it.

"Really," she said with exasperation when she saw that it was Eric. Oh come on! She knitted her brows in confusion when she saw that there were no veins on his chest.

She walked towards him and her fingers softly pulled down his tank top. She widened her eyes at the veinless pale muscled chest with hair on it and she looked up into his eyes which had a mischievous glint in them.

"What?" she whispered. "How?"

"I found the cure." Eric kissed her passionately on the lips as he cupped her face in his large hands. "I wanted you to know before I leave."

"Again?" Abigail practically whined. "Why are you to leave when you've just gotten back?"

"I have a debt to pay to someone."

"Sarah Newlin," she realized and pulled away from him. "You found her."

"How did you…" Eric trailed off when his eyes looked behind her and found his maker who had a sheet around his hips. "Godric."

"Oh," Abigail said when she looked behind her and at Godric. "Um, yeah…I-I can explain that."

Godric smirked. "So I was right…you do care for Eric."

Godric walked forwards and mused, "I knew it. I have been waiting so long to say this to you."

She furrowed her brows in both confusion and interest. "Say what?"

"I told you so," Godric said. "My son. It is good to see you again. How long have I been gone?"

"Three years," Eric answered immediately, still stunned at seeing his maker in the flesh right in front of him with a beating heart. "How-How are you human?"

"I have an idea," Abigail interrupted quickly. "Let's go inside and talk about this."

They followed her inside and she mumbled under her breath, "God I wish I could drink a large glass of wine right now."

She heard both vampires chuckle behind her as they went into the living room. Abigail went to the couch and sat down in it. She closed her eyes because of the soft comfort of the couch. She felt a cold hand on top of her belly and she smiled at Eric when her eyes opened and stared into his very blue orbs. She put her own hand on top of his.

"And it seems you're a married man too," Godric said softly. "And to think that I thought I had seen everything. I can feel your son…he's powerful."

"Really?" Abigail asked disappointment filled within her. Eric's hand tightened around hers and concerned expressed his face.

"What's wrong?"

"I…" Abigail sighed in defeat. "I'm afraid. I'm afraid of the life that our son has in store for him. I'm afraid that we'll have to give him up-the thing we love most so that he could have a chance at a normal life like what my parents did to me, I'm frightened that we won't be able to protect him from our enemies.

"I won't let that happen," Eric vowed. "He will be with us. I promise you."

"You break your promises, Eric," Abigail interrupted. "You lied to me. Why did you lie to me about Godric?"

Eric looked ashamed for a moment, but then it passed. Abigail looked to Godric for answers, but she found that he already knew what his child was ashamed of. Godric grave a nod to Eric then left.

Eric licked his lips and told her, "I am afraid too, Abby. Godric's been alive for two years now. Joe had given me a choice between waking up my maker and you falling in love with him again or letting him stay asleep and you to fall in…to f-fall in love with me and be mine forever. I was selfish and chose the selfish choice. I was already in love with you and I couldn't give you up."

Abigail became still and stared off into the distance. Eric moved closer to her on the couch. He held her hands in his, his own eyes searching for her, his Goldilocks.

"Please say something," he urged softly.

Abigail faced him and replied, "If it weren't for your selfish love for me then I would still be alone. I wouldn't be a mother and I…a lot of things wouldn't have happened if we weren't together. Honestly, my mind is telling me that I shouldn't trust you because you keep lying to me, but my heart says otherwise. I can't help that I am unconditionally and madly in love with you. Our baby means something…something good and pure."

"What that?"

"Hope, Eric and that is something you have lost for over a thousand years."

Eric grabbed the back of her neck and placed a chaste kiss on her soft pink lips. His tongue danced with hers sensually. He laid her on her back as she opened her legs for him. He settled himself in between her legs, his hands roaming all over her. Abigail moaned against his lips as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She could feel herself already become soaking wet from the arousal she had for him.

Something wet went down her legs and soaked around her pants. Both her and Eric stilled, pulling away from each other.

"Did you just-"

"No…I-I think my water just broke," Abigail confessed.

Abigail held her belly in her hands when she felt this extreme amount of pain shooting in her lower stomach. She cursed loudly and heard Eric bellow for Sookie, Bill, and Godric. Abigail leaned into Eric's side as he held her closer to him. She gripped his shoulder as she tried to come over the pain.

"Abby? Abby, stay with me!"

"I'm not dying, you dumbass," she snapped at him viciously. "I'm having a baby! Jesus Christ, this fucking hurts!"

"Come on, I'll take you to one of the bedrooms."

Abigail shook her head quickly. "Nope. I am not having a home birth. No way in hell am I letting you vampires smell the blood and have your fangs come popping out when I'm having this kid ripping apart my magical vagina. No, we are going to a hospital."

"Oh, really," Eric said as she pushed herself away from him and tried to walk forward. "By all means, if you can walk in a straight line to the door without holding your stomach then we will go to the hospital."

"Fine," she bit out.

Abigail held her chin up and stood up straight. She walked a little bit before saying, "See? I can walk. I'm almost there."

Eric scoffed and informed her, "You only moved two steps before cringing."

Eric immediately lifted her into his arms as she yelled out in pain. Just then Bill, Sookie, and Godric came running into the room, eyes wide.

"Just now you come," Eric said in annoyance at them.

Bill stepped forward. "I know what to do. Here. Put her on the dinner table. It's long enough for this."

Sookie had set blankets on top of the long table along with pillows for Abigail to lie on. They all quickly went into the diner room and Eric set Abigail down into the table. He helped Sookie as they took off Abigail's clothes, pulling over a long nightgown on her.

Godric was silent as he and Bill came back into the room when they were done changing her. This worried Eric because he would've guessed for Godric to be worried just like Eric is right now, but instead he had a cool expression on his face.

"Wait, who's gonna you know," Sookie asked as she gestured to the pregnant-the angry pregnant woman on the table.

Abigail rolled her eyes. "I don't give a shit who does whatever, but I do give a shit if they even can even be a midwife or something to me. God, can someone please get this kid out of me already. He's pressing up against every nerve that can cause pain. What the hell, he really wants to hurt me right now!"

Bill chuckled in amusement and she glared furiously at him. "He's eager to get out."

Abigail scowled. "Please tell me you're not gonna go down there!"

"NO!" Eric bellowed in anger.

"Ew," Sookie said.

"Of course not!" Bill protested.

"I'll do it," Godric suggested as he set out tools that she wondered where he got them from onto the table.

"I've already called the doctor," Eric reassured.

"Besides, thanks and all, Godric, but I really don't want my ex-boyfriend near my open vagina while the baby who's father is your son and my husband-"

"So you're finally accepting me as your husband now," Eric mused smugly.

Abigail slowly turned her head to Eric and she gave him these eyes that were very frightening even to him and growled lowly at him, "Shut. Up. Eric."

Eric kissed her forehead as the doorbell rang. Godric answered it and in came Doctor Ludwig with her bag in her hand.

"Everyone out of the room," Dr. Ludwig ordered.

"I'm not leaving her," Eric and Sookie said simultaneously.

Abigail sighed in frustration and propped herself up on her elbows. "Bill and Godric get out. Sookie and Eric get to stay. Do it now or when I am on my feet again will I make you Bill want to die faster and you Godric regret to have ever been brought back on this earth. Do what the doctor says."

Bill and Godric walked out of the room and Sookie and Eric are by Abigail's side, holding her hands tightly. Abigail smiles weakly up at Sookie, a silent 'thank you' in her eyes.

"Okay, now spread your legs open, Mrs. Northman," the doctor ordered.

"Push! Push! Push, Mrs. Northman," Dr. Ludwig barked at Abigail.

The lights flickered which didn't go unnoticed by Sookie before there was a wail heard in the room which meant that the baby was born.

"Congratulations, it's a boy," the doctor responded emotionless as always.

Abigail's chest heaved up and down as she strained her neck to look at her son. Dr. Ludwig handed the baby to Sookie and took care of the afterbirth when Godric and Sookie quickly went to go clean off the baby.

"I'll send you my bill," Dr. Ludwig said to Eric.

"Thank you, doctor," Eric responded as she walked out of the house.

Sookie wrapped him in a white sheet, handing him to Abigail and Eric then pulled the sheet that was over her legs, covering her private parts thankfully. The baby wailed until he was in his mother's arms. Vibrant bright blue eyes with a head of very light brown hair, but it could clearly be blonde stared up into their faces. He blinked at them and curled his fists, looking to try and fight a yawn, but failed when his fists rubbed his eyes in tiresome. He had such beautiful pale skin that she could only see Eric in their son now, but she really didn't care.

Abigail cradled the small baby in her arms, feeling tired, but she couldn't bear to let go of him and go to sleep because of him. Eric genuinely smiled down at his son as his index finger as grabbed onto by a tiny hand. Sookie, Bill, and Godric all looked at the baby closely, smiles on their faces.

"He's strong," Eric mused. "He's so beautiful."

"He is, isn't he…" Abigail trailed off in agreement.

"He is one beautiful little monster even I must agree with that," an amused voice said from the doorway.

The smiles that were on everyone's face seemed to falter then turn into an angry straight line as they looked at Joe who was standing in the doorway with a sly smile on his face.

Godric stood in front of them protectively. "You're not welcomed here."

"Oh, don't be that way, Ric." Joe teased. "I thought that you and I were friends. We did have some pretty good times together, didn't we?"

Godric narrowed his eyes. "We are not friends nor we will ever be or have ever been. Our 'good times' were you ripping me from death and torturing me every chance you got."

"Stand down, Godric and stop throwing a pissy fit. I swear that old vampires throw them every single day about the tiniest things."

Joe took a step forward, but Godric stepped in his way, a cold look on his face.

"Get out of my way," Joe demanded icily.

"No. I won't let you hurt this child," Godric replied.

"And neither will we," Bill agreed as he held hands with Sookie who glared at Joe.

Pam sped into the room and stood next to Eric. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but…if you hurt this family, I will send you back to Hell and make you suffer."

Damn…they really are my family. I guess I'm not alone anymore.

The thought makes Abigail smile brightly at Joe as she cradled her son to her chest protectively. "See, Joe? I'm not alone. In fact, you can't hurt me anymore because I have something you will never have."

Joe smirked smugly. "Pray do tell what that is exactly?"

"Love." Abigail told him then looked at every person in the room. "I remember something someone told about love….that in the end, love really does conquer all. It's the most powerful thing in the world."

"So I've heard," Joe replied evenly.

"So how was your unfinished business with that demon?" she asked curiously.

"It's still in progress," Joe said as he fixed steel blue tie with his dark blue pinstriped suit. His hair was short and now cut gelled back. He turned to walk out of the door, but then stopped. "Oh by the way, no matter what you or any of you do that child will never be normal. He doesn't stand a chance at a normal life now that I think about it. See you later, Scooby Gang."

Joe walks out of the door and Abigail jumps up in excitement with a bright smile on her face that made Eric's heart soften at the sight of her.

"Oh! I think I have a name for him," she quickly told him excitedly.

Eric raised an amused eyebrow at her. "Oh, really, my little wife? Please do tell. I'm practically at the edge of my seat just waiting to find out."

Abigail chuckled and said, "In all good time, but first things first. Pam-"

"Don't you dare say it," Pam scolded sternly with her hands on her hips.

"Don't you-"

"Stop."

"Want to-"

"No."

"Hold-"

"I will kill you myself."

"Your little-"

"I will stake myself."

"Brother," Abigail asked sweetly.

Pam rolled her eyes and huffed, "No. I hate him. He's tiny."

"I like him," Sookie squeaked. "He's so cute and chubby."

"That's why I hate him," Pam responded. "He's too small."

"He's our teacup," Eric mused.

Their son makes a face at Eric and Abigail laughed. "Even he already hates it."

Eric leans closer to his son's blank face which sort of reminds Abigail of Eric and says to him in an almost stern voice, "Well, I don't care if you like it because that it what I am going to call you for all eternity. Understood?"

The baby looks not amused for a spilt second before cracking a wide smile up at Eric and making a gurgling sound.

"Now he's laughing at me," Eric came to the conclusion.

The baby raised his arms in the air and wiggled his limbs around in excitement.

"My young warrior's already trying to manipulate you…you must be proud," Abigail teased Eric.

"Marcellus," Godric said. "You named your son Marcellus. I like it."

Abigail smiled over at Godric who returned her smile. "Do you want to hold him?"

"Not yet…" He trailed off, looking at Marcellus.

"Marcellus," Eric tested the name on his tongue. "Marcellus Northman."

"Ah," Abigail scolded, pointing a finger at him.

Eric rolled his eyes. "Marcellus Thornes DeSangue Stackhouse Northman. There, happy?"

"Very, Mr. Northman."

"You frustrating, stubborn and complex woman. You both are gonna give me a headache."

Sookie widened her eyes a little bit. "Oh lord, another Abigail roaming the earth-"

"In an expensive suit," Pam finished with a secretive smile on her face.

"I'm not that bad," Abigail protested.

"Yes, you are," they all said in agreement.

Abigail shrugged and looked down at Marcellus in her arms. "Guess I'll have another person to add to my team then. Just you and I, Marcel since your daddy doesn't want to be apart of our A-Team now."

Eric blanches and quickly looks down at Marcel saying, "No, I didn't say that, Marcellus. She's lying to you."

"He can't even understand either of you," Pam tells them in exasperation.

"Well, someone's grumpy," Abigail whispers to Marcel who gives her a wide smile in return.
