Part VII: Water

I know the story has been moving at a slow pace and I apologize. The limited amount of time I am able to finish these stories frustrates me as well. I did not have internet connection for a while and it threw off my plans, I'm working on the next few chapters now.

Enjoy The Chapter and check out Jokermask18 and SilverOmega01's stories, they're pretty cool.

Sky traveled to the North Pole on his father's flying bison, it got there at a surprising speed, but the reception he got was almost as cold as the climate around him.

"You look for a waterbending teacher?" One of the main elders of the tribe asked him. "But you are clearly an airbender, one does not bend more than one element unless he is one of Romik's Elite. You do not strike me as Romik's Elite, so your request is impossible. Good day, traveler"

"I was told by the ancients to learn waterbending" Sky stubbornly proclaimed. "And I will NOT leave until I do"

"No trainer will take you in" The elder told him. "So if your words are true, your stay will be a permanent one. Welcome to the Water Tribe"

"Thank you for your hospitality" Sky told him. "The ancients will reward you in the afterlife, but I will find a teacher, I will learn waterbending, and I will prove myself worthy to you, and the whole world".

And so Sky searched, and searched and searched and searched. But he did not find a waterbending teacher, what the elder had said was true, nobody took him seriously. Eventually, Sky gave up for the day and sat on a porch.

"What is wrong, young airbender?" A rather strange looking old man asked him.

"Well the ancients told me that I need to find a waterbending teacher, but nobody will teach me" Sky told him. "They don't take me seriously and just look at me like I'm a stupid, useless child"

"You are not stupid and useless, airbender" The man told him. "But you are a child and there is nothing wrong with that. If it means that much to you, I will teach you waterbending"

"You?" Sky asked, skeptical. "Your just an old man, what have to teach about waterbend-". Suddenly a wave of ice and water knocked Sky to the ground, he used his airbending to dry off and the man helped him up.

"Lesson number one" The man said. "Never underestimate your opponent, overconfidence can be downfall. Now let's start over, my name is Chon. And I would be honored to teach the one whom the ancients deem worthy, there are prophecies about you, and if what they say is true, you will defeat Romik and safe us all. But first, you must learn the other three elements, starting with Water. And then moving on to Earth, and Fire"

"My name is Sky" the young airbender replied. "and Thank You"

Over the next few months, Sky trained every day and every night. At first, he did not know how to handle the element of water, but he quickly learned. Under the tyranny of Romik, it was hard for him to concentrate on a free spirit, but now that he was away from the center of his empire, he embraced it, and it helped him with the free-flowing peace and concentration required for waterbending. When he finally mastered it, he stood proud before his teacher.

"Well done" Chon told him. "Now you must travel to Omashu, where you will learn Earthbending, but beware. For Romik's Empire lurks around every corner. Even here. News of your power will spread, and Romik will not like it"

And spread it did, people soon heard of the airbender who learned how to waterbend, and believed he was the chosen one, destined to defeat Romik and his forces. Eventually, it also spread to Romik himself.

"My lord" one of the guards said. "The prophecies, they are coming true"

"Balderdash!" Romik shouted. "I cannot be defeated, send my best assassins to Omashu and the Fire Bending cities, we will find this airbender and crush him, he will not live to battle the mighty Romik, he is not worthy to fight me, and my empire will last forever"

I know it's short, but I lost some of my notes. Chapter 54 will be up a soon as possible, lightbulbs have gone off in my brain.

Until Next Time,
